Auburn Motel

This is a two-story road-side (busy road) motel with no one in the office until you ring the bell and then it looks like the staff member is behind bullet-proof glass. That impression is heightened when he asks you for a $20 deposit in cash for the room key card! The incredibly stained hallway carpet, literally held together by duct tape, gives you a sense of what's to come when you enter the room. You breathe in heavy incense and see paint spattering all over the floor, paint roller marks all over the towel bar and adjacent walls to the paint, missing lightbulbs, outlets that don't cover the junction box hole, dried urine on the floor by toilet, and copious stains and cigarette holes in the comforter and sheets. I stayed my second night in Enumclaw at the Guest Inn which was THE SAME PRICE and well above average. Maybe there are better places in Auburn too. The two nights prior were in an RV and that was MUCH better than this place. They did have a microwave and mini fridge and the shower worked and the door locked. Street noise is very loud despite double-paned windows. A/C has very basic controls. Don't think about just keeping the fan on for white noise; can't be done.

Close to food and casino Don’t believe all the 1 star reviews rooms have been updated and parking lot no homeless or people living in their cars Directly on Auburn Way so traffic noise could be a problem but the windows block out most of the noise

The man who ran the motel was kind and helpful but the area where hotel is located is very sketch and has people to be concerned with, homeless, drug users, etc. I would not stay here again for those reasons.

Do not stay here, unless you do not care about your safety. Only people who do not have homes stay at this Motel.

We came in the hotel around 10p but room was not available. The only good thing was that they refer us to another horrible hotel 20 min away

It wasn’t until I contacted hotel.com customer service they reached out to property and then we was offered a new room. Me and my family refused and jugs wanted to leave the property after sleeping in a hot dark room overnight. We was given a refund for the remaining stay

Sketchy, scary place. Nasty, nothing is nice. Didn't even look at the reservation. Suppose to have a double and got a single. How does Expedia even show this place or let people make reservations thru them. Its a bad look. I'm not using Expedia anymore after this. Worst place I've ever stayed.

The property was fine (it seemed clean and safe), but it was quite expensive for what we got. There wasn't even WiFi in the room, and we paid over $100 USD. The staff were friendly and helpful.

OK for a low budget overnight stay. No bugs, no smell, clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable in #23. Staff was friendly.

I wasn't able to get the room I booked, so they were able to put me and my family in another room. The 2 ACs barely worked. There was a lamp in the bathroom for lights. Some of the light fixtures in the room did not work.

This was honestly the worst hotel that I’ve ever stayed in. The staff was rude when we checked in when we got into our room at 5 PM it was disgusting… the bed was stained and not made. There was gum on the nightstand. The manager yelled at me when I ask for another room or to have the room cleaned and I asked for a $20 cash deposit for the key card for the room. The whole area was scary and unsafe. I was overcharged. I would never stay here again.

When we checked in, the first question from the desk was "were you wanting to cancel?" :( The room smelled of mothballs or some other chemical. The floor was sticky. Our door's deadbolt would not turn to secure the door. The pillows looked stained or dirty. They had not put sheets on the bed! We were given a Double bed after reserving a Queen & being promised a King. Those were the final straws & we did not stay there.

Location okay but everything else - - - not. Checked in then checked out 15 minutes later. Staff apologetic - but I was still billed $140. on my Visa. Lesson learned.

Had to wait for 15 minutes till the clerk finally came out, who was wrapped in a blanket, the room was, curtain had holes on it and was not hung right at all, the heater had missing buttons for control, the bedding was from the 60s, didn't fit the beds, we had one towel and one wash rag for 2 people, no garbage can, no phone to call front desk, we slept on top of blankets cause were not sure if they were clean. Also had someone come in in the middle of the night and said oh sorry wrong room, keys must be the same for all rooms, people outside were tweekers, going through their truck throughout the night. Scary place to stay.

The two people at the front desk were super nice. The facility was filthy. Towels were stained. Floors were disgusting. Toilet rocked back and forth. We were checked into a room that someone was already occupying. And that man was cooking something in his room. I honestly thought my car would be stolen overnight.

Auburn Motel is right across the street from the Les Gove Park. Great park for walking my dog.

Room wasn't ready when I checked in, in the evening. Had to wait while they put a shower curtain and blinds and install the toilet seat. No soap, no trashcan, stained/dirty towels. Someone was working on a truck in the parking lot with tools and parts everywhere. And someone, who they claim to not know, came into my room while I was sleeping and was in the room for a minute and a half before I woke up to find them standing at the end of the bed and left quickly once I woke up. I'm going to file a police report. They offered me half my payment back. I'm never going back there again.

I think it is way overpriced for what you get. The room was pretty clean but the air-conditioning was not good. The window type unit did not have a front so the air just blows on the bed closest to it. Parking was ok but I didn't feel real safe there.

Front desk staff was very kind. The place, though….Sketchy. So sketchy.

it's an old hotel with many questionable people staying there. The management was polite and helpful, A+ to them The hotel needs some updating.

First off scheduled stay and the room was not ready for 2 hours. I had to leave my stuff in the car while I carried out my plans for the day. Anyway, Homeless encampment in the back lot. Room is dirty, the only provided thing is a packet of shampoo you’d find in a jail and a towel for shower and washing hand towel. Bedding stained, pillows stained. The sketchiest place to stay in auburn. The staff was doing there job, as best they could with what they have.

The room did not smell good at all.. I would not even bring my clothes up to the room. I literally smell like the room the next day even after I left.

