Reviews
Guests have mixed feelings about this hotel. While many appreciate the friendly staff and clean rooms, others express disappointment with the property's condition and various amenity issues.
- Friendly staff
- Clean rooms
- Property condition and maintenance issues
- Lack of amenities (e.g., microwave, mini-fridge, working elevators)

Very outdated. Needs a lot of work. Carpet and other flooring was so dirty.

The room was very clean. Upon check-in, there was an issue with the air conditioner, but the front desk immediately sent maintenance to address it. The maintenance staff member was very friendly and, when he realized the issue couldn’t be fixed right away, he quickly arranged a new room for us and even provided a complimentary breakfast coupon for the inconvenience.

Parking lot was full. No late night food service. Breakfast was good

This hotel left a lot to be desired. We did appreciate the front desk attendant who assisted us in walking to a near by hotel for the duration of our stay. He was professional and assisted in rectifying a very disappointing situation discovered in our room accomodations. There were several disapointments with this specific property. Prior to our arrival we received a notice that our accommodations had been changed due to a shortage of rooms. Our room was changed to a king bed from 2 double beds. We were traveling with our 11 year old son which mentioned all 3 of us would have to sleep in the one bed. There was no couch provided in the room only a chair which my son was resorting to sleeping in. The hotel was very dated, appeared dirty, and the rooms were the smallest I have ever seen for a Marriott.. After checking in we decided to go down to the Rocks restaurant to grab a bite to eat and watch the Braves game. We were in town for the weekend to see the Braves play on Saturday. Much to our disappointment the hotel did not even get the Braves game. How can a hotel pride themselves on the "hotel of the Braves" when guests can't even watch the game in the lounge. Staff advised they didn't get those channels. Once we finished our meals and returned to our room for the evening we pulled back the shits to the bed and there were blood stains on the sheets and pillow. This was immediately reported to the front desk. We were advised there were no additional rooms and they could not move our room. We then asked for someone to come change the linens at which point we were advised housekeeping has left for the evening. The only option was to pack our bags at midnight and move to another hotel. Which we did. The front desk attendant was very accommodating in assisting us in our transition to the Springhill Suites next door.we were very disappointed in this hotel and I would never stay here or recommend anyone to stay at this resort.

The Room The bad: Outdated, dark, beat up furniture, no bottled water in room, no fridge, no microwave. The good: Best water pressure of my life, clean and an absolute fantastic bed for a good nights sleep. Come on now - put a few small bottles of water in the room rather than "upon request" as I arrived at 2am from a delayed flight. I didn't get to try room service but based on the food that was provided during the conference, I'd order without hesitation. Conference/ballroom/lobby All positive here. Updated and polished. The food provided during the conference was EXCEPTIONAL! The Staff This swayed my overall experience - they absolutely have a fantastic team from maintance, to front desk to everyone working the event. This was a true pleasure. Housekeeping was fantastic as well. The Location Free shuttle every 20 or so minutes to/from the Battery and that was a perk. Close to fantastic restaurants, a bit far from the airport but no complaints here.

We were on the 5th floor in the rear wing. The roof was leaking into the room as well as the sliding glass doors. By the time we left, about 2 ft of the carpet was soaked.

Liked that there was an on sight sit down restaurant available for breakfast buffet and dinner. The hotel was conveniently located close to Truist park(walking distance). The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.

Proximity to the Atlanta Braves Stadium was extremely convenient. The outside of the property was well kept the swimming pool area is tucked away nicely for privacy and feels like a nice place to relax. The lobby restaurant and bar area were nice although hours are extremely limited. Beyond the first floor lobby and the outside areas the hotel itself feels a little dated dressed up with some paint. The rooms are very small for what you pay. Also I was charged several hundred dollars more for the room than what Booking.com showed. I would pay as a total price. I understand this is likely because it was a game day and the Braves were home. The online room service is a joke. I placed an order at 7 o’clock at night. Waited till 840 at night and went downstairs and was told oh it will probably be there soon. It never came and I was charged for it.

Good location to Truist Park. Bed was very comfortable. Size of the TV was nice. The faucet in the bathroom was loose. The shower floor was very slippery-a dangerous hazard for senior citizens. Complimentary coffee in the lobby would be nice. Seemed a bit understaffed in the bar area.

