Reviews
The Stratford Inn is a convenient and comfortable stay for visitors to Ashland, with a friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown and Lithia Park, with plenty of dining options nearby. However, some guests have noted that the rooms can be noisy and the hotel could use some updating.

This was the cleanest and most comfortable hotel we’ve stayed in for ages. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Awesome continental breakfast
- 3/5
Good location, decent small breakfast, nice bed, bring your wall adapter and cell charger, coffee is weak in breakfast room, Safeway across the street, small TV, non functioning AC
- 5/5
Clean room,friendly staff
- 2/5
Good location. Outdated property. Does not compare to all the new brands in its star category
- 4/5
Perfect location to explore lithia park, Shakespeare theater, Pickleball, restaurants, and shopping. We could walk to all of them. Wonderful
- 5/5
IDEAL LOCATION! A bit aged but any wear and tear is negated by such a friendly staff. Continental breakfast is excellent.
- 5/5
Awesome place - it's got character! The staff is super friendly and the location is ideal in Ashland.
- 5/5
A bit old but extremely well maintained. Very pleasant stay and highly recommend.
- 5/5
Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, large room, all good.
- 4/5
Staff very helpful, pool and hot tub stay opened till later. Very good breakfast. Bed a little bit too soft, TV only had one channel. Plenty of parking, close to downtown. Overall, I would stay again.
- 5/5
I really liked this hotel. It was clean and charming, and close to restaurants and the Shakespeare festival. The pool was nice and heated (I don’t like a cold pool) and the breakfast was really filling. I will stay here again!
- 5/5
Love the scene
- 5/5
Indoor pool
- 5/5
Walking distance to OSF
- 5/5
This hotel has parking and is close enough to walk to the plays.
- 5/5
Lovely place to stay close to downtown
- 5/5
I felt very comfortable here. I typically do not enjoy staying at hotels, I am always worried about cleanliness. I would usually choose camping over a hotel for that reason. We had to stay at a hotel this time and I was pretty nervous. As soon as we got in the room I stopped worrying. It was clean and I slept so well.
- 5/5
It's time to exchange the mattresses. Mine was quite lumpy and painful. I struggled getting comfortable.
- 3/5
The building is old so you hear everything in the hallway and the creaking and walking from the upstairs rooms.
- 5/5
Very quaint and super clean Hotel. They offer continental breakfast in the morning. Everything feels very safe in the area. The owner obviously cares about the hotel and it is well maintained.
- 5/5
Breakfast was simple but thoughtful with juices, fruit, yogurts, toppings, cold cereals, non-package cooked oatmeal, boiled eggs and various breads and muffins including a GF option. Tea and coffee were available at all times. And, a large dragon roared at the children much to their delight! We also soaked in the small but well-heated hot tub (attached go the indoor pool) with plentiful pool towels. I hope to return soon to be able to take in a few plays!
- 4/5
Good location, helpful staff When taking a shower bathtub bottom was very slippery. Rubber mat would help. Breakfast not great
- 4/5
Breakfast was great! Location convenient.
- 5/5
Exceptional motel in this day and age!!! Location very conveniently located to downtown for walking. Exceptional clean, building and grounds well maintained. Loved the old fashioned key for room entry, massage chairs in room and salt water pool. Just lovely!!
- 5/5
BUT- this place is great! The indoor pool and hot tub are open until 1 AM! They have pool towels in their atrium area. Real keys for the rooms! Cozy space. Clean. Windows opened for fresh air! Was a great location and short walk to downtown shops and restaurants.
- 4/5
Nice place in great location. Think it deserves more than 2.5 stars!
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, great stay!
- 5/5
Wish they had some meat for breakfast.
- 4.5/5
Location and size of room Breakfast and a little outdated
- 2/5
Hotel was OK. Dated and showing age. No real theme or style. We got an ADA room for some reason???. It was a dark and dingy room. The AC was the worst, ran in cycles from off to sounding like a lawn mower running right next to us. The free breakfast is just cold grocery store items opened up and put in bigger dishes. Pool was very slippery and way past it's prime.
- 5/5
Lovely older hotel dedicated to the Bard. I LOVE this place. It is dated, but the charm more than compensates. The room was very nice and clean. My only thought was, perhaps more proteins for the complimentary breakfast. Other than that it was PERFECT!
- 5/5
We've stayed here several times for many of the wonderful attributes , including the staff , the pleasant breakfast and walkability to the shops and shows in town.
- 5/5
Very clean room and friendly and accommodating staff. Very quaint setting. Breakfast was very good.
- 2/5
The hotel is located within walking distance of the downtown restaurants. The staff were very welcoming and nice. The HVAC system was extremely loud. Since we were on the first floor facing the main street we did not feel safe opening the windows all night but we could not use the HVAC. It was too loud even with earplugs. The room was also half underground with a dugout window facing a cement wall; no view, lighting was terrible. The pillows were so fat and hard we slept without pillows.
- 5/5
Very nice room. Great breakfast options.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff were friendly. There was a large breakfast area with decent variety mix-ins for the yogurt and oatmeal.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
I LOVED that it had both microwave and very useful fridge with drawer for vegetables and a functional freezer! The hotel is also next to a Safeway but I only discovered this as I was leaving. Perfect for families I think!
- 4/5
Very friendly staff, excellent continental breakfast, perfect location to downtown Ashland. Good beds, bad pillows. Can
- 5/5
Excellent price, quiet room, good shower, friendly staff. No free wine. Ha!
- 5/5
This is a wonderful, older hotel in very close walking distance to downtown Ashland. There is a saltwater pool and hot tub that were great. Right across the street from a Safeway store which was super handy. We parked our car and didn't use it for 3 days--just walked everywhere in town, to Shakespeare festival, to fabulous meals, etc. The breakfast leaves a bit to be desired, but oatmeal and granola kept us going until lunch. The staff is all really friendly. New paint throughout and great beds!!
- 3.5/5
Perfectly located. Pool room and breakfast room were nice. Our particular room was like a dungeon (125), really dark and down below with facilities and employee locker room. Would’ve like a choice of room.
