Motel 6 Atlanta, GA – Atlanta Airport East

An absolute disaster at Motel 6 Atlanta Airport East. I had a late check-in and walked straight into a terrible smelling room that looked like someone had just previously used it. To make matters significantly worse, the air conditioning stopped working completely during the night, leaving me sweating with zero air circulation. The front desk staff was completely unhelpful and never even gave me the Wi-Fi code, yet they had no problem forcing a signature out of me at check-in. The lack of basic cleanliness, non-functional amenities, and unprofessional staff behavior made this stay completely unacceptable. Save your money and book somewhere else—this property is completely unmanageable and poorly run

Not good, barley give you more than one pillow, sheets are unclean and staff is rude and wakes you up earlier than check out.

Nothing at all to like about this place. There are a bunch of live in getto people that live there. They are outside half the night smoking weed on the property. Don't think that the live in people were very happy with me being there. Someone set off fireworks right at my door late that night while I was sleeping. All good in the hood. Best believe I had my concealed carry on me. Yeah its one of them places.

This is an old facility not well maintained. It's on the path of planes landing at the Atlanta airport when the wind is from the west and is very noisy.

There was a disgusting smell of marijuana all around the hotel, in the garden and at the entrance, and even in the corridors and rooms; there were no fire alarms in the rooms, there was no security, the bedding and pillowcases inside the room were filthy and smelled disgusting, and because the bathroom was dirty and smelly, I didn’t even take a shower. If you stay at this hotel, you are certain to catch germs, bacteria and viruses.

There was nothing to like. Property was filthy. Pictures are not accurate. It looks nothing like the pictures posted on bookings app inside or out. I tried to upload the videos but it won’t let me. Pictures don’t do it justice to how bad it was. I couldn’t even sit down that’s how dirty the rooms were.

I canceled my reservation 5 hours after i booked. It was supposed to be a pay when you get there booking. They took my money after i canceled. And gave me the run around about a refund. I never received my refund.

I recommend that Motel 6 take several steps to improve the guest experience, including thoroughly cleaning rooms, checking behind doors for any items left by previous guests, and repainting tubs where needed. Additionally, the property should ensure that all non working vehicles are towed, trash is regularly removed especially from the front of the property and stairwells are kept clean. Installing a working ice machine and and it should be common courtesy to offer fresh towels to guests staying multiple nights, such as three or more. I also requested a king room with a refrigerator and did not receive one; honoring simple room preferences, especially for My6 members, would reflect better service and appreciation for loyal customers.

The rooms are what you'd expect. Simple, no frills. The bed is somewhat comfortable. There was a slight smell to everything. The condition of the hotel is just this side of disrepair. I would not have stayed here if I hadn' thad to make last minute reservation.

The photos on the website did NOT depict the actual room aesthetics, cleanness, decor. Unacceptable. There was cigarette burns on the bed comforter. We did not stay the night - we checked out after being there only 3 hours. Actually we should have requested a refund. Would NOT recommend this hotel.

If you cannot find any other place to stay, then this is fine. Front desk gentleman was kind and efficient in checking us in, it is close to the airport, TV worked, and it was cheap, but the place if fairly run down - room hasn't been painted in about 15 years, holes in the walls, floor was buckling, shower dripped all the time, there was a clear gap around the door to the outside (all doors open to the outside, there are no door to an interior corridor), sheets had multiple stains, mattress should have been replaced a while ago, and the shower/tub surround was literally pealing away.

If you cannot find any other place to stay, then this is fine. It was 25° out and when I entered my room, the heater had clearly not been turned on in days. I slept in my coat, shivering, as it took all night to heat the room. Dirtiest hotel I've even stayed in. I would have been better off sleeping on the floor in the airport.

I showed up and all the power in all of the rooms was off, the person checking people in was sitting there in the dark with his phone light on to see, and doors of random rooms were just sitting there ajar, swinging. There were a couple random people wandering around outside, and like 4 of the 15 cars in the lot had serious damage. I was in complete disbelief. My uber driver and I looked at each other and he immediately pulled the car out, while I booked a new place and spent the night there. I don't know if I caught them on, like, the worst night they've had in years or if this is at all normal. But that was possibly the most suspicious "hotel" building I've ever pulled up to in a car. I will be pursuing a refund. Do not stay here.

