Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The retro decor and mid-century modern vibe are appreciated by many guests. However, some guests find the property dated and in need of updates, particularly in the rooms and bathrooms. The breakfast offerings are also a point of contention, with some guests praising the variety and quality, while others find it lacking.
- Cleanliness
- Comfortable rooms and beds
- Dated property and rooms
- Inconsistent breakfast quality
- 5/5
Unfortunately breakfast is not provided nor a voucher. They have a cafe onsite yet no breakfast option. That is a downside.
- 4/5
Sign indicating they had stepped away temporarily with no ETA.. Although I was intending to use the pool and jacuzzi, I never did as it looked a bit dated and not super clean. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and towels were thick and very plush. Restaurant was amazing!!

- 5/5
Excellent cleanliness, beautiful mcm hotel with all conveniences. Dog friendly, electric car charging (leve 1 overnight) . Friendly and well trained staff. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Only down sides are the additional charge for a pool view room and the discontinued breakfast buffet. The buffet was excellent pre-covid and when restarted after was still good. So sad it's gone.
- 4/5
large and comfortable room and bed. very convenient location and very quick checkin.
- 4/5
The room was adequate, could have been a little cleaner. The view was great, the staff were efficient, courteous, professional. I enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Good variety of options at the cafe. We’ll be back!
- 5/5
The Ashland Hills hotel and suites offered an excellent location, convenient to the freeway and an easy trip to downtown Ashland. The rooms are clean and spacious with all amenities and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
- 4/5
We will stay again as the property is lovely, the rooms comfortable and there is easy access to downtown Ashland. We had to wait to check as there was a line of guests with only one staff member behind the desk. We found the check in fairly robotic and, unfortunately, we were not offered a choice of room location. Also a bowl of fresh fruit in the coffee room would have been a nice addition to the amenities.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay. Great location and on site amenities. Will come back again.
- 2/5
Staff was not helpful at all. Had a lot of items to unload and they would not relocate our room or work with us because they said we booked on a third party platform and not on their website. They blamed us for booking on Expedia saying they can’t do anything for us.
- 3/5
It was okay
- 3/5
The mattress are needing to be replaced, which is why you stay at hotels, to sleep. The beds were not comfortable because of the depressions. We asked for a quiet room and the hotel was not close to full and they put us next to a very noisy couple, we had to call the front desk three times to see if they could doing anything. They didn’t, we will never stay there again.
- 4.5/5
It’s one of our regular stops on the way to Portland. We have stayed at the property more than 100 times. During busy times we avoid paying elevated prices
- 1.5/5
old - musty smell. very expensive for such a poor hotel
- 4/5
We really like this hotel a lot. The staff is great. Unfortunately, the hot tub has been broken the last 2 times we have been here. We were disappointed that when we checked in we were not informed about it not working, nor were we offered any type of compensation. The hot tub is one of the main reasons we like staying here. Also, since the new owners a corporation, took over, there is no longer the complimentary breakfast or the shuttle that took us into town.
- 0.5/5
Nice view The staff and management they and you made it impossible to modify my booking even though it was still available to modify my stay from three days to two days
- 1.5/5
check in staff nice food was lousy, little variety and expensive
- 5/5
Pretty location
- 4/5
Pet friendly area was convenient. The pool was nice Not having joint rooms that were the same type of room. Not having the hot tub working.
- 5/5
Great stay. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Would stay again.
- 4/5
I liked the fact that this property is easy to access. It’s close to I5 freeway and not that far from downtown Ashland. I didn’t like that we had to move rooms because a puppy was whining. The staff was very understanding and took care of moving us immediately.
- 5/5
Nice clean room. Good location.
- 5/5
Mid century modern but impeccably clean. Worth the price, rooms are so comfortable and well appointed, cork screws and glasses included, dog friendly, with enclosed park at rear ( lots of poop). Really good room service food, breakfast is not so hot. Great staff, all of them, charging for electric cars is level 1 but works and is cheap. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great place
- 4.5/5
HOT TUB NOT WORKING...for over 2 weeks... Cafe expensive no perks for being hotel guest ...
- 5/5
Classic older hotel with a mid century vibe. Rooms are very large and the beds comfy. Fairly new owners have nicely refurbished some of the public rooms, but the restaurant lost the cold wine sales refrigerator and most every prepared food and drink items. Still a great place to stay in Ashland.