- 5/5
Breakfast had minimal offerings, but otherwise the place was great!!
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great place to stay in Ashland, close to a lot of places and right across the street from Safeway. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Did not have breakfast or use the hot tub to provide feedback.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean. Comfortable. Great coffee. Breakfast excellent
- 4/5
The description of the room when we booked was “2 queen tree view” which implies a view of a park or green space. There were trees in view, but on the sidewalk of a fairly busy street which meant it wasn’t the quiet side of the hotel as we expected. The hotel was cute with extra touches like crisp folded towels, clean sheets and bedding, and a nice breakfast with real dishes in the morning. We enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and responsive at check in.
- 5/5
Great front desk people. Excellent breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. I like that the breakfast room was open all day - nice and airy with view - great place just to relax out of the room. Also - totally like having the "water station" available 24/7 - hot and cold! The lighting in the room was a tad dark.
- 5/5
Nice place for the price
- 5/5
Perfect location. We walked everywhere.
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean and staff is super friendly! We look forward to staying here again in the future.
- 4/5
Clean and quiet room and friendly staff. Easily walkable to downtown Ashland and OSF theaters. Breakfast was passable but not great.
- 5/5
I usually don’t leave reviews; my bad. However I needed to comment how wonderful this lodging was. Like going back in time when a family owned the hotel at your favorite vacation spot. I highly recommend staying here. The indoor pool is even open until 1 AM. The included Continental breakfast had a number of wholesome choices.
- 5/5
Breakfast was v good, nice cold choices
- 4.5/5
Location. Good, healthy breakfast options and they did not use disposable cutlery and dishes. Nothing.
- 5/5
We like hotels that aren’t cookie cutters, and the Stratford Inn reflects the personality of Ashland. We last stayed there in the ‘90s and it’s been updated without losing its character. Very convenient for walking to OSF, shops and restaurants.
- 4.5/5
I am use to eggs and sausage. But what they offered was ok
- 3/5
This was advertised in Orbitz as "pet friendly". Upon my arrival I was asked to pay $35 per pet, as a previously UNDISCLOSED fee.
- 3/5
It was all cold items, with the exception of a vat of lukewarm oatmeal. The coffee was often out. The breakfast had zero variation across our 3 mornings there, so you can imagine a boring and underwhelming breakfast experience.
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at the Stratford.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel experience on a mother-son trip!
- 5/5
Location, helpful staff, great value, clean and comfortable facilities
- 4.5/5
Two comfortable reclinable chairs to sit in by the window, with a view of the mountains across the valley. Comfortable beds. Drinking water available all day outside the dining area, hot water and coffee as well. Nice pool and hot tub area. Spacious breakfast room with ample food. The bathroom fan did not work. Reported it and they offered to have it fixed that evening but we didn't want the interruption. It should be fixed for the next occupants.
- 5/5
This is not your typical cookie-cutter motel. The owners have created a resort in the style of Shakespearean era England in the heart of Ashland - but with modern plumbing, comfortable beds and all modern conveniences! The spacious rooms are decorated with paintings of the English countryside of long ago. The breakfast offerings are varied and delicious and the staff are super friendly. Loved our stay here.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable.
- 4.5/5
Two comfortable chairs in the room would have been nice…
- 5/5
This Inn is a nice walk to the theaters of Ashland. Give your legs a stretch before sitting down for a show! The thing we love best, though, is that this property is ecologically friendly. The cleaning products are low impact, the lighting is high-efficiency, the amenities are set up to be less wasteful... that kind of thing. We like places that are thoughtful like this!
- 4.5/5
Great location, super helpful staff in every way. The whole facility was immaculately clean. We felt supported when we needed things. Continental breakfast, but our room had a cook top, microwave, fridge and plates and utensils. Comfortable beds. It was really a pleasure to stay here. I don't know, it was pretty great.
- 5/5
Wonderful!
- 5/5
The Inn is quite close to downtown - a short drive and easy to get to. The room was very nice - clean and comfortable. There was an indoor pool, although we did not use it. One highlight - unusual for a hotel- was the breakfast and breakfast area. The breakfast was up on the second floor and surrounded by windows, providing lots of light and views of the area. The breakfast itself had an original menu with a yogurt bar and lots of toppings including fresh fruit and some oatmeal with choices of toppings. The woman running the buffet was very helpful and gave us a tour of the room and buffet items.
- 4/5
Breakfast had no eggs or sausage. Porridge was lumpy and cold. Wheat bread was delicious.
- 5/5
We love this property. However, we feel the pet fees are excessive and will not stay at this property again.
- 5/5
The staff was welcoming and eager to help with everything. They clearly care about doing an excellent job and it made the whole visit more enjoyable.
- 5/5
A really fine old school hotel! Great value, excellent breakfast included, clean and comfortable. Only suggestions are for a nite table on both sides of the bed and a dimmer light for night time and early morning.
- 5/5
Great place to stay when in Ashland, great location and staff.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, good breakfast
- 5/5
It was a great stay. Friendly staff.
- 3/5
It was a fine stay but not that great. The heating/cooling unit did not work properly - based on other reviews that seems to be a common issue. The breakfast wasn’t great but as expected. Staff was super friendly.
- 5/5
We absolutely loved our stay at the Stratford Inn! The theme is so perfect and well done throughout the hotel. Room was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was great! Highly recommend and hope to stay here again next time we're in town.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff Nice breakfast coffee bar Near OSF and SOU walking distance for both
- 4/5
The Stratford Inn is a quaint little Inn clearly geared toward travelers coming to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival...which we were. The staff was very friendly and helpful. OSF is a short, convenient walk (even for us older, out-of-shape folks). The rooms are nice and well-maintained despite the age of the Inn. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of outlets for our electronics. The breakfast is on the continental side that favored the older guests. While there was a young lady monitoring things, there was a bit of a delay in prep time so, with the oatmeal, for example, it got to the bottom of the barrel. So, if breakfast is an important part of your decision as to where to stay, this might not be your best choice. However, if you are looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable place to stay...I would recommend Stratford Inn. My family and I enjoyed our stay there.
