I like the friendliness of the staff. The outside seems run out, there was someone always smoking and I hate that smell. The "breakfast " offered was cereal, or breads, nothing special.

How close it was to the hospital AC was left off when we got into the hotel so it was hot and muggy in the room. The AC unit did not stay on till it cooled down it kept turning off.The breakfast was nothing special. $2 for a single water bottle. I’ve stayed in a econo lodge before and this one was different. I did not complain because we were only there to sleep but we had to purchase a fan because it was so hot

It was clean and the staff in the lobby was very friendly and professional. The window and door were very thin and you could hear all the sounds outside the room. There were guests talking, running up and down, motorcycles kept coming and going and cars with loud music. We couldn’t go to sleep until after 2:00 am
- 2.5/5
The shower had amazing water pressure. 50 inch tv. Proximity to hospital. My wife had a surgery, and it was basically across the street. The floors were nasty. I took off my socks because they were completely black on bottom. My bare feet also became completely black. No coffee maker. No drawers for clothes storage. Basically cable television.
- 2.5/5
Staff were very efficient and kind. I was able to get in and out relatively quickly. There seemed to be an issue with the pipes because I would hear water running(presumably someone bathing or flushing the toilet), and then there would be a really high pitch sound that went on for like 3 minutes at a time. It happened 2 times. Not great after a long night of driving, and I assume if you're staying for more than a night and/or the issue happens several times in a day, it would be infuriating. Also, the lighting is VERY bad. Every light fixture is fluorescent, even the bed side lamps. They desperately need warm light bulbs.

The Econolodge was perfect for our needs. My husband had surgery at the Medical Center which was directly across the street. The loacation was perfect...it met our needs for this. It was very clean and comfortable for our needs. The breakfast was just OK. Nothing plush - but perfect for what we needed. I was very disappointed to learn that I could have gotten it a lot cheaper if I had called the Econolodge directly instead of Booking.com. I received NO dicounts from Booking - and I could have gotten a senior discount - plus hospital discount. Will never use Booking again! Called the hotel directly for reservations.

If I had to come up with a constructive criticism it would be the breakfast fare. It did not seem to measure up to the standards of a major hotel brand. Still, this is my home, away from home Every time that I am in Augusta, Georgia.

The hotel was clean and quiet. However, the $100 security deposit is charged to your card ( not a temporary hold). The refund of your security deposit will take up to 15 days give or take to return to your card per staff. So, do not stay here if you cannot afford for your funds to be tied up for that long.

This was a very clean inexpensive hotel. I was happily surprised however they need more work on remodeling the tub/toilet area and get new mattresses, then it will be perfect! While I slept well, the mattress springs clang like tin cans when you moved. If you only need the basics, no frills, clean, good condition, fridge, microwave, cable TV, in-town, GREAT FRIENDLY STAFF, then this is the place!

Called the front desk at 10pm the evening my husband and son were supposed to check in to let them know the flight was delayed due to the Microsoft Outage…was told not to worry and everything was fine….when my husband arrived to the property he was told that the reservation canceled… the room was already paid for on our end. They would not honor the reservation. When Orbitz called the front desk representative lied and said they offered my husband and son a room but they refused it. They resided to refund our money.

Our stay at this place was excellent. We had a great room with a king size bed. The linens were new and fresh. The towels were also very clean and fresh. The lobby area smelled lovely which was awesome. The floors were well maintained and clean. This place is a wonderful place to stay. It was very reasonable and in a perfect place across from the hospital. The staff was friendly and had anything we needed. There was an issue with the hot water and they quickly fixed it for us. We can’t say anything bad about this hotel. No bugs at all!!!

My overall experience here was good. The room was clean, though the floors were very scratched up. The person who checked me in was super friendly and engaging. The only downfall, and no fault to the hotel, is that it's right across from the hospital- so occasional emergency vehicles in the area with their lovely sirens.

What a pleasant surprise! We checked in late, clerk was friendly with quick check-in. We got our room requests honored and our room was as pictured online - swear. Clean, smelled fresh, we did not want to get out the bed and for being so close to University Hospital I only heard 2 ambulances all night. Walls thin, I can overlook the person upstairs showering and the property was super quiet even with the parking lot almost at capacity. Minor detail, I need more than 1 towel for two people but we always bring one of our own just in case. Breakfast small but it was available so we didn't have to go chasing to find Ihop.

The staff was friendly. However the room wasn’t very clean or comfortable. The TV satellite service was out for 1 of the 3 nights we stayed. The hardwood floors were so dirty we had to wear our shoes when inside the room at all times. The floor around the tub looked like someone ripped the trim off from around it and the bathroom door handle kept falling apart upon opening the door. The final night of our stay we were awoken at 5am by the guests to our left with an incredibly loud domestic dispute and screaming for about an hour. That wasn’t uncommon as a lot of the guests hung out on the balconies or parking lot being loud all hours of the night every night as well. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. You definitely get what you pay for in this place.

I had to buy air freshener to try to balance out the strong smell in the room.

I reserved a room near my college, because I needed a place to rest, shower, and change clothes during the day. I did not spend the night. My room was somewhat secluded, which gave me in uncomfortable and unsafe feeling. My room was not unclean. But it was not THAT clean either. There were a few blood droplets on the bathroom floor. The staff was very congenial.

The location was good, the staff was very helpful, but the rooms need total renovations, especially the furniture and the toilet, shower.

This hotel had roaches. The sheets and the room were not cleaned properly and we all had bug bites. This is unacceptable no matter the cost of the stay. I will never stay at an Econo Lodge again, I only stayed here because it was close to the hospital.