- 2/5
I chose this place because they had a hot tub and continental breakfast, however, when we arrived the hot tub was out of order( this info should be readily available upon online booking. We had been hiking in the mountains and were desperately in need of a soak), and we were told the breakfast wasn’t included on “the side of the hotel” we were staying. The coffee in the room was poor quality and weak to boot. The beds were comfortable though and good hot water pressure in the shower. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was clean, pretty big as well. I loved that they has q-tips and the shampoo/conditioner pumps. I will be staying here again
- 4/5
We've stayed here several times. It's a lovely hotel. We really love the large rooms. They are comfortable, and well lit . The pool area is very nice. The hot tub was broken this time, but it's usually fine. If we have any complaint it's that the bar/res

- 4/5
Easy freeway access. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. The noise from other guests in the hallway corridor is annoying. The bathroom tub/ shower need to be remodeled soon. What happened to the egg chair???

- 5/5
Felt like I got overcharged some for pet fees and incidental etc.
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
Very clean rooms; very helpful staff. Restaurant food for breakfast and dinner was excellent. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was very large and clean. It is a nice hotel and we will stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay at a reasonable price. Loved the dog park, EV charging and courtyard. Only negative was no table for the outside patio and the showerhead wasn’t great (sprayed everywhere). We’ll definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Very nice property! Very spacious room. Onsite restaurant was nicely decorated and food was good. Only disappointment was the Hot Tub was down for maintenance or something.
- 4/5
Hotel had great view of the mountains. Loved it. The problem I had was that I called the front desk from my room phone and kept getting a busy signal. This lasted for 3 days. Also, the busy signal occurred with the Luna restaurant. I had to call from my cell phone to get either place.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly; room was clean. Location is right off the freeway, so a little more congested/noisy than what the description read. The hotel was not full by any means, and yet when we asked for a room not facing the parking lot/road, we were upcharged from our original reservation by 15.00. After all said and done (taxes, surcharges, etc.) our 1 night stay for a single king room was over $300; a little more than what it was worth.
- 5/5
Love the vibe every time I stay. The Luna Cafe is an excellent convenient choice for dinner too.
- 4.5/5
The proximity to the freeway was good. But it was also quiet at night. We were in the “E” wing which was nice. And we could park our car close to our room and see it from the balconey. It would be nice if there was a complimentary breakfast… but i get that it’s a huge hotel. Probably difficult to pull that off.
- 4/5
Pretty clean but had a couple spiders in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Great location, amenities were perfect, easy access to downtown Ashland.
- 5/5
Didn't love walking through the smoker area, which is too close to the entrance.
- 5/5
Have stopped here several times on my back and forth to California. Staff and facilities have always been excellent
- 5/5
No
- 4/5
Close to the freeway for easy on and off. There was a fun brew pub we could walk to. Grounds were pretty and some units faced toward the hills and away from the freeway. Rooms were spacious and had microwave and frig. It was a bit dated. Breakfast was not included.
- 5/5
We were there on Friday and Saturday night and they had a comedian. I’m glad we got to see a show at our hotel. It was entertaining and convenient. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
Super cute, loved the vibe! Can’t comment on most amenities as we weren’t there for long. We spoke to w staff members and both were fairly friendly. I would visit again, but there were a couple of issues. There was an excessive amount of hair on the bathroom floor- so much that I cleaned it. My biggest issue was that our balcony was completely open to another rooms balcony, which I found odd and fairly unsafe. If I ever need to stay again- I would definitely make sure I got a room that wasn’t open to another, basically.
- 4/5
Pet friendly beautiful grounds
- 4/5
Our room was clean. Smelled a little musty. A little dated. Overall a good stay.
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay while passing through Ashland, easy location to get to from freeway and to go into town for a meal. Didn't try their restaurant or pool this time around, but great in the past. Nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and competent. The rooms were easily accessible from the parking lot. The grounds were well maintained. But my favorite part was the decor in the halls and rooms. Delightfully dated in an upgraded, clean, and well maintained interior. Original 60's beatnik wall art and unique statement piece functional decor along with modern. It felt like the management really cared about the experience of staying here. I will definitely stay again as I travel through a few times a year.
- 4/5
Luna Cafe was understaffed
- 4/5
The room was clean and spacious for our family of 5. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Added resort fee. No more breakfast buffet. Uncomfortable mattress. This was not a good stay.
- 5/5
Clean room and dog friendly!
- 4/5
disappointed that breakfast was not included
- 4/5
I understand the staffing and expense side, and that is I’m sure considerable. However the convenience for your guests is also very considerable. The option you have in place is both expensive and not very appetizing. ( it was not a good meal) Everything else about your hotel is really very very good. I hope you reconsider your decision to end the breakfast. An extra charge, along with a reduction in wasted food and portioned products would go a long way. Even with a wait time to have the food ready is better than downstairs. But I would guess the rent they pay helps you out too. Use their space for the breakfast and open the upstairs to something else. Something else would work here and I’d love it if it could be found.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly, the room comfortable, the restaurant was convenient, and the food and service was great!
