Reviews
The hotel has a beautiful property with many amenities, but the pricing is high and there are issues with cleanliness and maintenance in some rooms. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but there are some instances of poor customer service, particularly at the front desk and in the restaurants.

Nice quick staycation! Fun hotel and great pools for kids!
- 3/5
The rooms need an upgrade and a good cleaning. Not the first time so I felt I needed to leave a comment.
- 3/5
It was a cofusinf sing layout & I worked security which was even more difficult to navigate!
- 5/5
Great rooms with quiet.
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful and activities for grandchildren were wonderful. We loved the entire pool area, slides, lazy river, plenty of seating, and staff were usually readily available when we needed to order something. The rooms and restaurants were great. The only sadness was that several of the restaurants were not open on Sunday night, so we did not get to try all of them as we hoped.
- 5/5
This was one of the most wonderful, beautiful, kind staffed resorts I;ve ever stayed at. Every single person I came in contact with from the front desk, to the restraunt(s) staff, and even the cleaning staff. The Gaylord Rockies is incredibly family friendly. I would recommend this resort to ANYONE!
- 1/5
Staff doesn’t care. They were not helpful or inviting. You are just a number not a guest.
- 4/5
Tons to do, friendly staff and good food, just wish the beds were better.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Great hotel. The room needs some TLC. Been used. Carpets and bedding needs updating. Nice resort we will be back. Amazing staff.
- 5/5
We LOVED our stay here! We’ve been to the Gaylord resort in Orlando, Fl as well and also thought it was exceptional. We would gladly stay here again!
- 5/5
So helpful staff loved the stay
- 5/5
I liked everything. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the fitness center was a plus.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Lots of food options.
- 5/5
Fitness center was awesome along with the waterpark. Plan to do things around the hotel, like cornhole & huge chess!
- 4/5
Everything about our stay was wonderful except for the parking. You have to pay to self park on the there property. 33 dollars and night. To me that is unbelievable and then, when we came back from a trip to a families home, we found many people walking around the parking lot, there was NO security patrolling the parking lot. Other than that the this is a wonderful place and the entire staff we interacted with were absolutely the best.

Family loves it and building interior is second to none. Hope the simple things (maintenance) gets sorted
- 5/5
This resort has so many options for restaurants, bars, pools, indoor/outdoor things to do. Exceptional!
- 5/5
We did not eat at either location
- 5/5
We had a short stay, but the facility was immaculate. Check in was quick. Room was well appointed and clean. The parking is expensive at $33 a day, but our host waived that for us. The restaurants were delicious. We didn’t get to use the pool this trip, but they looked like fun. There were various outdoor sitting areas with outdoor games like corn hole, ping pong etc. beautiful facility.

Very good
- 4/5
Very clean rooms basic room set up nothing to get to excited about other then that resort is great great pools indoor and outdoors only complaint is the sports bar food and service not the best service and by far worse food on the property
- 5/5
I loved the feeling of not having to leave to eat or go do things!! I wish we could have stayed longer and definitely going to plan a return trip!

Love the pool!! We were able to get into our room at 12:30 which was really nice because we were expecting to wait until 4:00. Very nice place and would go again!

Our room was beautiful and very comfortable! The staff could not have been nicer, and the room service we ordered was delicious!
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable. All the staff that I encountered were stellar!

They have the most beautiful views and a wonderful pool and spa.

Stunning views, lovely amenities great variety of restaurants and great staff. Cannot wait for the next stay!
- 5/5
Room was great, ver quiet! Amenities and staff were great! We spend 2 days there and never left, just enjoyed everything they had to offer!
- 4.5/5
Overall, a great place. The food in the restaurants had a lot to be desired. The food in the restaurants, at least the three we visited, was subpar.

