Reviews
The hotel generally received positive reviews for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. Many guests appreciated the convenient location and quiet rooms. However, some guests had issues with the breakfast, shower, and minor maintenance problems.
- Clean rooms
- Comfortable beds
- Breakfast was often disappointing
- Shower was small and showing age
- 3/5
Room was alright. Breakfast was a dud. The hotel should not even bother with offering breakfast.
- 4/5
This is not a high end hotel but it was really excellent for the price point. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The parking lot was safe and monitored overnight, I had no concern about leaving some items in the car. The free breakfast was very minimal (instant oatmeal, yogurt, waffle machine and juice/coffee/tea) but it was nice to be able to grab a quick bite before we headed out.
- 2/5
This was not a cheap room by any means so I expected it to be good especially since the Expedia rating was “Excellent” but it was far from it. I entered the main office and was greeted by a virtual assistant on this machine. That was weird but it was okay. I was assigned a room and when we entered the room, the first thing I saw was a dirty/used wash cloth on the vanity sink and there was a musty smell. I got an icky feeling in the room but we just went with it since it was late. The next morning when took a shower, the water wasn’t draining and tub was backing up. I would not recommend this place.

The breakfast was terrible. The yogurt gave my sister food poisoning. The coffee is terrible and the food choices were poor

Thank you to the great receptionists for supporting my stay. I will come back just because of their ability to accommodate and be flexible with the situation I was in. Blessings on you.
- 5/5
I checked in on June 8 and the girl that checked me in was very sweet. Love that there was complementary cookies in the lobby. The room was clean, it was nearby some convenient restaurants, I would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
great little place to stay!
- 3/5
Tiny shower, no hot breakfast, coffee not good
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly when we checked in. Our room was very clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. We slept great! We will definitely stay again as we are traveling through.

- 5/5
This place worked out great for my I5 stopover. Clean and affordable. Will stay again.
- 5/5
We stayed here twice. The first time the room was super clean- we were amazed. The 2nd time it wasn't quite as clean but still good. Our neighbors left a few discarded cans outside our front door at night and staff was slow in getting rid of them. A few towels had stains which were a bit disconcerting, but staff were very nice about replacing them. Over all we really liked the staff and found them to be very nice and helpful with great customer service. Breakfast was adequate, not great but enough decent choices to get you on the road.
- 3/5
Room was clean. The receptionist, who was found sleeping at the front desk, refused to print out a receipt for my hotel stay when checked out. The complete laziness and lack of customer service is just straight incompetence.
- 5/5
The staff on the premises were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Nice room close to downtown. They offer breakfast which is a bonus. And the complimentary cookie at check in was a nice touch of hospitality.
- 2/5
Close to stores. Terrible customer service. Maintenance conducted from 12 pm at night to 3 am in the morning. Could not sleep due to LOUD CONSTRUCTION NOISE. We were not adequately compensated by hotel OR Expedia. They pointed at each other to resolve issue. I will NEVER RETURN or recommend to ANYONE!
- 4/5
Room was plain and simple, but clean and functional. Bathroom was awkward, with the toilet/shower area VERY small. Could barely turn around in there. However, it is nice to have that separate from the sink/vanity area. TV very small. Beds and pillows ok. Breakfast was ok, and it was nice to have a waffle maker. Parking was good.
- 5/5
This is maybe my 3 rd stay in the last couple years. Very quiet and ease of signing in and out make it a great place to stay. Nice Mexican restaurant within 100 foot walking distance.
- 4/5
Room was of modest size but clean, comfortable, quiet, well maintained and very reasonably priced. It is very near the university though a bit over 1 mile pleasant walk from the more interesting primary business district and fine restaurants.
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 4/5
Every things was excellent about our stay, the staff, the room, location, etc. except that the shower wouldn't adjust to a comfortable temperature. I did tell the staff about that and fully expect it will be fixed. I have stayed there before and would normally give it 5 stars in all categories.
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and the hotel is close to many things and is not very expensive. For those reasons, we have stayed here before. But you need to know this is not a fancy place. We had some problems with our first room and they upgraded us for free. Things were outdated. However, for the reasons we have chosen this hotel previously, we would do so again.
- 4/5
Over all this place is very good, for the money
- 3/5
It was a fine place to stay, not great and not bad.
- 2.5/5
Location was great for us!
- 5/5
Our room was on the second floor and at the end of the outside hallway. The room was very quiet. We could sleep with the window open all night and enjoy the fresh air. The view from our room was of the mountains. The room was very clean and bedding very clean and comfy. We could walk to downtown Ashland and enjoy the shops, park and restaurants! Front office staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was not a highlight. Not a deal breaker because there are so many great places with wonderful food with in walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Ashland. Can’t beat the rate!
- 5/5
Breakfast was a bit skimpy. Staff was pleasant and kind. Rooms were clean.
- 5/5
We highly recommend this hotel for those who are looking a good, safe good sleeping stay.
- 3/5
Breakfast did not include any protein (egg, bacon, sausage, etc.) but lots of carbs.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, close to town
- 5/5
No issues
- 3/5
The price was great. Unfortunately, the pool was drained and in the process of being refilled and the ice maker did not work
- 4/5
I like the new minimalist decor and remodel. Bed was comfortable, AC works, breakfast was limited, but at this price no complaints about that. Floor was...sticky, but room was clean Sticky floor

Staff made every effort to be helpful and were very pleasant Check-in was a problem late at night because the key card didn't work and it took almost an hour to get into our room

Check-in was easy and friendly, the room was comfortable, and the location is close to great restaurants. We had a room on the end which was very private.