- 3.5/5
Nice grounds. A little run down. The layout is super confusing and could use much better signage to navigate the premises
- 4/5
Most rooms were clean, but a couple rooms had ants and possible bedbug issues. Pickleball courts, fitness room, and hot tub + pool were nice to use. Cafe was good but maybe a little pricey and not many options compared to a diner-type restaurant. Tried to use bikes but one of them had a flat tire, which was promptly fixed by hotel maintenance guys. Fairly quiet and peaceful in general. Nice landscaping + natural views.
- 3/5
Some suites have a view. The regular hotel rooms mostly have a view of the people where you can hear everything or the road. The lobby area is really cute and vibey. The rooms are outdated though. It feels like they’re trying to use the “retro” vibe to mask the fact that some stuff is just old. Old showers, shower head is low if you’re tall, doors outdated, etc. Overall, it’s fine but I’ll probably stay somewhere else in the future.
- 4/5
Supper at Luna was plentiful and the breakfast at Luna was delicious!
- 4/5
Beginning to show it's age. No free breakfast any more
- 3/5
Clean and dated room, everything looked tired
- 5/5
Awesome location, with gorgeous views of the Siskiyou and Cascade Mtns. Also a great spot if you have a pet- they even have a dog park although we walked around the beautiful landscaped grounds with our dog. Motel clean. I used and enjoyed having the fitness room. It was pretty quiet too. I was really impressed and would definitely stay again.
- 4.5/5
Luxurious feel without the luxury price.
- 5/5
This was our fourth stay over the past month. Right off the freeway so easy access. Suggest requesting an inside room farther away from traffic which is relatively light for the season. Would return.
- 5/5
Hot tub is clean and nice. Room is clean and love the patio. Staff was nice and accommodating
- 4/5
There was left over food in the fridge from the previous guest. Makes you wonder about what other items might be missed.
- 3/5
Love this place and stay regularly, but now have no free breakfast and it’s the same price, for less amenities. Wont stay again sadly
- 4/5
Nice retro resort style property with lots to explore. The style of this hotel is great and with a couple tweaks, could easily be a destination resort! There is somewhat of a weirdness because I think people live there in certain areas. Also I was certain that Booking.com showed it had breakfast included and they have a complete upstairs area made for a breakfast bar yet no breakfast was available.
- 5/5
Room was clean and good size.
- 5/5
This was our third stay over the past month. Very clean. Drains worked well with no water backup. Sift towels. Large room size. No funny smell. We had outside room so street traffic can be heard but manageable. In room conditioner worked fine, fan noise fair. Had to pull out small refrigerator to plug back in. Easy to get to and from freeway.
- 5/5
We had a great experience at this hotel. We enjoyed the retro vibe the furnishings and decor provided and were very impressed and appreciative of the cleanliness of the hotel.
- 5/5
Really clean really nice place to stay
- 5/5
The staff in the restaurant and bar were very accommodating and friendly
- 3/5
Outdated but affordable
- 5/5
Cafe prices very expensive but rest are very good
- 5/5
The new corporate owners have removed these ammenities.
- 5/5
Totally recommend this hotel. Grounds are great. Food and lounge very nice. Dog park and RV spaces available too. Rooms clean and spacious with patios out to car or grace on lower level.
- 5/5
Great value, fun 70’s vibe, large rooms
- 5/5
Good beds
- 5/5
We were here last week and enjoyed our stay so much that we rebooked this stay without checking for another hotel. We requested an inside room as the room last week had noise from freeway traffic. This room was squeaky clean as was the room last week. The restaurant is open 7am to 2pm and 5pm to 9pm. Chocolate Convention is being held this weekend. Would stick with this facility when we pass through.
- 5/5
I love staying here. We have a yearly gala at this location and I'm always excited to have an excuse for a night away from home.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable
- 4/5
Friendly Staff, good location.
- 4/5
The staff is great, and the hotel’s pet policy makes traveling with dogs easy.
- 4/5
I love the value for our money. Though am older hotel, our room was clean, water was hot, bed was comfortable and a pleasant surprise the room was quite large. Was everything we needed for our weekend in Ashland to watch softball
- 5/5
The room was spotless, the bathroom was also clean. This was an accessible room. Air was fresh. Air conditioner was quiet. The only issue was snoring from the guest on the floor above. Would consider staying for next visit.
- 5/5
Convenient location, Rooms clean, courteous staff. We always stay here on our way through from Portland to San Frasncisco. We have never been disappointed.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable room. Thank you.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious rooms! Great for pets with a good sized fenced off leash area on the grounds.