Staff and cleanliness of the resort was outstanding
- 5/5
The staff. Rica was Awesome we got an upgrade on our room which made my Daughter 6th birthday even more enjoyable. The only thing i can say is there can be a better kid area in the water park for the little babies
- 4.5/5
This is just a gorgeous hotel, at least the lobby and entry hall. It's majestic. The rooms are huge too, big bathrooms and king beds, super spacious. The staff is also excellent, helps with everything you might need. There was too much venting on the room, but maintenance came immediately and fixed it. The thing that should be more carefully looked at is the food. It was just not good. The "nachos" at the central bar in the entrance hall were oily flaps of fried four, just about inedible. The Caesar salad at Copper Table was just lettuce drenched in ranch dressing. For the prices, you expect good food.
- 4/5
Comfortable room. Pool closed at 9 i felt that was too early. All in all great service and beautiful grounds . We plan on coming back for a longer stay.

We absolutely loved every aspect of this hotel- it had everything we needed. Check in was a delight with Ivana, and everyone was more than happy to help us at any time. The staffing was wonderful. We especially had a great time with Israel at Music Trivia and Jerzey in Bingo:) nothing!

beautiful main area. delicious food. the chocolate chip cookies were amazing!
- 5/5
The location, the amenities and the amount of stuff to do Nothing
- 3/5
Located near the airport but otherwise not close to anything of interest. The room was small but clean. The staff was courteous. Ate at 3 of the 5 restaurants and was disappointed in the food.
- 1/5
It’s beautiful Cher competition going on same time as holiday ice event. Could not get into any of the restaurants 1-2 hours. Noise level in the halls horrible with screaming girls up and down the hallways late at night. Horrible stay
- 3/5
Value is not there nor customer service. It continues to decline every time I go back. Yes it has great amenities especially if you have children.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
We spent Christmas here and had a lovely time. Our room was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
yes
- 4/5
It was really nice but sooo pricey.. it was a shame that the fireplaces weren’t on that would have been nice.. the bed was awesome.. the staff were awesome.. the pillows hurt my head.. there were soo many kids running around it was kind of nerve wracking as we were needing a break from kids! The fact it is in the desert and you can’t walk to shops.. that was a negative.. the train at the airport took forever and we were freezing.. it was a beautiful place though..
- 5/5
LOVE this property!!!
- 5/5
Atmosphere
- 5/5
The Gaylord Rockies was one of the most phenomenal trips that I have ever taken as an adult although it is definitely family oriented. I had a impressive time as a couple. I will definitely return. I love the Gaylord franchise.
- 4/5
Was great except for checkout being a little frustrating with the mistakes but they fixed it quickly. Only thing I will stay for as much as you for the stay and room, I feel they are a tad basic but other than that was pretty fun and a great stay
- 5/5
We had a blast!
- 5/5
Nice facility, fun event, excellent food
- 3/5
Our 3 room trip was booked through hotels.com. Upon check in one of the rooms was cancelled by the Gaylord. I don’t know how to get my money back since I prepaid with hotels.com
- 3/5
Our key didn’t work to the parking gate at all. Rooms are average and all of the shampoo, conditioner & bodywash was all empty when we got there. I wouldn’t ever pay that price to stay there again. Way too many people at pools and hot tubs
- 5/5
Everything about stay was great. Resort was packed but extremely well staffed. Never felt like I had to wait long for anything.
- 5/5
Amazing time. Word can’t describe the fun our kids had.
- 3/5
They gave me a room where all families with kids were staying, with such a large property, they should separated families with kids from those without kids. Children were running on the hallways knocking on doors at 11pm. The hotel doesn't give priority to overnight guests for restaurants, they don't even ask if you are staying and make you wait +1hr to get you a table. I mean, after spending $300 and plus a night you should get priority everywhere.
- 4/5
Housekeepers left cleaning spray and cleaning towel behind on sink counter. The only thing missing is a microwave in the suites. Food amazing! Convenient to the events in the Convention Center. Still believe the cost for the rooms, market place & restaurants are too high for the experience.
- 4/5
We had an amazing time; however it eas challenging to get a reservation and I think 1st priority should go to guests. Secondly, it was very loud at early hours of the morning with little children running about the halls screaming. The heated pool could also be warmer but overall it was a beautiful resort and we enjoyed ourselves.
- 5/5
Great hotel and amenities
- 5/5
Excellent service . The staff very nice
- 4/5
Nice property kid’s friendly
- 5/5
Lovely Christmas atmosphere
- 4/5
We book time entry with the Ice show for 2:45 but we didn’t get in until 4:15 that was a bit much with the little kids
- 1/5
Rude staff
- 3/5
The check in was not
- 5/5
Everything was great with restaurants Only disappointment was you charge a resort fee and we went specifically for the tube riding and you were closed on Monday until 3:00 pm. Seems very unreasonable
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
The only negative I have is that you literally have to pay for everything. Parking, resort fee, all food, all water, and prices are high! Great pool, great staff, very clean.
- 5/5
Wonderful service.
- 3/5
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The lobby bar is quite a striking sight as you enter, with plenty of seating both at the bar and the surrounding spaces. The room was nice. Water pressure was excellent. Coffee maker in the room. Blackout drapes work well. There are several restaurant options on-site, which is nice, but there aren't many healthy options, which was extremely disappointing. If you want/need to avoid seed oils; eat clean meats, organic options, gluten-free items, etc., you're going to struggle to find options. When paying Gaylord prices, including $33/day to park, I expect there to be healthy food options. This was a significant oversight and disappointment for us. There were both indoor and outdoor pools, and a nice gym, but another disappointment for me was the absence of cold plunge tubs and infrared saunas. These are important and inexpensive amenities for health-conscious guests which should be available at a high-end resort like the Gaylord. Charging top dollar, but not providing the value in terms of healthy food items, and amenities for health-conscious guests leaves us feeling like we didn't get the value to justify the cost. Being a pretty hotel only goes so far.

