    Our room didn't have a smoke detector battery that's unsafe . one of the staff was helpful when we first checked in 2nd day was a other man yelled at us asking for towels. i was going ask for my money back but me and my husband made it WORK .... breakfast food was a 0000000/10 .... Sausages wasn't DONE AT ALL ! if you not going cook the food right don't have HOT BREAKFAST !

    Couch bed still had a dirty fitted sheet on it with a comb and dirt found inside. The couch had stains all over it. Some of the hot breakfast food items were cold when being served. Hotel was close to the highway but there was definitely no sound deadening in the windows or wall.

    Room was ‘tired’. Nothing big, but multiple small things. Breakfast was the same each day- scrambled eggs and sausage. Maybe would have been ok if it was hot. Coffee was the worst I have had in a long time. Ended up going to McDonalds for our coffee. Staff did not seem to really care, almost as if we were an inconvenience. Had stayed there several years ago and thought it was better. We have family in the area so come in several times a year. Barring the other area hotels being booked up, doubt we will stay here again.

    We checked in late, as a one night sleep, during our traveling south vacation. The room had everything that was advertised but wasn't as new or clean as the pictures convey. Our one queen bed was so worn out that my wife slept in a hole and I did a balancing sleep on the edge of bed trying to not fall in the hole on top of her. We found a dollar and change on the window sill where the cleaning crew didn't bother to move the curtains. There were stains on the bed covers, crumbs left behind on the office chair and floor. Not my cup of tea and I won't ever return. Maybe, I'll avoid Quality Inn's all together. I feel bad for the front clerk, he seemed nice but this one night stay was a terrible experience.

    At check-in, the staff member was poorly groomed and seemed more focused on his phone call than assisting us. The elevators had a bad odor. In the room, the door latch didn’t work properly and the security lock appeared broken, as if it had been forced. Some lights were partially hanging from the ceiling, and the curtains were dripping. Overall, a very poor experience. I wasn’t expecting luxury; just a decent place and this fell far short.

Tried to talk to front desk but no one around. Horrible place. We will never stay here again. If we weren’t so tired, we would have left.

    Everything was just okay. Beds were comfy, but there were a couple water bugs and the place felt run down. The highway is so close so it’s loud, but that’s what you get. It needs serious upgrading though. The key cards intermittently work. And the elevator is so so so slow that I could have taken the stairs twice before the elevator would have gotten me where I needed. But it was just a quick stop for sleep, and therefore it was fine.

    The the fixtures in the bathroom, we’re extremely clean. The towels were very clean with no staining. I liked the wide staircase with the padded carpeting. The shocking reviews about roaches that I did not read until after I was already checked in for the night. There definitely were NO roaches. However, there was a sticky trap that caused alarm after reading the bad reviews. The trap was empty. It’s my assumption that a trap was provided by an exterminator company.

    The room was musty and the bathroom walls had visible mildew. Nobody came to clean. Also the biggest draw was the continental breakfast which is listed as starting at 6:30 am. It was not up by 6:45am when we left and we were really annoyed that there was no staff anywhere-- nobody at the front, nobody mobilizing the food, nobody. Front desk staff were constantly on their phones when they were at the desk.

    Cockroaches. Disgusting. It was our only option to stay at 1am after driving all day and we stayed to sleep for 4 hours but could barley do it as soon as we go into the hotel the front desk guy isn’t there and there’s a sign to call a number , we call it and then he comes out of a random room hair a mess like he just woke up . We get our keys quickly and head to our room, as soon as we open the door a moldy musty smell hits us in the face. We close the hotel door and there’s a massive cockroach on the door and it was like the room wasn’t cleaned before we got there there was fresh water stains on the nightstands I doubt the beds were clean. We got up and out of there as soon as we could

    Cons: elevator in need of service, tub/shower unusable (either scalding or ice cold), fridge doors were very dirty, furniture heavily worn/cracked, windows poorly insulated, baseboard area was peeling away.     The rooms are only cleaned every two days which we were not made aware of when I finally complained. They did send a maid, but she only made one of the beds. We did not receive any new towels, and when I went to the manager for towels, we could only find three. No hand towels no new wash racks The foyer area in our roomlooked dirty upon arriving. The pictures were very dirty. The beds were so soft that you sunk in them and had difficulty getting out. The bed frame had rusted metal bracket sticking out that I hit my leg on several times. The extra bracket to lock the door with was broken and hanging. The hotel does have a wonderful fresh smell when you enter the carpets throughout need cleaning. The elevator does not look like it's been cleaned in a very long time, the door opens incredibly slow and squeaks. It is also missing its service, inspection notice that's usually posted above the buttons my guess is it hasn't been serviced in a very long time, the bathroom, other than the floor did appear clean.