- 5/5
Outstanding hotel and a great staff.
- 5/5
The breakfast was lovely including Gluten Free.
- 5/5
Didn't use hot tub
- 3/5
The breakfast wasn't worth waiting for.
- 5/5
Cindy who works in the Breakfast Room was particularly pleasant and helpful 😀 😊
- 5/5
Our family of four stayed here for two nights while attending a SOU student preview day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! Pros: extremely walkable to SOU campus and downtown (opposite directions). The pool was excellent- very accommodating hours until 1am, and opens at 6am. Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful too. The building itself is a bit dated, but it’s been updated with new flooring, comfy beds, lights, etc. It’s a modest place, but very cozy and welcoming
- 5/5
Appreciated the fact that the breakfast items included non-dairy milk. Also, the attendant was very cheerful and helpful.
- 3/5

- 4/5
Breakfast was perfect. Loved the steel cut oatmeal,
- 5/5
This is small, but really appreciate the floor in the rooms to not be carpet! Otherwise, was just passing through, but would absolutely stay again. Staff was friendly, amenities were nice, and the bed was comfy! 5 stars in my book
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Breakfast was great and filling. We loved the dragon.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean, comfortable beds, and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The breakfast was excellent and the staff caring and engaging, knowledgeable about the area.
- 5/5
Staff at Front Desk were great & helped familiarize us with places to eat in walking distance. We were happy the hotel was pet friendly. They even had an Easter Egg Hunt set up with prizes for kids.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great...lots of choices!!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, thoughtful breakfast, lovely indoor pool
- 5/5
The gal at breakfast was super friendly!
- 4/5
loved the hottub and glad that they stayed open late so that we can enjoy after a long drive.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean and spacious room.
- 4/5
Nice clean place at a reasonable price. Not the newest, but updated at some point and seems to be nicely kept up. Close in, having a grocery store nearby is nice, and good value for a safe and clean place.
- 5/5
An easy walk from Stratford Inn to the plays at Oregon Shakespeare Festival )OSF). Nicely decorated with memorabilia from OSF. Rooms are quiet and they have a pool available to guests.
- 5/5
Fantastic location, convenient to walk downtown. Kids loved the pool. Staff were very kind.
- 5/5
The rooms are large and very clean. One of the few hotels that still has maid service if needed. The pool was really nice and breakfast has lots of good choices
- 5/5
Breakfast does not have a great selection for someone with dietary restrictions but everything else is wonderful.
- 5/5
OF NOTE: The bathroom light is motion-sensored, so if go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the light comes on automatically. No way to adjust that. Had a lovely stay, though.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and neat
- 3/5
Hotel staff is excellent and hotel is clean. It is outdated and if staying on the second floor pray guest on third floor are not noisy. I was on the second floor and the thumping was loud. Breakfast well I prefer a hot breakfast so if you like toast n yogurt your in the right place. They water down the coffee creamer so I was disappointed. As far as clean great job housekeeping
- 4/5
Easy access to everything
- 2/5
The room I was given was right next to the cafeteria and it was very loud. The rooms in the third floor were far more quieter than the second floor.
- 5/5
All was good
- 5/5
Lovely people
- 5/5
This hotel was perfect for a stop in Ashland with kids. They loved the pool. Having Safeway across the street was perfect.
- 5/5
This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it was great! Love the location, the staff is super nice, the beds were so-so but the pillows were good. I loved how we could open the windows to get fresh air! The breakfast had lots of good options. Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
great service
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and informative. Everything was clean. We enjoyed the pool, spa and patio seating. Breakfast had good options. Very walkable to downtown. We enjoyed our 4 night stay!
- 5/5
We had a great stay. The staff was exceptional and the property, while older, is very well maintained and very clean. Also convenient right next to Safeway and whole town felt very safe. We would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
I have stayed several times at the Stratford Inn. It is always so easy to check in and out and again - the breakfast is awesome. Everyone seems to like working there which is a great thing.
- 5/5
Great breakfast!
- 5/5
Breakfast room was sunny and staff friendly
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, delightful stay.
- 5/5
Love this place !!!!
- 5/5
Pet friendly, spotless room with a very comfortable bed. Coffee and microwave in the room and a very nice continental breakfast. What else could you want? We highly recommend Stratford Inn for a stay in Ashland.
- 4/5
Everything seemed clean, but the bathroom sink was dated and stained. Also, the sink was very low. I am 5’2” and had to bend down to reach it! But the bed was lower than most and very comfortable. The room was specious. All the staff members were friendly, efficient, and kind. The location is central to everywhere! And plenty of off-steet free parking.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
we enjoyed the kitchenette
- 4/5
Nice location, friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms
- 4/5
Was a great stay. Clean rooms
- 3/5
Nice hotel in Ashland.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 1/5
The hotel has fantastic Shakespeare Festival memorabilia, charming beams, and stained glass. And there were kids there having a blast at the pool. Overall, though, lacking some basics.
- 5/5
We have stayed at the Strarford many times over the last 5 years. Our room is always clean and comfortable. Staff always friendly and welcoming. Love that they seve Portland Roasters coffee in the room and at breakfast.
- 5/5
Stratford is very dated, but very clean and well kept up. I felt safe as a single female. Both morning evening front desk clerks were kind and courteous. The breakfast attendant was very sweet as well. Breakfast was continental. Coffee was good. I did not use the pool area. I was only in and out for one night. Less than 12 hours. Water pressure was great, temp was great. My only complaint was not being able to get coffee before 7 am. That’s too late for me. Regardless, the price is right and I’ll stay again.
- 5/5
Great room, clean but more importantly great mattress!!
- 5/5
Open late/ early, good to know, hope to be back!! Everybody super friendly and welcoming!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly
- 4/5
Check in was a breeze, the whole hotel was clean, the indoor pool was AWESOME and even had pool toys/floaties. The beds are not very comfortable but it's a place to lay your head!