- 5/5
Really good value for a nice room. The breakfast could have been a bit better, they had good bagels but did not offer cream cheese. I would absolutely stay again for the price. The Mexican restaurant next door is fantastic and the staff at the hotel are very nice!
- 5/5
Great staff
- 3/5
My son and I have been on a road trip. Prospero's Inn was our first stop and although it served its purpose by providing a place for us to get sleep, there were a couple issues. The toilet was running all night and we got there too late to inform someone. Also, I heard the bed from the room above us creaking every time the person moved which was a lot unfortunately. I suggest requesting the top floor. The good news was that the bed and pillows were comfortable. The kiosk girl who checked us in was super nice.
- 5/5
The location is great! The people that are living there will . Need a better breakfast with hot food
- 4/5
Fairly convenient location near the university and a short drive from downtown. Much larger property than I was expecting. Room was nice but could have done with a better vacuuming. Towels were in need of an upgrade, since some were stained or worn. Very much a budget place to stay.
- 4/5
Good value
- 5/5
What a pleasant surprise. Great staff, clean quiet rooms. Even fresh baked cookies at check in.Many restaurants within walking distance and a decent breakfast.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice location, polite and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Very clean and highly recommended
- 4/5
Was a very cute spot to stay the night at. I like that they had all the amenities. Mini fridge, hair dryer, iron, microwave, because I really needed to warm up left overs and my baby's water for his formula. Breakfast area could use some work. Waffle maker was a bit troublesome. And there wasn't any cream cheese for bagels and no eggs sadly and the juices were lukewarm from the machine.
- 3/5
I picked this hotel based on its Hotels.com ratings, which mentioned the amazing breakfast. The breakfast was below even the typical carbs and sugar provided in Motel 6's across the nation. I went out to eat.
- 3/5
Ice machine did not work and coffee maker in my room did not work
- 5/5
Perfect place for a one-night stay off the 5! Delightful, clean room, loved the Shakespeare theme, and the staff were very sweet and helpful. Will stay here again and recommend to friends passing through Ashland!
- 4/5
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had the standard amenities. Parking is self-parking and there is lots of available spaces. The breakfast was limited and was your typical fare - cold cereal, bread, bagels, coffee, and the ubiquitous waffle maker. I would rate it as average at best.
- 4/5
Meager breakfast. No juice. Also, ice machine broken.
- 4/5
Handicapped room was good. I had some trouble closing the bathroom door because there wasn't much room to close the door and get my wheelchair in. But I really appreciated the prompt delivery of a shower chair when I asked for one. It is an older property, so the carpet is worn, with a few stains. But it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was minimal and the juice was warm! The price was excellent!
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff, good parking. It was the perfect choice for a long road trip stop.
- 2/5
Booked this motel specifically because there was an outdoor pool and the weather was predicted to be super warm. Apparently, May is still winter months. When we arrived the pool was green and still closed. I accept that I did not call in advance but May is closer to Summer than Winter. To make matters worse they apparently were having some type of water or sewer issues and thought that cutting cement and redoing pipes starting at 12:30am and finishing somewhere around 4am is ok. Again, I understand that emergencies happen but there was no communication with those staying. I would have at a minimum appreciated a note taped to the door. I went to the desk the next morning to ask questions and there was no one present that I could find. Overall, just disappointment after disappointment.
- 4/5
Clean room for the most part, great tv channels, and good breakfast. Critiques are; toilet was loose and would move when sitting on it, plus the plastic seat was damaged and would scratch your bottom when soon it. The pool was green with algae and could not be used.
- 5/5
The breakfast was very good and an attendant was there for assistance. Parking was fine and staff extremely helpful.
- 5/5
Clean rooms
- 5/5
This hotel is located about a mile south of central Ashland (where the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is), and it was considerably cheaper than anything else in the area. Even though it wasn't expensive, it offered a good-size, clean, quiet room in a good location for us. The entire staff (Melissa, who checked us in, Adelika, who helped us with breakfast, and Shasta, the manager) were kind, friendly, and made us feel completely welcome. This is now our hotel of choice when we visit Ashland.
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
I was checked in by a lovely woman who accidentally checked me in incorrectly. This caused me to get a 2 AM phone call saying that he was a no-show. Other than that, the location felt safe and comfortable and clean. Request for fruit or eggs at breakfast. Everything was carbohydrates and poor quality Nutrition food friendly staff will return.
- 4/5
Solid motel stay. Clean room, comfortable beds, Keurig in the room and extra pods in the lobby, free continental breakfast (with added waffles 😋). Only downside was that apparently we came during the one week that they were doing maintenance on the pool (which is a bummer, as this was specifically the reason we went with this hotel on Expedia 🙃). Otherwise, Great!
- 5/5
This room was great!
- 5/5
Great room for a decent price. Check-in was easy and quick and room was clean and well laid out.
- 5/5
Ladies on staff were great, place was clean.
- 5/5
Our 2nd of 3 stays. Great value and lovely stay every time.
- 5/5
Front office staff was amazing. Very accommodating to all requests.
- 3/5
Prospero's Flagship Inn offers a clean, comfortable place to sleep - and that's it. Honestly, it was excellent for the price. Skip the breakfast - it might be the most pathetic hotel breakfast ever. But the good news, Case Coffee Roasters is a two minute walk to the south and the spectacular Morning Glory breakfast restaurant is a two minute walk to the north. Morning Glory often has a line, so be sure to hustle over there and get your name on the list. They will text you when your table is ready.