- 5/5
Helpful stuff, Clean and spacious room. Nice location only a few minutes drive to downtown and close to I 5 entrance.
- 5/5
Spotless clean. Great service. Amazing venue and dog friendly
- 4/5
Front desk staff were very helpful and gave us a nice room with direct access to the lawn for our four-legged companion. Room was clean though the light over the round coffee table gave everything a greenish hue. I suggest you change that to a better modern one.
- 5/5
We had a great stay. The hotel is clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great hotel I highly recommend 😊
- 4/5
I didnt stay long, but it was a great spot to rest after driving for 14 hours. It felt retro and modern at the same time. Interesting vibe. It was quiet and clean.
- 4/5
On the whole everything was pretty nice, though the room could have been detail cleaned a little more. The staff were great. They have gnomes! I would stay again.
- 4/5
No free breakfast was disappointing. The room was very nice and clean though.
- 5/5
Clean room, front desk service, and Luna Cafe, was geeat.
- 5/5
Room was very spacious and clean. This is our second time and we plan on staying here everytime we are in Ashland.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
The hotel and room was extremely clean and comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful at night. Sleeping was so nice on the nice mattress and the pillows and blankets were awesome.
- 5/5
The room was clean, and the location is convenient and safe.
- 5/5
I will continue to use this hotel, but avoid the restaurant and bar
- 5/5
We stay here every other year on our way to Seattle for the holidays. Awesome hotel with great staff.
- 5/5
Easy check in, clean room, and dog friendly.
- 5/5
Nice, clean room. Super dog-friendly. There’s even a dog park! The staff was great.
- 5/5
Great place to stay and hreat svc
- 5/5
Easy to check in, quiet, and staff was helpful
- 5/5
The potential of wanting to come back for a long stay in different seasons.
- 5/5
Beds were very comfortable. Bedding was so warm. Very spacious and the grounds were also very nice. Loved it . Will recommend to everyone.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, spacious room.
- 3/5
The desk attendant appeared so disinterested in our check in. He should have told us we could walk through interior halls to reach our room instead of across the dark parking lot in the cold.
- 5/5
Outstanding property with great staff.
- 5/5
What a great place to stay
- 1/5
Breakfast no longer included. Hot tub, not working. Had the nerve to still try to charge a resort fee. Gave really poor directions to the room.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Have stayed here o/n en route for several years. Room tired, clean. Carpets ripped. Accommodated our request for ground floor room. Disappointed that breakfast is no longer included.
- 3/5
The shower drains very slow.
- 4/5
Yes to Pets
- 5/5
A great place
- 5/5
The staff is warm and friendly. The rooms are spotless and well equipped. I love stopping here!
- 2/5
I specifically asked for a room with a tub, rather than shower only, but arrived to a room with a shower. The desk clerk kindly offered to move me, but I was too tired and in too much pain to do so. That would have been okay, but then the shower controls had no directions and required I putll the handle out, which was very difficult, and I feared causing a break. I did manage to get it started and took a shower but directions would have helped. I made the mistake of eating breakfast downstairs before leaving and the eggs felt and tasted like powdered and the breakfast was awful. Hard to mess up breakfast, but there you go and I will not return.
- 5/5
A very great stay with our two dogs!
- 5/5
Good stay. Sadly they don't offer a complimentary breakfast buffet anymore.
- 3/5
Charged a Resort Fee, only $10, so no big deal BUT I thought you were required now to include that in the price, plus I got nothing for the resort fee as it was winter and the pool is closed. We didn't even bring suits because of that so could not utilize the hottub which apparently was open.
- 3/5
Property is very dated, in deep need of a refresh. My bed was sloped from having been slept in so much…mattress needs repplacing. Luna, the Cafe was pleasant and efficient, food was good.
- 5/5
I love staying here because the decoration is so great and the food and service is phenomenal.
- 3/5
Extra $73 fees upon arrival in addition to stated and paid price and taxes before
- 5/5
Hotel staff friendly
- 4/5
It is a little dated, (thus 4 instead of 5 stars) but the rooms are quite large, very clean and well appointed. I had the cheapest room, with two queen beds and it had a lot of space for a hotel room. The beds were comfy and had plenty of pillows. The staff was quite helpful. The pool looked nice - thought I didn't swim. The fitness center was on the small side with only one bench (dumbells from 5 - 60 lbs) and 5 cardio machines, plus one resistance machine. Still it was nice to have a fitness center. They should put a water dispenser in it, though, cause I got thirsty and my only choice for water was a bathroom sink. All in all a very nice stay.