- 3/5
Location is great! Our room was dirty. Breakfast buffet was all still frozen. And the walls are so thin we could hear noise all night.
- 5/5
Extremely clean
- 5/5
Super friendly staff. Room was clean and comfy. Walking distance to lots of shops and places to eat. This is going to be my new place to stay when I’m traveling through Ashland.

- 5/5
Staff was kind and it was a welcoming place.
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, good healthy breakfast options and coffee, comfortable bed and thoughtfully set up room.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable, and the hot tub truly hot with nice pool area.
- 5/5
Close to downtown, great costumer service
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
Had a wonderful one-night stay at this cute retro hotel. Front desk staff super friendly & helpful. Terrific amenities especially the jacuzzi & tea/coffee bar. I really appreciated their eco-awareness using mugs and glassware instead of disposables. Sparkling clean room, comfortable beds, fluffy towels. All at a budget friendly price!
- 5/5
All the little extras made for a great stay
- 5/5
Great location for the price
- 4/5
The staff was amazing very
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the staff was amazing. The location of the hotel is also great, we pretty much walked everywhere we wanted to go. There is also a grocery store next door! We will definitely be back :)
- 5/5
Great location and easily walkable to anything and everything downtown!
- 4/5
Clean room with nice white sheets , hard surface floors. Bit dated but very clean. Only problem was $35 non-refundable dog fee per dog, seemed a bit steep. Good affordable option otherwise
- 5/5
All of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable.
- 2/5
A bright light shinning into my room, a very lackluster breakfast, a shower with no middle ground for temperature, and missing amenities.
- 5/5
The room was fine & all we needed but it was the staff who stood out as excellent. From the courteous & helpful front desk staff at check-in & check-out to the gem of a hostess at the breakfast, the staff here was top-notch & a reason to come back.
- 5/5
Beds were comfortable, nice amenities, great breakfast
- 5/5
Thx
- 5/5
Great staff, very clean, amazing location! This is a really fun place to stay in Ashland. And great year round indoor pool!
- 4/5
I didn'.t try the hot tub
- 5/5
Great rooms , perfect location . Kids always enjoy the pool. Definitely our go to spot for when we visit Ashland
- 4/5
Well worn but clean
- 5/5
Clean, spacious room. Excellent front desk service
- 5/5
Perfect little getaway spot for families. We loved the indoor pool and close proximity to downtown for great restaurants as well as a 30-40 minute drive out to the snow. Beds were comfy, room was clean and a good size. Parking was easy. Staff was always welcoming and kind. The walls are a little thin so it was rather noisy in the morning with a loud family but that's a guest issue, not a hotel issue. All in all, we loved and will come back to visit again.
- 4/5
The room was clean and inviting staff was warm and welcoming.
- 5/5
We love staying at the Stratford! Elijah was super sweet and attentive. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is healthy and good!
- 5/5
Elijah at the front desk was 5 star. Friendly, informative and ready to make sites out stay was perfect. Thank you!!
- 5/5
Clean. Courteous. Great Breakfast/Breakfast spot
- 5/5
the hot tub and pool is wonderful and warm my child loved it
- 5/5
Clean and quiet room
- 5/5
Excellent room! It had great coffee, very comfortable bed, very clean AND two massage chairs! The staff is extremely friendly and efficient. Shoutout to Cindy in the breakfast room!
- 5/5
Great location in Ashland with a Safeway across the street.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, genuinely pleasant staff.
- 4/5
Very nice day overall however, the beds are extremely uncomfortable did didn’t get the best night sleep but the hotel is very nice. The staff extremely friendly and it was very clean.
- 4/5
We did enjoy our stay here. The hotel does feel older and needs a bit of an update. However, our king suite was huge and comfortable. We had a king bed and a Murphy queen bed for the kids, a kitchenette, a living room area, and a fairly large bathroom. The rooms were clean and we got fresh towels and beds made everyday. The free breakfast was simple but exactly what we needed. Coffee, juice, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, and yogurt with toppings bar. We went to breakfast everyday and this was very helpful for our stay. This hotel had an indoor pool. One of the few hotels that had an indoor pool in the area. Helpful since we went during the winter. They always had pool towels available. (Which is always an issue at other hotels) They also had pool toys and noodles available for the kids to play with. Overall we had a great stay.

- 4/5
Very clean, friendly staff and good continental breakfast. Only negative - furniture needed a little updating; but bed was good.
- 5/5
Nice free breakfast and coffee.
- 5/5
Great location, excellent staff, nice pool and hot tub, good breakfast
- 4/5
Front desk person was very friendly, our room was large and clean and fresh! Extra blankets were available upon request even though our heater worked great, I just like the weight of the extra blankets.
- 5/5
The check-in clerk was very nice and made the experience memorable. Excellent staff.
- 5/5
Very clean hotel, knowledgeable and accommodating front desk clerk. Just an all around great time at this hotel. Our 3rd time staying here and won’t be the last!
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
Fantastic place to stay
- 5/5
good breakfast with good options, nice room, pet-friendly, nice lobby ambiance with wonderful, blazing fireplace to warm your bones!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Good location for walking to downtown Ashland.
- 5/5
The hotel is really charming and within walking distance to restaurants! And the hot tub is open until 1am! Will definitely go again!
- 5/5
Rooms clwan and quier
- 5/5
The front desk staff and everyone employed at the Inn were helpful and friendly. Always nice to receive a warm welcome after a long day of traveling! Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was great.
- 5/5
We love this little hotel. It is affordable, clean, the staff is very kind and helpful, the breakfast is great and location is awesome, easy walk to downtown with Safeway next doot. The hot tub is nice and hot, the only thing would make it better if the pool was a bit warmer. Other then that it was our second stay here and we would definitely come back again.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the staff was great, the breakfast was okay but it’s a fun place and they really care about making it special.