Charlies was outstanding a greeting me with my Marriott platinum recognition,,, that set the tone for a wonderful and enjoyable stay ,, my arrival and check out with him was amazing ..
- 1/5
I’ve been to many many hotels in great and not so great areas but the service here is terrible. Every time you call for a room service for just a simple water or toothpaste, they either fail to deliver or they deliver at least an hour after. It’s terrible
- 5/5
Great stay for my son’s birthday. Copper Table had great dinner & breakfast. Weather was nice & enjoyed the pools and lazy river.
- 5/5

Clean beautiful new and great staff
- 4/5
The TV reception was very poor. Picture would pause or disappear constantly on different chanels. The food at the on property restaurants was very good. There was a nice variety of restaurants to choose. The sports bar was great for weekend football watching.
- 5/5
My family really enjoyed the waterpark
- 4/5
Crowded
- 5/5
wonderful food
- 1/5
The Restaurant staff were very unprofessional. Refuse to serve us over a political conversation that they over heard at our table. Also got a 100$ fee for a dog noise complaint that issued rectified within 10 minutes. Otherwise the property is worth seeing, very state of art!
- 4/5
Rude, unprofessional and not in keeping with the upscale vibe they're going for
- 4/5
Very clean. Diversity of things to do. What I did not like is that I booked 2 rooms with a king bed with mountains view , and when I got there they wanted to give different rooms. Plus we had an incident with the valet parking. They hit the side of our pick up.
- 4/5
Loved it. I just wish parents would parent their children in the pool area. Children shouldn’t be in the hot tub with adults. They need to be slip and sliding down them tubes. When they get older and can’t reproduce any grandchildren you’ll wonder why.
- 3/5
Pools were way over crowded with convention goers and pool area was not staffed adequately. Sports bar service was friendly but food took a long time to come out and was just average. Property is beautiful and would consider coming again not during peak times.
- 3/5
I really liked the area around the building. There’s lots of beautiful walking spaces. The staff is wonderful, patient, and accommodating. The food was delicious, and having direct access to the convention was a lifesaver. There were a few things I didn’t like; for example, only half of our hotel room was cleaned. There was also staining on the box spring, one of the sinks didn’t drain, and our refrigerator didn’t cool well. Parking is also exceedingly difficult. We ended up buying a valet pass, and the staff were very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Big. Kids loved the water park.
- 3/5
The property is beautiful, lots of activities, and family oriented. The room is very small and basic. Parking fee is absurd. We went there mainly for the pool, it was underwhelming. It is a beautiful hotel but not worth $500/night.
- 5/5
The stay was for 4 days and it wasn't enough the place is amazing and I wouldn't mind never leaving the area of the resort for my whole state unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy more than I wanted to but I will be coming back with more the family and doing the same thing all over again,,, BUT!!!!! you need a airport shuttle service PLEASE,,,
- 4/5
Awesome place, very clean!
- 5/5
Pricey food though!
- 2/5
Room was dirty upon checking in- cups left in room from prior guests.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. The staff were very friendly. I noticed that the lifeguards were very good about patrolling and counting how many people were in the water.
- 5/5
Has become our favorite spot to stay when in the Denver area.
- 5/5
Not a cheap stay but worth every penny in the water park alone! Beautiful resort, friendly staff A++
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The property is beautiful with a lot of amenities.
- 4/5
The staff didn't seem very knowledgeable about the DC events and when/where they were happening. The food was good, but we would have appreciated a breakfast waffle offering on one of the restaurant's menus. Housekeeping didn't refresh the room every day, which meant our room was quite dirty and cluttered by the end of our stay. Not much to do in the area around the hotel.
