The location this is the filthiest place I have ever stayed!

Literally the worst place i have ever seen.

There were BED BUGS. got chewed all the way to hell. Smelled like a sewer, staff took my towels and didn't replenish them, crack in the toilet seat, broken furniture, moldy bathroom, drain didn't work, outlets sucked, disgusting, bugs, just not fit for human life.

I loved the location you have all you need right there with in walking distance almost in the same parking lot that was nice The shower head could be up a little higher but I am 6'4" so I understand that

Absolutely nothing was likable about this awful property. We booked a non-smoking room online. When we arrived the entire place was full of smoke. The broken window didn't even open to let fresh air in. The walls and ceilings were smoke stained, the bed was broken, the wallpaper in the bathroom was falling off of the wall. We decided to leave because the front desk said this was their only non-smoking room.

Not clean. Floor sticky. Bath tub is severely stained--didn't use it. Killed a couple of small roaches.

The fact that our room had bed bugs and we had bites .

The room wasn't clean as it should be.. floor was still dirty . My socks was black from floor.. also Saw bed Bugs .. told staff but they only check and load it was fine. Room 211 or 213 ..

I believe more attention should be given to this.

They were rude. We can have absolutely no visitors. It stinks. The whole entire hotel smells terrible. There was roaches real bad and my room was clean when I checked in.

NO BREAKFAST. Dozens of homeless people roaming the property. Nothing

Stunk of food. Bed broke and ac barely worked Maint man came in and had to put up mirror in bathroom in middle of evening Hallways are filthy so was the room and bathroom Cleanest part of it was the new toilet Burn the place down

There was nothing to like besides the man behind the desk that checked me in was nice. The lobby smells like weed. The room smelled of mold as there was mold on the bathroom ceiling and all over the shower curtain. I got a non smoking room but there were burn holes in the blankets on both beds. The room also had other odors that were very unpleasant. We were put right in front of a washer and dryer that was in the hallway with everyone seemed to be doing laundry at all hours. The room was gross and had no available plug in for charging phones had to unplug the lamp under the desk. Floor was sticky and gross the room felt like no one had cleaned it in a very long time.

The room was very clean despite the outdated furniture and old building. The staff was more than friendly and helpful! I felt very safe staying here and think it’s worth the price they’re asking. The walls and floors had lots of wear and tear, but the non smoking room smelled clean and I had no issues.

There were roaches in the room. The pillows and sheets weren’t clean. The sink was eroded. The pictures of the property seemed like a complete 180 from the actual room. The hallway smelled. It was a 2 star property, so I didn’t want to expect much, because it won’t be fair. But the property lacks basic hygiene, everything is dilapidated.

The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, and there were cockroaches at night! I don't recommend it. It's horrible!

Aside from the standard dinginess and low condition one expects from a motel like this, I was surprised by the fact that my ceiling was covered in mold. Not only was it moldy, but the room had a musty/damp smell that neccissitated me to wash everything I had brought with me.

I have never been to a hotel where I actually felt afraid. The place was disgusting. I’m sure there are health code violations. I’m willing to put up with a lot to save money. We left and went across the street to Comfort Inn. Supposedly they are refunding my money. We’ll see.

Loved the pillows… so comfy! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Generally was a good experience. I do think the laundry setup could be better and nore spacioua.

Power went out but it was not the hotel's fault. However, it would have been good to have a backup generator.

I started in room 120. The room at the end of the hall. The next day I had to change rooms because the mold smell was very strong even though they tried to cover it with bleach before we rented it. Also it reeked of bleach the entire time we were in it. I also have many bites that itched so bad I scratched them til they bled. I took pictures of the moldy bathroom and the bites. The doors do not close tight to the door frame & we had to smell weed along with the bleach smell for hours but the bleach smell never went away. The next morning the front desk had me go look at a room on the 2nd floor even though I am disabled. I begged him to put me on the 1st floor. He refused. He also told me weed is legal in NC. So it is allowed. The angle I stood in the door of the bathroom I could only see a few black dots & didn't think it was mold. So I said yes to the 2nd floor room. Once we got into the room we could see there was mold in the bathroom AND over the bed. The 1st room didn't have it over the bed. In the first room the bed was very uncomfortable. The 2nd room it sagged where a persons butt sat on the bed. So when we laid down it was very uncomfortable. It felt like a bed with stretched out springs. It was so bad we woke up in pain. I have several pictures of both rooms. Also I am covered in bites on my entire body from both rooms. I looked up what bed bug bites look like because I have NEVER had this issue in my 62 yrs.

Everything, the room , bed, wifi, bathroom was very clean and comfortable.

The Room Was Not Cleaned properly. There was a bag of chicken from a previous guest, and there was a lot of noise from other guests. The bed made a lot of noise, you couldn't move without it making a noise.I will not be staying there again.

Bedbugs, enough said

I was looking for a hotel to stay at while i do a travel contract at the local hospital. When checking in I asked the man could checkout be later in the afternoon on Wednesday, since I work night shift. He said no 12 is the latest that he could do. When I tried to connect to the wifi, it didn’t work. He gave me 2 different passwords and it still didn’t connect. Well unfortunately, on Tuesday afternoon after itching all morning I found bed bugs in my bed. I immediately called to the front desk. He told me to get my belongings and move to a room downstairs. He acted as if it was a normal thing for them. No apology, no nothing. I actually thought that he would let me have the later checkout that I asked for since I got bit up by bedbugs all morning , but he didn’t. When I got off of work the next morning I was so scared to go back in the room, I fell asleep in my car in the hotel parking lot.