- 5/5
Clean. Close to Shakespeare festival. Good coffee. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Great customer service. Plenty of parking. Clean. Convenient to downtown and the Shakespeare Festival. Wonderful Case coffee shop just across the street.
- 2/5
The room was fine nothing special but the check in after 9pm was terrible! They use a virtual assistant on a kiosk that was very glitchy! On top of that she came me a key to a room that was already occupied!
- 1/5
Have not received the 100 room deposit for the two nights we stayed
- 1/5
The breakfast was awful. The parking fine
- 5/5
Breakfast was adequate but not stellar (waffles & instant oatmeal were the only hot items). I saw no eggs. Room was very clean, parking lot was clean and adequately spaced, and staff was helpful..
- 3/5
Key cards, TV and hair dryer did not work in the 1st room I was given, but they did give me an upgrade to another room very politely. They cleaned the room in spite of the tag on the door, and threw out the food I had bought for the fridge. Parking was no problem and some good eateries very nearby: Sammich and Morning Glory. Overall, not so great, but not so bad.
- 3/5
I knew to expect the kiosk with a webcam person to checkin was going to happen because I was a late checkin. However I was assigned a room that already had a person inside of it!! I got super overwhelmed when the TV was on and stuff was all over the floor just shut the door really fast. My wife and I went back up to the front to resolve issue with kiosk however an onsite staff showed up and was able to resolve our issue. She kindly walked us to out new room double checked it with before leaving for the night. The room quality was overall good. It just find it hard that this could happen in the first place. They take your ID and scan it at the kiosk to verify you with reservations.
- 5/5
Always clean and nice
- 5/5
Always clean and nice and the staff is friendly
- 4/5
Weird after hours virtual check-in after 9. Keys didn’t work twice and had to be replaced. Door handle came off of the bathroom door. It things drained and the warm was warm and seemed to be clean and the actual people at the desk were nice. Pretty solid motel experience. But not the experience it looked like on Expedia. It was passably fine but I won’t be returning because I loved it.
- 3/5
The room seemed a bit tired but the staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Room was spacious clean and convenient! Amazingly reasonable prices!
- 4/5
I got upgraded to 2 queen beds. Not that I used the second bed but it was a huge room.
- 3/5
The room was clean and the front desk staff was very professional and friendly. Two big issues though: I arrived later in the evening, and was only able to check in using a remote desk staff who I think was in the Philippines? She was very professional and friendly, but there was another staff member sitting at the front desk of the hotel, right behind me, so I thought it was very strange that the hotel has contracted out to an offshore worker, presumably to save money. I would gladly pay a few more dollars to support a local community member/worker. I won't be choosing this hotel again as long as they are using a remote front desk agent. Second thing: the pillows were very thick and we all had sore necks in the morning. Other than those two issues, we had a very nice stay. And the Morning Glory Cafe next door had an amazing breakfast!!!
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean and spacious room. Breakfast was okay. The juice and yogurt were warm and I was there when it opened right at 7am. Personally, not a fan of the kiosk for checking out. Would probably stay there again.
- 5/5
It was so cheap
- 5/5
Friendly and efficient staff. Clean room. Badly peeling paint in the bathroom. Overall, an exceptional room at a great price.
- 2/5
Outsourcing the check-in process with the machine connected to the Philippines worked poorly and is very impersonal. The front desk staff was amazing and then ended up checking me in. Trying to save labour by outsourcing. The check-in sucks.. the waffle maker didn’t work - waffle stuck, and the toaster didn’t work. Lame lame breakfast no fruit.
- 5/5
Great place for the price. The front desk staff were excellent. The room was quiet; security lights, low; windows opened; and the location; fantastic - convenient to everything.
- 4/5
Very nice place to stay in Ashland and good prices
- 5/5
Everything from check in to Breakfast before checking out was quick, easy, and fast! Appreciate the stay while passing through!
- 5/5
Prospero's Flagship Inn was a welcome relief on a long journey. This Inn is very affordable, clean and comfortable, quiet and welcoming. The staff was helpful and friendly, and they actually seem to enjoy their jobs! 100% would stay here again.
- 4/5
decent for the price
- 5/5
For the price this establishment was wonderful! Coming back!
- 5/5
just the carpet i personally don’t like, but te room was ok, the next room guest had a little dog barking, but the attendant changed us to another room, so everyone was happy 😃 🐕 , thank you , breakfast continental was good
- 5/5
Staff was great. Only negative was the breakfast could have had eggs and some different types of fruits other than just bananas.
- 4/5
The hotel was in a great location for walking around Ashland and had places to sit outside around the property.
- 2/5
Loud arguments outside my room keep me awake late into the night. I didn’t fit in the shower. but the worst thing that happened was when I checked out. I greeted the person at the desk. She scowled and silently pointed at a computer, where there was a voice saying “are you ready to check out?” It was a voice from somewhere else trying to check me out, even though a human being was standing right there. I hated it. It felt very unwelcoming.
- 3/5
Great price. Location is good for proximity to SOU. Staff is friendly. But the breakfast has gone downhill. I've stayed here 3 times, and each time, the selection and quality have gotten worse. I may not stay here next time.