- 5/5
Thanks
- 5/5
Great service nice rooms
- 2/5
Way overpriced for a badic room and no kid friendly food options. Restaurants are way over priced for basic food.
- 2/5
I was really looking forward to my time at the Gaylord as I’ve enjoyed some of their other properties in the past however it seems there was was always something wrong from the get go. Starting with my room. I had reserved two queen bed room. When I got there they said they didn’t have anymore. Which the girl at the desk said was weird and that had never happened before. When we finally did get a room we got settled and went to dinner. We had reservations at Garden and Grain. When we got there it took them a while to seat us despite not many people there. Then after we were seated the place started to fill up. It took 35 minutes just to get drinks and over an hour to get our food after it was ordered. My friend and I watched the manager. As we were once servers and noticed he was running around but not really getting thing accomplished. For instance, we saw our drinks sitting the bar for the whole time but he just moved tickets around instead of actually bringing them to tables. We also noticed multiple tables complaining. The next day we rented a cabana by the pool. It was great until someone pooped in the pool and it had to be evacuated. Needless to say we didn’t go back in. The next morning, I had called the valet from our room because we were in a rush to get to a sports tournament. When we got down there 10 minutes later our car was still not there and we had to wait The next evening we hung at the Embers bar and enjoyed our bar tender DJ. The next day we had no internet
- 5/5
Everything was pretty much perfect except 2 things- 1) We accidentally put our debit card on hold first and the hold didn’t expire until 3 nights later. And 2) The Starbucks inside the hotel served us ice cold pizza but they gave us free cookies to compensate and were very nice about it.
- 5/5
Definitely will go back.
- 1/5
NO internet connection for the duration. TV also offline. Towels were riddled with holes and stains worse than the shroud of Tourin. Expensive mistake and Marriott doesn't give a poop. Stay on Tower Road and get two rooms for less. Less, expence, noise, commotion,
- 4/5
Overall, it’s close to the airport which is nice but the food was pricy and not that good. Drinks were fine. Cool facility though very pretty!
- 5/5
This place is amazing! We loved everything except the front desk help. They seemed too busy to deal with us and very rude both at check out and check in. We had two rooms and everything was wonderful. The wait staff was great and valet staff was top notch! Please train the front desk te to be a little kinder and more welcoming.
- 4/5
Expensive for what you get. Meals on property are expensive. The DC super heroes thing we did was litterally just us doing a mad lib with costumed high school kids.
- 3/5
The food was priced higher and service was sloooow even when we went during a non-busy time. The food was average. Would not plan on returning and spending >$400 per night for the cleanliness of the place. There is just a better way of doing those things and not having to pay a premium for it. Check-in is at 4 and check-out at 12! so not even close to 24 hrs for your booking but we were ready to leave after spending the night at the hotel.
- 5/5
Great place for families.
- 2/5
Meh...dirty room with leftover food rappers next to bunkbeds. Mattress was painfully hard. Shower was broken with curtain 3 inches too short, soaked entire bathroom. This hotel is so overpriced its disgusting!
- 5/5
Excellent overall hotel
- 5/5
We enjoyed being able to walk around and have different entertainment provided in different areas
- 5/5
Beautiful resort!
- 1/5
There was some kind of electrical testing going on over night and it caused some type of horrible noises all night, we didn’t get any sleep and think we should get a refund.
- 5/5
We came for the pool. My girls loved it and the year round heated outdoor pool was unexpextected. Indoor pool was clean and there was enough seating. The snack bar was understaffed but it was a monday. We will be back, a bit pricey, but worth it if you have kids.
