Location - Within walking distance to Trader Joe's, Starbucks and Amy's Ice Cream. Close to First Watch. Outstanding front desk staff. Can't remember her name, but she wore glasses and worked the 3pm to 11:00pm shift, slender and very personable. Irony - can't remember her name but she remembered mine every time I approached her. The view of the city from the room was great. Stayed in room 836. loved the room but there was the constant of water running or some sort of plumbing issue. I do mean "constant"! For the entire two day stay. Really an issue at night. Surely someone has mentioned this before.

CON: 1) There is a $25 daily fee referenced as “Destination” (separate from City and State Tax) on final bill and this really should be disclosed in Hotels.com website when booking hotel. 2) Paying for internet connection because your device 5G connection is practically dysfunctional. (The iPhone worked okay but not the iPad. ) We’ve always paid daily parking so no surprise there.

Stayed at the Renaissance for a business trip so didn't use many of the amenities but I love our stays there because its a beautiful hotel, really nice updated spotless rooms in a great location. The most surprising part of our fantastic experiences at Renaissance over the years has been the value - you will not find a finer hotel experience for the price anywhere in Austin period.

Room was very clean. I am not sure aside from the size that the suite was worth the $$$. The bed was very comfortable

We stayed in the luxury suite and it was very luxurious to say the least. Good size room with a comfortable sectional couch, comfortable and clean king size bed, and they provide Kevin Murphy shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Room was very clean. The hot tub and pool were also very clean and fun to lounge in.

Terrific staff, but both my colleague and I got sick after eating there (tacos in both cases). I would also have loved a different view than onto the indoors atrium, and a better coffee machine in the room (like a Nespresso).

The room was nice. The Restaurant was definitely understaffed. Wait time was 30 minutes and once seated the wait time for the food was over an 1 30 minutes. We could only order an appetizer because of how long the wait was. Multiple people seemed to be upset at the wait time as well

Location was convenient for our requirements Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever had at a Marriott. Food at the restaurants was terrible and got food poisoning from an omelette. Several meals came cold and we had to ask for them to be reheated

I had an issue with my heat. My heat was not working and it was extremely COLD in my room. After several calls with onsite management, I was told someone was coming to my room to check the temperature and no one ever came to my room, after FREEZING for over an hour, I called the front desk and suggested that they move me to a new room. I was moved to another room that was not as great as my original room.

My family usually does not visit this area, but it was the chosen hotel for an event and it suited that purpose really well. The event room was very nice. The outside pool turned out to be lovely (nicer than we realized, once we got in the water we appreciated the canopy of trees). The suite was very eclectic - like something from the set of the 1968 film "2001: A Space Odyssey " - but spacious and with a very nice king bed. Parking was a challenge because the place is really popular for events.

Drinks at the bar were good. The room was clean. Adequate pillows. Plenty of space. Service at the bar was lacking. Food was cold. Booked a room specifically with an 'atrium view' and our windows overlooked the top of a building and air conditioner units and part of a parking lot. No atrium view at all. No balcony. Very basic room. Expected a nicer room for the price paid.

Love this hotel. Have for years. Location. Cleanliness. Easy in and out! ESPN didn’t work and my husband was so disappointed. They did make an adjustment in our bill which helped make the situation palatable. The only other thing that my husband and I both noticed separately was the slickness of the shower floor once you used the soap and shampoo. VERY dangerous. I was extremely careful - they may need to add a mat.

My husband and daughter stayed here and after check-in, used only cash the entire stay. After they checked out and got home, my husband started noticing charges from the hotel. Not 1 or 2 charges, more like 6 or 7. When he called the hotel they said that they were his charges while staying… he paid cash for everything. They dropped the charges after looking into it and seeing receipts. But then a few days later, more charges popped up. This time I called the manager and he said he’d look into it and call me back that day, it’s been days and we still haven’t heard anything and the charges are still on his card.

Also, understaffed at the restaurant and waiting really long time for a meal or a check.

The lobby stinks like molds, the room also stinksc no bag for the laundry And then we eat breakfast in there restaurant name Knotty’s and the sausage is still bloody. So I ask again and the lady gave me 3 sausages and still uncooked. If I will have to choose between Waffle House and the Knotty’s I will eat at the Waffle House. We paid $43 for breakfast and end up in the bathroom. Just nasty!!! I would rate this hotel 2 stars!

During my recent stay at Renaissance Austin Hotel , I encountered a concerning issue that significantly impacted my experience: a severe shortage of staff. This was particularly evident in the handling of guest luggage. Regardless of a guest's physical condition, even if one is handicapped, there is absolutely no assistance available for transporting luggage to the rooms. This lack of basic service is not just inconvenient but can be a significant challenge for those who are not able to manage heavy luggage on their own. The absence of support in this basic aspect of hospitality was both surprising and disappointing. It's a fundamental expectation that a hotel will provide necessary aid, especially in managing luggage, to ensure a comfortable and accessible experience for all guests. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. It's important to note that this was my first encounter with such an issue at Renaissance Austin Hotel. However, the experience was far from satisfactory and left a lasting negative impression. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the staffing issues to improve the experience for future guests.

We checked in , the front desk guy didn’t mention anything so it wasn’t until we got to the room that we discovered there was only one bed. We came a long way and also have to drive a long way back to Oklahoma so we needed the accommodations to be as planned. My son had a rough night sleeping on the sofa bed provided. I’m relying on him for part of the long drive back home and now it’ll be more of a challenge to get back safely without the proper rest. Considering we paid so much for this room the least we could expect is the basic accommodations purchased. I intend to do a chargeback and look to get a reasonable credit for this issue

I paid for parking at the front desk. However when I got to my card there was a card that wanted to go online & pay for parking again.

I liked the grounds, they were green and pretty, with some nice sitting areas. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. So it was fine, just don’t expect luxury and know that they will nickel and dime you.

Very friendly staff all over property!!! Great service from room to checkout!! Nice views. Good options for meals, shopping, fun. Quiet rooms. Liked how front desk put us not right next to others on floor, even though they could have. Been here 3x. Will be back.

Stayed here a couple dozen times over the years…current staff/management far from the excellent service of the past. Desk staff was curt and rude at check-in. Reserved a premium room and was put into an unclean room with broken lamps and non functioning tv remote. Had to call front desk twice to get simple issues resolved.

At check in, I was told that I had a standard king bedroom. I was traveling with a same sex friend and we never reserve a king room. We always try to reserve some type of suite. In fact, on this occasion, we had reserved an executive suite. This accommodation was confirmed by Hotels.com and by the hotel. This reservation was made on 7/19. Not only did we not get the room we reserved. we did not get a credit for the difference in the price of the room. We were only given Bonvoy points. We are not happy and wonder about our reservation of the same type of room on 9/16.

My room faced the atria which was often noisy with music, laughing, shouting, etc. Walls are not very soundproofed. Room and bathroom are slightly run-down for a 4-star hotel. Unexpected $20/night parking fee, not administered by the hotel.

The room assigned was not quiet even though I requested one when check in.

Great place

We love this place! Two pools - and the updates to the outdoor pool are SO nice! - a good bar and restaurant, glass elevators, huge suites. It's our favorite non-downtown Austin hotel.

I got the room that I had asked for with rolling shower which was very convenient for our needs.

Very nice hotel in a good location. Lots of amenities on site between dining, drinks, gym, etc. The atrium is like no other. The only things I was not thrilled about was my room smelled like pet urine, and the curtains had blood spots on them. The room had ample ventilation to where I could clear the smell for the most part though. I doubt all rooms are like this though. It’s a great property overall and the staff are friendly/ helpful.