- 2/5
The breakfast room was not maintained and the selection was the worst I’ve seen. The available fruit was old and the bananas were literally brown. The worker wore gloves when refilling the cereal dispenser, but was repeatedly pulling up her pants with her gloves on before touching the food. She could see the breakfast room was destroyed but did nothing to make it more presentable or inviting for guests to enjoy. Next time, we will spend more money for a cleaner hotel and edible continental breakfast when in Ashland. Do not recommend!
- 4/5
Great breakfast
- 3/5
Breakfast spot too crowded
- 5/5
Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Easy, plentiful parking. Great location.
- 3/5
It was clean and the staff were very friendly. The wifi was terrible, kept dropping for all of us and kids weren't able to get enough of a connection to download shows for our 10hr drive the next day. Staff said it is always spotty. The shower pressure was very weak. The tv was small for how far it was from the bed. Breakfast was standard but the time frame was different from what was printed on the welcome sheet upon arrival.
- 5/5
Possibly the nicest motel i've ever stayed at. Amazing space and up-to-date amenities. I checked in late with a remote front desk agent and everything went well. Parking spaces are wide. Great value for the price!
- 3/5
The carpet was so stained and the shower was so old. The bathroom sink needed a filter on the faucet-water sprayed everywhere.
- 5/5
I felt very safe here.
- 5/5
Great staffand, clean room.
- 3/5
The property needs a facelift
- 5/5
This is a great hotel for the price (about $65 in March). Comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, keurig and breakfast. The carpet is my room had some stains and the outdoor rug is thin and coming up in places. Otherwise, a nice stay.
- 5/5
This was my favorite overnight stop on my trip. Couldn't hear neighbours through walls, staff answered all questions & were really nice, room was comfy & clean, had a nice lil breakfast room. Only stayed one night & couldn't tell ya about any other amenities, but I enjoyed it. There was even a guide in the room for restaurants & such in town which was really nice.
- 5/5
We brought our dog along. Staff made sure we were on the ground floor. Unfortunately due to someone pulling the fire alarm and they had to reset some systems, our door lock mechanism stopped working. We had to move but were put in an upgraded room which was great. Will stay there any time we visit Ashland!
- 5/5
Lovely spot!!
- 4/5
We’ve stayed here a couple times and will stay again. It’s comfortable, nice staff and well priced for what you get.
- 5/5
Great job on the room and staff.
- 5/5
Great staff, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and adequate. Good Mexican restaurant and coffee shop nearby.

Excellent for the price!
- 4/5
Clean, safe room for a night.
- 4/5
Good amenities. Room pretty clean. Close to where I needed to be so that was good. The car alarm in the night that went off three times was not good but not your fault.
- 4/5
Staff members were all extremely courteous and helpful. Good breakfast. Very clean bathroom. At least one "comfortable chair" would've been nice.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
The room was clean and warmed up easily. The bed was comfy. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the freshly-baked cookies were a treat!
- 5/5
Front staff friendly and helpful. Room clean. Perfect for a drive through.
- 1/5
The rooms are so dirty. And there's crackhead hanging out. I could hear them all hours of the night. I was exhausted from no sleep.
- 4/5
Good price
- 4/5
Staff was very nice
- 5/5
Pleasant staff and room was clean
- 5/5
Clean and staff had great attitude with friendly service.
- 3/5
I paid extra for their upgraded room but I don't believe I got what I paid for. The room was very large but had a lot of empty space. The upholstered chair shown in the photo was missing. We only had a small table with 2 chairs for seating. The breakfast was typical for a lower end hotel/motel. Waffles, breads, bananas, yogurt and juice. The coffee was out of order - the worst part! It's not a terrible place to stay and your experience will probably vary based on the room you receive.
- 4/5
Yes. It was
- 4/5
It was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was tiny and a little difficult to close the door once inside. Good location. Good place for a stopover.
- 4/5
Very reasonable price for the quality of accommodations. Limited choices on the breakfast menu.
- 4/5
Room was clean, front desk was polite
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was courteous.
- 5/5
Great location, nice staff, clean room!
- 5/5
The room was clean and cozy. Staff was really friendly and helpful
- 3/5
clean, courteous, no working ice machine on property. Torn wall paper, gouges in wall. Quiet, cookies on checkin.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 4/5
The hotel itself is clean but is a bit older and aesthetically not maintained the best. The breakfast is pretty much all bread. That being said it was quiet and the staff member that took care of us went above and beyond, Sawyer made this place worth staying at.
- 5/5
Room was clean and had what I needed
- 5/5
Price was very reasonable
- 5/5
Stay was great
- 4/5
Not eat breakfast there.
- 4/5
The breakfast is quite limited to packed food foods
- 2/5
I arrived around 10:45pm. Office was closed. Called number left on door and was let in to office. He said very little, as he was still waking up, then handed me the room key. I went to room but it kept blinking red and I could hear TV on inside. I went back to office and called to be let inagain. The attendant gave me another room, and that one also had someone in it. Third room key didnt work either, and had to be replaced. Took no accountability.
- 5/5
For the cost I thought it was a very good value. They could improve the breakfast however I could see how it would be unrealistic to make eggs and sausages every morning if they don't have enough guests. Everything had either dairy or gluten in it unfortunately other than the apples and bananas. I would love to see them add a streaming service to the TV instead of just cable. Staff was very nice. I would definitely book again for the price.
- 5/5
Beautiful room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly, and the hotel is right next to an amazing Mexican restaurant! I will definitely be coming back!
- 5/5
Clean and relatively large room, good in-room amenities, convenient location and reasonable price. Don’t count on the breakfast, however.