- 4/5
Breakfast and breakfast staff, pool saved the days. Front desk day staff were disappointing. Room 326 shower had been dyed with henna so it looked like a murder scene. My girls were afraid of it and wouldn’t use it even though it was just gross but not really blood. When I asked if it could be remedied I was told house keeping only uses natural citrus cleaners and it was not possible to clean and it had been this way for the last two years and when they remodel in future years they will take care of it! So the room was nice, location great but a shower that looks like helter skelter crime scene spoils it. Especially since as a property manager I have successfully remediated two homes baths with hair dye stains from henna. Owners should be embarrassed with house keeping, front desk and fix this issue. Within an hour they could have only positive reviews rather than exposing several families a week to a hemorrhaging shower.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. We have stayed here when driving from the Bay Area to Portland, a nice pit stop during a long drive. Also great proximity to Downtown Ashland as we always enjoy checking out the local shops and restaurants during our stay.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room. Wish I had more time to explore Ashland.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff, and very quiet!
- 4/5
Good amount of space. Loved the kitchenette.
- 5/5
Staff was very pleasant. Quick check in and check out!
- 5/5
The attendant at the reception was super nice. We did have some issues with the bathroom but Elijah helped resolved it immediately.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved this place. I’m sad we only stayed one night. Lovely small boutique hotel with elevator and luggage carts (which was a nice surprise). Every staff member we spoke to was very kind (shoutout to Cindy). The room was clean and inviting. The indoor heated pool and hot tub are divine. Already want to plan another trip here to spend more time!
- 5/5
welcoming and helpful staff, clean room, great location to downtown, warm room
- 5/5
The property was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The room was spacious, the dining area where they had the simple continental breakfast was very clean, comfortable and because we’re traveling for the holidays it was decorated well with a pretty Christmas tree and other decor. The real thing that stood out was the staff service. They were wonderful, kind and extremely welcoming. Overall great stay for a great price. Would highly consider visiting again in the future.
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good with a delightful person serving us.
- 5/5
This hotel is close to downtown. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great place!
- 5/5
The staff were very kind, helpful, and accommodating. We ended up arriving after midnight, but when I called ahead to let them know, they checked me in early over the phone. The room was quiet and comfortable, including the temperature. I greatly appreciate hotels with heaters that maintain an even tempurature, instead of dropping to freezing before roaring to life to airfry the occupants, especially in older buildings.
- 4/5
An old standby for us.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. The room was very nice and staff were great.
- 4/5
Just short stop to sleep on our road trip. Staff was nice.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean, cute place.
- 4/5
Nice location with plenty of shopping and food all within walking distance.
- 5/5
Clean and quite
- 5/5
Great rooms , clean quiet. The staff is exceptional friendly ready to help. I was able to fill all paper work out early so when I got back from my appt all I needed to do was pick up my key. Awesome
- 5/5
Very clean room, affordable and extremely friendly staff
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious. The best thing about our visit was chatting with Cindy over breakfast. She is a gem!!! She gave us quite a few suggestions for places to visit, and we really enjoyed chatting with her. She’s an excellent asset to your hotel and a keeper! We shall return!
- 5/5
We had a great stay! Haven’t stayed here since 2001. Happy to report that the Stratford is in great shape and the staff is still friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful.
- 5/5
Clean room, attentive staff, easy walk to downtown.
- 5/5
Great customer service at the front desk and a ccute hotel!
- 5/5
Great location. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast
- 5/5
Very friendly and accommodating staff at the front desk.
- 4/5
Very helpful staff and clean room. Quiet neighborhood. Continental breakfast and pool. Bathroom fan didn't work and the heater made a lot of noise at night. Not fancy, but a good place to stay near downtown.
- 5/5
My daughter recommended Stratford Inn and I'm glad I took her advice. The desk clerk was helpful as well as professional. My room was on the 2nd floor, and he offered a cart, similar to those at airports, to more easily move my belongings upstairs via the elevator. My bed was comfortable and the room clean and well appointed. Breakfast was varied and healthy, and checkout a breeze.
- 5/5
Out of 5 motel/Inns that we stayed st during our trip, this was the best! Will recommend 👌
- 5/5
Friendly staff, nice hot tub.clean room.
- 4/5
The room was fine no pproblems
- 3/5
The location was great, the room amenities definitely need to be upgraded, blanket was incredibly lumpy, and there needs to be a microwave in the room (which there was not).
- 4/5
I can see the value during a festival and summer months. The place is nice, a little dated all around. The hot tub is very tiny. It’s also right next to the main thoroughfare (Mountain View room).
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
Cozy and walking distance to center of the town with the great restaurants and shops.
- 5/5
Great staff. Good room, good price. Breakfast was nutritious and delicious
- 5/5
Spotless, friendly staff, great location
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, easy check-in
- 1/5
When confronted about it to the noise makers they said they didn’t know anyone was in the area and we should have told them to be quiet. It’s a flippin hotel. Not impressed that hotel lets hotel staff party all night. It’s too bad as the rest of the experience could have been decent. The room was good, parking etc. Will not stay again next time in Ashland
- 5/5
Such friendly people! It was a pleasure to check in and our room is lovely! Many amenities, plus a pretty pool, an easy TV, generous kitchen appliances, and comfy bed. We'll definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
We left before breakfast. It was pet friendly but having to use the stairs all the time to take the dogs didn't work that well. But the size of the room was wonderful, and loved that it did not have carpet ! Carpet is gross so it felt cleaner without carpet.
- 5/5
Clean room and great customer service. I love how they still have real keys for the rooms!
- 5/5
Very clean with great amenities. Wonderful indoor pool with hot tub and the staff was extremly friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Always enjoy staying at The Stratford - pet and family friendly, with helpful kind staff members.
- 5/5
We loved our stay. The room was huge! 2 queen beds, kitchenette, nook. The mattress was perfect and my wife had her best sleep in years. All of the staff were helpful with the woman taking care of the breakfast room a true highlight. We highly recommend this hotel. It is older, but managed with exceptional care
- 5/5
Breakfast was just right with yogurt and toppings and fresh hot coffee.