The first room had roaches and it smelled like mold and weed. The second room thrre because we changed rooms dudnt smell as bad but it was the same with the bedspead had burn holes in it. We had to sleep in hoodies so my hair or body touch it.

We went to the front desk and asked if we could check out early and get a refund for the nights we weren’t staying and he said that was fine to check out by 11. (I choose to pay at the hotel) When we went into the office in the morning there was a different person at the counter who was refusing to issue a refund. He said because it was through a third party there was nothing he could do. He refused to call a manager. I contacted hotels.com (who were amazing). They said because I paid at the hotel he would have to issue the refund. Hotels.com tried to call the hotel and I watched as he kept answering, putting them on hold and hanging up on them. He made no effort to be helpful and almost seemed like he was trying to be difficult. I know it’s a motel 6 and I wasn’t expecting luxury but the condition of this place and the customer service was crazy. Lesson learned. I’ll spend a little extra next time. It’s worth the peace of mind.

so we just didn't watch any of that. then later when i go to brush my teeth, i get done and decide to use the hand towel on the wall to dry my mouth off with. i just barely touched it and the whole towel rack fell off the wall. lol

The room was a awful. Black mold on the walls in the shower. Broken towel rack. Tile base board was broken and holes in the wall. The chair looked like it was pulled from the local garbage dump.

I stayed at this location as a last resort when the ATL airport gave my rental car to someone else. Was the room and the property like a 5 star resort? Not even close. However, it was a place to stay for 1 night until we were able to get a rental car the next day. The front desk manager was extremely nice. Bookings through 3rd parties was messing up his system and was still accepting reservations when he didn't actually have any rooms. Luckily for my family I called asking for a different room and to make sure everything was set. When I got there our room had been upgraded and I found out it was the very last room they had. The following day we needed to stay way past check out and the late check out and they only charged us a small amount. This was extremely generous helpful because we would've been on the street in the ATL heat until we could leave. I'm not really sure about the location. We got there after midnight, and it was dark. From looking around the day we left, it's rather remote and there's not a lot around but food delivery is available, and the parking lot is well lit. Would I stay here again? In a pinch yes I would.

They do not serve breakfast like they advertise. The room I was in needed many repairs. Looked like someone punched a hole into the wall/door, snot was on the walls, sink was cracked, Tub drain was not draining, Tub faucet was broken/dangling. This place is not near anything. We booked this hotel because it was close to the airport, knowing that it would be basic. I was worried that it would be dumpy but we were pleasantly surprised for the cleanliness, comfort and good condition. We were disappointed to learn that breakfast would not be available, although it was indicated on the Hotels.com details. One major drawback is that the hotel is in the flights path of the very busy airport. It's not too bad given the price.

First and foremost I would like a reimbursement. There was an infestation of roaches. No tv not towels nothing. Just two bed a microwave and an unplugged TV. The bathroom door was off the hinges and the ceiling caved in

Don't let the pictures fool you, this place looks nothing like the pictures. Lobby was closed, you had to check in through a "night window" during the day. It felt like the place was so unsafe, that you could not even enter the lobby area for the safety of the staff. The room was dirty, we did not even consider to use the shower/tub and just slept with the closes we arrived on and tried to take a nap to leave as early as possible the next morning. That was hard as the sketchy people that frequent that place is very loud and scream through the night. The road and plane noises also make impossible to rest.

We pulled up and immediately decided we had made a mistake. The person at the desk was very unhelpful, could not even let me use the men's room. There was a toilet on the balcony, everything looked filthy. We opted to leave and find another hotel, which took us quite some time after a long day of driving. He did say they would not charge us, so that better be the case. Very disappointing!!

The Motel was nice, clean, comfortable. The area was questionable and the planes were very loud, however they did seem to quite down @ night. Overall we enjoyed our stay and if you will be in that area I would definitely recommend staying there just don’t look for a pool, there isn’t one. We had plans for the evening, so for once a pool didn’t matter, though it would have if our trip was to be there for a few days

It was nice for what I needed. Pricewise a bit much for its condition. The rooms was clean enough to be comfortable but needs upgrades on bedding and towels. The area is very sketchy at night. Overall I would stay there again if I attended another expo event in the area just not solo.

quick stay but I have been there before. Every time I come, something is replaced and rooms are seem to be refreshed and worked on. Great for the price, stuff friendly and professional.