- 3/5
Yes. The breakfast is ok, not great
- 3/5
Cleaning could be better...found a pubic hair in the restroom.
- 5/5
Great check in Very comfortable My 5th stay here
- 3/5
Everything was great except the guy above us never slept
- 5/5
Was a great stay
- 1/5
Walls peeling from ceiling. Bathroom smelt like roaches. Rude staff… unwilling to help then lied. Tv to small. “Queen beds” full size. Double mattress. Not a queen. Sick of hotels lying!
- 4/5
The room was fine and the location worked great for where we needed to be.
- 5/5
It was all good!
- 3/5
Smelled funny good overall
- 4/5
There is a free charge point on campus parking lot within walking distance.
- 4/5
Clean and convenient. Staff was great
- 3/5
This place is good in many ways, the rooms look nice, are comfortable, location is good, easy to get in and out, clean and quiet. The problem I've had 2 times here is actually getting into the rooms. Twice they've given us a room that wasn't made up. When we told them this, they gave us a new room with a key that didn't work. We had to go to the office 5 times before we got into our room. We've received keys that didn't work in the rooms on 2 different stays. It took us over 30 min to get into our room the first night of our stay because of these issues, and it was 35 degrees out. So I really hope they can work on the logistics of the keys and systems that help them know the room was clean, and update the locks so they function. The staff was helpful and apologetic. The problem is around keeping up with the locks and the communication with staff around what rooms are ready. Otherwise, this place is a great place to stay.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Staff was fabulous (Crystal), and the room is great. Thank you!
- 2/5
The check in process was long, they charged a deposit to cover the room which was already prepaid. The room had an odour. The bed linens and pillow had stains
- 4/5
The room was fine and the staff help with the reservation was excellent. The problem was that I thought I had made a reservation for Nov. 23 and 24, but it was instead made for Nov. 24 and 25. Staff at the motel fixed this. I don't know how this happened, but will be sure to read the small print on the confirmation more closely in the future.
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
The floor of our room was very dirty. It seemed like it hadn't been mopped in a long time. The breakfast was also disappointing. They had mostly baked goods and grain heavy options (waffles, bagels, etc.), with very little fruit or protein. I've never been to a continental breakfast that didnt have bananas as an option.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable bed, quiet, and nice staff!
- 4/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff
- 4/5
The Flagship Inn was a great budget option for a 6 night stay in Ashland. Walkable to downtown but plenty of parking at the inn. Easy access of the main street that runs straight into downtown. Comfortable bed, good pillows and helpful staff. If you're looking for a good option in Ashland - I'd recommend the Flagship Inn.
- 5/5
Beds are cozy and great coffee variety at breakfast!
- 2/5
The guy at the front desk was flustered and he gave me a key to a room that was actually a mess. There was no bed, it smelled and was clearly being remodeled. It was late, and we were tired and I had to check back in and get a new room. This room was better but overall dumpy. This is more of a motel. We had a 2 Queen room but the beds were actually fulls at fulls and one was in a separate room and my daughter was cold as she couldn't feel the heat in the separate room. TV is small, and not smart. I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable, but bring your own pillow if you are a side sleeper
- 5/5
Great stay. Room was clean and inviting.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
Room fresh, black-out curtains work well. Staff responsive and helpful.
- 5/5
The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
The room was perfect. Very clean and nice size
- 5/5
The room was amazing.
- 5/5
Always stay here when I visit my daughter. Price is right, clean room, great breakfast and centrally located.

- 4/5
The sink faucet's water had a flow problem. Maybe a clogged aerator or screen? I removed the aerator and attempted to locate the problem.
- 5/5
Ok coffee in room
- 5/5
Excellent once again! Our go to place in Ashland.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 3/5
Only a B-, C-
- 5/5
The room was amazing. Staff were very polite and friendly
- 5/5
The room was amazingly spacious and well furnished. Everything was clean and well organized for convenience and comfort with great amenities. I will definitely make this my place to stay from now on.
- 5/5
front staff on top of it, privacy, quiet, clean eazy peezy....recommend all day everyday thank you!!!
- 4/5
Good value; not fancy. Clean and very good location. Breakfast is meh…walk to the other side of Subway and eat at Morning Glory Cafe and you’ll be happier. Beds are far too soft for good sleep. Just my opinions.
- 4/5
Perfect
- 4/5
Left before breakfast hours
- 3/5
Room was in nice condition but the walls are so thin you can hear people in other rooms like they’re in your room
- 4/5
Very Clean
- 5/5
Nice staff and clean room.
- 5/5
Pl
- 5/5
Good hot shower. Morning staff person awesome!
- 5/5
The room and towels werevery clean. The carpet could be replaced, but I am thinking most people don’t take off their shoes , so that explains the stained carpet.
- 5/5
Sheathing on door is peeling. Door stop is so old the rubber has turned to dust. Shower needs more slip strips and a grab bar. Staff was fine too. Breakfast was fine. We won't stay at Flagship again.
- 2/5
The following day when I went to check out there were 3 people in the office. None of them apologized for the inconvenience of switching rooms late at night. No compensation was offered.
- 5/5
Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Exceptional value. I'll be back.
- 5/5
Clean and spacious rooms. Check-in staff was wonderful and very helpful. Larger-sized in-room refrigerator that includes a small freezer. Comes with complimentary breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Rooms was older but clean and everything functioned well.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Room was clean, spacious and quiet. Excellent value for money... have stayed in far worse places for 3 times the cost. Recommend whole heartedly
- 5/5
Easy check in, convenient location.
