Location. Ten minutes from the meeting location. Slept very well. I had to leave early, but previous experience was a good breakfast. Hot shower, good water pressure. Minor carpet repair needed. I reported at check-out.

Nothing nasty staff tried to make me pay twice and threw me out Staff are trashy unprofessional

The room was clean, but there was an odor in the room. I had to clean the air conditioner filters. The pool was open, but there was a lot of debris in it. The breakfast choices were sparse. The staff was great.

Breakfast was good. The staff was helpful. The elevator didnt work the whole 3 days we were there and the pool needed ro be cleaned. Not a bad stay but they could do a better job on the maintenance.

Everyone at the property was very friendly and helpful, except the lady that runs the kitchen for breakfast. She was not friendly at all. The front desk staff were awesome. The only other suggestion I would have is that it would be nice if there were some bars to hold onto in the shower and also if there was a shelf of some kind in the shower to set things on. Thank you.

The shower. Heads need to be cleaned or replaced. Toilets need to be replaced . My room? The tank broke off. Had to hold handel to flush. Electrical outlet by bed are wore out.

Mathew was very good with us fixing what was not working in our room. He was very diligent and took care for us. He fix everything ASAP. Breakfast was very nice. Always full and lost to choose from. In general all the employees that I interact with were very friendly and nice. Rooms need tlc. Carpets are rough, base boards and things that were not working. Like the blower and tv remote.

The Staff there was wonderful. Lovely, clean room. They all were kind and willing to help me. I will stay there on my future visits. Thank you all.

Initially, I was placed in a room that had a chair that looked as if it was straight from the dumpster. It reeked urine. I was horrified and discombobulated. The bed smelled of stinky feet. I sprayed the room and furniture with Lysol and it did not help. I was transferred to another room and it was a little better. The staff were friendly and nice. However, The experience has left me with feeling very disappointed. Looking back, I am entitled to a refund, at least partially. This place was more like a motel than a hotel. I will not be returning. Linens should be cleaned and changed per every check out visit and that means the entire bed linen changed, pillows, sheets, and spread. Customers should not be subjected to what I experienced. Especially, considering what is charged to stay at the hotel facility.

The hotel had a lot of smells likely due to common areas lacking AC. The room itself had a smell that took some time to go away. I needed a spoon bc missed breakfast and the lady cleaning the area would not give me one.

I put a brand new pair of socks on my two year old and after only a couple of minutes of walking on the carpet in our room, the bottom of his socks were filthy, like the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in months. When my husband asked the housekeeper if she could come back to clean in 30 minutes to give us time to leave the room, she replied she only cleaned from 9-10am and wouldn’t be able to come back that day. To my knowledge, our room was never cleaned during our week-long stay. Finally, there was the pool. We took our son, niece and nephew to swim and the pool walls were covered in algae, the bottom of the pool was filthy, and there was all kinds of plastic and debris floating in it. I liked it was close to Mayport base and a great breakfast joint called Eggboy. The staff was nice. I have to ask to cancel the rest of my stay after the first night as there was several GIANT cockroaches in my room, and it smelled very musky and dirty.

We booked last minute but they were very professional, nice and welcoming. The water pressure was amazing! The room was spotless and we like the bed; it was hard but comfortable and the pillows were in good condition. Breakfast was so-so. The protein was hash, not really our jam, but it is what it is for a decent priced room. Also, pool was small and underwhelming

The breakfast attendant Rosa is the rudest human i have ever encountered. When we went down for breakfast,at 830am, there wasnt anything available,no food,no juice,no coffee and no syrup for waffles. I asked for syrup and told Rosa it was truly ridiculous that there were 6 other guests and no food on the breakfast. Rosa began speaking in Spanish and yelling at me,I told her i spoke Spanish and to stop cussing me out. Tosa was so out of control,the Front Desk Attendant kept apologizing profusely for Rosas actions. I want to be compensated for this OR is it Best Westerns policy to advertise free breakfast but not provide it

Elevator didn’t work and wasn’t fixed in the two days we were there. Old building. Wifi worked great though as I had to do an exam in my room my last day. Probably wouldn’t choose this one again to be honest.

The bathroom floor had spilled coffee. The bed sheets had holes in them. This is not a beach front property as advertised. This property is 3.2 miles from the beach. The room has an odor. The front desk personnel were good.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Would definitely recommend it and would love to stay again. Felt very safe, quiet hotel, easy to find, easy to park. Great breakfast and the girl on breakfast duty was so cheerful and had everything ready before 6am. Very impressed.

The Best Western in Mayport was very conveniently located as I visited family who were receiving care at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. The breakfast and staff member, Rosie, were excellent. There were hot eggs, protein, make-your-own waffles and oatmeal every day along with cereals, yogurt, breads, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. I used the fitness room once and that was great (although I couldn't find the remote for the TV). Overall the room was clean and fresh linens were provided. The microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator with a small freezer came in very handy. The hotel could use on-going upgrades and I'd suggest removing carpeting and putting in hard flooring to make things easier to clean. The cost was a bit higher than I would have liked (about $650 for a four night stay for one person), but within the range of other options.

