The room was clean and quiet. Maybe being on the 31st floor made the difference. Having a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop on site was very convenient.

Note that this hotel is right next to and in the same building as their sister property (element Hotel which seems like a slightly lower grade hotel). Same entry way for both hotels but check in desks are on different floors. Cons were that valet parking was $65 per night with in and out privileges. Public parking across the street is about $35 but no in and out privileges. Also the first night we stayed, out toilet clogged but handyman cam within 15 minutes. Also no swimming pool. We would definitely stay here again!

I was able to get an early check in on Saturday and a late check out. Staff was amazing and took was good!!!

The staff was uniformly excellent; the valet, the front desk, the people working the bar. Room was nice. Slight wear and tear but overall very clean. Definitely top of my list of places to stay when I return to Austin.

Cleanliness was extremely poor. From the reception area to the rooms, hallways, and even the elevators, everything was noticeably dirty. The overall hygiene standards were far below expectations.

The valet was a disappointment. The vagrants were all around the property. Check in were not very friendly. The elevator was messy and had an odor. The room was in disarray. Not pet friendly, in the sense of no close proximity for pets to use the restroom. Do better!

We loved our stay at Aloft downtown Austin. Staff (Margarett at front desk) was amazing. She helped us get an amazing room 30th floor with view and made a list of attractions for us to see. She was delightful. Everything was in close proximity. paddle boarding, shops, restaurants and downstairs breakfast at the bakery and restaurant Caroline. table available for work and microwave and coffee available through conjoined hotel. I would def stay here again. Only downside was the pricey valet and overnight fee of $65 per night. So Margaratt helped us locate nearby alternative.

Hotel was solid. Great location with friendly staff. Issue is with the final bill. I have been attempting to get a copy of the final bill but the hotel, to date, has been unresponsive. In reading other reviews on various platforms, other travelers have had the same issue.

The elevators were somewhat a problem as I would say 3 of 5 would be working at a given time.

My wife and I stayed here for Mother’s Day weekend. It was perfect for us and close to . I highly recommend it.

This hotel has good intentions but the staff has issues. I asked for the smallest things and they couldn’t get them right - for instance our tiny bottle of body lotion wasn’t replenished. I asked for 2 bottles to be sent up to my room with some towels. The towels showed, no lotion. So I asked again in the morning, along with another plastic bag for laundry…45 min later I got 3 bottles of hair conditioner and a roll of plastic garbage bags. The elevators take forever and are always full, and twice giant trash bins were on with me. They should’ve been in service elevators. And the valet- nice guys but totally overwhelmed. Took 45 min- 1 hour to get our car even when we called ahead to ask for it. At $65 a day we expected better. The management is very apologetic but come on Aloft/Marriott Corp you should do better!

Ideal location with a very pleasant front desk staff. I really appreciated the sound machine to help with falling asleep. Not much, perhaps a more extensive fitness room. I paid a day to use Gold's Gym right around the corner.

Location is great. Having the check in desk next to the very loud bar area is frustrating. Really hard to hear and have a conversation. Rooms are fine. We booked and paid extra for a city view and got a room looking straight into a bunch of other rooms and a little city on the side.

Awesome location on Congress with wonderful amenities! The only downside was street noise in the form of muscle cars revving up outside, noticeable even on the 25th floor. However, the room was furnished with a white noise machine that blocked most of it out at night. The corner room has amazing views!

I could not check in the hotel because of a technical issue in the hotel system with booking.com Although I booked thru booking.com and had payment confirmation and email, the hotel system had an error or the request from booking.com had an error, and so I had to find another hotel! Being a bonvoy gold member, this is by far the worst experience with any of my hotel stays. Complete waste of 2 hours because of a technical issue I didn’t have any control over, and the receptionist didn’t know what to do, so she just asked me to leave!

I had a great stay at Aloft Downtown Austin. Maria at check-in was fantastic—friendly, efficient, and made the whole arrival process smooth and welcoming. The hotel has a nice bar with a great atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The rooms were comfortable and well-kept, and the location couldn’t be better—right in the center of everything downtown. I’d definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a fantastic location to everything. It is quite loud around and inside the hotel, so it’s probably not for you if you’re looking for a good night of rest. The rooms are tiny, but sufficient. The rooms and hallways of the hotel seem a bit grungy.

