Very run down. People living in hotel and hanging out on the walkway. Strong weed smell. Very sketchy

The staff was friendly and informative about some of the local restaurants to try out. The room was clean and quiet. Would stay again!

Location was not far and easy to get around this town for someone who has never been. Owner has fruit, pastries and coffee for breakfast. Close to several restaurants. Small bathroom.

It was fairly clean. Decent location. The bathroom was very small, the floors was greasy/ slick feeling, parking lot was small.

Bed was comfortable I booked first floor and was put on the second floor. Had a climb outside stairs with luggage and I am in my sixties and had driven alone for 9 hours prior to arrival.

Quiet. Clean. Fast and friendly check in. Facilities NOT like pictures. Paint chipped and cracked inside and outside. Bed very lumpy. Some sketchy people hanging about who were NOT staying at the hotel. All in all, good for one night after a long drive. Just dont expect the room represented in the photos to have much resemblance to what you get.

I take several prescription medicines. I booked the room for 4 days. I positioned the meds in a particular order and distance. I put a do not disturb sign on the outside of the room door. My sign was gone upon return and meds were 100% looked through.

Price was the biggest selling point for me. I knew not to expect much for the price I paid. The room was comfortable and served its purpose, but not much more than that. Bathroom was hastily remodeled. The tiles were loose on the floor and there was bad caulking in every corner. The shower head leaked the whole time I was there. The shower itself looked like it could have used a thorough cleaning before it could be used. The "door" to the bathroom was the plastic accordion style from the 70's.

Stayed there for two nights. Spacious and clean room. Comfy beds and nice and warm shower. Good location, about 10 minutes from downtown and with shops close by.

The room was clean, smelled good. The TV was updated and had a clear picture. The bathroom was clean and very nice for a motel. The beds were comfortable, the sheets and pillow cases were clean. Would stay at this one again. The shower does not have a door so water does drip out of the shower onto the floor. The door was also shaved to fit into the bathroom so when closed, there is a small sliver you can see through.

Good affordable budget hotel. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable and seemed to be new. The metal stairs need some TLC and there is road noise although the walls in the room block a lot of the noise. I would recommend this for a night or two.

Nothing. Bed was semi comfortable No hot water when I stayed was moved rooms to a dirtier rooms. Got there and the room I requested (KING) was not available. Bleach stains on the furniture. The room smelled like smoke. I requested an non-smoking room. The sink was hanging off the wall. The shower had mildew in it and was rusty with broken tiles.

This is a very old ran down hotel. Be prepared to pay a $100 deposit on top of the amount you pay for the room. The man checking us in was not very nice when I questioned him about the $100 deposit. The room was clean and the bedding was clean so that was the only good thing about the hotel. There were a lot of out of town workers there with their big work trucks and equipment so I got the impression that this is to whom they cater to. So just keep this in mind that pictures can be deceiving and are!! Because when we saw the hotel before even pulling into the parking lot we were ready to cancel and go elsewhere but it was only for the night and we were tired and had to be up and gone early the next morning.

Overall I was super impressed. The price point was awesome for the renovations this building has. The red/black painting was visually appealing, the bathroom was clean and the shower was fantastic. The parking was tight. The TV was an older model and I had no guide, which is my only complaint. The bed was soft, clean, and well made up. I would definitely stay here again. Check in and out was quick, easy and the man at the desk was kind and friendly.

We were just looking for a place to stop overnight.it was very clean and totally updated. Beds were comfortable.. area was surprisingly quiet. Very inexpensive. Would recommend it . We would definitely stay again. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is just a cute, homey feeling place. I feel like the building is probably old, but you can tell they’ve made updates to the rooms. The parking lot is a little small towards the back so that could be hard parking a larger vehicle, in my opinion, but we had plenty of parking towards the front. This was the quickest and easiest check-in I’ve ever had. I think it was probably the property owner who checked me in and he was super nice! Room and bathroom were spotless. No signs of bugs or mice, which is a super plus for me!

Parking lot is small my 4 door ram could barely park and i had a tow dolly that i had to leave else where cause theres not enough room to turn around .was supposed to stayed there till the morning of the 11th but i had to get my tow dolly so i didnt complete my stay. And if the place is advertised as no smoking then maybe the staff shouldnt smoke or at least smoke some where else .

This hotel is NOT ADA accessible. No elevator at all and the steps were rusted old metal. The room was ok but the shower dripped all night. Ugh.

The staff was very friendly and checked me in promptly when I arrived. My room was clean and smelled fresh, along with the bathroom. I had a nice sleep on the queen size bed and didn't hear any noise throughout the night. Perfect for a night's stay if you're coming through town!

The blackout curtains did the trick to help us sleep along with the comfortable bed. The bathroom that was clean and that is what prevented this review from getting one Star.

I got what I paid for: a clean room and a place to lay our heads for the night. The parking is atrocious if you don't have a small car and horrible if you do.

The Asheville Inn was a clean hotel with very nice and helpful staff. Our room was fresh and clean. The bed linens and towels were clean and fresh also. It is not a 5 star resort but for the price, it delivers. We would stay there again.

This is an older building and property, because of its location there is a lot of noise outside and the walls are not exactly noisy proof. That being said if you’re traveling and just need a place to sleep without draining your bank account and this is the perfect place. Nice and clean inside all the amenities you need and it’s been updated. Although a little weathered for the price I highly recommend this place.

I play music in Asheville about 4 times a year. This is my go to stay. Its affordable, comfortable and very convenient to the venue I play. With the highway right there and a McDonalds right there it may be a bit noisy for some at night but not me. I do stay at the end usually closest to the highway. My only complaint about here is no coffee maker in the room.....it does have a microwave and fridge though.... if you want a quick affordable, clean and kind of hip place to stay I highly recommend it.....I love this place...