The person working at the front desk was very rude. He got mad at me because the name on my credit card is a shortened form of my name and wouldn't let me use it. The property and surrounding area was not safe looking so we were fine leaving!

Horrible man. charged double the deposit and took 6 days to clear. There are plenty of options around. Pick a different chain. Will never stay here again

They have a $40.00 no smoking charge that is refundable if you don't smoke in the room. They however place a $80.00 dollar hold on your debit account and only refund $40.00 dollars. Still drawing $40.00 dollars from your account. They also have some generic posting stating that it could take 15-30 days before a bank release a hold on funds. This turns out to be a charge not a hold. It was also confided to me that they do this because of the local clients who frequent and it's best to use a credit card vs debit, because the hold is released within 24 hours. Now I've got to contact my credit union and hopefully not the court's.

If you are looking to save some money, this hotel is great. The room was cleaned every day we were there. My only complaint was the gap in the door. The room was safe enough, but the one inch gap allowed millipedes to enter into the room. I taught them how to swim(flushed them away).

Employees were nice. Too much airplane traffic to get a good nights sleep. Floors were dirty by the evidence my feet left when getting in the shower!

Hotel was ok. Staff was friendly but first time ive had to wait to checkout while my room is inspected for deposit purposes. Room was clean but beds were too hard. Dissapointed with breakfast and no pool. Probably wont ever stay there again

I also asked for a receipt and was told since I had booked through a third party ie: hotels.com, I needed to get a receipt from them. Not a well run or friendly place to spend a night after traveling 600 miles that day. They get a poor grade from me. and if going back through the atrae would seek other establishments. If your hoping for a quiet nights sleep, good luck as the motels is under the flight path of the airport. very loud and distracting.

We were there for only 1 night checked in late the room was fresh smelling and very clean and was not overly priced considering it was a race weekend

Wifi wasn't working and when I let hotel staff know they were ignorant and careless and I wanted to buy water and soda and the machine wasn't working either and respond of hotel was this is out our control and belongs to another company . My next door was 3 guy and a girl and un propriate nosie all night long. So it was a nightmare all around

The hotel was clean and the rooms had been remodeled. We were in town to see a concert at the amphitheater and the hotel was fairly close to there.

For a Super 8 it was awful...loud pounding and banging and yelling from guests above us. When we asked the front desk to please deal with it the Manager's response was "we dont' want to turn anyone away or upset them." So, those of us who were there to try and SLEEP from midnight to 5am were out of luck. Felt dirty in the rooms so we wore socks while walking on the carpet...my socks were filthy by morning. Will not recommend or stay here again! If you don't care about getting any sleep, and keep your feet covered so you don't get them dirty...go ahead and stay here....and it was NOT exactly inexpensive!

Just needed some time for personal meditation, worked well despite proximity to highway. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The staff were very nice. There were also a lot of airplanes flying overhead all day and all night. Overall, it was OK.

It was decent for what we paid for however the area around it is pretty much the ghetto. The room was clean so we couldn't complain and the front desk was really helpful.

Right off the interstate. Very easy to find. Room was clean. The floors were laminate, which seemed more clean than if the floor had been carpeted. Good amenities; Free TV, internet, breakfast, parking, minifridge and microwave. Cons: Very close to the airport. The airplanes are LOUD. Air conditioning system controls were outdated, though effective. Internet was not fast enough for streaming videos. Breakfast was sparce. It was mostly pre-packaged pastries, cereal, toast, and waffles. If you want nothing but sugar for breakfast, it was fine. The only remotely healthy options were the bananas (available on the first morning, but weren't there on the second) and yogurt.

when we arrived 1am in the morning after 18 hrs of flying, we were greeted with a notice for an additional $5 per night for road tax! On their website it was advertised there was public transport and a swimming pool...there was neither, we left a day earlier because of the situation and there was no offer of a refund or anything else, really disappointed....

Room was clean , staff very professional. Easy access to airport. location very private. The next time we stay there, we will bring earplugs to reduce the noise from the airplanes. Overall great stay.
