Bed was not great. Kids pool need some repairs. For my opinion they can do better.

The room that was reserved for me was on the first floor and probably the worst room they have. I asked if they can change the room for me but they said that I have to upgrade to get another room. I ended spending an extra $100 for the 2 nights to change the room

Staying here is about the location. For a family of 4 seeking a staycation, the amenities beyond the pool were quite limited. The family zone was run-down with no structured activities. The view from the balcony was lovely but it felt more like a Hampton Inn than a posh resort. Finally you get hit with multiple little hidden fees that end up costing as much as the stay, including a 2% credit card fee - would be better if they just baked this into the price rather than dinging you at check-out with a negative surprise. I think it’s better for adults than kids.

Check in was fine. Even after I called for early check in if you arrive before 2PM they charge you an extra $50 to use the facility. I see no reason for this. This was a Friday and the parking lot was 1/2 full. The bell man Elvis was very polite. The 1963 main restaurant on site was pretty bad. The patio is old, the canvas tarp leaked really bad, so we had to move inside. The 1st night the service was ok but the kitchen was very slow. The food ok, but nothing to brag about. The next day breakfast buffet was ok but service was bad. We kept having to track down someone for fresh coffee. The pool adult only area was nice. Some old staining on the bottom and the pool bar that was to open at 11, really didn't until 11: 25. At the end of the day, just ok. Not sure i will go back.

Pool, beds, grounds very nice. Rooms very dated, toilet made a shot gun noise, tv old, no access to app sign in or movie rentals. Tv small. Carpet stained, room very musty, ceiling molding damaged old. Coffee awful, no in room microwave. Drinks at pool very expensive mandatory 20% gratuity. Only 1 restaurant nice. Balcony and Lakeview very nice!

Outdoor pool and slide was great for our child as well as the family fun zone. Next time we’d like to book a cabana and spa, which they had great deals on, seemed to get values worth.

Wonderful service …..receptionists are professional and friendly. HK team so powerful room was cleaned and refreshing.We will back soon

The resort is always a good time for us. The pool is fun, the kids love the tube ( do wish it stayed open till pool closes though cause they close it early ).. rooms are always clean, staff is always SO nice and help with whatever you need! We bring our boat or jet skis and keep them at the marina and the marina is just as friendly and helpful! The only thing we were disappointed in this trip was the restaurant on site .. the service was AWFUL and the food was not as good as it used to be. I don't think we will be eating there anymore unfortunately BUT that's not gunna stop us from staying at the resort!

We booked a Junior Suite with balcony. The room was VERY old peeling furniture, stains all over the carpet, white stains on the carpet, spiderwebs on the patio with active spiders crawling all around. we couldn't even enjoy the balcony! view was ok. management could not move us to another room and this was just a bad experience. $10 to park on a hill not covered! why are we paying to park in a lot on top of resort fees? This place may have been great once upon a time but def not anymore. Our weekend getaway was ruined.

The property is dated. I read that they have done upgrades recently but they were hard to identify. Our first room was unkept. There were large stains in the floor and on the curtains. We had a spider in our bathroom and poorly repaired holes on the bathroom counter. We asked to move rooms but was told that we had to wake to the morning because there were no comparable rooms available. In the morning we were moved to another room. It also has large stains in the carpet and was dated but it was an improvement. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The 63 restaurant was pretty empty yet very slow. We ate there twice. Both times our table was dirty. The first time the greeter noticed and did wipe it. The second time they did not. The second time, there was only one other inside table occupied but the tables were not being bussed. There was a large spill of cereal that stayed on the floor the entire time that we were there. There were also several tables that were dirty (dishes and glasses from past guests). They were not cleaned the entire time we were there. Overall, it could have been better with more actual seen renovations and cleaning.

Everything was great besides the restaurant. Cost to food quality made it pretty overpriced.

The adult pools need resurfacing. Quite a bit of chipping and rough on the feet.

The restaurant on property we went to for three days was awful service even when only people in restaurant. Way over priced for the pack of service Very disappointing

Ryan was great and the waiter which bae I forgot at the 63 restaurant made our stay better even the chef was amazing.

