Very nice rooms! They have little dog bowls and a bed for the fur babies. Nice staff as well Clarissa is a gem.
- 4/5
The Help Desk staff was friendly and helpful during check-in and with answering questions about “missing” knife from knife set and instructions for TV. The room was clean overall with new utensils for the kitchen and blackout curtains. However, the lack of sufficient indoor lighting made the place feel like a cave even on sunny days. One concern was the number of flying insects hidden in the front curtains and one on one of the beds. When we killed it, it seemed bloated with what looked like blood. The staff indicated that during late spring, they have many such insects in the surrounding vegetation, which she thought were June bugs. We searched for June bugs online and none matched the insect we had caught. Also, the room had inadequate connections for laptops and mobile phones; there was only one such station on the nightstand versus desk or near kitchen table.

Location A little noisy
- 4/5
The hotel was fine for the price. The bed was very comfortable with a firm mattress. our stay was very brief. We just slept there.
- 4/5
Clean room with a comfortable bed. Hard to read or sit up in bed because it kept rolling from the wall. Staff was absent a lot, due to something. I get there are things that come up, but please stock the rooms with extra coffee, etc if you are not going to be there. Other than the coffee it was a good stay. I would stay again and recommend. It was pretty quiet and we slept well both nights.

had a nice stay in Ashland. would recommend
- 4.5/5
Nice location. Comfy beds with lots of pillows. Fridge and a microwave Ice machine was really loud and barely made ice. $30 fee for my dog which was almost 30% more for the room.
- 4/5
TV sound was too heavy on bass and could not change. If we were in a room next to ours that would have been hard to take.
- 5/5
Lovely property. Right next to People's choice market which has a huge variety of deli foods for breakfast lunch and dinner as well as a full grocery store of great food!
- 4/5
Convenient location with many restaurants nearby. The bathtub is too old and should be replaced
- 4.5/5
It was very close to restaurants and stores. Very quiet and relaxing It was kinda hard to find dew to G G.P.S

My mother and daughter stayed for the Shakespeare festival. The staff helped me make their stay in checkin simple and easy. They loved the room. Definitely will be seeking lodging here in the future.
- 3/5
Good location about 8 minutes from downtown.
- 2/5
Nice tv. Not enough towels. Shower head worn out, leaked, it got the floor very wet. Toilet didn't flush right , worn out! Bathtub needed resurfacing. Looked horrible
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was great, rooms are renovated.

Room was very clean and in a great location.

The basic bed and bath with minimal decor but good heat/cool, clean everything, friendly and helpful staff and located next to the best deli (Market of Choice) and best coffee place (Remix) in Ashland. And the lowest price in town. Walk your dog a block to pet-welcoming Remix at 7am for mocha and croissant then pick up lunch (hot, cold, sandwich, soup etc.) at Market of Choice. And you're on your way...then you'll return to your comfortable room for the night and repeat for as long as you stay. Highly recommend to those like me who find cushy superfluous nonsense unnecessary.
- 4/5
very good location; pet friendly, helpful staff
- 5/5
Clean and everything I needed
- 4/5
Really nice, and helpful owner/manager. Very upscale looking and newish feel. I'd stay there again.

- 5/5
This was such a cute retro hotel. Perfect for a one night stop. It had the best pizza place right next door and a grocery store within walking distance. We had our dog and they had a perfect little dog area too right outside of the animal friendly room.
- 5/5
Very welcoming for dog. Even had dog bowls and padded dog bed in the room. And a little fenced dog area outside of door.
- 4/5
This is a classic motel which offers very good value and is in a very convenient location neat almost everything that Ashland has to offer.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 4/5
It’s a good place to stay for a while. Right across the street from the Amtrak bus.
- 3/5
the bed gave me the creeps. itchy sheets. uncomfortable. didn't like it.
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean. Good price!
- 5/5
No frills. Very good price.

Room clean, adequate amount of towels, etc. Quiet.