The room did not have a microwave which was major inconvenience. Also the mini fridge did not work and leaked.

The room itself was small but we only stayed one night for the savannah banana game . We got a double bed . But they didnt put on the listing u have to pay for parking and its 30.00 to park ur car per night and breakfast is 20.00 a person. Parking is for guest but they also had parking for the game which was 40.00. Other than that the place was nice and right near the park.
- 2/5
We were just there for the Savanah banana game so we didn’t use any amenities but the bed was awful. Halfway through the night I woke up and could barely move because the bed was so awful it hurt my back (I’m 32) also it’s just run down. Bathroom ceiling needs repairs. But it was clean and staff was nice

- 4/5
Our one complaint was, we took their shuttle to the game and we were left stranded when the game ran later than 10.30. We had to find our own way back to the hotel even though our shuttle driver had told us to call the hotel and someone would pick us up after 10:30. He said they wouldn't leave us stranded. Well, a $40 taxi drive plus tip. got us to the hotel. My husband complained at the desk and they gave us two tickets to the breakfast buffet to make up for it. It is an easy walk to the ball park, but my husband has health problems that prevents him from walking that much. We would stay at the hotel again, but adjust our plans for attending a ball game.

Also, the shuttle service to and from the hotel had us waiting for 40 minutes at the Battery after they said they were on the way before we gave up and walked back to the hotel.
- 3/5
The tub was full of hair and the vent in the bathroom was gross looking. Also we were so hot and miserable the entire time. The air conditioning doesn’t keep up. For the price the hotel was fine, but it has the vibe it peaked in 1995. Very dated.
- 5/5
This hotel's low score (7.8) concerned me, but given my experience with Marriott, I thought I would try it for one night. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the experience, so much so that I give it a "10." The hotel is aged, but clean. I saw literature in the room indicating that renovations are imminent, which is good. The fitness center is first rate although one of the stairmasters did not work. The biggest plus for the hotel is its staff. I found everyone I encountered (lobby, restaurant) to be friendly, courteous, and eager to help. Parking situation is a bit confusing for a first-time visitor; I would encourage the staff to explain the process clearly so that patrons are not stuck at the gate trying to exit, frustrating not just the person at the gate but those patrons stuck behind that person.

Hotel is old and not in great condition. Rooms weee pretty clean but sink wouldn’t drain and amenities were lacking. Especially for a 4 star hotel. We picked this hotel because of the outdoor pool and it was closed for maintenance with no warning or compensation. No free breakfast and exiting gate was a nightmare with multiple guests unable to get the gate to work properly.

The hotel was close, within walking distance, to the sports event venue in Atlanta GA we were attending. The front desk personnel were very nice and helpful. Previously, we stayed in an adjacent hotel to attend the baseball game(s). The amenities were superior and the rooms were more spacious - all for a considerably lower cost. There wasn't even a small refrigerator in our room and, on our final day, the lighting in the bathroom went out.

The breakfast was awful — there was never a buffet due to occupancy, and the room was completely horrible. It was full of mold stains, the shower had no pressure, the carpets were dirty, the room smelled bad, and the air conditioning made terrible noises because of how old it is. I will never return. A complete disappointment for a Marriott.

Smelled like marijuana as soon as you get walk into the lobby. The service at the Rocks restaurant and bar was slow. And the chairs in the restaurant were dirty with food particles and the fabric was matted down. The hotel is getting run down in general. And even worse they decided to use a gas powered leaf blower around the grounds at 12:30 a.m. for over an hour.

Definitely a much older property. It could use some updates. Ceiling looked like it had a leak at one point. The room had a humid and moisture damage feel and smell. The hot water didn't really work in the shower and the air conditioner was on its last leg, very loud. Other than those things it looked like it could've been a nice property at one time. The staff was very friendly and helpful I will say.

As for the staff, I had to call the property phone number in order to get in contact with someone for extra towels and when I go in contact with someone the towels never came. After almost an hour, I assumed they were busy with checkin for the concert, I went down to get the towels myself. I noticed at least 4 staff members standing at the desk, with no customers there.