The room was not cleaned well. Most of the restaurants closed early and the hotel incentives that were initially offered were changed after check-in.

If you can ignore front desk unprofessionalism and lack of caring, then property is great. No accountability and no quick resolution. Watch out for main restaurant if you have a food allergy. They mark most things as good for food allergies, but they are mislabeled. Had to get the chef to come out and go through the menu to share what was safe and what was not.

Not very impressed. Multiple requests through their messaging for early check in, never got a human reply just the automated emails. No wine either for room with my status on Expedia. Mentioned to staff. Oh well, is all I got.

The host in the restaurant was rude, Gregory. They were out of body wash. We had to ask for extra towels and coffee. The housekeeping do not speak any English. Makes it hard to communicate with them.

Hello, the staff was very helpful, friendly, and attentive. We stayed in a lake view 2 bedroom that's dated, the floors were stained, so was the furniture, and the bed headboards were peeling. We did like the pool area, or was clean, the bar doesnt stay open late enough out there. The hot tub was not clean but the guest were nice and the staff made the on site experiences worth it. The tables in the bar were not cleaned this morning when we at breakfast and the cinnamon coffee was cold. I'd like to shout out George, wow, he went above and beyond to make my birthday weekend memorable. Cheers to the staff at the front desk and the parking crew, friendly and funny. I will come back but only if the rooms are better taken care of.

I got the top room Curtain were having oil stains on them and spider webs in balcony then got them clear but no fumigation was done and there were many small flying insect. The room had its own bad smell like when the ac is not working smell of heat and plastic and wood don't know but it was bad to sleep i woke up 3 time in night. But the other facilities and amenities were good enjoyed the amenities but not the room.

Great time to visit off season, felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. All staff friendly and attentive.

Did a one night Saturday stay. Enjoyed the pool area and gym. Beautiful pool and well equipped gym. Just unhappy that the bar at the pool stopped serving food at 6pm and drinks at 7 pm for a Saturday night when there were still plenty of people around.

Clean room, Nice pool. The hotel was originally built in the 1960s and while some parts have been updated like the spa and fitness area, other parts could use some love like the Adult pool (needs a shock) and hotel room bathrooms (quite dated).

Property was well kept and maintained. Rooms were clean but a bit older than expected. Staff were all very friendly. The pool and swim up bar and view were great although a bit dated. Overall stay was enjoyable, peaceful, and I would recommend staying here to others.

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay this may not be the one. Unfortunately you can hear everything from the rooms next to yours. Our first night we couldn’t get to sleep because kids next room were crying and loud until after 2 am . We contacted the front office to make sure kids were supervised by adults around 12am but the crying and loud noise didn’t go away after 2am

Other than what the hotel offered for small things, no shopping nearby. Rooms very clean.

The property has some wear and tear and needs some renovations. While I had a few issues with housekeeping and my spa appointment, I must say the management reached out to quickly rectify the situations, which helped make my stay a little better. While I won't be back it's more about the facility and amenities and less about the customer service

The pool looked great but the weather was too cold . The facility and staff were great and look forward to returning.

Our first contact was Elvis who was the most pleasant and provided a warm welcome and send off with every encounter! He was so helpful and sweet! We enjoyed our stay- it was a nice getaway with great views. Having traveled with our 2 young children we thoroughly appreciated the kids area and kid pool!

Excellent Service. I want to give a special shot out to Elvis, bell boy. He went above and beyond to take care of our bags while we waited to be check in and same during our check out time while we went and enjoy breakfast.

Food is good and not overpriced, breakfast has fresh fruits and good portions to allow you to skip lunch. Building and room is older but nice, bathrooms could have leveled up to a better shower experience. Overall great! We’d come again for a weekend getaway from our life in Austin, but will also check other ones around the lake.

