The lobby with its refreshing fragrance,and the bath items. Lack of customer curtsey at the reception, the room was not the same as shared on the reservation and view was partially hidden behind another building along with dirty windows, no snacks as shown in the reservation photo, and finally it was noisy during the weekend. The parking on the roof top with elevator for me with a toddler and stroller was not practical either!

A cute hotel, very clean, but it was pretty loud if you face the highway. Additionally, there were people talking loudly in the hallway all through the night. I think it’s more of a party hotel so folks are coming and going at all hours. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay with early nights and time by the pool, perhaps look elsewhere. Otherwise, a cute hotel, very clean, and a lovely little pool with umbrellas and fans making it a perfect afternoon spot! The coffee shop was also very good and had other amenities you might want through the day like snacks and drinks. The baristas were all very nice.

Our room didn’t have a TV remote. When I went down to the front office I was informed that it was electrical and the only option at that point was being told to move to another room. At that point my wife was already in bed and it would have been a hassle to move. We also found stains that were on our towels (looked like fecal wipes) and asked for new towels but never got them.

Changed the thermostat to cool down the room, but it really felt the same no matter what degree I set it at. Upon going into the room after check-in, there was a full cup of what looked like a mimosa on the sink. That just gave us an uncomfortable feeling. Then the next morning around 830am, someone tried to come into our room! The door opened! Thankfully I had the top extra lock on cause they ran off right away when I yelled someone is in here. I am hoping it was just cleaning staff getting confused but c'mon. For 300 bucks to stay one night (not including $65 parking but i knew that) I would not stay again.

We love to stay at Downright in Austin. We love everything about this hotel. The gentleman that checked us in was very professional, kind and informative. The bar staff, Harrison and Maren, were exceptional, helpful with food recommendations and made us feel comfortable and welcome.

This Hotel has a unique flare about it. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

When we arrived at our room and opened the door we were greeted by an sweet cocker spaniel and a confused man who, rightly, wondered why we were opening his door. I short trip back to front desk was all it took for us to be reassigned to an unnocupied room. There will always be mistakes, if they are corrected quickly and effectively, then they are no more than minor inconveniences.

It was beautiful! The beds were so comfy and this was such a cute hotel. The shower didn’t get super hot and the water pressure wasn’t great.

The building is a little old. It’s not physically pretty outside but inside its a beauty. The rooms aren’t as big as in the picture and they look a little older not everyone will have the view that is on Expedia, but we did get a pretty room with the capital view and the staff was exceptional.

The cafe downstairs was great! And the atmosphere was cool and relaxing!

Staff was really nice even when they did not gave our room on time, they were dilligent and even gave us a complimentary drink

Room was clean and bed/pillows were exceptionally comfortable. We had some issues with noise passing through the door and noise from the nearby highway was heard at times interrupting sleep. The check in was easy and the front desk assistant Jarrod King was a pleasure to work with and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the coffee bar in the morning, but hope to stay again to experience a full breakfast. 5 out of 5 experience, will stay again.

Our 2 night stay was amazing the check in process was so easy as well as having the rooms very clean. The hotel is very much for the girls , PINK! How cute but the light is very dim in the rooms , the pool is very disco 80’s!. Overall we enjoyed our stay because it was in the middle of everything. Bars , restaurants, activities.

Isaac was so sweet and amazing! He was very informative, clear and thorough with everything. The hotel itself is super clean with beautiful views. Will definitely be returning.

Amazingly vintage yet modern experience. Reminded me of home (Los Angeles). Room service was very quick and responsive while the front desk staff was extremely helpful and timely. Would 100% recommend to Poole visiting downtown Austin.

Restaraunt was very good, the staff were very friendly. The Wi-Fi was very slow and dropped constantly. My VPN repeatedly warned me about an unstable or suspicious network.

Housekeeping doesn’t come unless asked. They only came once during our 5-night stay (only after I asked them to) and did a poor job. One member of the front desk staff was also very rude to me (the rest were very kind). The bathroom light didn’t work. The sheets and duvet were too thin for my liking. On the positive side, the room was very spacious, the location was pretty good, and we had a wonderful view

The entry of the Hotel smelled so amazing and the color theme of the Downright was so beautiful. My girlfriend was so in awe. The room was giving a retro 60/70's vibe which we all loved. Definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in and will be booking again!