I stay in Ashland often, my daughter plays sports for the University. This place is great for a quick overnight stay with a great proximity to the University and a really great price. It’s clean. Other popular budget motels in the area are not nearly as clean. The bed was comfortable. There is no breakfast, but for the price I wouldn’t expect that. I never met the front desk clerk as I checked in after 8 pm. However; Clarissa called me and explained the late check in process and emailed me as well. The parking lot is tight, but there was room. My only complaint was that the walls are pretty thin. I could hear people awake showering extremely early in the morning and could even hear the man in the room next store snoring. Again, for the price, I was ok with it. I will definitely be back the next 4 years watching my daughter play. This was a win in my book.
- 4/5
Hard to figure out the heating. Does the baseboard heater work?
- 4/5
Overall a lovely place to stay. Ideal for checking out SOU and close to downtown. Parking was a bit difficult - we always got a spot, but not in the actual parking lot by the rooms. And our mattress was real firm. But it was all totally fine and the hotel is affordable and well-located.
- 5/5
Very clean!
- 5/5
Excellent area.
- 4/5
I love this place. Excellent location and large clean rooms.
- 3/5
We had a pet room, smell of cat urine. The people above us were very load. It sounded like they were moving the furniture until midnight.
- 5/5
Excellent rooms very clean and quiet. Close to restaurants and walking distance to the college. The price is more than reasonable. This summer I will be using there pool ! My father is in a facility in Ashland and I have stayed here many times and will return next month.
- 5/5
Clean and cozy. Great price. Warm staff. We will cone back!
- 4/5
I will stay again in the future!
- 4/5
Very responsive service. Great price.
- 5/5
Cute, clean room. The staff was great!
- 5/5
Yes and yes
- 5/5
They do allow pets. I was in a non-pet room without a pet. The room was really clean. Everything in the room is well taken care of and cleaned the fridge the microwave all of it they clean the tub the toilet, the counters really well the decor and the paint job was offset and very pretty, and they even have art in the room
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Courteous staff. Room was clean, and nice and hot for the winter cold outside. Plus, it's right next door to a great little pizza place!
- 2/5
TV was on a low table which made it impossible to watch while laying in bed, and the cable was disconnected. We pla ed the TV on the ironing board then placed that on the low table. Will not recommend this place or stay again.
- 5/5
owner/manager very responsive to questions about mattress suitability for my needs.
- 5/5
Room very good and vintage 70s style.
- 3/5
Squeaky bed, no sound insulation in the lower unit, could hear every cough and footstep from above. Clean and comfortable enough for the price.
- 3/5
Loud next door, almost like there isn’t insulation
- 5/5
Room was clean, quiet and nicely arranged. Easy walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. Would recommend!
- 4/5
it was good stay
- 5/5
Clean, well maintained, at a great price and location.
- 5/5
Great spot! Friendly staff, clean room, great pizza next door.
- 4/5
It was a great overall experience and we liked the accessibility to main Ashland. Comfy bed, nice shower.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice.
- 4/5
location was perfect. We walked to what we needed the entire time we were there. Room was clean and loved that room was not cleaned though we stayed two nights - safe water and costs. The door however would not close quietly unless key was used to move the "bolt". One of our keys did not work well, but we made it all OK. We did not say anything to office staff, though we would have when we checked out, but office didn't open until after we needed to be somewhere. All is well. If in the area again, we would stay here again and would recommend it.
- 5/5
We rated the room excellent because it was exceptionally clean, nicely decorated and comfortable! The place was quiet and a very convenient location too. We were quite impressed and happy to end our 2-week traveling time in a super well maintained environment.
- 5/5
Nice, place for the price. Staff was very friendly. Got real coffee mugs, not just paper cups.
- 4/5
Room was very clean and staff really super nice and helpful
- 4/5
Clean simple rooms.
- 5/5
I look forward to coming back next year!
- 5/5
Very pet friendly. Room had dog bed and food dishes in it. Large room with coffee pot, microwave and small refrigerator. Very nice.
- 4/5
We always stay here on our way down to Mexico. Let ve almost everything but the fan noise was off and on and very loud. Finally had to just turn the unit off in order to sleep.
