I will definitely stay here again. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room had everything I needed, and the fact there were beach chairs to use was a plus.

Checked in after hours and Greg was right on of it and got us setup without any hassles. It was perfect!

Very clean, cute space with comfy beds . We absolutely loved everything except the use of fragrance in the room. I feel like resorts need to understand is that use of fragrance is simply toxic chemicals that we are breathing in .

Nespresso pods and machine for a great cup of coffee in the room. Beach chairs provided were perfect for watching the sunset.

Was clean, amenities nice, comfortable bed with lots of pillows. We did not have housekeeping, but technically really didn’t need. There was a coffee shop on premises, which is apparently popular with local runners after their beach run, and because our room was upfront across from the shop, we had about 10-20 chatty people milling around right outside our door at 7 am. Parking was tight… but overall everything was really just as expected… as I had also read the previous reviews. There was lots of shops and conveniences near by, the beach was a 7-10 minute walk. I would definitely stay again… !

The room was nice but had a musty smell and the photos are and 9.6 Exceptional rating is not accurate. There is no front desk staff after 5pm and no ice machine when the front desk is closed and no explanation of how to join the wifi in the room.

Not a 4 star hotel experience at all. Receptionist was nice. Room smelled like cleaning solution, which she offered to clean but the smell remained. No management on property after 5PM but a 24 hour texting line is available.

The hotel was an older hotel. it had been updated, but still had an oldish vibe.Our room was very small. The space was maximized by having bunkbeds. With that being said, I would still highly recommend it. It was close to the beach within walking distance. It had many restaurants that were also within walking distance. The staff was very friendly.

Floors in rooms were concrete with only a partial rug. Limited space to store things. Staff only in office beginning at 10. Coffee shop not open on weekends.

I’m a local here in Atlantic beach, and stayed on property for a staycation. This boutique style hotel is perfect for a little get away. Right in the heart of AB, you can walk to the town center and go get your favorite bite to eat and cocktails. The staff is always so kind and friendly. Your rooms are perfect with local touches like PeterBrooke chocolate covered popcorn, and checkered beach towels for your walk down to the shore. I will always highly recommend Hotel Palms.

I was a bit disappointed that the desk closed before 6p. I needed ice and was not able to get any. Also, the person rooming with me did not have a parking pass. We had to call to inform them about her car so it would not get towed. All in all it was a great experience. We had left some things in the room and they held them for us until we could pick them up.

Interesting old motel... hotels.com listing was very misleading. There are no bars on property and the "lounge" is a coffee shop open M-Thur (?!??!!??!!??).

Genuine staff, genuine service, genuine retro with updated accents and amenities. Laid back and charming with restful courtyard, just a couple blocks from the Beaches Town Center restaurants, nightlife and, of course, the beach itself.

This was my third time staying at the Hotel Palms and it was just as great as the prior times. Really fun place in walking distance to all the cool restaurants and beach of Atlantic Beach. Rooms and beds were comfy, friendly staff, and welcoming environment. Had a live music and “cook out” gathering while I was there. Only one thing that was an adjustment is that the room I had this time had a shared door with the room next door and because of that I could hear everything the guess next door said and did! Awkward! Lol. Will make sure to ask for a room that doesn’t have a connecting door in the future!

Everything about the property was excellent, except for the absence of a closet and drawers in the room. There were only three knobs on the wall for hanging clothes, which proved insufficient. Typically, hotel rooms offer closets with hangers and a couple of drawers to stow your clothes, but in this case, none were provided. Additionally, there were no safety boxes in our room.

We stay here at least once a year and have made this our go to for our anniversary get away. I cannot say enough good things about The Hotel Palms. We love every second of every stay!

I've stayed here before, and I really love this place. It's a remodeled older motel, but done in a very cool way. It's close to downtown, walkable to the beach, and you can park there and just walk around town the rest of your visit.

This was my second time staying at Hotel Palms. Went with my 13 year old and she thought it was the coolest place ever. Clean, comfortable, trendy and the vibes were just all there. The lady at check-in was so accommodating and helpful. Also, best part- literally walking distance to all the restaurants, shopping and beach access at Atlantic Beach. Only place I'll stay at in the area!

Everything was way above average except for the fact that since the owners/management aren’t there all the time. The last night of my stay there was a loud party in the courtyard until 3 am so it was hard to get any sleep.