- 5/5
Large clean room, comfortable bed, friendly accommodating staff, fun midcentury art and aesthetic. Nice hot tub!
- 5/5
I booked a room last minute due to car trouble on the highway. The staff were very friendly and quickly accommodated my family.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Clean and roomy room. I also like the place is quiet.
- 5/5
Clean hotel perfect stop over with our dog. We had a sliding glass door onto a courtyard great for letting our dog out to the bathroom. Luna restaurant was tasty fish and chips. Nice to sit by the fire place.
- 5/5
Quick check in. Large lobby and easy parking.
- 5/5
Appreciate the cleanliness &. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Friendly check in experience. Room was comfy and ideal and clean.
- 5/5
Excellent stay. We would go there again.
- 5/5
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
The room was clean. Our only complaint was the curtain in the second room did not make the room dark.
- 4/5
Room clean bed comfortable
- 3/5
The room heater sounded like a lawnmower all night, very little sleep. The made to order breakfast is just a restraint, no discount no continental breakfast.
- 5/5
Quiet. Comfy bed
- 5/5
Comfortable stay
- 3/5
Nice facilities but dated.
- 5/5
Good, clean, comfortable
- 4/5
all good
- 5/5
Love this adorable place, will definitely come back!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, property and room was clean. Restaurant staff was great, food was so so.
- 3/5
The rooms are nice but need to be updated. Continental breakfast is no longer included and neither are coupons for the cafe. Called to confirm the accommodations prior to my stay and “Josh” was unfriendly.
- 1/5
We first entered our “premium king" room we were inundated by the smell of DOG! We have been pet owners all of our life but this was awful. We called the front desk after realizing even opening the windows did not help. They offered us a room on the third floor where "NO Pets are allowed" But it would not be the "premium king". So we moved to the king room, and the room itself was 100% better, remodeled, larger TV and the bathroom was updated, so that was nice. Three minutes after settling in to watch the world series game one. Across the hall on the floor where no animals are allowed came a constant bark! Picked up the phone again, ohhh there are not supposed to be any dogs! The barking stopped. After our Dodgers lost, we headed out for dinner, to pass 2 more large dogs being walked to their rooms on the third floor. Deceptive to say the least! The hotel is not as pictured, very ran down from a few years ago. Appears to be a homeless camp out back and the entrance door did not lock to the outside. Upon check out very cold and unfriendly. Honestly in the hundreds of stays this was in our top five of the WORST! Sad, especially as they host the wonderful chocolate festival and have a lot of potential to be an upscale hotel. Definitely overpriced and would not recommend. Bed was comfortable and the TV was nice. The room was not clean including a large clump of hair on the bathroom floor, tp in the peep hole and the shower drained very slow you had to stand in 2 inches of water.
- 5/5
Sunrise is spectacular.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
This hotel is an expansive, beautiful propert. I would recommend for any kind of traveler. The hottub was an extra bonus.
- 4/5
I just stopped on my way through. The hotel was perfectly fine. I just wish there was a little more life in the bar. It was empty and kind of depressing.
- 5/5
This is an incredible property! The spaces are unqiue and you can see they have repurposed rooms and renovated things over the years. I love gow sprawling it is and how homey it feels-while still feeling upscale.
- 3/5
Very nice front desk staff and spacious rooms with comfy beds. However, the rooms are quite run down/dated. Ours had no shampoo or body wash in the dispensers, a dirty diaper left behind in the night table shelf, and the refrigerator was so loud we just unplugged it.
- 4/5
Nice simple hotel. Comfortable and convenient location. Nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate.
- 2/5

- 5/5
Nice place to break up the drive from Seattle to San Francisco
- 4/5
The front desk staff was exceptionally nice. Parking lot and self parking great. Property was clean. This is definitely a VINTAGE hotel. Design from the 1968-1975 timeframe. I believe rather than remodel things, they designed the hotel around this 1970s vintage theme. For example our bathroom had my grandmothers yellow tile shower and hanging light fixtures and wooden doors. Overall the hotel was quiet, convenient, and clean. We only stayed one night on our way to Portland. No complaints and found a fabulous brewery/restaurant nearby within walking distance call Caldera.
- 5/5
Clean room and helpful staff. Carpet in our room need to be changed hopefully to tile as it’s more hygienic.
- 5/5
Staff was very accommodating
- 5/5
Very clean room
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
clean bath room. friendly staff. spacious room.
- 5/5
A lovely room, quiet, hot tub is perfect
- 3/5
This hotel is aged and in need of repair and renovation. It has long hallways to get to a room with poor signage and limited number of elevators that are poorly located. Bathtub was not draining and sink faucet leaking. Luna Cafe is understaffed, has limited menu options, and breakfast was disappointing. Will not comeback and don't recommend it.