- 4/5
Solid place to stay for the price. Great location.
- 5/5
Very clean room. Convenient location. Comfortable bed. Quiet.
- 5/5
Great room. Walking distance to downtown, without being too close.
- 5/5
Nicely updated property.
- 5/5
super friendly staff
- 4/5
Clean room & staff
- 5/5
Clean convenient comfortable…half the price of “chain motels” and way nicer
- 4/5
Totally met our road trip needs.
- 5/5
Staff were very helpful!
- 4/5
The staff was always friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Staff were incredibly welcoming, and the room was very nice.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Basic 2 star hotel, very good location, conveniently located next to a supermarket
- 3/5
We booked 1queen and 1 full bed.. We did not get that. The registration person gave us a double full twice. It’s strange to not know what your rooms have. No discount was offered.more of a give them a run around and they’ll go away attitude. It’s too bad. Everything else was great. Back rooms smell like take out. Glad we didn’t stay in that part.
- 4/5
Very basic room, but it’s affordable for the area, and super close to SOU. Market of Choice and a great little pizza place surround the motel, so if you need any late night goodies, you’re all set. Bed was comfy/firm. I wouldn’t say I felt the safest ever when I went alone to the car to grab something at night, but it wasn’t sketchy either…kinda middle ground. This is our second stay and we’d stay here again.
- 3/5
I had a pleasant stay for one evening, however, due to the noise in the unit next to me, I was unable to sleep and woken many times during the night. I believe they were running their air unit all night which was very loud. Also, when I took a shower the water presure would decrease tremendously if anyone else was using the shower in another unit. Other than that, for the price it was fine for one night.
- 4/5
Would definitely return.
- 5/5
3 girlfriends went to see a play and enjoy the city,
- 5/5
Hotel was at a great location, staff was excellent, they took care of the one need I had immediately and were very friendly. The facility was very dog friendly and the area had excellent streets to go for a walk.
- 5/5
This is an older hotel but the rooms and furnishings are comfortable and the staff is great. It's not far from downtown. We stay here whenever we're in town.
- 4/5
Very nice room with no surprises. Would stay here again!
- 2/5
Air Conditioner had broken buttons and we couldn’t control fan. It was over 100 outside when we were there. It was cool in the room when we arrived. Had to unplug it at night because it wouldn’t shut off. Bed was a bit lumpy and pillows were tiny and just foam. I was hoping to swim but pool was about 8feet by 10feet and right next to a busy road.
- 4/5
Hotel shows its age, but was clean and bed comfortable. Only weird thing is that when bathroom door is open it blocks sink and vanity. TV was placed on furniture and was a little low if you were hoping to watch in bed. There was a disclaimer specifying that if towels got “too” dirty, you’d have to pay for them. Coffee maker brewed coffee but temperature was lukewarm at best.
- 5/5
Nice, clean mot. Close to everything
- 4/5
All ok !
- 4/5
Late check in can be a problem
- 5/5
Timbers Inn is a great place to stay, with clea, quiet rooms and a pleasant and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and affordable. Very accommodating of our late arrival. Loved having the Great American Pizza Co as a ready option right next to the hotel when we arrived. Easy to get essentials at the Market of Choice directly behind the hotel.
- 5/5
Great spot for the price, very friendly staff and very convenient location!
- 5/5
It was very clean and comfortable
- 4/5
Booked 2 rooms with 6 beds. Perfect for our party of 4 adults and 6 kids except that they were not adjoining. Dated but clean. Lots of eating places around. Grateful to find this place at the last minute.
- 5/5
Whether you're a dog owner or not, the place is nice and clean. It's in the heart of town next to Southern Oregon State University. I have a little dog, a beagle, and the place was very quiet. The walls are so thick that you really don't hear anybody around you. The staff is very nice and doesn't bother you. So, with that decent price, it's hard to get better than this.
- 5/5
The manager/host was charming and competent.
- 4/5
We hope the pool is open next visit.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Great customer service. Room was very clean. Location was easy to find.