    Overall we did not have a good experience at our stay. There was trash left over in our room from previous people in the room. There was also a critter moving around in our room. When we went to the front desk to tell the about it we were told there was nothing they could do. The man at the front desk came up to check the room and barely looked around for anything. After he left we continued to hear what we believed to be a mouse from the partial views we got of it. The guy at the front desk told me he could compensate us for the issue. It was so bad we ended up leaving and now staying our second night. We informed the desk and we were told because we booked through Expedia that we had to get ahold of them in order to receive compensation back. When I called them and the team at Expedia got ahold of the hotel they claimed nothing happened and that they were going to uphold their cancellation policy so I would not be receiving any money back at all. Outside of that the people that were on our floor were constantly screaming and moving between each others rooms. Amongst the screaming they also had their hotel doors wide open and were showering and just wandering the halls. A small inconvenience outside of the major ones we experienced here the gym is about the size of a bathroom with approximately 3 pieces of actual equipment. However, that was not the big issue here, just a minor inconvenience. Overall this experience was terrible and we will never be staying here again.

    Breakfast wasn't great best thing about it was the waffle makers. Falsely advertised as a smoke free property but the first room offered to me upon check in smelled like cigarettes, it was luckily switched to another one that was better but if the hotel didnt have anymore rooms i would have had to stay somewhere else. Toilet in the room didn't flush. Noise from the I-95 on is very noticeable for rooms on the highway side. Stayed here for a soccer tournament we didnt spend much time at the hotel we just came back to sleep, it would have probably been a worse experience if we spent more time at the hotel but you get what you pay for.

    Called 2 days ahead of stay to request connected rooms. Was told that was fine and was assured rooms would be connected. Arrived and was given 2 rooms, each at opposite ends of the hall I had young kids with my husband and I so family had to be split. Asked for blankets for pullout couch. Was given 2 sheets. I asked for a blanket and was told the sheet works very well to keep warm. Milk was spoiled for cereal on the breakfast bar. Horrible. I'm sending email to corporate and requesting full refund for both rooms.

    room was not clean, actually saw a couple of small bugs crawling around. Had to ask for towels, only 1 in the room. Shower was a trickle of water with a handheld shower head with no mount. Right by the highway and sounded like the window was open.

    We’ve stayed in this hotel a few times in the last couple years because it is near a restaurant we love to eat at when we are in the area. However, this will be the last time as it has gotten progressively worse each time. Found out at check in that the elevator was not working. Definitely not ideal when one person has a foot injury and another has arthritic knees. The exit door closest to the stairs was being propped open with a rock. That didn’t seem very secure so I kicked it away so the door could close. Turns out it was that way because the key card entry didn't work. Had to walk around to the front to get back in. The second floor where our room was located smelled horribly of pot. Or maybe someone had a skunk masquerading as a dog. Thankfully, it was just the hallway and not also in the room. Check-in was easy, the pet fee can’t be beat, the beds and pillows are reasonably comfortable, and breakfast is what you would typically expect.

    And all my years of traveling, this was one of the worst hotels first, let me stop by the first room that they gave us was dirty. That air heating unit had mowed on it. There was a mouse trap underneath of the bed when I looked at the mouse trap and saw the bed mattress on the side of it. It had stains, which made me look at the mattress itself. I can’t believe they left that mattress in that room. It needed to be disposed of by hazmat. The elevators was broken so we had to take the stairway which the stairway has so many watches of bugs in it from spiders to bees to the fake ladybugs. I have pictures of this to prove it this place is so disgusting. It should have -5. The health inspectors need to go look at this place.