Excellent customer service and very much appreciated how the lady working front desk aknowledged my daughter for helping me out with my youngest two. It made her feel validated and special especially when she rewarded her. It touched my heart deeply especially when it was our first (single mom) family trip. Thank you so much it was the cherry on top of such a comfortable and most relaxing stay.

Even though it was old, the manager was helpful and kind and courteous.

Auburn Motel is a reasonable low cost option. If you are looking for a cost effective place to lay your head it checks that box.

The beds need an upgrade. The lights in the bathroom did not work. The bathroom light and fan fixture did not have a cover. The TV did not work but staff let me use her app to watch tv.

Nothing works

Ant traps in the corner of room, no trash cans, used fake nail in drawer in bathroom. No phone, my wheelchair didn't even make it into the room with the bed.barely made it through the actual doorway.

There was crap on the toilet and the shower curtain, couldn't get coffee over all worst place. To stay was there for 7 days, never again

The first room they gave me was dirty. As in dirt in the bed, stained sheets, old stained pillows, and cigarette burns all throughout the blankets. Got a different room after being told I can't get a refund. Room was better, but still not nice, until at 2 am we were woken up by earwigs crawling on us and the wall. Went to the desk. Nobody was there. Called an Uber and stayed elsewhere. Called the desk first thing in the morning and manager argued about the bugs and wouldn't give me a refund. Horrible property and management would not recommend to anyone.

No frills accommodation - good value. Friendly, accommodating staff.

the place was clean and for the price you get what you pay for. Place is dated and could use a lot of upgrading to the rooms. People were pleasant but trying to get towels the next day was a hassle. It is fine if you are on a tight budget or if you are just needing a place for an overnight stay.

Dirty unsafe terrible

Initially, they misunderstood and booked us in as another guest, who had paid $20 more for their room. Gave us cash for the difference. Room had at least 7 flies, which I killed most of them before bed using a magazine they offered from their check-in lobby as they did not have a fly swatter that I would borrow. The bedspread and sheets had visible loose dirt (and hair on the sheets). We requested new sheets and were brought clean sheets and a blanket for us to put on ourselves. I then went to the office to get replacement pillow cases. There is no ice machine. They did accommodate our request for a first-floor room.

When I booked room through Expedia I didn’t see office was closed at 10! I travelled from Canada & got into Auburn just after midnight. Surprised door locked, no one at desk. I called few times & finally got through. I woke staff up to let me in! She was accommodating & glad I got to rest.

Floor in room was dirty. Sheets didn't appear clean. One of the outlets was on the same switch as the room light, light off-outlet off.

Walls are thin so you can hear the loud neighbors and the highway is the very noisy at night. The sink didn't drain, the room was stuffy and smelled of decades of smoking (at least the A/C unit worked to clear that out), the outer hallways were littered with trash (cigarette butts and cans), and the stair well smelled of urine. But the price was cheap, so you get what you pay for.

The owner seems dedicated to providing a good experience

I paid for a room with a King bed, as I am tall and the option was available. When I arrived, I was told that the motel did not actually have any rooms with King beds (literally lied to Expedia about having them at all, not just for that night). Instead, they just have a guest suite with a larger, second room included. It was too late in the evening to argue this and I had a weekend of work ahead of me, so I was forced to accept this answer and take the room. When I got into the room, the bedding and bedsheets were stained and gross - I ended up taking the pillows and sleeping on the smaller couch in the secondary room. On night #2, there were bugs in the bedding, so I again slept on the couch. I was too busy with working to deal with changing hotels mid-stay. There was also no WiFi available to me in the hotel room as advertised - because the room was too far away from the single WiFi router they had set up in the office (my room is on the opposite end of the motel).

Probably the nastiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They appear to be trying to remodel… the labor is NOT skilled.

The room was spacious The air in room was filled with old smoke Brought in my own lysol wipes to wipe down some surfaces- dirty- there was sunflower seeds like bird seed in a drawer and bits of stuff frozen in the ice in the small freezer I brought my own lysol spray and sprayed down the room and bathroom-- it was ok for awhile-ended up sleeping with my mask on there was no battery for the remote control and the table lamps wouldn't turn on

there was a group of people being very loud outside their rooms

Being right along a busy road it was a little noisy with the usual roadside garbage (occasional paper, cans etc.) And people walking by late at night. .most of the rooms were located in the back of the building so wouldnt have noticed.

This hotel is a mess, no wifi, and trash all over, a pair of underwear around a pole by the stairs to the 2nd floor

Really run down. Staff weren't so friendly. Lots of stained furniture and flooring. Heater was either way to hot or way to cold.

The staff was nice and helpful. The room was good and clean.

This place is real sketchy!! Just plain terrible!! Looked like a gathering place for crack heads when we got back from the show. Would have tried to find another room, but @ midnight its kinda hard. Slept with one eye open!!!

Sorry but this was bottom of barrel accommodations. Floor dirty, tv wouldnt turn on, refrigerator HORRIBLE, sink faucet broken, questionable if rm had been cleaned prior except bed looked fresh, no bedspread. Staff were very friendly and accommodating when I went to get missing toilet paper and soap.

The power was outage at this hotel when I arrived to check in. There is no customer service at the front desk from 3:30pm to 2am, so I booked another hotel close by the area at 330am in the morning.

clean,comfortable, good staff. Only problem was the couple next door’s enthusiastic lovemaking.

It is a little bit quirky but charming and comfortable place to stay.