- 5/5
Hotel was spotless clean as usual. We got a pet friendly room near the back, very spacious. Check in was friendly and efficient despite multiple conferences being held.
- 5/5
There are roaches by the hot tub beware, only saw them outside.
- 5/5
Love this place!
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Well, I'm in the dog wing so you can't expect everything to be spotless, but it's fine. It's great that it's a dog friendly hotel.
- 3/5
Cleanliness was fine…
- 1/5
No food service, room service, pet stains and dog poop everywhere. Lots of homeless people hanging around. I will never stay here again. And the price was as much as a nicer downtown location. Yuk
- 5/5
Very pet friendly property. Greeted us with treats for our two dogs. Clean room albeit a little dated. But clean. Helpful staff. They did offer a dog park area but clearly people do not respect the directions of picking up after their own pets. Lots of dog waste unfortunately. Overall comfortable stay and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Wonderful place! Quite and safe! Very friendly and professional staff. Location is also pretty good. Beatiful views around the hotel.

- 5/5
Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Atmosphere. Nostalgia..
- 4/5
Used to have complimentary breakfast. Will still stay here when in town. Great value. The inter door stuck was difficult to open. Would be nicer to upgrade TV’s. Guide channel or streaming would be great.

Cute little resort, combines a cool retro look and feel with clean and up to date rooms. Restaurant inside and another one right across the street, 90 minute drive to Crater Lake
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay - friendly, clean, wonderful
- 4/5
Layout of property was a bit confusing better signage but overall lovely area and property
- 4/5
Nice place.
- 5/5
Great clean spacious rooms with a cool retro vibe
- 5/5
Pet friendly. Thank you
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and lots of parking. Location is great close to everything.
- 5/5
Adorable and newly renovated. Other reviews suggested asking for an upgraded room to get a newly renovated. We did and it was great. Pool is awesome. The on-site food was excellent - but staff was a little overwhelmed.
- 5/5
Customer service is always excellent ⚜️
- 3/5
Lobby, restaurant & common upgraded but rooms are old & not great. Was clean but needed upgrades
- 3/5
Large property with onsite food and an outdoor pool. Room was dated and rundown. Extremely loud air conditioner and stale smell in room and hallways.
- 3/5
This was my 5th-6th stay over 3 years that I used to look forward to for comfort and service. The condition of the hotel has slightly decreased and they no longer have the buffet breakfast. But, of course, their rates have gone up. It’s now just an ok place for a one night stop over. The retro furniture now just looks dated.

Dead bugs in the hot tub - earwigs, spiders, yellowjackets, bees. Luna Cafe - please know there is no table service! they had thing in the room promoting ordering online from the restaurant , but it didn’t work, so I went downstairs for a burger. But the menu there was different from the one online. When I expressed confusion, the woman at the counter actually sighed and rolled her eyes and said do you want a burger or not. So I did get a burger and it was terrible. Soggy. How can you mess up a hamburger. The patty was smaller than the supposed ⅓ pound. Soggy tomatoes and too much mayo made the whole thing slippery and the bun was just - wet. The fries were overcooked. The tv is too small for the distance from the bed. The building has weird layout that makes it easy to get lost. Members of a college softball team were wandering around looking for their rooms. I was going to give two stars, but after reliving in my mind the burger ordeal and the moldy fridge, and the difficulty sleeping on scratchy sheets, and the earwigs in the hot tub, it’s a one star.

Cute, clean hotel right off of I-5. Easy to find. Friendly staff and nice grounds
- 4/5
The hotel is easy to find and quiet. The retro 70s decor works. We had a delicious breakfast at the cafe.
- 5/5
Loved the playground for the grandkids.
- 3/5
Basically this hotel is just good enough, it’s nothing special and the price they charge is too high for what you get. $100 would have been reasonable, not 180. We stayed at the best western across the street another night and it was only slightly better and also overpriced.
- 5/5
This is our second time staying here and we absolutely love the property the amenities. The only thing we wish is that the breakfast was still available. We were kind of bummed that that was not an option.
- 5/5
Front desk welcoming and nice
- 3/5
Had a brm suite. Very cramped. Small kitchenette but no utensils no glasses or even silverware no paper towels. Good: provided 6 good quality pillows.
- 5/5
Great place - only stayed one night on drive from Oregon to California so did not use many services/amenities.
- 5/5
Great place to have a conference
- 4/5
A nice hotel conveniently located near I 5. Quiet room, well supplied bathroom and friendly front desk staff. Only 10 minutes away from downtown Ashland.