Staff friendly. No ice machine or microwave. Shower very small. Floor not carpeted or tiled. Don’t know if I would come back especially at the same daily rate

It’s often difficult for a hotel to provide the level of community that many travelers seek; however, the Hotel Palms is able to expertly combine the comforts of a hotel (clean rooms, comfortable beds, customer service) with the cultural experience that of a vacation rental. Tucked into a neighborhood, steps from the active Atlantic Beach, you somehow feel as though you are a tourist welcomed into the neighborhood. With a lovely coffee shop for guests and locals alike, and a design that transports you to a familiar, yet non Floridian feel, the balance was certainly welcomed and enjoyed. I doubt I’ll stay anywhere else if ever back in Northeast Florida.

Great location that's walkable to all the beach restaurants and the beach. They did a great job renovating the property. The walls are a little thin, but that's to be expected. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Palms. We were visiting friends that live in the neighborhood and needed an extra bedroom. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and quiet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I have been converted. I have never stayed at a hotel where I felt this comfortable! It’s honestly hard to do this review because I want to keep it a secret because they are always so booked up! But we had an amazing time. Check in was very simple and uncomplicated, our entire stay was peaceful, never a problem with anything. We always had parking available, food and shopping close by, the beach was a beautiful walk thru the neighborhood.. I’ve already booked our next trip! The courtyard was a sanctuary at night and came to life on the weekend mornings. The coffee shop was booming and rightfully so! The absolute best golden milk I’ve ever had! Greg was incredibly personable and great to talk with. A very very laid back place which was exactly what we needed.

It was a very in intimate courtyard style hotel. Coffee and breakfast options. Very art deco in style, nicely updated and a ceiling fan!! Nice and clean.

Highly recommend for travelers who are not thrilled with hiltons, embassy suites, Marriotts, Hyatt’s etc type cookie cutter accommodations. The palms hotel is a breath of fresh air. I’d return.

Really great hotel! The staff was amazing and the place was spotless.

The location is excellent! Once we parked the car, we rarely used it during our five-day stay. The beach is three blocks away and shopping and restaurants are walkable. The staff was very efficient and courteous. Our only suggestion is to add coffee makers to the rooms. Although coffee was available in the reception area, the times were inconsistant.

Will definitely be returning. Boutique hotel with EXCELLENT location. Free parking, cute design and in-room fridge. Liked that the in-room snacks and drinks were locally sourced.

The Hotel Palms is a very cool spot. No stress. Everything's good. Relax. Enjoy. We walked to wherever we needed to go with the beach and restaurants being just blocks away. The live music duo in the courtyard on Saturday evening and also on Sunday morning was very nice. My brother and I stayed in the room with the bunk beds which was memorable since we had bunk beds as kids. We are both over six feet and a half feet tall, and the beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed and will definitely stay at the Hotel Palms again.

The staff was extremely friendly although I did not spend much time on the property other other than to sleep. Nice location and quiet room. Rooms are small but clean and offer everything you might need (no blow dyer, though).

Fantastic little boutique hotel in Atlantic Beach. The rooms are beautifully renovated, very comfortable. Nice walkable beach neighborhood with numerous shops and restaurants. While it's not right on the beach, it's just a couple of blocks off. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Jacksonville.

Hotel Palms is a little slice of old school Florida charm! We always enjoy staying at Hotel Palms when we visit the Jax Beaches!

The location was perfect - walking distance to the ocean and right next door to great local shops and eateries. The rooms were funky, but comfortable. This is definitely not your cookie-cutter chain hotel. We would definitely return for a longer stay!

Upon arrival, I was greeted by their extremely friendly staff. My room was very modern and well kept. They have a variety of local snacks and assorted beverages in the room for additional purchase of so desired. Bathroom was very clean and featured a rain style shower head which provided a peaceful, relaxing shower. In the courtyard of the hotel, there is a common area featuring a fireplace for the occasional chilly night, and space to do yoga with the mats that can be borrowed from the office if you don’t have your own. Within walking distance there are multiple restaurants and shops providing a little something for all tastes. Extremely satisfied with my visit and will definitely return if I’m in the area

Very quiet and relaxing

Absolutely wonderful experience from the second we checked in to the second we checked out. We originally booked for 1 night to check the town out since we will be moving to the area and ended up extending our stay because of the wonderful atmosphere, perfect location, and friendliness of all staff members. Cutest beach hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I plan to tell my family to stay here when they come down to visit the area! Such a boujee little coffee shop attached to the property as well, unique cups of coffee and lovely service. Such a wonderful wonderful trip!!!