- 5/5
Parking was limited, so when we returned late after seeing a play, all spaces were taken and we had to park at a nearby restaurant. It wasn’t a big issue for us. I would be happy to return.
- 4/5
I have stayed at the Timbers multiple times over the last 10 years. I like the convenient location and access to lots of stores/restaurants. The room itself was nice and clean but the light bulbs were burned out in the bathroom. It was super hot in Ashland but the pool was closed, so that was disappointing. The ice machine was broken, also a disappointment. The young woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful. However, I went into the office a few times, rang the bell and no one ever came into the office. Perhaps more staffing in the office is necessary? I do miss the free breakfast and coffee station that used to be available.
- 4/5
A lot of noise especially the room above.
- 5/5
Great people!
- 3/5
The room small but very clean . Air conditioner nose, door sticks.
- 5/5
Other than ice machines not working, the place was quite decent.
- 5/5
Kristen is awesome! She worked with me on extending my stay and made my time here very special. She's a treasure!!!
- 5/5
Very nicely renovated - great location and great staff
- 5/5
We traveled to Ashland to attend SOU graduation. This location was a 5 minute walk from the ceremony. The new management provided exceptional service and support.
- 5/5
Just what I needed! Super friendly, affordable, easy to find, I could see my car from my room.. After an epically horrid, sleepless night at Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites (hop over to their site if you wanna read my review), the Timbers hotel offered me the clean, super smooth check-in (w/ yummy snacks that were cheap=double bonus!), easily accessible, cozy beds, and friendly staff, which was just what I needed.. I would recommend to family/friends looking for a quick stop over that is centrally located and easy to access all of Ashland!
- 5/5
First time back since new ownership and the place looks great. The bed was comfortable and the front desk was helpful. The only concern was the front door had to be shoved hard to close.
- 4/5
Good, disappointed pool was not available. Plug beside bed wired to main light switch (so charger turned off when you turned off room light).
- 4/5
A bit dated and could use a little deep cleaning. But good enough for a late overnight stay during a road trip 👍
- 4/5
The room is very clean and comes with toiletries, but pool is closed for the stay. We checked in late and the parking lot was already full with limited property parking. Very nice and attentive front desk.
- 3/5
Bathtub is clogged due to a lot of hair after I cleaned it then water draining faster.
- 5/5
We had a brief stay but the room was just what we needed and the staff were incredible and so accommodating!
- 5/5
Really nice staff hotel is simple but immaculately clean and in a great location. Perfect for one night stay. Great value.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. We could tell there have been some improvements were recently made. Our only regret was the swimming pool was not ready during the heatwave occurring on our arrival.
- 4/5
I was there with my son for a football camp at Southern Oregon University. The campus was located directly across the street. The entire area was safe, and walkable.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable place to stay for the night and the value. Added touches for my dog made us feel welcomed. I would stay again.
- 5/5
We always love stopping in Ashland on our way to Portland. We started staying at Timbers because we had a dog but he has passed. We keep coming because it’s clean, quiet, close to everything.
- 5/5
I was here in Ashland for a quick business trip. The Timbers Inn did what I needed was a place to rest and sleep. Great grocery store next door for quick eats. There are a couple restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel.
- 5/5
Convenient location for my travel purposes and central to the town restaurants and activities
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, checking in personnel was very courteous and friendly, beds were comfortable.
- 3/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. But this property is in poor condition! Very thin walls , I had to listen to the guy in the next room snore all night. Good looking location for SOU.
- 5/5
Price was right!
- 4/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff
- 5/5
It’s a great motel - convenient location, clean room and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff at check-in! Above and beyond! Thanks so much!!
- 5/5
Like the ability to walk where I need to go for the college sports and dining. Beautiful and adorable. Love it
- 5/5
It was so convenient. Across the street from Southern Oregon University.
- 5/5
Such nice ppl and cute spot
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Great room at a good price the inn was well kept and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had a wonderful experience
- 5/5
Super friendly lady at front desk. Small, clean, well maintained property that had everything we were looking for in a quick overnite stay in Ashland.