    Got to the property at 330am, tired and just wanted sleep. We had accommodations for a king suite for two nights. Opened the door to the room and it was musty. As I was checking the filters for the hvac (they were clogged and filthy) I heard my partner exclaim he just killed a bug and the toilet wouldn’t flush it, just kept swirling water. I went into the bathroom to investigate and another cockroach came running towards the wall. We grabbed our belongings and went back to the front desk where he advised us that was the only room left and we had no other choice for a room there. The only good thing about this property is how quickly they refunded our money and I thank hotels.com for that. Quality inn will NEVER get my business

    I've been waiting to write this review. Parking was the only good part about this place. As soon as we checked in and paid, the front desk told us that we would be on the 3rd floor and that the elevator was broken. We had multiple suitcases and a full cooler. I asked for another room on literally any other floor and he said there were no other rooms. Mind you, the parking lot was empty and we checked in around 330. Insane. So we had to haul our bags up 3 floors. The hotel room was disgusting. The bathroom was moldy. There was a ring around the toilet and there was mold on the curtain above the ac unit. I didnt even want to sit on the bed. There was old rice on the chair to the desk and there wasn't even a latch on the door! It smelled old and musty. I will never stay here again.

In the 10 times we’ve stayed here, the dog has never gone to the bathroom in the room. We went to check in today and they had canceled our reservation because of the dog poop. And told us we couldn’t come back. The maids here will lie or make up things about each guest. And there’s no telling if they try and lie to get you to pay for something that’s already messed up in this hotel. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Especially if you travel with pets.

    The whole hotel smelled like mold. The front desk man Ali was super nice but every room he showed us smelled absolutely terrible. We did not stay more than 20 minutes and went to a different hotel down the street.

Second one had heavy musty and mold smell, mold around tub area (took photos) carpet spits wrippened off, stained sofa and window screen out of shape as if someone tried to break in in this ground floor unit. A/c also was smelli g out. Couldn't afford to loose my money if i went to another hotel so i made the bedt of it. Told the clerk.on my way out.

    When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk earlier that day the manager called to see if I was still coming or else he was going to cancel my reservation because he stated that the night before there was many reservations and no one canceled, but there was a lot of rooms that people didn’t show up to that had nothing to do with me. I will call the manager and he told me that check-in would be 30 minutes which I couldn’t understand if there were rooms that wasn’t occupied then I should’ve been able to check in right away. The elevator was broke and it seemed that he was purposely putting people on the third and second floor. I chose the second floor because I couldn’t walk up a lot of steps. Once in the room, you need air freshener because it smelled mildewy. The bathroom was clean in the bed was comfortable.

    Unfortunately there were more cons than pros. It sits right beside 95 so lots of car nose, water pressure is bad, carpet and area didn’t look vacuumed or dusted, room smelled moldy, elevator not working and we were on the 2nd floor. I won’t be staying at this hotel again. The only convience was it was near Kings Dominion, breakfast was decent and breakfast area was clean.

    My stay was horrible I didn’t find out that the elevator was “out of order” until after I signed for my room the stairwell was super hot and I have knee issues my room smelled of mildew so I let the air run and that did not good the water pressure was super low in my room I had no mirror my room door did not close all the way good thing I had to leave right back out cause someone could have just cam in my room I made the front desk aware of all these complaints and was told nothing can be done the day of check out the elevator conveniently started working

    This is a renovated property. The elevator has been not in service for about 2-3 weeks (my boyfriend travels and had stayed here 2weeks ago). The vending machines on the second floor did not work. The vending machines on the 3rd floor took my money and didn’t give me what I wanted so we had to go down to the desk and get the money back. I will not be coming back here, if ever in Ashland again I will be booking somewhere else.

    I liked the location; it was close to the area we had to travel to. What I didn't like was the molded curtains, the room smelled like the carpet was flooded before, the beds had red stains on both the mattress. During morning breakfast, we saw two roaches.

    The pictures of the hotel were deceiving. The elevator needed repair/improvements. The door to our room was hard to close, and the bathroom was tiny, dated, and didn’t have a hand-rail or anything. There was mildew around the bathtub grout. The room was a food size, but it smelled of mildew/dampness. There was a vending machine with water and sodas, but it required bills and change, but it didn’t work properly. To top it off, the front desk didn't have change. The person at the front desk didn’t even come all the way out of the office for checkout when we left - he just said to leave the keycard on the counter.