- 4/5
Good, standard motel. Breakfast so-so. Room and service were clean and friendly.
- 4/5
Great staff, clean room. No complaints on that. Little bit noisy from the hallways/neighbors . Not much noise from the room. Also breakfast is really simple, yogurt, hard boil eggs, cereal, some bread stuff. Service and coffee was awesome!
- 4/5
Room comfortable, clean, and quiet but the overall place a bit faded. It was nice to be able to walk to downtown in 10 minutes.
- 4/5
It was cozy and we loved the indoor pool and sauna that was open late. We were a bit dissapointes in how rough the aheets felt.
- 5/5
Very pleasant staff, pretty good sound insulation although I did hear someone snoring, and I liked the breakfast. The pool room was clean and the water was a good temp, although I didn’t use it. There was a monitor in the lobby I noticed that said the pool and hot tub are salt water, which I was not previously aware of. Overall, would go back for another stay.
- 5/5
Front desk person was friendly and informative and gave me a great room with a view!
- 5/5
Great little hotel with good walking proximity to everything in town!
- 5/5
Helpful staff. Everything was decorated for Halloween. Good experience.
- 4/5
This was our first time staying here despite coming to Ashland for decades, and we don't feel like we have been missing out on much. The best feature here is the walking distance (in nice weather) to downtown. It was noisy in all ways: thin walls, street traffic, loud guests, etc. We would not stay here again. The staff was nice enough, but the "light breakfast" was hardly an amenity. It was pointless; we did it once and then went out elsewhere the next two mornings. The wi-fi service was fine, but our room so weirdly designed with poor light-switch locations and management, and the mattress was terrible: like an inflatable bed that had no body to it whatsoever. Disappointing, overall, with the only really good thing being the location.
- 5/5
Staff, style, environment, food and amenities are always great and top of the line at this hotel. Have been here numerous times and will without doubt return.
- 5/5
Very enjoyable stay. This is what I would call an old-fashioned hotel, with actual keys to the room doors, and no plastic or paper cups. The breakfast was very good and the staff was incredibly friendly.
- 4/5
The breakfast of oatmeal with tons of add ons was delicious. My only complaint was the coffee which was very weak and flavorless. Whole milk or half n half would have been nice also.
- 5/5
My only negative is that this was the first time with a room on the parking lot side, and it was a bit noisy.
- 4/5
The staff was great and working hard. Almost everything was sparkling clean. However, one of the beds in our room did not have clean linen. We told the front desk, and it was quickly remedied. The coffee machine in the breakfast room broke, too. The staff worked hard to get us coffee, anyway. It is a lovely hotel with wonderful rooms, especially for the price, and I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Location is perfect, walking distance to the historic Main Street and across the street from a grocery store. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and cheerful. Older property, but well kept up. Very convenient location right in the middle of Ashland.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious and comfortable room was very quiet and very dog friendly. Comfortable cotton sheets and real glasses and mugs were a treat. The hotel is also very convenient and not on the highway. Breakfast was delicious and healthy and we loved the Halloween decorations! Would definitely come back!
- 5/5
Comfortable, firm bed. Easily adjusted temperature
- 5/5
We had a very nice stay! Rooms were comfortable, and the location is great - many great dining choices and entertainment within walking distance of the hotel.
- 5/5
Convenient spot, well placed
- 5/5
I frequently stay here. It has everything I need for a comfortable stay.
- 5/5
The Jacuzzi was great after a long day of shopping in Ashland
- 4/5
Appeared clean. Had a slight odor. Wish there were more low carb and protein options for breakfast.
- 5/5
Very nice place.
- 5/5
Lovely, comfortable room. Great location for walking tp/frim the theaters.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, facility is well well maintained and the rooms are good size. Nice walkable location to town with Safeway right across the street. Good parking at the hotel. Continental breakfast was high quality.
- 5/5
Was very safe
- 5/5
Wonderful stay - so much fun in the pool, it was easy to unload all of our stuff to and from the room. The kids loved all of the extra Halloween decorations everywhere - it was such a nice detail for them. Enjoyed a good breakfast in that beautiful sunny room.
- 5/5
Nice place, needs some upgrades, but I would stay there again.
- 4/5
Clean room & kitchen, staff was nice. Parking felt safe. Hot tub small but nice heat. Pool looked like an animal jumped in it...odd. Breakfast was ok. Up through the night with people going up and down stairs, Ive learned to ask for room not by stairs.
- 5/5
Lovely quaint hotel. Near town and easy to walk around the small town.
- 5/5
The room was great! So clean - and we appreciate no carpet! The healthy breakfast was perfect! Everyone was so nice!!!
- 3/5
We arrived at 4:00 but had to wait almost half hour for the room to be ready . The clerk was very courteous. Although the dining area looks better than most, the food choices were disappointing. Mismatched lighting in the room was also careless. No king size single rooms available- only two queens.
- 4/5
Check is was easy, person was very helpful, friendly
- 5/5
Nice, clean and quiet. The staff was great and they have a good breakfast. It is pet-friendly, with a small “park” in the parking lot for them.
- 5/5
The employees seemed to really love it there. The parking was easy, close and well lit, never a concern for the area. Safeway is 15 steps away from the front door. The room was clean and well appointed. Temperature was comfortable. Clean, quiet halls & elevator. My credit card hold was released within hours. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 4/5
Great place. We will be staying there again. The rooms were spotless. The staff friendly and helpful. Super breakfast. Very nice pool and hot tub. Convenient location for dining and the theater.
- 5/5
Very convenient stay. We were able to walk to the Shakespeare performance and to downtown area for dinner with comfort.
- 4/5
Dont know about pets. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location.
- 5/5
Lovely and friendly staff, clean and confortable, convenient to downtown!
- 4/5
Good access to Main Street in Ashland. Rooms were quiet, especially considering that there were dozens of junior high students staying there. Furniture and bathroom facilities are dated but functional. Breakfast was mediocre and noisy, although the coffee was good. It was a very reasonable rate.
- 5/5
Nice place! Good location, would stay again.
