The hotel and room were very clean. The room had many places to put bags. The hotel was conveniently located. The breakfast was excellent!

There are trains that run through all night long and woke us up. They offered a white noise machine but none of that made a difference with how loud the trains were. The entire time we were there they also had issues with WiFi and we never had Internet. We let them know and the response was "we have been having problems maybe we need to restart the system." But it was never fixed. Would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone

My boss let my wife come up so there was plenty things for us to do. There’s plenty places to eat. The staff were great just don’t like how you have to go a big loop to get in property parkingfrom one direction.

Loved the staff they were really helped me to keep my ice packs for my lunch bag cold the room is clean toilet was clean. The property was clean and staff were great.

Location No cup in the rooms!!! Was ready for bed and went to take meds and no cups to drink water from apparently management decided not to put cups in the room rooms because of recycle issues. They should issue cups when you check in.

The room was clean and comfortable, The hospitality is always exceptionally wonderful. The breakfast and happy hours are my favorite and I always have close parking. There is an electric charging spot as well which is very convenient.

The biggest concern was accessibility. The beds in the ADA room were extremely high and difficult for someone with mobility issues to safely transfer onto. They were not able to restore power and had no other available ADA rooms. In the end, my mother had to share a room with my aunt as needed assists from her to safely transfer onto the high beds and their were no grab bars in the restroom for her to safely use the bathroom. I do appreciate how apologetic and friendly the staff was, but the hotel missed the mark when it came to true ADA accommodations and maintenance support. If you have significant mobility challenges, this may not be the best fit. For travelers without accessibility needs, the hotel itself was pleasant and the staff was welcoming and professional.

No coffee amenities or hot water percolator/pot in the room.

Nice and clean, good breakfast. The string Lysol smell after every breakfast floor cleaning. A whole production every day with a large area cordoned off. Guests could not use it but staff would sit there taking their breaks.

The train was my only complaint

Staff was extremely patient and helpful with my family and I (2 adults, 4 kids, 1 dog). It was also our puppies first experience out in the world, let alone hotel. Staff allowed us to take our time with puppy and even offered assistance. Will definitely be returning whenever we are in town! That it was only a short trip!

I arrived at breakfast the next morning around 9:00. Almost everything was gone, but the sweet hostess was doing a bang up job trying to restock. Apparently the night crew had failed to defrost several of the items, so it was taking much longer to get food out to the guests. But wow! Scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits & gravy, egg white vegetable omelet, hot cinnamon rolls, pastries, cereals, juices, yogurt, coffee, and equipment for rice, oatmeal, and pancakes. Wow! The beds were extremely comfortable. I appreciated the 4 pillows - 2 firm and 2 soft. Mom is 4’ 8” and couldn’t get into the bed without help. Even I had to hop to get up into the bed, and I’m 5’ 6”. But very comfortable! We laughed as I rolled Mom up and into bed each night. I will use this hotel for guests visiting. Exceptionally clean facility, friendly staff, sweet housekeeping! Great hotel!

Pool area was small, not enough seating area for adults with children swimming, no hot tub or sauna, staff put chemicals in pool during open pool hours and wasn’t able to utilize on one of the days during our stay.

We arrived at 3:35 pm and waited in line to check in. As we were finishing the checkin process the lady casually mentions a $65 charge for the early checkin fee. We declined and came back 25 min later to avoid the fee. The right thing would have been at the start of the checkin to notify us of the fee, not at the end.($65 for 25 min is crazy). They also were not pleased we declined joining their rewards club.

Location. Loved the trains The room setup wasn't complete. We had to replace a part of the light to use it. Looked like someone replaced the bulb and forgot to finish. The filters to the air conditioner were out drying. And the blow dryer was out by where you put your luggage. Also we were not used to remote control shades. We were checking out a controller on the wall and didn't know that it controlled the shades. It made a loud noise twice and didn't want to break it. Called the front desk and they sent up supervisor. She was a bit short with us. I guess we seemed dumb to her.

The Auburn Holiday Inn Express is our preferred hotel in this area for it's location, cleanliness, and "new" feel. We've stayed here in the past and had another good stay this weekend. Breakfast was decent, and customer service was excellent at check-in. This location feels safe with ample parking. Train and highway nosie may be bothersome to some, and some may wish to know that there is no hot tub by the indoor pool. We will be back.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We were greeted at the front desk by a very pleasant lady, Maggie, I think her name was. She explained everything in detail and warned us that our room might be a bit noisy due to the trains passing on the tracks across the street from the hotel's front door. If the noise bothered us too much, she would change us to a quieter room on the other side of the building. However, the train noise didn't bother us too much. Otherwise, everything was wonderful: clean and tidy, plenty of free parking, a delicious and healthy breakfast with aromatic coffee, a friendly and smiling staff... and we even met the "real" Santa Claus there. We had nothing but pleasant memories of this hotel. We can confidently recommend it to anyone visiting Auburn, WA. Thank you to the entire staff, who so lovingly strived to make our stay as comfortable and cozy as possible.

We stopped here after flying in for the start of a family vacation. It was a long day of traveling but the woman at the front desk was so friendly that as tired as we were didn’t matter.