Worst check in experience ever. We literally had to get ready in the lobby restroom since the room wasn’t ready yet. After surviving that uncomfortable experience we returned to the desk and was supposedly offered an upgrade probably because I mentioned reporting the inconvenience. Come to find out there wasn’t any changes to my stay. We were lied to, most likely to keep quiet. Multiple women had to get ready in the lobby bathroom like an high school gym class. Expected to pay full price and we didn’t have access to a room once we arrived. We won’t be returning to this hotel again. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was clean and comfortable. And quiet. It had a beautiful view from the balcony, but unfortunately, the balcony door would not open. The only other negative I would say would be the furniture was outdated. The bathroom looked like it had fresh tile and wallpaper. The water pressure was outstanding. I was there for two Braves games, and they had a shuttle that would take you and pick you up, but it was such a easy walk that I decided to walk instead. Next time in Atlanta, I will stay here again

Overall facility and room amenities below average for Marriott standard. No microwave, no room safe. Furniture/bed in room very old, scratched up. Very overpriced including very high rate for self park. I would rate this hotel in 2* category.

No vents in the bathroom. Play with the light switch so it will turn on. Cost 29.99 for parking daily on their property. No hot tub i was told it's in another building. JUST AWFUL ! Mildew smell on hallway.
- 3/5
It was an average room. There's was no fridge or microwave so couldn't have cold drinks in the room and no microwave to reheat leftovers. Bathroom was small and no a/c .
- 4/5
It was a good place to stay during the stray kids concert. It was undergoing aome renovatuons but still was a good stay. The only thing i had a concern with was the wet puddle near my suitcase due to the air conditioner
- 4/5
Check in was great, as usual.. check out? Totally different story. I’m sorry the girl at the counter when we checked out at 5:30 in the morning actually had to work. She had a nasty attitude and made it very clear she could care less about doing her job or anything at all.
- 5/5
Convenient place to stay- within walking distance of Truist Park but do offer a shuttle . In process of renovating - rooms were clean and nice
- 2/5
didn’t offer complimentary breakfast. the menu for the restaurant is so small. they charge 10$ for a delivery fee to your room. everything was expensive. i got a water bottle for 6 dollars. the water temperature was horrendous. it was either scalding hot or hot. no in between. rooms were outdated. only redeeming quality was the front staff and the cleaning staff.

Room was on the expensive side, despite having the bare minimum offerings. No fridge, microwave, or safe. My air conditioner mad an awful high pitched sound when turned on, possibly in need or servicing. Did have a balcony overlooking the pool, which was nice. Parking was an additional fee, and quite a high one, at $20 per night. “Late night” food options only available until 11pm. Otherwise, facility was clean and inviting, and staff were reasonably pleasant.

Customer service and the food was excellent

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean, concierge lounge was really great for breakfast, snacks and evening bites and the mobile key card was a great feature to have. Conveniently located near Truist allowing a brief walk to the stadium without needing to battle parking and traffic there. Definitely will consider another Marriott in the future!
- 2/5
The toilet seat and handle were broken, mice droppings in the bathroom under the sync, towels were rough and bed was very uncomfortable. Worst Marriott we have ever stayed in. Construction is understandable but does NOT excuse the quality of these rooms.

We always try to stay here for the ballgames between the Red Sox and Braves. It is perfect walking distance and you feel safe even after the game. The hotel has a great restaurant that serves a great breakfast buffet and dinner is offered as well. The food is of great quality and delicious. They also offer room service with the food that is available off their menu. The personal, from the desk clerks, servers in the bar/restaurant, cleaning personnel and managers are very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The rooms are in the process of being updated which it does need but the rooms are clean and comfortable. This is our hotel of choice every time we are in Atlanta for ballgames.
- 4/5
We enjoyed being close to the stadium this was our first time visiting and would recommend staying there if you’re going to catch a game.
- 4/5
I didn't like that they did not have a "FREE" breakfast or more than teh 1 pack of coffee available in the room. Coffee prices and prices for the breakfast buffet were far too high, especially when considering the cost of the rooms.
- 5/5
Efficient and ready for us. Very friendly