- 5/5
Convenient location, great price, friendly staff.
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
Everything was clean. Unfortunately we are early risers and the Keurig in our room refused to heat the water for coffee. The breakfast room doesn't open until 7:00.
- 1/5
Our first room was infested with bedbugs. Steer clear of room 210 for sure. Second room didn't seem to have them. Be careful. We're now covered with red itchy welts.
- 1/5
BEDBUGS!!! Our first room had bedbugs. My son and I slept in two different beds and both got bitten about 40 times each. I caught one in the middle of the night and showed it to their night manager. They changed our room but the day manager was rude about it too. We're now using a prescription cream the doctor gave us to get rid of the red welts from the bites.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean room
- 4/5
Place To spend night while Traveling
- 5/5
Cost effective ... not fancy, but great beds! I left before the included breakfast opened so no comment on that. Easy check in and check out.
- 5/5
I would recommend the Flagship Inn of Ashland to anyone! Thank you, Christine Jegan
- 5/5
Room was clean and quiet. We all slept well. Kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast lacked a bit of variety. But will stay again.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable room/bed…Lacking more choice in breakfast room.
- 4/5
Comfy bed, nice clean room, no smells. Would be nice to have movie channels added to the cable TV selections. The only protein at breakfast was the cream cheese. There was yogurt but it all had aspertame, fake sugar, which I can't do. Would have been nice to have some hard boiled eggs or something more healthful.
- 5/5
Great room for the price
- 5/5
I really liked this hotel and would definitely stay again. Safe parking, great location, clean, good views and in summer the pool is great. The breakfast is disappointing but a least the coffee is good.
- 4/5
Clean room. Helpful accommodating staff
- 4/5
Easy smooth check in, comfy beds
- 5/5
Loved the waffles, so happy you provided bananas. It was so quiet and convenient and close to my friend’s hospital. Loved the Mexican restaurant so close to the hotel, and no problems parking. 👍
- 5/5
Great choice, nice hotel.
- 5/5
Good value
- 1/5
Not much selection. Need fresh fruit.
- 5/5
Great room and great service. I'd asked for a scent-neutral room and the Flagship staff came through wonderfully. Comfortable, convenient, everything I needed. I'll be back for sure!
- 4/5
Great location for the price!
- 4/5
Good for the weekend
- 5/5
Easy check-in and check out, room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was surprisingly good for such a small property.
- 5/5
I've come here often for the Shakespeare Festival, and each time, the spaciousness of the room impresses me. It's absolutely immaculate, and I love any breakfast that lets me make waffles. It's a delightful walk to the theaters, and I'll stay there again and again.
- 2/5
This is a very old hotel. There were 2 nice pictures on the wall but other than that, not much going for it.
- 5/5
As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe at Flagship Inn! Thanks for a great stay!
- 2/5
The front desk staff seemed new and untrained, the “free WiFi” virtually nonfunctional, the “breakfast included” was not restocked, the waffle machine broken and we all went out for breakfast. And the bed was lumpy. Its two Star rating is generous. We won’t be staying there again
- 4/5
good overall except their is no blackout drapes. Feels open and less privacy.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Clean room. Helpful staff
- 4/5
Nice big room, a little in need of an upgrade. The entry door stuck badly, hard to open and close.
- 5/5
Nice stay. Clean and comfortable
- 4/5
It would’ve been nice to know there was a AAA discount available and I am assuming the price was a little higher because it was a Saturday night
- 3/5
Clean but rundown looking.
- 5/5
The room decor is maybe a little tired, but they have spent money where it counts. The mattresses, pillows, and bedding were incredibly comfortable. We also loved that the double room consisted of a room with a bed and a second, separate room with a bed. Great if you're traveling with kids! The fridge was sizeable and it worked great. Everything was very clean. Would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
the room was nice and clean. Check in was easy and efficient. Great location next to Mexican restaurant, Morning Glory breakfast. Would stay again.
- 4/5
For a longer stay in Ashland visiting the town or the Shakespeare festival, I would likely choose something closer to the town center. But for somebone on a budget or just a short visit, the hotel is comfortable and clean.
- 4/5
Good enough for a one night stay, but definitely shows its age
- 5/5
Excellent very clean hotel we were very pleased in every way. The location is very quiet with restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the Kuerig coffee in the room. If our travels bring us back we wouldn’t hesitate to rebook.
- 5/5
Great location! Very clean and safe
- 4/5
great room, amazing staff! would stay here again!
- 4/5
Not a fancy place at all. But clean and reliable.
- 4/5
Room was clean, breakfast was ok- woupd recommend black tea in the breakfast area
- 4/5
The room was clean and had a comfortable bed and a good size refrigerator. Their bed pillows were nice and fluffy but too big for me because I sleep on a really thin pillow. Everything was great and I liked the location as it was close to everything. One thing I would have preferred to have is more natural light in my room. I had a window, but one of the shutters couldn't stay open so the room was a bit dark for me. Otherwise very good stay.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, nice pool area
- 5/5
Pet friendly
- 4/5
Reception was excellent . Young man was very helpful and accommodating. Room was comfortable and clean.
- 2/5
Generally, the Flagship Inn of Ashland appeared to be quite rundown and over used. The worst part, however, was the significant noise from air conditioning system, other guests and the nearby Siskiyou Boulevard. It did not enable me to have a good night's rest while there.
- 5/5
Room was clean, dining close
- 4/5
Good location for getting around Ashland. The facility is not fancy but adequate.