- 2/5
Staff not friendly, almost everyone that works in the food service did not trust us. A group of mature teachers. They could get a card on file quick enough.
- 5/5
Paying for parking is insain when u rent a room
- 5/5
Fast check in
- 5/5
Wonderful resort with excellent lazy river
- 5/5
It is a beautiful hotel. We loved having the waterpark and the dining options on property for the first couple of days. However, because of where the hotel is located, it is a bit of a far drive to get to other dining and entertainment options. We stayed five days and by the third day we were definitely ready for other food options. With all that said, the hotel is still an amazing experience.
- 5/5
??!!
- 4/5
Beautiful place.
- 5/5
The place definitely felt like a luxury resort. Very clean and upscale looking rooms and common spaces. Plenty of on property restaurants, and gathering places. Indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, sizeable fitness center, and plenty of (albeit expensive) parking. Paying for self-parking would be my only complaint. It should be free or cheaper. Even with that though, it was definitely a 5-star stay in my book
- 1/5
We were told that our room would not be ready until “maybe 6pm” for our 4pm check in. Totally unacceptable
- 5/5
Best
- 5/5
Wonderful. Beautiful
- 5/5
Glad to be here
- 5/5
Wish there was a microwave in the rooms
- 5/5
Amazing stay!
- 5/5
Loved everything about it! The rooms, staff, valet, the restaurants and the kids loved the indoor water park!
- 4/5
Was acceptable, but I expected more from a 5 star resort. Nice outdoor adult hot tub and the spa is nice.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. The room is quite tight for family of 4. But I like that it is clean and there’s so many activities to do. The staff are helpful and friendly. I would definitely will stay there again and actually encouraged my friends and families to do the same when in Denver.
- 5/5
Enjoying
- 5/5
A must see attraction in Denver! This hotel has the most incredible presentation EVER!
- 5/5
The best of the best outstanding
- 5/5
A great staycation with my family.
- 5/5
Christmas Decorations were festive.
- 3/5
Had fun. Unfortunately I got charged twice for the trip. They claim there was no communication between Gaylord resorts and Orbitz. So they charged my card the full price off the trip even though I already paid Orbitz. I'm still waiting on reimbursement, they claim that they made a mistake.
- 1/5
Our stay was a disaster from the start. The hotel hosted a cheerleading competition along with their holiday festivities. It took close to an hour to get into the hotel because traffic was so backed up. That made us miss all of our reservations so we had to reorganize everything. Our rooms weren’t ready at check in and although we had two reservations together they put us in separate towers until we complained and got moved into the same hallway. We had to move our bags from one room to another and the rooms weren’t clean. Hair in the shower and toothpaste in the sink but we couldn’t make the kids keep moving. The restaurants were packed and we had reservations but again missed them because of traffic. The lobby bar was dirty, staff wasn’t cleaning tables and the cheerleading crowd was rude just taking over tables and chairs and trashing areas. The hotel gave no notice and seemed to care very little about our issues. I would not recommend visiting during the holidays. There are far better places in Denver.
- 5/5
Such an amazing place to be for the holidays, the place was like a winter wonderland. Beautiful decorated trees and beautiful scenic views.
- 5/5
It's festive decorations!
- 3/5
Was very disappointed it was so crowded I can’t believe they would have cheer competition at the same time as the holiday festivals I have been coming to these for years and there have never been so many people obviously a money maker probably will really have to reconsider next year could not get into any restaurants I tried to make reservations several weeks before so sad that it was so busy and overwhelming
- 5/5
The property is gorgeous and the staff is very friendly and accommodating
- 5/5
Over the top AMAZING! Loved every minute here.
- 4/5