- 4/5
Always enjoy our stay in Ashland. Quiet and spacious rooms.
- 5/5
Lovely, updated property. Lots of free parking. Great pool and hot tub. Spacious accommodations. Easy access to Ashland and nearby attractions
- 3/5
Clean enough. Helpful front desk staff. Room needed updating.
- 5/5
Super clean room! Had great amenities
- 5/5
It was a great place to stay and recommend booking here.
- 5/5
Right off 5.
- 5/5
Ashland Hotel and Suites is my preferred accommodation when I’m in Ashland. It’s a lovely property, and conveniently located close to I-5.
- 5/5
Fun old hotel worth staying at for sure
- 2/5
King premier suite was not in the best condition, very weird layout as well. Room cleaning and towel replacement is not everyday, only available every 3 days. I requested a cleaning and asked the front desk for service and they never did it. Our keycards were also turned off randomly during our stay and we were locked out of our building and room, had to go and get new ones at the front desk.
- 4/5
Nice facility
- 5/5
Place was clean and the staff was great.
- 1/5
. I had,a reaction to whatever animals were in the room previously. The Pic are beautiful on site very deceiving on what you get.
- 4/5
Such a great spot for families. Hotel food is excellent, too. So much to do here.
- 5/5
We have stayed here before traveling between the bay area and Portland and it's the best! Nice restaurant and bar, clean rooms, nice pool, nice staff, pretty property, and near the highway if you're just passing through.
- 1/5
This place reeks of a 70s roadside motel — lipstick on a pig. The whole hotel smells, housekeeping only shows up every three days (if that), and the so-called “suites” have zero amenities. Honestly, even an extended stay does better than this overpriced dump. The staff? Rude, dismissive, and not the least bit helpful. Combine that with “interesting” characters wandering the property, and you start to wonder why they charge so much for such a miserable experience. Save yourself the money, the frustration, and the disappointment. This is one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
- 4/5
We've stayed there before - always great - need more help at Lunas Cafe - tried to get a re-fill on my morning coffee (behind the counter) never got it (food was good though) - and the yellow jackets prevented any outside seating - one of my friends was stung.
- 4/5
It’s OK
- 5/5
It was a hot weekend in Ashland, and the pool was perfect. This hotel has style, beautiful grounds, and food service that's reasonably-priced. The menu is limited, but everything we ate was healthy and delicious - and deliverable to the pool. It looks like this would be a fantastic event space, too.
- 4/5
Great property, but ask for the inner court. The roadside units are loud at night. The rooms are a little dated, but it is worth staying here.
- 5/5
The Inn is very contender winery access and close to I5. Getting downtown was a breeze. The cafe is better than we expected. Loved their fries!
- 5/5
I really like the unique amenities on this property. It is super kid friendly. Ot has a large pool, a playfround, tennis courts and plenty of places on property to sit and relax.
- 5/5
En route to Seattle. Love how convenient and spacious.
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful view
- 3/5
Air conditioner was necessary because of the warm weather but every time it turned on vibrated so loud that it woke both of us up over and over again all night long.
- 4/5
Funky throwback, dated, but very clean, great room, good bed, great WiFi, quiet, good amenities, great location. No complaints.
- 4/5
The property was retro but clean. They probably need to do some updates to the rooms and maybe have designated rooms for dogs. Our room smelled like dog and had a musty odor.
- 4/5
Close to downtown
- 5/5
Beautiful grounds surrounding the property. Little dissapointed spa is gone but got over that quickly.
- 3/5
We’ve stayed there for years & loved it. This time around we noticed a bit of a decline in maintenance & upkeep: torn curtains, dirty jacuzzi, broken closet doors. In addition, they’ve discontinued the continental bfast & raised the room rates. We’re on the fence if we’ll book next year’s vacation there or find somewhere else.
- 4/5
In the cafe was good - they were very under staffed though. The hotel is cute, could use a little updating and the refillable bottles in the shower instead of those tiny bottles that aren’t big enough for anyone’s head with hair. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Beds were very comfortable and room was spacious and very clean. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel gym had a variety of machines.
- 5/5
It was a very nice stay. Super cute place.
- 5/5
We will be back! Great hotel
- 5/5
Beautiful location, mid century modern resort, with all the services. Electric charging, lush landscaping and spotless clean well equipped rooms. Highly recommend, especially as it’s pet friendly with a fenced in dog park at the rear.
- 5/5
Love the jr suite, the beautiful pool area and the convenient dog park.
- 5/5
This was a clean, well maintained hotel with a friendly helpful staff. The breakfasts were delicious! It was in a great location so that we could visit the Oregon Shakespeare festival and other downtown restaurants. The pool and hot tub were wonderful!