- 2/5
Location seemed okay. The rooms and furniture in them etc. seemed very rundown. I'd stayed here many times over the years but not in about 8 years. It used to be very cute and quaint. Now the rooms are very run down and are a real disappointment. Would not stay again.
- 5/5
The Timbers has been my go-to for Bay Area trip stopovers and Shakespeare fest visits. Updated, very clean, quiet, convenient area with lots of restaurants, markets nearby!
- 1/5
The room was freezing. No space. Outlet fried my i phone. It was sizzling plugging coffee pot into. Looks like a fire danger. No parking
- 5/5
MY STAY HERE WAS WONDERFUL. EASY CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT AND PEOPLE AT THE DESK WERE VERY HELPFUL!
- 4/5
A very pleasant stay
- 1/5
There is not enough parking they have more rooms then they do parking
- 4/5
This hotel has great touches for dogs. We loved that. A dog bed, set of food and water bowls and a small dog park. Close to bike and walking path and very convenient to SOU campus.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly/courteous staff.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay here . Was highly recommended by friends who come here often when travelling through Oregon. Staff friendly, most accommodating for our every need. Pizza restaurant next door was excellent and although we ate in our room looked very nice for dining in. Price was most reasonable room very clean set up nicely . Highly recommend staying here . We have stayed in various hotels over the years in Ashland. Timber Inn is where we will for sure return next time!! Thankyou
- 3/5
The only downfall is you can hear everyone in the other rooms, walls are super thin, I could hear the man in the next room snoring. The beds are small but comfy, pillows are really comfy. The bathtub had hair in it, and the shower curtain had hair on it. The floor was clean, WiFi worked great and lady who checked us in was super friendly and nice. Overall, it is a good spot, you just hear everything in the other rooms and people outside. The power did go out due to the snowstorm. Room was cold while we waited that out. I would stay here again as price is fair, and again the lady who checked us in was so dang nice.
- 3/5
The room itself was wonderful. Super comfortable bed, clean, good water pressure in the shower and truely warm water for the shower. Check in was super easy. If we had come any other day, I would have offered a 5 star review. We came during a surprise snowstorm however, and apparently no one owns a snow shovel. We could not pull into the parking lot because snow was blocking the entrance. We had to park behind the motel and walk with all of our luggage through 4-6 inches of snow on paths that had not been shoveled. And as someone with a mobility disability, I was not pleased. In summary: nice room, but don't come during a snowstorm.
- 5/5
Cute spot!
- 4/5
Was able to find a room with 3 beds! Our troupe of artists will stay there again!
- 4/5
Close to a grocery store
- 2/5
The pizza place across the hotel was awsome. Our bed was very uncomfortable. People above us and next door kept slamming doors throughout the night. Heard people yelling. Front desk service not very friendly at all.
- 5/5
So good! Right next to an AMAZING pizza place!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
No heat at the end of November. Will never stay at Timbers again.
- 5/5
So pleased to find a room with3 beds for our family of 5. Easy check in.
- 4/5
Very cozy spot with friendly personnel. Clean room, comfortable beds. Microwave, fridge, tv & coffee bar available.
- 5/5
For the price, everything was excellent: a clean room, hot water, and a working heater. Thank you!
- 5/5
We enjoyed staying there. Very friendly staff
- 3/5
It was a little run down needs some little things new microwave proper plugs for the bathtub.. The lady was that checked me in was very sweet. Hard to find it
- 4/5
An older hotel but very comfortable
- 3/5
It was what i expected. I slept well.
- 5/5
Met with a gracious smile and additude, and it just got better. Clean, comfortable, and reasonable price
- 4/5
Room was clean, well sound proofed, staff helpful (Blanca) moved our room from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor, mini-frig had a constant humming, good location close to main street and the CA-NV border.
- 5/5
Cute, comfortable stay close to downtown Ashland!
- 5/5
Great time!
- 3/5
It was clean but the beds were like sleeping on the floor
- 4/5
I had a great stay and appreciate the clean room and friendly service. Two restaurants to choose from a short distance away.
- 4/5
Clean basic motel.