Beautiful property, the pool is amazing. I wish they offered robes in the rooms and more restaurant options. Overall great stay
- 5/5
Such a fun stay for everyone.
- 3/5
My son had a nose bleed during the night so we had to call and request the bedding to be changed. They were very nice about it and asked if it was convienient to come in 20-30 min. This was perfect bc we would be at breakfast. Unfortunately, they didn't come for 90 minutes when we returned to the room they had our door wide open without staff anywhere in site. All our stuff was just exposed for who knows how long. Then they just threw a new sheet over the old so when we went to bed that night you could see the blood stain through the sheets still beneath.
- 5/5
Expensive but a great atmosphere!
- 1/5
Gaylord bumped me to an airport hotel 2 days before arrival with no reduction in price. Disgraceful.
- 5/5
Great place, we love it for families. Although, It was better when they had the original lodge layout with pond, etc.
- 5/5
KAITLYN made our stay so special. Can’t thank her enough!!!!!!!
- 4/5
Big place, very cool pools and slides.
- 3/5
Our room had bunkbeds, and behind/under the bunkbeds there was a dirty diaper and a ton of other things that had fallen behind, and the staff couldn't clean it. They changed our room. We wanted the bunks for the kids, but gross!
- 5/5
This property is amazing!
- 5/5
Appeared to be staffed lifgt
- 5/5
The only thing that I didn't realize is you have to pay for parking.
- 3/5
The waterfall by the stairs
- 5/5
Our stay was excellent, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
The checkin was amazing! I was able to get my room early.
- 4/5
The water and hot tub were great. The food and drinks were horrible. Drinks had horrible tastes and hardly any alcohol. For the price you charge for the resort and stay and food from the restaurants, it really should be better quality. I went to celebrate my anniversary with my husband and did not want to leave the resort and by the end I wanted to leave without staying the night.
- 4/5
Too few restaurants for such a big hotel, almost impossible to get a reservation, so for 4 out of 5 days had to uber to restaurants outside of the hotel.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed 7am yoga on the front lawn.
- 5/5
We had a bartender by name of Syria that was rude after one of my daughters ordered a shirley temple which tasted horrible she poured cherry juice not grenadine in the drinks. They were nasty
- 5/5
We absolutely love Gaylord Rockies! It was a last-minute decision to come here since our original plan was to go camping, but we’re so glad we chose this resort instead. There are tons of fun outdoor activities, and the lazy river was definitely a highlight for us. Everything was super clean, and the staff was friendly. We also enjoyed having several delicious restaurants to choose from right on the property. The only downside was that we visited during Labor Day weekend, so it was a bit crowded and pricier than usual, but we still had an amazing time. It’s great that this place is only about 40 minutes from home - we’ll definitely be back!
- 3/5
Shouldn't have to pay for parking. Lazy river fun, but need to get rid of the overhead water that pummels you, it ruins the Zen. All in all, very overpriced
- 5/5
I am already researching a return trip. Stellar staff and amenities. Management and ownership must very superior to provide such a quality product.
- 5/5
Like the facilities overall.

It was ok. Room wasn’t ready until after check in which always seems to be an issue when visiting here. The remodel of the great one is nice but we liked the old one better.

This was our first time here. Our room was upgraded and our parking was waived just because which was a welcome surprise! Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were delicious. The outside grass area and live music as well as fire pits were a treat! More chairs or places to sit would be an improvement. Lazy River was so fun. Seems more tubes are needed. We had lunch and drinks by the pool and loved all the umbrellas so we could stay in the shade. We thought this would be the only time we would visit since we live in town, but we are SOLD and plan to come back again for another weekend getaway...maybe every year!