Went for Braves game. It is walking distance but we rode in an uber. They have the bicycle pickups available as well as shuttle bus

Paid for the deluxe double room. Did not get the room I paid for. The service was less than acceptable, definitely not up to Marriott standards! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else nor will I stay there again.
- 2/5
When i think of Marriott, i think of top notch. The staff was really nice and the lobby was great but when you get into the elevator and walk out, it felt like stepping out of a Time Machine. The popcorn ceiling, the outdated carpet, furniture, doors, and knobs. The ceiling in the bathroom was rusted looking possibly from a leak. The caulking was not neat. Wish i would’ve known about the renovations before booking but glad to know they are taking place soon. The hotel was near just about everything i needed.

Perfect location! We stayed here to go to the Braves game. There is a free shuttle that runs from 7am - 10:30pm. The customer service was amazing! If you don’t want to wait on the shuttle, the walk to the stadium is only about 5 minutes. There are several bars and restaurants within walking distance (right next to the stadium). The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely come back again!!
- 3/5
If you are looking for a place to sleep, it’s for you. This hotel is stuck in the 80’s! Stained ceiling tiles, chipped door facings, dirty carpet. No refrigerator in room. Full size beds. Coffee service in room was terrible! There isn’t free coffee in the lobby, and it is $5/cup for ah coffee. The staff are professional. Shuttle to and from the Braves was convenient!

Great stay for a braves game. Our best overnight experience yet! All of the staff wore jerseys on game day. There were cute balloons, a shuttle... Just overall great overnight stay for a braves fan!

The purpose of my trip was to attend a baseball game at The Truist Park. The location proved to be ideal. A brief 13-minute walk with ample guidance from officers ensured a safe pedestrian experience. The hotel lobby was well-appointed and the bar offered exceptional wings and pizza at a reasonable price. However, my stay on the 3rd floor was marred by a rundown and uncomfortably hot hallway. The room was smaller than anticipated and the bathroom lacked a clean appearance and proper ventilation. Unfortunately, I will not be returning due to concerns regarding cleanliness.

Everything was good unless the shower with poor performance, minimum water flow no pressure water at all
- 2/5
The lobby is nice but the rooms are really run down… entry doors and showers are very old and dated, our drawers in the room wouldn’t close just kept creaking open. It wasn’t the worst we’ve ever seen but definitely wasn’t great. We wouldn’t choose this hotel again. If you just need a place to crash and want to save money, this is an ok option, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here for vacation / leisure.
- 5/5
Overall a good experience. The day of our conference registration the systems were down requiring guest to wait in a longer line and complete manual check-in information. The problem was resolved by the next day. Outside of this, my room was clean, bed comfortable, and enjoyed my stay. There was a problem with getting out of the parking lot regarding payment at the gate. This was likely due to the systems issue at check-in. I was overcharged for parking which was disappointing. Otherwise, the hotel is within a few minutes of excellent restaurants and things to do for families, groups, etc.

Then he put us in a room that was not fully furnished. It was just a bed and a desk, the chair and side table was missing in the room. It looked like it was put barely put back together after being "renovated." We had to ask for a different room. I was very disappointed again and we asked to get a different room. Again, the front desk person was annoyed with us and reluctantly gave us a new room. The hotel was only 40% full, so it wasn't like there weren't other rooms available. Overall, I would never go back to that hotel with such a bad experience.

Quick travel for work. Location was perfect and walkable to my destination. Definitely a cross town trip which can be lengthened depending on traffic and time of day. Allow yourself some time to get to there and back. Hotel staff was nice and prompt. Had some issues with iron and television in room but staff was quick to respond. Hotel is definitely older and could use an update to match modern Marriott properties but had all the amenities I needed for a short stay. Restaurant/Bar down in lobby was convenient. Breakfast buffet in morning was great and wait staff was exceptional.

Expedia started the problem off badly. I had ordered one night I called Expedia to request an extra night instead of just adding another night they had a whole new booking which double charged me. Then getting original charge refunded was painful. Lots of problems. The “internet tv” never worked (Netflix, YouTube, pandora” and as far as apps that’s all that was even offered. For the price you pay very sub par service.