Check in was via a robot who couldn’t understand me. Outside was dirty. Inside was dirtier. We were there less than 8 hours total and it was too much. Never again. Second night we stayed down the road at the country in. By Radisson and it was $10 LESS and 125% better. Don’t stay here. Not even for just a place to sleep and shower.

This motel was actually perfect for what we needed - just a place to stop and sleep for the night on a longer road trip. The property was obviously recently renovated. The beds were really comfortable, and overall the room was clean, BUT it smelled like an ashtray. Like it had been inhabited by chain smokers for 10 years and never cleaned. So that sucked.

Not clean. Bedspread had stains and had to sweep the floor when we arrived. Also there was a large gap underneath the door and the water was very slow to run out of the sink. There was an ice bucket but didn't see anywhere to get ice. No towel rods for after showering.

Room reeked of smoke. Flush handle came off toilet. Not even a room coffee maker. When I went to desk to say handle fell off, was treated rudely. Had to fight for refund to cancel second prepaid night.

You have to be rung into the office which makes the area seem pretty sketchy (it’s right off a major road kind of down in a pit). It’s not super clean and a lot of “landlord special” attempts at remodels in room and bathroom, but gets the jobs done if you need a place to sleep at night. Accidentally turned the heat on and it smelled like fire. Little gnats flying out of the sink, but no smells. Clean bedding. Lights were SO BRIGHT and no lamps, which bad it tough to wind down for sleep. Shower itself was SO NICE but there was no curtain or even a place to hang one? Water all over floor. No drain and clearly mildewing around perimeter middle of bathroom floor. No bad smell though. Janky tile but that’s just aesthetic. Man at the desk was incredibly rude and unfriendly from the second we walked in. Very aggressive room service at checkout time. Not the best stay but would recommend if you need a cheap place to rest your head and don’t have the highest standards to begin with. Pretty good value overall.

I saw them cleaning the rooms and throwing the bedsheets in the dirty parking spots, on the concrete. Not a very clean way to treat the bedsheets we sleep on.

Fairly clean, very slow internet.

A wonderful stay! The room was very clean! Even though it is a budget stay, they obviously make an effort with accommodations-nice soaps, cleanliness, huge tv, comfy bed. If you are looking for a place to stay in Asheville, stay here!

Several panhandlers around and motel. Didnt feel safe around motel. Room was great and clean. Staff couldnt understand prices to high for location. Will not stay again.

When we got this location and went inside the room it smelled like pure smoke. When the policy says no smoking 100%. Went downstairs and told the receptionist she told us that she will help me out, i asked how. She said she will switch my room or give us a full refund. Once again, smelledlike smoke. We have kids and a baby that are asmatic. Its unacceptable for us. When i went downstairs again and said to give me the full refund she looked shocked but said fine. I saw her writing my card information plus exp date and cvv numbers. She didn't look trustworthy at all.

Room was NOT AT ALL like the photos online once viewed in person. The room felt dirty, and looked it. The floor felt nasty underfoot, the linens/pillow cases had stains, and the towels were stained as well. Truly, the real life example of putting lipstick on a pig. It might look appealing, but it’s still a nasty pig. Oh yea, there’s also no shortage of homeless and drug addicts wandering around outside. Not a mile down the road, like 50 feet from your door. Speaking of which, there’s security lock from the inside of the room.

It was a good value for the price.

Our room was clean and comfortable and there are no major complaints. Oddly, a few small things were absent, like any hooks in the bathroom on which to hang towels or clothes, nor was there any other place in the room to hang anything. Coats and clothes had to be draped over the chair or across suitcases or the bed...

Parking extremely limited and hard to Maneuver even for a smaller vehicle

The wash clothes were brown. Almost like they weren't washed. The office is always locked. So if you need anything. You have to ring a door bell and wait outside.

I RENTED A ROOM ON LINE AT RED ROOF WENT TO CHECK IN AND THEY TURNED ME DOWN SAID THEY COULD NOT RENT TO ME BECAUSE OF SMOKING AT THAT TIME I DID NOT EVEN SMOKE. THAT WAS A LIE AND VERY DISHONEST OF THE HOYSEKEEPERS IM HIGHLY UPSET.

The door did not lock and could not be fixed while I was there, so that was an uncomfortable feeling.The whole room smelled like smoke. I had to buy an air freshener in order to combat that. I had no soap in the bathroom.

The carpet was wet, the ventilation too loud and kind of mouldy smell in the room.

It was ok. It can get noisy since it's near the highway, but convenient if you need to get to places fast. There were bugs in the room but they were dead. Someone's car randomly went off and they didn't bother to turn it off until I went outside.

Nice and clean quiet for the most part

I think the exterior image of this place doesn’t do it justice. I was nervous when I was pulling up but when I went inside of the room it was actually really cute and clean. I think the only complaints that I have are that the door to enter the room was broken so I had to keep getting help from the front desk to get in. Also, I could hear every step the people in the room above me took throughout the night. Other than that it was a great experience.

It's a place to sleep, parking lot must be the worst I've ever seen to get in and out of, if you have a smart car you should be ok.

The inn seemed recently remodeled inside and out, which made it nice in terms of cleanliness. The bed was comfortable. It is wedged between the freeway and an on ramp, plus it is also at a freeway intersection/grapevine so it was very noisy from car and truck traffic. Someone egged our car while we stayed there. A housekeeper loaned me cleaning products to get the mess off our car.