This hotel was not in a nice part of town. Barbed wire on the fence around the property. No place to walk the dog. No where to eat nearby. The staff was great especially the woman in the breakfast room. Dogs are allowed for an extra fee.

The beds were hard and the head of the be was tilted downward so i had to sleep on the ither end. And to top that off we had a wonderful view of a a homeless person that was living between the motel and the dollar tree, which greeted our morning with popping a squat right out in the open . Needles to say we did not stay the second night.

The place horrible never had a manager on duty to help and the staff just knew how to say I’m sorry we can’t help call Monday to speak to a manager. I reported animals in the room and bathroom. Do not stay on the place.

My wife and I travel very infrequently, her sister hosted our Thanksgiving Fest there in Atlantic Beach. I've never booked anything using Hotels.com, I have $150.00 worth of your gift cards, so when I made our reservation on line I thought I was reserving the room with my debit card then use the gift cards upon arrival for the partial payment. As we were checking in Robby was on the desk, and stated that our room had already been pre-paid by Hotels.com and I would be unable to use the Hotels.com gift cards at this time. So that was bad enough, but around 9:00 am, 11/24/23, Room 208-B, I was showering, slipped and fell in the tub, on the way down I grabbed the shower curtain, bending the shower rod, the non-skid surface of the bath tub has worn off over time and was smooth to the touch, my back was sore for about a week and it appears that I'm ok, so I'm not considering filing a complaint. My wife was just outside the door when I fell, took photos of the bent rod, absence of grab bar, and the worn down surface bottom of the tub. As we were checking out we advised the maid service about what just happened and appraised BW's desk clerk the same information. As we were checking in Robby was on the desk, and stated that our room had already been pre-paid by Hotels.com and I would be unable to use the Hotels.com gift cards at this time. So that was bad enough, but around 9:00 am, 11/24/23, Room 208-B, I was showering, slipped and fell in the tub, on the way down I grabbed the shower curtain, bending the shower rod, the non-skid surface of the bath tub has worn off over time and was smooth to the touch, my back was sore for about a week and it appears that I'm ok, so I'm not considering filing a complaint. My wife was just outside the door when I fell, took photos of the bent rod, absence of grab bar, and the worn down surface bottom of the tub. As we were checking out we advised the maid service about what just happened and appraised BW's desk clerk the same information. The carpet in our room had holes in it. The pool you had to go out the hotel and walk around the property to get access to the pool. The staff wasnt very friendly and acted like you were inconvenient for asking how to access the pool. The pool was relaxing and well upkept. The breakfast was a muffin as the oranges in florida was well past ripe. Which was shocking because florida oranges. Would not recommend especially when there are soooo many other hotels in the area.

Extremely friendly staff from front desk to the repair man we saw in the hallway. Very clean. Nice landscaping. Pleasant pool.

The next morning from the time I woke and for the next 4 hours I lost my ability to work or even leave because everything is in my phone. After 4 hours of stress I decided to ask the front desk if they had my phone. It was then the woman working said "oh yes, here is a note from the Uber driver. Then she proceeded to tell my I had 20 minutes to check out. Zero compassion of the problem. Then I found out that not only did the woman at the desk neglect to simply call my room or knock on the door to relay the message, the person that was at the desk the night prior refused to accept the phone from the Uber driver, he never bothered to attempt to inform me that my phone was there. We all know our phones are heavily attached to our lives. I found both employees to have complete disregard for me or the circumstance that caused my a great deal of stress. The woman at the front was equally insensitive to the situation because she had the ability to inform me first thing in the morning. I will never stay at this property again.

The smell of cigarettes in the room was overwhelming. No I didn’t ask for non smoking room because the entire hotel is “non smoking “ (signs posted and clearly stated online) will never stay at a best western again. I can still smell it on my suitcase and clothes I didn’t wear.

When checking in we were greeted by employee Named Bobby he was friendly curious and made check-in a breeze.

The only thing that needs immediate attention is the fact that there was ZERO anti-slip material in the shower. Had it not been for a super acrobatic balancing act, I would have needed to call an ambulance. When I stepped into the shower it was like stepping barefoot on oil. I actually laid down a towel to stand on without slipping. This is pretty serious injury and lawsuit type stuff. FIX THIS!

The lady up front was very nice and attentive to any needs. I can't remember her name but she had black hair and was very nice. I rated the property very high and it was probably the best hotel of the four nearby. But warning, I did start to get a lot of suspicious email after I gave the disc my email. To the owner, I think you have someone selling people's email addresses to third parties. But one bad employee doesn't mean I will not stay here again.

The floor was so dirty your feet turned black. The kids spilled water and when I dried it up the entire towel was brown and the employees claimed the carpets were cleaned. Obviously not. Workers in breakfast area very rude! Lots of homeless wondering through the parking lot. Phone absolutely disgusting! Curtains broken, lights broken.

It was clean, staff was very friendly and polite.

Beds were not too comfortable, or the pillows. The people above us were up all night playing music- not so much the hotels fault but they should’ve been aware.

Great location along A1A and close to all the beaches without having to pay the higher rates with oceanfront properties. The breakfast here is awesome.