- 5/5
Perfect location, very friendly staff.
- 5/5
The hotel is exceptionally clean and very friendly!
- 5/5
It’s a great spot with very firm beds. Very. Nice to have a fridge microwave and breakfast with a gluten free bagel! Great also to have a hot tub- pet friendly-35.00 fee though. Close to restaurants and across the street from Safeway. Just wish I had some memory foam for my old bones… Halloween decorations were also impressive!
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. Good pillows!! Except for the air conditioner, the room was very quiet, (and even though the air conditioner is a bit loud, it was fine). I slept great, and the staff was very helpful. The lady in the breakfast room is delightful! Also, the location is walkable to everything in town. The Halloween decorations were over the top. I think the staff has fun. Always a good sign.
- 3/5
Bedding was clean Not a good fit with what I like to stay in, but got what we paid for
- 5/5
Professional, friendly, and very accommodating staff that went out of their way and made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Cleanest room, pool area, breakfast location - perfect location for accessing downtown by foot. Special recognition goes out to Elisha who went way on and beyond with our specific needs.
- 5/5
A good stay and a good value
- 4/5
Good place to stay in Ashland. Friendly front desk staff, clean and comfortable room, location not too far from shopping area (and a Safeway across the street). Only issue was a breakfast employee talking politics one morning, which I was hoping to escape on our weekend getaway. Otherwise, a nice stay.
- 3/5
They allow all rooms to have pets. We have animal allergies so we did have problems. The air filters seem to be effective, it did get better as the days progressed. We stayed for 4 days. Maybe have some non-pet rooms available.
- 5/5
staff exceptionally friendly
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms, good location
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
Older hotel that is conveniently located within walking distance on restaurant and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival at reasonable rates for the area. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
All the staff are really nice and make you full comfortable. I always book a room when I visit Ashland here.
- 5/5
3rd time staying here. Staff is exceptional and always a solid stay. Only thing I would suggest is stronger coffee
- 5/5
A gem in the heart of Ashland!
- 5/5
Was very clean and room was spacious.
- 5/5
We have stayed here several times and we have never had a complaint. Super friendly staff and it's always clean. Easy walk to food and shopping.
- 3/5
Staff was super nice. Inn itself is dated, but does have some charm to it. Room was fine. It was clean enough. Although the comforter duvet cover had some suspicious stains.
- 5/5
We were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff.
- 5/5
This is an older building, but they focus on the important things bed shower cleanliness. There is an indoor pool, but it’s kind of small. So don’t go here for the pool. This is primarily a Shakespeare Festival hotel, and it fits the bill very well. Across street from Safeway, very convenient for food etc.
- 5/5
The breakfast barista Cindy was so kind and helpful, her radiant smile filled the room with sunshine every morning.
- 5/5
Despite being an older property, rooms were well kept & clean with very comfortable beds & linens. Staff knew what they were doing. It's a well-run hotel. We'd stay again.
- 5/5
We've enjoyed our stay. They were extremely friendly. The accomodations are comfortable. Very positive experience.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Overall - excellent experience
- 5/5
Great value. We loved the pool, the several outside lounge areas, and nice breakfast. Front desk staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
- 4/5
Dated hotel, but in a great location. Lots of parking and good walkability.
- 5/5
Quiet clean road house in great location.
- 4/5
Very friendly and welcoming staff, clean room and communal spaces. Great location and walkable to downtown Ashland. My only feedback was the bed was not as comfortable for my sciatica issues. I would definitely stay again though!
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great area - Walkable to both SOU campus and downtown/OSF. Beds were super comfortable.
- 5/5
Lily was kind and helpful. She made the check in process swift and easy. Thank you!
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Bathroom sink has rust ring. Everything else was in order. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
Front desk and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Asked front desk for restaurant that were open and she called one and confirmed availability for me
- 4/5
This is a solid choice if you need to be in downtown Ashland. Well maintained, well staffed, clean pool for morning swims, and a decent little breakfast area. The Shakespeare theme was a nice touch, too, giving the hotel a nice sense of place. Safeway directly across the street was also convenient.
- 5/5
Receptionist was awesome!
- 4/5
Good place for a short term stay. close to downtown.
- 5/5
Mini frig with freezer and comfy over stuffed chairs by the window.
- 5/5
We've stayed before and will stay again. Location is great, a short walk to the downtown shops, restaurants and theaters. Comfortable spacious rooms. Very impressed by the cleaning staff who we saw doing a good job and it's all very clean. We like the indoor pool, and complimentary breakfast buffet - oatmeal, yogurt, etc. A great deal for what we paid!
- 5/5
Lovely stay
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, clean facilities and good location.
- 5/5
The king suite was very large and the setup was great! It is like a deluxe Airbnb apartment! Loved the suite but did not get much time to enjoy the gorgeous place as we stayed only one night.
- 5/5
Loved the personal attention.
- 5/5
Beds are not very comfortable but staff and location are amazing
- 5/5
Never been in a hotel, or motel, with laminate floors, throughout. It is a brilliant idea!
- 5/5
This is a very clean, super friendly hotel on the souther edge of downtown. Parking is very convenient. The rooms are spacious, come with a fridge and microwave. And everything is easily walkable. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast or coffee, but the price is great even during peak season. And they have a pool and jacuzzi! And if you forget anything, the staff will be happy to FedEx your belonging back to you. (At your expense, which is only reasonable.) We love this place and will definitely be back in the future.
- 5/5
The Stratford staff members were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic! We were able to walk to plays and to dinners very easily. We will likely choose the Stratford for any future stays.
- 4/5
Forgot items in closet, easy return
- 3/5
All ok
- 5/5
What a lovely place to stay! Close to everywhere we wanted, clean, well-maintained, and great, friendly staff!
- 5/5
Very clean. Healthy breakfast. Shakespeare touches and references throughout.
- 5/5
Pleasant facility with friendly staff. Good location.
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice especially Lilly who checked me in. My room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
We love it so much we stay here every year twice omg its great!!!!!!