I had five rooms for a company retreat. The spa was great and, of course, so were the views. The location of the resort was great, too. The rooms were a bit dated and the carpets were dirty in most. We also had an awful experience at lunch in 63 where we waited a very long time to place our order (it seemed the restaurant was understaffed at that time. The rooms seemed overpriced for the conditions they were in. If it wasn't for the spa experience, our overall experience would have been below expectations.

No idea why it was We ordered a pizza and were told the size we wanted was 6 slices. When it arrived it was essentially a personal size pizza cutting 8 tiny pieces, not enough for 3 people. On top of that it was burnt on crust and underneath significantly and there was zero sauce. We called to complain and it was taken off bill. Overall pretty underwhelming and don’t see the appeal. This was a very nice getaway. I wanted peace and quiet and this hotel definitely provided that. The rooms were very spacious, peaceful, and quiet. The view from my room was absolutely everything. There are many amenities to use, including the spa. The staff was very warm and inviting. The pool area was definitely my favorite.

I was charged for a purchase I expected the credit to cover. When I followed up, I was told the credit is only available on the checkout date because it generates alongside the resort fee. I don’t know how well they are trained, anyway, it was frustrating to be treated as if I were being untruthful when I was simply stating the fact that I wasn't informed. The staff was excellent. Kim at the front desk was especially helpful. Elvis the bellman was great. All the restaurant staff helped me have delicious vegan meals. Beautiful room and view. Unfortunately some of my family in some rooms had water problems. Showers cut off or trickled or there was no water. But it was fixed.

Unfortunately it’s too cold to use the pool but the facilities were very clean , smelled good , room clean and room service was very nice and friendly and room service good, we did have food left in the fridge when we got to the room but I told the front desk and they took our parking fee off.

Heater in room was not working and faucet on tub feel off while trying to take a shower. Although we still enjoyed our stay as it was close to everything we need to see.

Very nice place to stay! Me and my husband used it as a getaway for our honey moon!! Most of the staff members are very nice and gentle. And we had a great experience! I would have live the bar at the adults pool was open more times, since we didn’t get to enjoy it, but everything else very nice! Thanks for having us!

For the amount of money you spend and it’s supposed to be a RELAXING resort it ridiculous to have spiders webs all over the place. HUGE ant infestation by the pool, my foot was covered in them.

The rooms seemed overpriced for the conditions they were in. If it wasn't for the spa experience, our overall experience would have been below expectations.

The property was clean. Easy to walk to everything. Food delicious. When we check out, we had to discuss the issue with our bed. This was a nice getaway. Everyone needs to try this place. Peace and quiet. You can hear the water hitting the rocks. We love the spa. The only thing we needed was the pool bar to be open.

Amenities, staff and view were great! Rooms and balcony are showing their age and could use some love. Hot water was intermittent.

Dont recommend eating at the restaurant, overpriced and bad quality food. Overlall wouldnt come back for a stay.

My boyfriend brought me this resort for a quick weekend get away. The whole experience was beautiful. My only complaint was the hallway and the room had an old musty smell. It wasn’t terrible and the wildlife outside our balcony made up for it. The view was exactly what we both needed. We will definitely visit again. All 5 stars

Staff were A+ all around. Adult pool was great- but many people left and their towels weren’t collected/returned so others had nowhere to sit due to “reserved” chairs. The room- BAD: lotion too empty to work, hair dryer auto’s between hot and cold, the carpets are COVERED in stains, I wore shoes the whole time but in bed, TV remote didn’t control the guide or work mostly, guests on bar balcony (one floor down below my window) allowed loud until at least 12:30

Other than the lakefront location, nothing great about this hotel. Rooms are very ordinary - nothing fancy. It is soooo soooo far from Austin airport though. Might've reached faster by from California. J/K

Beautiful outdoor facilities. Loved the pool area. Normal rooms and very comfortable. Balcony was private with great views. The indoor bar was very nice, and bartender was super friendly. Restaurant onsite was really good and easy to get a reservation to. Check out host was very nice and explained everything well. Not enough bartending staff at outdoor pool area during the time we were there. Unable to get a reservation at the spa and were not friendly or attempt to suggest alternative options. Plus, could not book spa reservation online. Check-in host was not very informative and hard to understand.