We liked that there was a bar and a restaurant There was a lot of homeless people around and approaching. Yelled nonsense at us and it didn’t feel safe. The room was small and not the cleanest.

The shower had little water coming out. The blow dryer was not good.

Not much at all to not like. If I had to pick anything, it would probably be the temperature of room. I had the air all the way down on 65, but it never seemed to reach that temp, and woke up hot both mornings. Might just be a me thing, as I sleep with the air very cold at home. Not taking away from the rating for that though.

Hotel was nice, clean and in a central location to a lot of entertainment options. The draw back is that they claim to be “pet friendly” but you can’t leave your pet in your room unattended at all. If you have plans to attend a concert or a show of any kind or a fine dining establishment I guess they expect you to take your pet with you everywhere you go. If your pet makes any noice they are going to call you and you will have 30 minutes to get back to the hotel. Even after they call you will get a follow up email

Upon checkin, Margaret was pleasant and very helpful. We appreciated being upgraded to a higher floor, 32!! The view was amazing!! Room was clean and very comfortable after an evening out on the town. We will be back! Parking was a little expensive and kind of a shock at check out.

I arrived early for check-in after a really difficult drive and fully expected to need to wait, but the receptionist let me check in because my room was available and to be honest it was a game changer for my entire trip to be able to relax a little before the Austin marathon the next day

The room was too congested, front desk was not helpful and did not tell me the charge they were going to put on my credit card. The only thing I enjoyed was the valet parking attendant.

Having a bar, restaurant and coffee shop all on site made the experience so easy and enjoyable. On days when I just wanted to rest and recharge, I didn’t feel pressured to go out, everything I needed was right there. The hotel felt modern, cozy, and safe, and it was the perfect balance between being able to explore downtown Austin and having a comfortable place to wind down. Overall, it was exactly what I needed for a short reset trip.

On top of all that it’s just a few minutes walk to get to all the live music venues and right around the corner from the Driskill hotel- lovely for a visit but would rather stay at the Aloft - we will be back , often !

The walls are so thin that you can hear someone cough, laugh, snore and all sounds from the rooms besides you. I noticed this at another Aloft brand as well.

solo weekend in Austin and Aloft was definitely the right decision! Location is perfect, walking distance to everything in downtown. Couple blocks from capital. Staff was great! I had a small hiccup in my room and they fixed it so fast while I was out to dinner! Very much appreciated!

I had a nice stay here and hit Caroline's, too. They have this ambient noise device in my room that blocks out noise from the busy streets downtown. Really brilliant. City view was cool. Service was solid.

I loved this hotel! The Dry Bar shampoo and conditioner was such a nice touch. The bed and pillows were heavenly. Yes, there’s noise from the bar area but I didn’t mind it and it cut out after 10:30p. Right at the corner of Congress and 7th was a perfect location. I could walk straight up to SoCo in 25 mins, get to 6th in a minute if needed, and easily grab a car anywhere around town. Can’t wait to come back!

The hotel was amazing. I have never stayed in a hotel that accommodated me and my large family as well as the staff at Aloft Downtown Austin. This was a cool trip and a comfortable stay.

Aloft Downtown was excellent in all aspects. Our room was clean, roomy, the city view was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We were given a one bed room on accident upon arrival and immediately was switched to our 2 queen bed room with 2 vouchers for $10 off of food/drink. ($20 total)

Amazing place very well self-contained resort with multiple pools and a lazy river. Very family oriented has its own theater. You can rent for your family and game room.

Bathroom area not truly separate from rest of the guest room- so easy to wake others in your group. AC either too cold or too hot.

I didn’t like that I was told I would only be charged around 40-50/night for the valet yet I got charged like 65.00.