- 4/5
My families go to in Ashland. I love the fact there isn't any nasty carpeting in the rooms. Staff is wonderful.
- 4/5
Everything was good except for the morning breakfast which was somewhat lacking.
- 5/5
Great location to walk to town. Staff shined numerous times.
- 5/5
It was a lovely place to stay. Easy walk to the theatres and restaurants. I enjoyed the indoor pool. Wish there was a fan in the bathroom.
- 5/5
The hotel was lovely, especially the breakfast staff. I shared a 2 bedroom room with a friend and we had plenty of space and a nice-sized bathroom that was easily shared. Although there were no hot items aside from what you toasted, the breakfast was plenty filling with plenty of large windows to light up the space. It was also helpful that the room doors could stay open with a magnetic attachment to the wall behind them, which was especially helpful to our other friend on crutches in the room next door, so she didn't have to keep dealing with the heavy door, but could keep it open while entering on her crutches or bringing in her luggage. This isn't right next to the theaters but in a calmer area just a slight way from downtown.
- 5/5
Nice staff. Convenient location to the downtown. Clean rooms. Great breakfast.
- 5/5
Friendly
- 5/5
We love staying here on our road trips down to California from Portland! Great customer service, clean, and free breakfast.
- 5/5
Clean, wood floors, no carpet, air filters in rooms and hallways.
- 4/5
This is an older hotel, more like a motel. Clean and comfortable and the staff is great...very accommodating. Breakfast was good, although the coffee was NOT! Too weak. We went to a number of places in town to get coffee and other items...only a 10-min. walk. The rooms are basic and clean. I had a bit of problem with the hardness of the bed but, overall, not too bad. There are some great past playbills in the lobby of Shakespearean plays which I loved reading! Overall, you will enjoy your stay and we will most likely return next year!
- 4/5
Room and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. AC worked well. Short walk from Shakespeare Theaters and downtown shops. Already planning to stay at this hotel again for next Ashland visit. Breakfast was very basic (fruit and yogurt mostly).
- 3/5
Everything was good except for the bed. It felt like rocks were in the mattress. Didn't sleep well at all. Otherwise, we loved the area and the hotel was good.
- 4/5
The food was very limited for breakfast options. The cereal machines did not function well. I saw a guest put their hands into the cereal from the top to get it to dispense properly. Not good. The beds were great! Thr front desk manager was very good as well.
- 3/5
Room faced busy street. Check in staff was not helpful to get a quiet room. Did not get any sleep due to street noise + air conditioner noise. Will not stay there next time.
- 5/5
This was the perfect place for me and my kids to stay while going to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The staff was kind and attentive. The place was clean and neat. It's not a luxury hotel, but we had a lovely experience. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and at the breakfast service. We especially appreciated the pool being open late and breakfast going until 10am. We will definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Nice breakfast. Easy walk to town. They allow pets. Unfortunately, we had to listen to a barking dog for a long time. The dog was left alone in a room. It took staff a long time to get a response from pet owners.
- 4/5
The hotel is a great location and there has been some updates in the rooms. We had booked 3 rooms and all our bathrooms need updating ie; the sink counters are way to short. In one king room it was missing the side table - friend went to the front desk to let them know but nothing was done to put another one in. In the 3rd room the A/C was very noisy and it was difficult to sleep at night. Breakfast is weak; stale bagels. Would be nice to upgrade the breakfast with other items. Staff was attentive and very nice.
- 5/5
What a beautiful and charming hotel… front desk staff was helpful with restaurant information near by and there’s a wonderful woman the keeps you informed and entertained in the breakfast area… very dog friendly and pet area
- 5/5
Big room nice place to stay
- 4/5
Great stay, helpful staff! We will be back!
- 5/5
Great place !
- 3/5
Hotel needs to be updated and breakfast was very mediocre.
- 4/5
The only thing we didn’t like is that the bathroom sink had cracks and brown coloring in it.
- 3/5
The staff was wonderful, but the place is very dated. Clean, but air conditioning very loud. Doors need better locks.
- 5/5
Family friendly and lovely location
- 5/5
We stay here every time we travel to Ashland, after trying the other hotels, this one is by far our favorite!
- 4/5
The room, itself, is dark.
- 5/5
The room was clean ans comfortable. The mini fridge-freezer combo makes it easy to bring food. It is in walking distance of the Shakespeare festival and the indoor pool delighted my kids
- 5/5
The friendly, accommodating staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived! The rooms were very clean and serviced daily. And some delicious options for the free breakfasts. A very pleasant experience: I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Long good experience.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and quiet place to stay near the OSF
- 4/5
nice pool and hot tub very friendly staff and a above average yougart bar at breakfast
- 5/5
The staff was attentive and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Within walking distance of downtown and OSF.
- 5/5
Great dog friendly hotel walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Somewhat dated but room was clean and bed was comfortable. We’d stay here again!
- 5/5
The breakfasts were good, our dog enjoyed the vibe, we could walk to the plays and restaurants, and the staff was friendly and seemed well organized.
- 4/5
The hotel is located on the main road into Ashland and is built into the side of a hill, so if you have a room on the 1st floor street side, you’ll probably want to pull the shades when it gets dark. The facility was nice. The breakfast room has a view of the pool and a variety of cold meal options (a little low on things like meats, cheeses, or fruits). The location was right next to a Safeway if you need to purchase toiletries or snacks. The parking was convenient and the staff friendly. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but it looked nice. And if you’re into it, try out the escape room right next door. We would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Stratford Inn is a bit worn, but clean and comfortable. 10 minute walk to the theaters in Ashland. On the whole a pretty good value for the area.
- 5/5
This is a great property to stay at if you are visiting the Shakespear Festival - it is walkable and close to shopping and restaurants. Check in was very easy - great staff - nice breakfast buffet - easy parking. The air conditioning was a bit loud and rumbled at times but it didn't bother us too much. Suggest bringing your own pillow unless you like firm standard size pillows. Other than that - we will most likely choose this hotel again next time we are in town.