We went on a weekend. Property was quiet & not a lot of people. We joked about hotel being haunted , we never saw any guest in the halls. If you are looking for a peaceful weekend, this is the place. It’s definitely not a party place. Marina is conveniently nearby. Hotel bar & restaurant close early. We had to drive 20-30 minutes away to grab dinner. Staff was very helpful.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The bed was extremely comfortable. The convenience of the restaurant was great since there isn’t many dining places close. We enjoyed the adult only area of the pool and hot tub since we were on a weekend getaway. The resort is secluded and very quiet. Such a pretty view of the lake from our room!

Restaurants were not well staffed; lengthy delays for everthing. No water for some of the trip. No notice of the lack of water. Not very accomodating after water went out. Extremely disappointing after the last trip. Will find another hotel for future family trips.

Location is great, that's what you pay for here. Rooms are not good. They're supposed to have some type of air filtration, but our room smelled like mildew. Don’t eat at the restaurant, there are much better restaurants close by for the same price.

Old and dated. Musty, dark, old, and running only because of location. Mold in bathroom, dirty filter in vent, carpet stained. Food below average. Had to shut down all water to hotel because of leak in their old pipes. Water out all evening. Couldn't flush, no showers.

Property is close to family that lives near by. I think the resort is overpriced. Rooms & taxes are already high & then they add nightly parking & a $50 a day resort fee. Although I like staying there I think there are other options to consider.

Showed up Wednesday afternoon. Paid the $50 early check-in fee, got settled in the room and went out exploring around 2pm. Went to the back porch bar. Conflicting info—either closed all day or open 4pm-10pm. We go back to the room and get our swimwear on. We make our way to the pool to take advantage of the Snack Bar. That’s not open either, just one the weekend. You have to contacted the restaurant. We walk to the gate that connects to the restaurant. It’s chained shut. So we have to walk around to the front of the building. We walk in the first door. No signs no nothing to prevent us from walking in. Once we’re inside, dressed in our swimwear, we’re greeted by a very formal private party. We see ourselves out. Lock the door. Put a sign up. SOMETHING. Thursday—the whole reason for the trip is my wife’s birthday. We’re going ziplining(Lake Travis Zipline would 10/10 recommend) and then wanted to get couples massages. Call the spa to make reservation. No answer. We go ziplining and call the spa again. No answer again. So instead of paying $500(after tax and included 20% gratuity) for a couples massage, we go somewhere else and spend $300 with a few extras included instead. 1) the resort overcharges 2) their loss. Only got 1500 characters. Cant even tell you about the birthday cake or lack of $25 credit. AND front desk didn’t even ask how our stay was at checkout. If you don’t go in-season or on the weekend, it’s a ghost town

The place and area were beautiful. The rooms are a little outdated and I did see some undesirable things on my stay there.

My first lake view balcony room had a strange odor and black mold in the bathroom. They kindly switched my room and there were no issues. There are all sorts of “incidental” charges to the room that are not explained in full upon arrival…$50 night plus taxes, $10 parking per night, all food and beverage, plus a daily “hold” even though I paid the room in advance in full. I would have been nice if there was a way to view daily charges on the in-room tv or hotel website with a “guest portal”! The in-room tv did not have any streaming movie channels and no guide to show you what is playing. There were 2 bottles of water in the room and an Expresso only machine. No plastic or glass cups. Overall, the $50 day pass or daily cabana is all you need to enjoy this resort & spa.

Love this place! This last visit was a little disappointing due to lack of service, but still fun with the family. We had a beautiful view and our son enjoyed the activities.

Was a pretty hotel with nice view. However they are listed as a resort and charge resort fees but did not give resort hospitality and vibe.

Hotel has really gone down. We used to stay here every year. Pool tiles falling off, torn lounge chairs etc. service is sub par - poolside bar staff don’t clean up around the pool deck… cups and leftover food. Bees swarming trying to get into the sugary drinks. Still a great view but needs a refresh, maintenance, and larger more capable service staff. Also the bathroom still has outdated shower curtain that smells of mildew.