This property is very nice. It was well maintained, comfortable beds, very clean. But if you are a light sleeper request a room on the back side of the hotel. It is right next to a very busy freeway and a train track. The train was rumbling by at 4:45am. Still a very nice place to stay.

Hotel is great! Would definitely stay again. Staff is great, clean property. Surrounding area, Tacoma, it’s an armpit. But if you’re staying in that area, this is a good one!

There was major construction on C Street. Taking it from 4 lanes into 2. On top of the construction the only entrance/exit from the hotel was south bound on C street.So you had no choice but to sit through the traffic whether you were coming or going. I would hold off on making any reservations until the construction is done. Nice place besides that.

The room was nice and clean. It was a full house and we did not hear anything so it was nice and quiet except for the constant trains going by. The AC was set to only go down to 66 and kept shutting off so the room was not at a comfortable cool and it made it difficult to sleep. The bed was nice and comfortable and I liked that they gave two different pillows, one that was firm and one not so much!

There was construction and you could only exit one way, but everything else was great. Its right off the highway and close to so many restaurants and stores. The staff was friendly and the hotel was really nice. The breakfast was netter than most at other hotels. I would stay here again.

I feel bad not being about to give them five stars. The hotel staff and hotel itself was awesome! But it’s directly across from the rail yard. You hear trains coupling ALL NIGHT. Like extremely loud booms all night that will wake you up, and it’s especially annoying because it likely took you forever to finally be able to fall asleep in the first place. This is something that is completely out of the hotels control, so that’s why I feel bad for not giving them a five stars, but I can’t honestly recommend this hotel.

The room we reserved wasnt the correct one for our family of 6. We request and paid for a room with two queen beds and a pull out and got only two queen beds. We asked the desk to correctvthe issue and the responed that they were fully book and couldnt do anything to correct it. We had to have 3 people per bed or otherwise drive out of town for another hotel.

It was a good stay, Breakfast would have been better for my 9 year old son if the pancake machine was available.

Very clean hotel. Location was challenging to get to due to not being able to turn left into property. Freeway traffic is very loud.

Very nice, newer property convenient to main highways. Staff is very attentive and pleasant. All in all, an excellent stay!

Must be fairly new because because everything works and is clean. Friendly staff. Best to get a room on an upper floor on the southwest side of the property to get away from freeways and railroads. Given that, I would recommend it.

Our room was facing the highway, so it was very noisy at night with the cars and the trains. Overall, nice new hotel and was very clean!

This one fit the bill. It’s like new and service was good, though originally given a room that was closest to Hwy 18, even though we asked for quiet. They changed room to one much better, so all was good. The breakfast was luke warm and no green tea, but otherwise it had good selections. We will stay there again when going to another concert.

Stayed here for 3 days on a business trip. Female night auditor is fabulous. She was visible and constantly busy which is a rare gem in our industry. Breakfast attendant was wonderful and welcoming. Breakfast options were plentiful. Morning shift and mid shift staff aren't as hospitable. Not one of those staff gave me a welcoming hello or have a nice day. The floors by the elevator remained dirty until night audit staff came on. The spa is not available and I was not made aware until I asked. Besides that and the driveway in and out it was a great stay.

I rate a room by its shower, and the one in my room was great.

The property itself was very clean and welcoming, my room was also clean. The location (along the train tracks) was terrible. I was in town for work. Having meetings and prepping for a presentation was difficult as my computer would shake every time a train went by and I would have to pause for the noise. I thought the earplugs were just a nice gesture for extra quiet, but I actually needed them to try sleep as the trains ran all night, which kept me awake and exhausted for my work day.

The pool was cooler than usual. And no hot tub

I didn’t like the railroad noise

The staff are so friendly! Not only the kitchen staff making the breakfast. They went out of thier way to ensure you enjoyed your meal. The hotel is super clean with an equipped gym and pool. Enjoyed my stay - only one qualm which has nothing to do with the hotel. There’s a set of train tracks near the building and the noise from the rail is quite loud. Overall a pleasant stay.

Note that the single rooms are facing beautiful Mt. Rainier and the double rooms (which we had) are on the other side of the building. It would have been so cool to wake up looking at the mountain, but we just went outside and ooo'ed and awwed at it before we had the breakfast and on our way for the day.

The hotel itself and staff were amazing. I would definitely stay here again. We did go in the “heated pool” however it did not feel heated. Maybe if the heat was turned up about 15-20 degrees it would have been perfect.

The facility and staff itself were great. Check in was efficient. Staff member was pleasant and concise. Building is decorated cute. I wish there was water accessible. The location however requires a U turn for entrance. It is really close to the freeway and the train. Drag racing keeps waking me.

We stayed here a week working a few days and visiting with family a few days. The room setup was clean and comfortable. My husband worked from the room easily. I worked from the lobby which was very comfortable. They had a conference room we used for calls, no charge. Breakfast was adequate as expected. I was sick and they had cut oranges which were great. Fruit juices were not, orange juice came out clear and then dropped an orange blob. I brought my own English muffins as their bagels and and bread choices were stale. Eggs did the job. Lots of yogurt available. The main complaint is the area is not walkable anywhere and doesn’t feel safe.