It’s a very nice property very very nice rooms. But I will say that the walls seem very thin because I kept hearing cleaning ladies talking and laughing throughout the whole morning, which disturbed my sleep. Also, I liked how there was a bar on the second floor and also a coffee shop on the very first floor. On our last day, we had Wilson help us take our luggage down to the main floor so we could check out. He was very helpful and ask for him if you need any help with luggage.

The food was excellent. The room was nice and clean. However, there are no handrails to hold on to in the shower and the floor of the shower was very slippery. Not convenient for those of us with neuropathies. In addition, the shower door did not close properly, leading to water leaking out onto the tile floor of the rest of the bathroom.

The hotel was in nice condition and the rooms were aesthetically appealing as well as clean. The hotel attendants were fairly friendly and the valets were helpful and attentive.

The price of the parking is insane, was like paying one more night in the hotel.

Hotel was nice. Restaurants and bars in the hotel were convenient if a little pricey. Rooms were a little small but configured good with storage and dresser space. Shower door leaked a little and wish there was more towels. Otherwise pretty nice for the money.

Love the the room on a corner with awesome views and hotel it’s nicely located in downtown.

Terrible customer service

Wonderful experience in downtown Austin. The hotel restaurants, bars, and coffee shop were on point.

After traveling for such a long time we decided to take a shower upon arrival! Before we left for the night I stopped by the front desk and asked for clean linen so we could take a shower once we returned! Headed over to 6th street and returned after almost 5 hours and still didn’t have clean towels. Went back down to the desk and the person I spoke with said they’ll have it right up. We stayed up waiting another hour and clean towels never made it so we had to uncomfortable take a shower with no towels and AIR DRY! The next day housekeeping came to the room while we were gone and guess what, STILL DIDNT LEAVE CLEAN TOWELS! We made it back to the hotel at about 6pm that day and had dinner reservations so we really wanted to take a fresh shower. The person at the front desk did make sure we got our towels immediately and I was very grateful! Saturday Morning we go downstairs for breakfast (which was prepaid) they let us know it was a 45 min wait and I was ok with that. We sat outside and waited for our table until it was ready. Once ready we went inside and was seated. After about 10 mins the waitress finally came over and served us water! Didn’t ask if we wanted anything or if we were ok! NOTHING! She walked off and another 15 mins went by and she still didn’t come back! ATP I was really aggravated because now I’ve wasted over 1hour of my time. My husband and I decided it was best if we just leave. WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN!

Hotel was cozy and centralized. Parking options are scarce and overpriced which is expected for downtown but was annoyed more by The Aloft bar on the 2nd floor. I was charged 12$ for the jellyfish IPA while MENU price was 8$. I had quite a few & even though I was overcharged at the time of the bill, I sill tipped.

Love it close to 6th street

Great hotel, with boots you can borrow! Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Caroline’s was great for drinks and pastries/coffee in the morning. We walked several blocks to check in here to stay in town for two more nights after a conference concluded-the price was right here. Close to Sixth St fun and we opted to valet park. Would stay again for sure.

The valet parking was extremely expensive

It was great, the room was exactly how described. Only thing is when we arrived our AC wasn’t working very well, so we had to call the front desk to get a maintenance worker to check it out, and at first he tried to tell us we’d have to just wait for it to kick on fully, but after explaining we had been there for over an hour already, he replaced the AC filter. By the time we got back later that night it felt fine, so I’m not sure if replacing the filter worked, or if maybe we were just not as hot as before. Either way, staff was great.

There was protests going on made it impossible to get to the hotel, had to stop and ask an officer how to get to the entrance with all the closures.

Not the biggest room, but it was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Location was perfect for getting around downtown.

me & my partner did a one night staycation. Location is great , right around the corner from 6th street. Multiple dining options available in and around the hotel itself. Valet was good as well.

Hotel was really nice and clean. Room is on the smaller size but faces the windows which is a plus. Valet is a little expensive at $65! The pillows are a little too bulky for both my husband and I.

The property is conveniently located less than milr from the Capitol. The front desk staff were all so helpful and personable. The valet was professional as well. The only name I remember is Marcus, the bellhop. He was helpful and professional.

Perfect location. Walking distance from tons of restaurants and bars. Was able to check in early with no problems and was even offered a late check out.