- 5/5
Impressed with a delightful check-in. The room was equipped & designed with the traveler in mind. Nice options at breakfast. Will absolutely return if needing accommodation in Ashland.
- 4/5
This place is a reliable place to stay and value priced. The rugs are a bit worn and could be replaced, but the beds are clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Clean. Comfy bed. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room.
- 5/5
Excellent, especially for the price. The bed was super comfy, and the room was well-appointed and nicely decorated. We will return and tell our friends about Flagship.
- 3/5
Below average breakfast. Clean room.
- 1/5
The room smelled as we walked in. Pulled back the sheets to find nasty, stained mattresses. Carpet was filthy. The front desk clerk was very understanding and arranged for a refund. We moved hotels immediately.
- 5/5
I was happily surprised with Flagship Inn. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and clean, The carpet was rather worn. The bed was comfortable and not too soft. The pillows were a but lumpy, but serviceable. The fridge was larger than some and even had a small freezer to refreeze my cooler ice pack. The hair dryer worked well. It was quiet even tho it is near the main road in Ashland. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
- 3/5
The first room had no hot water and a very loud heater/cooling unit. The second room was better, but had other issues. Good location for me but will seek other options on next Ashland visit.
- 4/5
2nd time here. The price is good and the location to SOU is great. I appreciate the friendly staff.
- 5/5
everything is vry good
- 4/5
The room was pretty clean and quiet. We were only there for 2 nights so no housekeeping was required.
- 5/5
We had a room on the back side, away from Siskiyou Ave, and it was very quiet.
- 3/5
Across from the college and fairly close to a very nice little downtown area/ park. The room was presented as clean, but as the shower was used discovered a very clogged drain ( discussing). Too late to fix the issue that night, but did let the office staff know in the morning upon checking out. No compensation was offered other than thanks for letting us know about the problem.
- 3/5
A hole in ceiling over shower, pealing wallpaper in bedroom. The breakfast was marginal.
- 3/5
Now it's not the loveliest property. It is dated, and it's a 2 star place at best. Breakfast is pretty mediocre. But it's relatively clean, things seem to work ok, beds are comfortable. But if I wasn't going to things at SOU, I would probably pick another place.
- 4/5
Wasn't much to the breakfast. Pretty good location, though.
- 5/5
Very quiet
- 3/5
Torn carpets inside and out were a tripping hazard
- 1/5
Well, we woke up in the night to realize that someone else's pajamas were in the bed with us! So that was gross. The front desk was alerted in the morning and said a manager would reach out but as of yet, that has not happened. For the price of the place, not worth it at all. The coffee maker was broken, the curtains were torn. The carpet felt crusty. Im grateful I haven’t seen any bed bugs. Do not recommend. Yuck! Pic of the curtains. Did not take pictures of found pajamas but they were there.
- 5/5
Excellent vlue
- 5/5
Very accommodating staff, clean rooms. Outside dates but price is worth it.
- 5/5
100% loved it
- 1/5
If I could give 0 stars I would. How they are rated on your site is completely a false rating. I will be posting pictures the carpet had so many stains on it I threw my socks away and had to go by sandals. We will never stay or recommend this place ever to anyone.
- 4/5
For the price it is decent. The room we used could us a bit of updating. Main issue was the sheer curtains. They are sun rotted snd literally falling apart, makes the place look very rundown when you walk up to the door. Otherwise it was pretty clean, carpet looked to be fairly recent, and the beds were very comfortable.the comforters provided were too heavy for our liking, even though we had the temperature turned down to 67 degrees in our room we were still roasting.
- 3/5
the walls are thin and if you have noisy neighbors you may need t have some music to drown them out. but for the price i don’t complain. very walkable to food, coffee and campus. always clean, beds sleep well and AC works better than other lower end properties i've stayed at in Ashland. Ill be back again.
- 5/5
Second time staying here. Staff is the best part of the stay. Friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
It was very nice
- 5/5
Easy check in. Clean and decent room. Would stay here again
- 5/5
Wonderful room - great attention to detail! Will stay again!
- 5/5
One the down side, the bathroom finishes were a bit scruffy. There was rot and peeling paint at the top of the shower/wall union and I don't think the toilet was tightened all the way to the floor, so it rocked as you sat on it. The window AC unit is NOISY! Overall, for the price paid there wasn't a whole lot to complain about when it was so convenient for our needs. The front desk person was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Great location. Can walk into town. Close to a grocery store/coffee shop. The room was very nice/comfortable. Plenty of parking. The breakfast is a joke! The first day they literally ran out of food and only had a couple of items left. The second day they did not have any bowls for cereal (did not get the delivery). Fruit was unripe or rotten. The carpet in the room where the breakfast was served was filthy.
- 4/5
Staff was awesome.
- 4/5
This motel has a GREAT location and plenty of parking.
- 3/5
Smell of pets or old carpets. Bed was fine
- 5/5
Excellent !
- 4/5
The room is very quiet! The dining choices are plenty around the hotel in walking distance. The room is clean but a little bit old.
- 5/5
University campus right across the street. Place to charge an electric car near the student dining hall within walking distance. Free Charge Point station.
- 5/5
Rooms were very spacious and had all accommodations. Pool was very clean and was a very soothing temperature.
- 4/5
Easy; usually very clean!
- 5/5
The pool is heated and 7ft at the deepest it was wonderful taking a night swim, my room was clean and a great 60° when i walked in. The food at the mexican resteraunt that shares a parking lot was brilliant. Loved everything about my stay!