We love the vintage/retro vibe the most! The housekeeping is on point, our room was always perfect when returning. The cost of parking. Parking lot trash was full the entire stay.

The facilities offered at the hotel were lovely, especially the heated pool and gym! It was the perfect stay for a girl's trip, within range of most things we wanted to do in Austin. The staff were very helpful and friendly; I also enjoyed the convenience of MorningBird (coffee/ snacks) in the lobby. Everything felt perfect until the last day when the temperatures dropped. I was wondering why I was coughing and sneezing more when I realized that the windows were leaking water all around the edges. Two windows were covering two walls of the room, one of them facing the TV & other electronic appliances. Seems like a health/safety hazard as this wet the walls, carpet and anything basically below or around the area.

Rooms were cute but air conditioning is not very cold. It was very humid in our room on the 12th floor. I did not see anything about how much parking was, and it’s ridiculous. Also, a lot of the finishes are worn, paint is chipped and carpet looks dirty.

Customer service was outstanding on a busy football weekend, rooms are comfortable, and the restaurant and bar was great fun atmosphere, good food and great drinks! Great location to the Stadium! We will be back.

It's a beautifully decorated hotel. Lighting around the sink area in the room is very poor for makeup and hair preparedness. I was bummed that the pool was closed for use and not disclosed while booking.

First night remote was broken. Then the toilet would not flush. Then dirty water rose up in my sink and was unusable. Engineering was not able to fix so I could not use my sink. They gave me a lousy 5k marriott points for having disgusting water filled in my sink. Avoid this hotel its a dump

Very clean room and very courteous and responsive staff. They have revived this lovely iconic hotel in a fresh and fun way. It has such good bones. There is still a need for maintenance and updating. But overall, it is a very comfortable stay, well-located, and good value.

Room was fine but outside noise was unpleasant. There was a nearby bar with live music that was miserable in the afternoon and late into the night. Staff was pleasant and helpful. However the hotel amenities were average. The pool was very cloudy and not the cleanest. Food and drinks at the bars were expensive. Also, a long walk to downtown attractions and the Moody Center.

This is only a personal note I didn’t like the color choose for the hotel . Pink is the color of calming and support which is great, but it also reminds me of the colors that they put in hospitals which I think that’s a good place for them. I think the entrance is the first place you see that should be bold and fun and alive The whole area in front of the elevators could have a great sitting area with couches and tables where people can have coffee and newspapers meet Talk. It just seems like it was very empty. But your staff was great put together and looked fabulous and was fabulous And the rooms were clean Thank you Renee

Everything went well with our stay. We took advantage of the morning grab-and-go options at Morningbird. Room with corner view of the city was nice. The hotel was not as central as others to restaurants and, while we walked to go out in the evening, we took Ubers back to the hotel later at night. This was something we knew as we were looking to be walking distance to Waterloo Park for the busses on F1 weekend. This was a superb location for that. We would recommend and we would come back.

We had the best stay ever at the Downright!! All the staff was super accomidating and all of the common areas and room were very clean. Harrison and Marren at the swim club especially were great and super friendly/helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting the area!

Fun hotel, love the pool area. Caesar at concierge was amazing. Good food options, reasonably priced. Front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. Terrace and swim club bars supposed to both be open at 11. Neither have staff, bar tender ignored me 3-4 times before finally acknowledging I was waiting. ?short staffed vs not friendly.

Heard noise from the freeway all night. Took hours to get housekeeping to bring more hangers. Room was 55 *, engineer never came to look at temperature control. Room was dirty in corners, no place to put clothes. Checked out after one night. Don’t recommend.