When we first arrived, the sheets in our room had stains. I brought this to the front desk, and while housekeeping changed them the following day, it was not a great first impression. Over the course of our two-night stay, we encountered two flying bugs inside the room. On our first night, we went to the pool around 9:40 PM (with closing time at 10). When we left just after 10, the gate had already been locked with a chain. I was stuck inside, and despite calling guest services several times, no one answered. It took about 20 minutes before someone finally came to unlock it. This was stressful and very concerning. While the staff we did interact with were kind and professional, these issues combined made my stay far less enjoyable than anticipated. Given the circumstances, I feel the overall experience did not meet the standards of your resort.

Beautiful resort, beautiful views, tasty food at the Back Porch bar. Worn and cracked areas on the leather(?) headboard and the balcony has seen better days. There was a pretty big damp area on the carpet that wasn't anywhere near the bathroom or any water sources. It was surprising to find that most of the amenities closed pretty early for a weekend... I thought that was the point of a resort, to have a good time around the clock, but the pool closed at 10 and the restaurant and bar closed at 11 on a weekend? Weird.

Checked in is at 4. Pool bar closed at 6 and restaurant closed at 10 and they didn’t have any massage appointments available and I never received my free bottle of wine. The pool was a little scummy. The room and beds were comfortable and clean. The view was amazing. Definitely need more than one day to enjoy but kind of pricey.

Lakeway Resort was a beautiful resort with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Shout out to Elvis and Brittany. Our room was spacious and the bed so comfortable and the view from our balcony was gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed the adult pool area and swim up bar. We will be back to enjoy this resort again.

The pool and hot tub were cool staff was weird except Anthony & the security lady who seemed more knowledgeable about the property than the actual employees the manager did attempt to address my concerns like no real cable tv (only 8 channels worked), poor staff communication,available amenities, fees etc. it’s seriously overpriced to be called a resort they provided no shower robes, no breakfast & bottled water is the one thing I refused to get extorted on I’ll change my review if I welcomed back at their expense for a 2nd try this visit was more like a $300+ getaway not what we actually spent not worth returning honestly

We love the infinity pool overlooking Lake Travis. We also love the covered balconies overlooking the lake. The PURE rooms are a wonderfully clean options for those with health needs. An air purifier is running in the room and a purifying water filter is on the shower for a clean chlorine free shower. Staff is always kind and willing to help. Great getaway for couples or families with separate pool areas so everyone enjoys their pool time. Lakeway Marina is near the resort and great for renting boats, jet skis and other water toys for a fun time on the lake.

Everything was great. The staff made everything smooth. I’ll definitely be back.

Brittany took excellent care of us. Our phone wasn’t working and we wanted to order room service and she took care of everything. We loved the view from our balcony. The pool was great and so was the swim up bar. We can’t wait to come back.

The room had a strong smell of humidity, and basic cleanliness was lacking, there was hair in the sink and the tub, and our balcony was dirty. The pool area was disappointing, with chipped tiles, and even the pool floor looked neglected and in need of maintenance. While our stay happened to coincide with the July 4th flooding, which was out of their control, I felt the resort could have done more to make guests comfortable and supported during that disruption. This property has a lot of potential due to its setting, but it seriously needs better upkeep, cleanliness, and guest care. Not a terrible stay, but not worth the price in its current condition.

Pools were unusable. One of them is a volleyball court so you can’t enjoy it. The other is a 3ft deep kiddies pool with a slide, and the adult only pool was full to capacity with loud drunk people and a DJ playing super loud techno. I was looking forward to a relaxing time by the pool, but unfortunately decided to stay in the room instead.

In general, I like the stay in Lakeway, but for the price some amenities looks too old like the bathroom and I was very disappointed with the front desk service, they should be more friendly with the customers. Room was very clean.