Everything in need of repair. Dirty bed spread, floors, bath all nasty. I stay in a lot of econolodge properties and never have high expectations. This was way below anyone's expectations. It's cheap because it's cheap.

After checking in, I went to my room which smelled and felt as if someone was currently smoking in that room. I returned to the desk to ask for a non smoking room and was informed that I was in one already. I had a headache from only 5 min in the room. When I returned to the desk there were two other guests making complaints to the desk that their room was incomplete and still under construction. This was a terrible experience and I would not use hotels.com or econolodge again.

My room was on the 2nd floor and night manager was very helpful and even assisted me with my stuff up to my room. I'm undergoing cancer treatments and my strength and fatigue issues were very apparent to him. I wanted to thank him later but he was already off work.

Overall, it's like going to a fast food restauarant and paying for a $1 burger expecting the quality of one similar to a Ruby Tuesday or something like that. You get what you pay for! Waffles in the morning were the best part.

I had to change my room three times before settling in. Hotel staff was good about it but I was quite frustrated. Would not stay there again.
- 3/5
Well, roaches were in the corners behind the microwave/fridge and Wi-Fi did not work. I don't think i would ever go again but it was not outrageously bad.

I didn't enjoy my stay at the econo inn. The check-in time was delayed, beds outdated and overall room conditions were poor. I actually only stayed about an hour and left.

The room smelt of cigarettes and disappointment. Clothes slept in still smelt of room when unpacked once home.

It would be great if the computer had a printer connected to it.

We had reservations for 2 rooms, they put us on opposite sides of motel. I asked if we could be closer and was rudely told no. The room we were in was dirty and had mildew around the tub. I cancelled the other 4 nights we had reserved and went somewhere else.

I chose this hotel because it's across the street from MCG/GRU and I needed to go for medical testing. My check-in went somewhat okay, the receptionist made wait five minutes before she got off the phone to actually assist me and then when I made a request to be on the first floor, due to not able to walk up and down the stairs, she made a big fuss about it. My stay wasn't comfortable, the queen-sized beds in the room looked like double beds, but the receptionist says they were queen. The WiFi/Internet didn't work properly so I couldn't get any work done. There were people being noisy all night. There were actually people outside with open containers of alcohol, partying outside of the room. I will not chose this hotel again. I'm surprised this place hasn't been raided by the police by all the things I saw and heard while I was there.

A much better stay than I anticipated. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was okay, the usual fare with cereal, make your own waffles, some breads and pastries, etc. Good for the price.

Breakfast was great. Check-in and check-out were easy. But there were three major problems: (1) Roaches in one of the two rooms; (2) Requested non-smoking rooms, but clearly a lot of smoking had been done in both rooms very recently, attempting to be covered over with the smell of disinfectant; and (3) I reserved a room with two queens and was given a room with a king. They blamed it on hotels.com and refused to change our room.

Room reeked of cigarette smoke! Very old hotel. Great location just needs to be updated

Bed was actually pretty good. But everything is really old and outdated. Room smelled of smoke. Toilet hadn't been cleaned. Stayed here for Masters week.

Horrible, everything we complained about the lazy slugs passed the buck.....not my job, the maintenance man leaves at 5, when we complained about the smoke detector hanging out of the wall, and undoubtedly not working, the TV not working etc.

Only issue was I saw one brown cockroach when I got there, didn't see anything else. I would stay there again.

First time staying the staff was nice but hotel needs upgrades and better parking!
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay! The a/c system didn't crank out enough heat like it should have. I wish there would've been better lighting in my room. Other than that, my time there was excellent.

It was very good. My grandson and I had plenty of everything, breakfast, towels, soap etc.

I requested an accessible room and was assigned a room on 2,nd floor near stairs. I was going to try staying. However, when the clerk habded me a room key and I asked about the WIFI access key, I was told it's will not be working this weekend. I have worked in IT. It does not take an entire weekend to correct the problem. If you say free wifi, I expect you to provide what you say. My wife and I both need access so no wifi no deal!

Dirty room/ bathroom. Room was supposedly non-smoking but reeked of long term smoke. Even after trying to air out, leaving bathroom vent on, etc., YUK!!! Informed management, they just said sorry.

The room smelled like smoke, there were two roaches on the bathroom, the remote for the television didn't work, and we were bit by something while sleeping.

The phone keeps ringing like they will not pick up. I think I have lost a phone and set of keys but they are so unprofessional that I cannot get in touch with them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Poor quality through and through. From the room down to customer service. Not to mention the keys stop working often and I was locked it multiple times

I was happy to attempt to write a review but your site kept me from completing. I had most contact with Assimi the general manager. she was most helpful in aswiwting me in several ways. thanks to her.

Clean and comfortable, quite wi-if near shopping and food

The staff was friendly but the rooms were dirty and dated. The bed was ridiculously hard! There were roaches and the bathroom light only worked part of the time but you cant expect too much when you only pay $36 a night

This is a ok hotel but the Baymont lnn on 629 Frontage Rd Augusta GA is the same price and much better hotel .

I am on a really tight budget and was visiting a grad program, this motel was most conveniently located. I didn't find any bed bugs in the room so that was nice and pretty much all I can ask for considering the cost. The a/c was on in the room which we were super thankful for. The staff was friendly, but the office smelled bad. Otherwise it's sketchy, the furniture was moldy and the tv was from 1999 and the walls and ceilings were gross. But beggars can't be choosers I guess so I guess if you're on a pretty tight budget this will do, considering you don't find bed bugs.

This hotel needs updating in the rooms. Large pieces of paint are peeling off the bathroom wall, & the floor did not look clean. Also, there were lots of people milling around the lobby & the breakfast area who did not look like employees or guests.