I liked the swimming pool

Our 5 day stay was excellent. People were genuinely friendly and helpful. General manger stopped by while we were eating breakfast and corrected a minor issue immediately. The two front desk gentlemen were great. Very helpful with great attitudes. Would stay there again

The room was too warm. We tried to adjust the thermostat but it never cooled off. The window shade was broken and would not go up more than two inches from the bottom. There are very few lights in the room so our room was very dark since we couldn’t open the shade. We were given a handicapped room which we did not request. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. One of the beds was against a wall which made sleeping uncomfortable. When our room was cleaned they did not replace toilet paper (We almost ran out.) nor replace dirty towels we left on the floor. We had to call to get more.

As always the hotel, hotel staff and room was excellent….. Can’t wait for our next visit…..

Hotel was clean and quiet and in walking distance to the moody center. Definitely recommend if you are going to stay overnight for an event or concert

The entire stay was awesome. Its location is near everything I had planned. The bar always has great drinks and food options. The pool was awesome for a night time dip. All in all, a great place for solo or group trips. Highly recommend!!

this was the cutest hotel ever located perfectly! the valet and the servers at the pool were lovely, many members of the fronk desk team were rude and had an insane attitude. but that won’t keep me from coming back

when I made my reservation in the app I pay the parking, and when I arrive to the Hotel they told me that the Parking is under different management so I have to pay it again

This hotel has a retro vibe but that we really enjoyed, maybe it is dated but they lean into it in a really fun way. Food was great and all the staff were friendly. Walking distance to 6th st which was our destination. Was very happy with our stay

I really appreciated that they had their own parking garage to make parking simple. The swim club and the pool was a lot of fun as well. Lots of good food nearby.

Nice place, they have events there and it would better if it was communicated in the hotel some areas are not available.

The only thing I think the hotel could improve on is having firmer pillows. Otherwise everything was great, the atmosphere, and all the dining options. The gym was clean and well maintained. The rooms were clean. It’s a place that encourages guests to relax and have fun. Also really disappointed I didn’t try the food there until my last day. They are amazing! The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating

The stay was okay, I was woken up at 5:00am to a smoke alarm running out of battery and it took till 8 am to fix along with the shower losing all water pressure when the sink was in use.

El hotel es bonito y tiene un restaurante muy bonito también, especial para cualquiera que guste tomar fotos a los lugares que va. Las habitaciones son amplias y la decoración es muy vintage y agradable. El personal del lobby muy amable. Lo único fue que pedí un espejo “make up mirror” y nunca lo enviaron a mi habitación. Pero en general mi experiencia fue buena.

Stay was excellent

There was black mold on our shower curtain and also in the ice. Very disgusting and disappointing.

This hotel provides the basics and nothing more. Check in was quick and easy but the clerk failed to provide our breakfast passes. The room was neat and clean and the bed was comfy but it had the bare minimum. The refrigerator did not fit a to go container, there was not a safe or an iron and the steamer that was provided was full of mold. The lighting in the vanity/sink area was very poor for hair styling/make up application. Parking was pricey but it seems that is pretty typical of the Austin area. Overall it was a clean, safe, comfortable place to stay for the price point.

Parking fee seemed very steep. Hotel should consider upgrading its in room coffee machine and coffee. Hamilton Beach anything screams poor quality. It didn’t taste good either.

Air conditioning didn’t get as cold as I would’ve liked. But understandable given the extreme heat during the visit. And being next to the highway leads to some very loud nights.

We loved the area it is in. Very walkable to everything we wanted to see in our very short 3 day trip. The Moody Centre was just a few blocks away. The Texas State Capital building was so beautifully taken care of and the staff were so helpful and kind. We loved the architecture in Austin and we watched for the 1.5million bats on the bridge with loads of wonderful people (didnt see that many though but it was pretty cool to read about them). Went to the Mothership which I learned the proceeds after paying the comedians and musicians and staff, go to the Humane Society (that is awesome) . People were so lovely everywhere we went. The Downright Austin pool is lovely and Lacey (our server at the pool ) was fabulous! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Food selection is very limited on property we were there for a rugby tournament so going out wasn’t an option secondly as a handicapped disabled veteran the cost of parking is $60.00 the valet said the handicapped parking is only accessible by using valet service so it cost another $60.00 for parking or I could have self parked for $50.00 but wouldn’t be able to use the handicapped parking.