- 4/5
It was too soft and it seem to cave in a bit in the middle. Also the light fixture on the ceiling hanging down right above dining table is rather an obscure length that it is easy to hit your head when trying to get stand up.
- 3/5
It felt tired. Amenities for pets seem diminished. Very sad that they don't allow guests to stay in the suites in back like the old days. Our dog is too old to walk to the back area where the dog lawn is.
- 4/5
Truly enjoyed the outside dining area, the pool and the hot tub!
- 2/5
While our room was a good size, the property felt dirty and outdated. Our room and hallways had a strong musty odor, the screen door to the balcony broken, carpet was old and dingy, and bedding thin. The lobby and cafe area was updated, but everything else could use a refresh.
- 5/5
Excellent motel. Conveniently located. Clean. Large rooms
- 4/5
Charming, retro-feel property in a quiet area of town, but close to everything. The views from the hotel are gorgeous, as are the grounds. Lovely flowers everywhere and well maintained. They are in the process of updating all the rooms, so worth it to ask for an updated room. Our only complaint was that the bed was overly soft, but overall, we would absolutely stay here again!
- 5/5
We love this hotel when we visit Ashland as a family! It’s prob our 4th or 5th stay. It’s the perfect place to stay with kids. I appreciate the value and quality and the pool/hot tub and other amenities for the kids. And having a fun coffee shop/cafe right there adds so much! We think the fun vibe ads to the fun of the hotel and look forward to our next stay! (Pro tip-families, consider the various suite options! That extra space and the additional beds make a big difference in everyone being comfortable and having fun.)
- 3/5
Pictures online differed from what it actually was. This was rated a 9.0, I don’t feel like it was. Felt old and outdated. I was worried about safety, lock on sliding glass door and chain lock on room door.
- 5/5
We love staying at Ashland Hills! We always travel with our dog and they make our stay comfortable and fun. Great big rooms, lots of places to walk the dog and a nice gym for the morning workout. Try the turkey club, it’s incredible!
- 5/5
Pleasant clean environment
- 5/5
The go-to stay when in the Ashland area. Sweet retro decor, clean and comfortable. Food could be improved but overall a favorite
- 5/5
Great stay! I’ll be back.
- 4/5
For hotel improvement, it would be convenient for guests if there were some trash receptacles in the hallways. Our fan did not work in the bathroom. Overall, we had an amazing stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was a very nice surprise. The room was comfortable and very clean. Lots of little nice add on. Filtered water down the hall, nice towels, beautiful setting.
- 5/5
Nice place, a little dated but clean and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Sweet little spot to stop in Ashland. Loved the pool. Bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
Spacious room. big property. WiFi was spotty.
- 2/5
The room had zero amenities . There was a rat trap to the left of our door ! Yuck . Bare minimum in room . Property felt in need of upkeep. Won’t stay there again. Not as well maintained as photos appear
- 2/5
Great facility and staff were excellent. The hot tub was broken and the bar was closed all day.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. The room was spacious and the surrounding grounds were very nice.
- 4/5
everyone we worked with on the staff was helpful and friendly. the person who checked us in was EXTREMELY helpful - she accommodated our needs when we asked to change rooms to another floor because one of our group feels claustrophobic on first floor rooms - very nice. our only concern was the room in the suites bldg smelled like a pet. every time we returned to the room, it felt stuffy (though we left the air on auto) and it smelled like dog fur. i
- 5/5
Nice place to stay in Ashland.
- 4/5
location not too good. over priced
- 5/5
There’s a fenced in pet area out back with views of the beautiful hills. Landscaping is beautiful and a short walk over the highway bridge you can reach supermarket and restaurants and bars. Feels very safe.
- 4/5
Had some problems with the food at Luna Cafe, but other than that, my stay has been great.
- 5/5
Nice place - great communications - convenient location! Just wish they had a continental breakfast!
- 4/5
Unique look and interesting decor
- 5/5
I have stayed here before, an older hotel, but well kept, friendly staff, and the rooms are clean.
- 4/5
Easy access. Quiet area.
- 2/5
In our 1st room the A/C was broken in 100 degree heat, they told us that there were no other rooms available but would send someone to fix it. Desk staff showed up and switched it on and off again to 'fix it', this id did not work and they then said no one was available to repair it. Then they all of a sudden had a room available to move us into. This new room however smelt so badly we could not sleep in it, as though something or someone had died in it. They said they would refund the room charges, which they never did either. Would never stay here again, beware!
- 5/5
One of the best hotels, good value and proximity to Ashland.
- 5/5
Room large. Balcony private with tree shade.