    Overall was a quick and easy check in and out. AC was subpar at best, and barely squeaked out. They had it turned off and when we arrived it was a sweat box which took awhile to cool the whole room down.     The room had a putrid smell of mold which made my sleep very uncomfortable. The room was close to the high way approximately 20 meters but majority was the problem was the window, it was open our whole night and we couldn’t do nothing about it.     I went to check in and no one was in the office. They posted a phone number to call. I called it 3 times. No answer. I walked over to the breakfast area and someone started yelling at me. I said I’m trying to check in and they continue to scream and be very rude. So I left and cancelled my reservation. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

    Terrible hotel. Toilet ran the whole time even after asking front desk to address problem with maintenance. Furniture was very old and worn. Everything felt old and dilapidated. Towels smelled like bleach. Our door was slightly bent so locking it was difficult. The bathroom door couldn’t be closed all the way because the frame was bent. The whole place smelled bad.

    We walked into the hotel and immediately smelled the weed. The elevator sounded like it was about to break down. We walked into our room and it smelled of mildew, the sheets were very dirty as seen in the pictures, and the entire hotel was in very poor condition. After looking at the pictures I thought this would be a nice, new hotel, but it was not. The toilet overflowed after flushing into the floor and ran into the room and hallway before stopping. I tried to get moved into a different room but they claimed they were sold out of rooms even though the parking lot was not full. They said they would give us a $40 refund for our trouble, did not receive it. None of the staff could speak very good English and the housekeeping staff could not speak English at all. The door to the parking lot was left open at all hours of the night to make it very unsafe as well. Just overall very disappointing.

    1. Bad smell in the lobby and my room. 2. They were upset when I asked for two pillows to use the sofa bed. 3. The main door was in poor condition. 4. No water pressure in the bathroom. 5. The bed frame was covered in dust. 6. Stained sofa bed cushions. 7. Uncomfortable and worn mattress on the sofa. 8. I went to check out and no one was there to be in their room. 9. Breakfast was the same both days. 10. Old curtains that let in light. 11. Too much noise from cars on the side they assigned me when I told them I didn't want noise and they wouldn't put me on the opposite side. 12. I definitely wouldn't return with a coarse button.

    When I got to my room, it was less than desirable, bathroom floor had some sort of dirt that I couldn’t identify, the spigot in the shower there’s a space between it and the wall with a big hole for pipe, water was getting into it. The bed I checked for bedbugs, did not see any, however, at the head of the bed on the side closest to the window, really nasty stain however, it didn’t smell or anything. The mattress seemed a little old and dingy couch had brown stain on one cushions. Ran to Walmart and got sanitizing wipes and wiped down all surfaces. Window frame broken, could hear all highway traffic. There are stains on the carpet. Food area not great food and joined by a little cockroach! They really cut corners when they refurbished the building.

    My stay at this location was horrible. I had to look at five different rooms. Just to find the best room to stay in. And the room that I stayed in still wasn’t in good standing. The rooms were dirty. I even seen dead flies on the windowsill in one room. One room refrigerator didn’t work. The room that I stayed in the shower/bath spout was coming out of the wall. My sheets and blankets were dingy and has stains. When I asked for different blankets, the staff told me that the facility only have one set of blankets for each room, so I cannot even exchange the blanket that has stains on it for a different blanket. I was forced to use a blanket with stains. I will not stay at this location again in the future. And would not recommend it to anyone.

    This hotel is very convenient off the highway. It allows pets. Condition of rooms - they need some attention... draperies were falling off, the spout in the tub was a half inch off the wall, and in general was dated. I will say they were very accommodating when we asked to be on the other side of the hotel as the side near I95 was very loud. Hot breakfast was great.

    There were roaches in the bathroom! The bedspread had stains. The pillowcase had blood, as if someone had a nose bleed and they didnt't replace it. Previous guest had removed smoke detector from the wall, presumably to smoke in the room, smell was noticeable.