- 4/5
Staff was really nice and helpful and free breakfast was really good.
- 5/5
Super comfy bed, nice shower, quiet surroundings.
- 4/5
Keycard did not work twice. Once in late evening.
- 5/5
Clean, nice staff, good location. Close to campus parking lot where there are free charging stations within walking distance.
- 5/5
One mile easy walk to downtown restaurants. Clean large room.
- 3/5
The good: bed was comfy, nice location, quiet, really nice staff. Not good: carpet in my room had multiple dark stains throughout, blackout curtains were stained, bedskirt stained, bolster pillow on the bed had crusted food on it, the tub had hair in it and smelled, bathroom ceiling was stained (or something), air coming from the AC smelled like urine, there were pieces of food and dirt between the night stands and the bed… I see the potential and the place was packed so it clearly does well, but I think the rooms, or at least the one I was in, need a deep cleaning and maintenance. All in all I would rather pay more for a cleaner stay.
- 5/5
I made the reservation for the same while on our car trip. Arrived there for check-in, we had 2 separate rooms for two people each. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. It looks like they remodeled recently. The reception wasn't as updated, but everybody liked the rooms!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
No coffee available until way too late. Room was nice and clean and quiet.
- 3/5
Location is good and restaurant in front is good.
- 5/5
What a great little gem. It was perfect for our night away to see a play.
- 4/5
The front desk staff was amazing! The young woman with the red hair went above and beyond, and was a true problem solver and obviously cared about the customers. The desk crew including the manager, I believe her name was Shasta, were also friendly and professional. But, until the carpeting gets replaced, I'm not sure I would stay here again. It's just too stained, torn, gross looking, and truly I have no idea about the cleanliness. Furniture, bathroom, etc., all fit the price point, staff = AMAZING!, but to the owners, it's past time to replace the carpets.
- 5/5
This is a comfortable, quiet hotel with a Mexican restaurant located on the property.
- 1/5
I had also booked a 2nd stay when I booked the 1st reservation. When I signed in again, I asked if I could have a room away from the street. The office person said probably not because I had made my reservation thru Expedia. She checked the computer and confirmed that I could not. On the 2nd night, I happened to check the door to make sure that it locked when I left the room. It had not. I went to the front desk and had the receptionist come to verify the problem. She said that she would get the maintenance person to fix it before he left. After 45 minutes of waiting, I went to the front desk. The door would not be fixed. I then had to pack my stuff and move to another room, unpack it that night, and then repack a few hours later when I left before 3:00 am to catch a 5:30 am flight. The nicer room did not make up for the poor customer concern that I had experienced during the rest of my stays. If I ever go back to Ashland, OR, I will not stay there.
- 5/5
Stopped on our was to Portland
- 4/5
We stay here because it's clean, comfortable, and a good value for Ashland which has many overpriced motels. We also enjoy the Mexican restaurant across the parking lot. Also, Sammich is across the street. The only negative is the breakfast.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 3/5
Room was comfortable but the bathroom needs work.
- 4/5
OK place, especially for the money
- 5/5
Place was great.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet and conveniently located…a real gem
- 3/5
Stay was ok. Room was large and quiet. Basically clean except the carpet was super stained and really needed to be replaced. obvious it has had a LOT of use.
- 4/5
Loud air conditioner.
- 1/5
Extremely stained carpet and mattress, bed sheets and comforter a mess, dirty curtains, bad tv. I have low standards and this place was awful. Would not recommend.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and they let us check in early
- 5/5
Nice big rooms. Breakfast was very limited. Nothing hot.
- 5/5
Becoming my go to place when passing through. Good value, friendly staff, clean rooms. Thanks
- 5/5
:)
- 1/5
The walls are so thin that you can hear everything in the rooms next to and above you. When people would walk above us - we were on ground floor, we could hear everything. There were stains on the wall in the inner bedroom. While the staff was nice and helpful - the room was just not conducive to rest at all.
- 3/5
Ripped carpets and wallpaper. Dirty outdoor carpet.
- 4/5
Breakfast was modest but appreciated. We were stumped by the shower/bathtub configuration, but the front desk was helpful. Unfortunately the Ice machine was broken in 100 degree weather,
- 4/5
Very quiet and off the interstate
- 5/5
Love staying here when visiting my daughter at SOU.
- 5/5
Friendly front staff person checked us in and switched our assigned room given that I requested a to floor room, away from stairs and the main road. Room was clean but the carpet in our room was badly stained. Beds are comfy with ample pillows. Sheets were pilly, but not torn.
- 4/5
I had a nice stay there after a long day of business and driving.
- 5/5
And we were able to get in early. Nice!
- 3/5
The hotel was quite comfortable. The air conditioning was clean and quiet. The bed was super comfortable. I really liked the swimming pool. The breakfast was excellent.
- 5/5
None
- 4/5
Easy to find, near other businesses, friendly staff, pool, continental breakfast, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!
- 3/5
The breakfast was terrible. The room was not climate-controlled and smelled of mildew. The food itself was below par, even for a low-priced accommodation.
- 4/5
Nice area. Good value.
- 4/5
Reasonably priced stay - clean and comfortable; met the basics.
- 1/5
A very nice experience at The Flagship.
- 4/5
Dark out curtains were heavenly.
- 4/5
Better than I expected - I’d stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean and modern
- 5/5
The ease of getting to downtown Ashland was what made us choose this facility. It also had very good amenities, such as the pool, breakfast, and fit our budget. The beds were very comfortable also.