Check in was bad — facilities, resort fee, etc. were not explained; just given the keys and wished a good stay. Had to go back and ask a bunch of questions of another staff member. Check out was also a hassle — we were not credited the allowed food and beverage included in the resort fee. Other than that, all other staff were very kind and accommodating. The food was good, the service was slow. The pools and view were great. Definitely recommend getting a cabana.

It is a lovely property with amazing views of the lake. Nice pools with adults and kids. Staff was very nice, especially the Balkan crew in the bar. There was a little issue with payment processing between Expedia and the hotel systems but the staff was patient and solved it. We had a great time.

The property itself was beautiful even the drive up was great! A hidden gem. Check in should of been easy but apparently my reservation was not received..yet I was sent a receipt/confirmation number the day before.I tried calling before hand to confirm reservation but phone call wouldn’t go through, I used the number on their site. Front desk did help us find a room but I had to pay up front when I had already planned everything through Expedia, very frustrating. They blamed everything on IT issues. Now I have to worry about 2 charges. Hoping to get it resolved. Such a great place just be careful with your reservations!

The dining was hit or miss. The pizza tasted like ketchup on a cracker with cheese, but the fish was excellent.

The people were welcoming, the pool was salt water except for the hot tub, the shower had a shower filter and our room was cleaned with natural ingredients so my husband and I did not have allergies. The one thing that was an important part of our stay is that our room air conditioning would not go below 72. We did not notice unfortunately until we woke up sweating. They did offer to have an engineer but we were checking out later that morning. It was too late to fix anything. Beautiful facility. If you want the pool side bar open, probably go Friday thru Saturday. The pool side bar was closed when we stayed Sunday to Monday. Also, I was hoping for a sauna in the fitness room. Perhaps that would be a nice addition for the future? Overall decent stay.

Kim and Elvis were hands down two of the best staff. However, this place is old, smells, carpet stained and filthy, air condition not blowing cold. The pool was always filled and we could never find a place to just lay out and enjoy our getaway. Food was ok. Nothing to brag about. I was very disappointed at the amount of money we spent for this place. We planned last minute for a birthday getaway. This place needs a major upgrade.

The property could use some upgrades. Toilets are outdated and need renovation. Carpets, walls and ceiling has spider webs. Bathroom door jams. Small fridge has ice buildups and not cooling well. Ac vents are dirty. No strict control of the adult area. Kids were in the hot top and adult pool. People bringing inTheir own loud speaker to the pool. Reserved a room wih balcony but at arrival it was not available even though the lady at check in was very friendly and respectful that she made payment adjustment.

This was a good stay for 2 nights. We found the area quiet and relaxing. Our girls enjoyed the pool for the most part. Most of the staff were friendly and willing to help. The lobby and everything felt very nice and clean, but our room didn’t. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, the bathroom was dated and the tub held water. The kid zone was a major let down. It was filthy and most of the games didn’t work. Overall it was a nice stay, but it definitely could be updated.

Views are amazing. Pool area is uniquely designed. Staff is very friendly and some had worked for the resort for many years, which speaks well of management’s dedication to them. Very unique experience. WiFi speed was challenging was my only issue.

To start with the positives, the common areas were well-maintained. The pool was very nice, the view was beautiful, and the grounds overall gave a good first impression. However, that impression quickly faded once I got to the room. I booked a junior suite, expecting something exceptional given the name and the amount I paid. Unfortunately, it was far from amazing. The room felt outdated and underwhelming—nothing more than average. The carpet was stained, the smell was unpleasant, and it gave the clear impression that the hotel hasn’t been refreshed in years. It definitely did not reflect what a suite should be. The dining experience was also disappointing. Breakfast included an omelette that was poorly cooked, and lunch was no better—my $65 steak was served cold and lacked both flavor and quality. The food throughout was consistently overpriced for what was actually delivered. While the hotel’s setting and amenities had potential, everything else—from the room to the food to the service—felt stuck in the past. It’s evident that major renovations are needed. Overall, it wasn’t the worst experience I’ve had, but it certainly wasn’t worth the cost, I wouldnt rate more than 3 stars, I won’t be returning unless serious improvements are made.