Wouldn’t accept cards as payment for deposit

Loud bands of Mexicans and Guats that didn’t quit until 3am, management said they couldn’t do anything because it was 80% of their business

An older hotel but was fine. Good value, though a larger sign would make it easier to find. Nice personnel. Easy access to I-40. Would stay there again.

Quick and easy check in process. Rooms are nice and staff is super friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Asked for non smoking room but my room reeked of smoke. Not subtle but like being in a bar. Fortunately my inhaler helped me thru 1 night. Went to management next day and was told no other room available. Worse yet I spent only 1 night there but they wouldn't refund my other 3 days. Guy at desk said maybe I will get partial credit for 2 days but didn't sound convincing (no partial refund on my credit card as of yet). Regardless I immediately booked another hotel 8 miles away-best decision I've made this year.

The room was noisy and the bed either had bedbugs or fleas because I itched all night. It was a pretty awful night.

My room was extremely clean and well-appointed with a larger than average mini-fridge, clean microwave, newer coffee pot and a newer model large flatscreen t.v. conveniently mounted across from the bed. Speaking of the bed! It was a very comfy pillow top queen set with crisp clean sheets and a HUGE oversized warm. The water pressure was amazing and stayed hot as long as I showered. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip through Asheville!

I recently spent 3 wks in a local hospital after a serious back injury necessitated spine surgery and I needed to find a SAFE, AFFORDABLE hotel so that I could do several wks of physical therapy here. The day before my hospital discharge I started calling around to area hotels but found most to be way out of my budget. Until I called the Rodeway Inn in West Asheville. Not only did the rates fall well within my admittedly tight budget, the staff member that answered the phone was warm, friendly and empathetic after I explained what had been going on in my life. He immediately made me feel welcome and reassured me that a handicap accessible room would be waiting for me the next day (thank you Brian!). I've been here almost a month now and every one of the employees from the manager to housekeeping to the maintenance men have been extremely helpful and gone out of their way to make me feel safe and welcome. The room I rented was extremely clean, the bed comfortable, the heat works perfectly, there's amazing water pressure (I hate to stay places with weak water pressure in the shower!), and there's convenient laundry facilities in the hotel for guests to use. I don't know when I'll be back.in Asheville but if I need to stay overnight I wont stay anywhere but this Rodeway Inn. Thank you again to the wonderful hardworking staff!!

Musty odor, torn bedding, and moldy bathroom

Very disappointed in the fact that I could not travel due to a death in the family and they would not give me a refund. I spoke to the front desk and man said he would approve it through hotels.com when contacted. Not only liars but heartless as well.

Which battle the horrific sound from the heater and the people in the lobby. The area had a lot of fast food joints to eat with in walking distance even a Cracker Barrel. “The madness” restaurant just in the neighboring parking lot was AMAZING!!! If your feeling bored with life and wanna slum it. Then for sure go. It was cheap and we survived so it’s all good!!

Dilapidated property, People loitering around parking lot. No answer to calls.

I enjoyed my stay there.i was there for 10 daya and everything was great.The staff was so hopefull especially Sabrina she gave me some great info on the ahville area

It was acceptable for a quick stay, but beds not very comfortable and the place could use some TLC like paint, and general updates on ceiling which was flaking off, exposed patches on walls, newer linens and towels. Some cosmetic upkeep would make it better

Bathroom smelled like cat markings. It was noisy the whole time we were there and because of that I only got a couple hours of sleep. Never again.

The hotel was smelly and I could not get the internet to work. Had to ask for TP since I had 2 sheets left. AC was really loud.

I checked in and after housekeeping cleaned someone slept on the bed and the the toilet bowel was filled with pee. So it looks like the employee's hangout in the rooms. When I asked for a new room they wanted to give me one with half a window missing. Hotels.com should be embarrassed they have this dump on there site

Cannibis and knives are sold in reception area if your into that, along with a wide array of other items. We had a supposedly accessible room but toliet was too low for handicap person and loose . Nice downlike comforter on bed.

The place smelled like sweaty feet. The room was so nasty, there was hairs on the bathtub, the beds was not made, looks like they just threw the comforter on top.

The facility is run down and in dire need of renovations Smokers hang around the entrances stinking up the are an throw their buts in the trash cans by the entrance extending the smell.

Check in people were awesome. The room was functional. The Mattresses need to be replaced and the Bathroom needs a remodel. There were fresh towels and clean trash cans everyday (most appreciated).

Older hotel rooms are nice. The staff is phenomenal

The staff was helpful and nice. The multiple scary people in the parking lot drove us away. They were drinking, laying in the bushes, and just loitering about. We knew our car would be broken into so we left. Our room was also kind of dirty.

Last-minute booking weather was really bad as I was driving through the hotel is older The room was very clean the staff was excellent they didn’t have a problem with homeless people hanging out around there but they have taken measures to curve that all in all if you need a place to sleep for a few hours not bad

The room had mold in it, the sheets had burn marks and stains on it. The bathroom shower curtain was covered in mold. The walls were filthy . Very loud hotel. People yelling, dogs barking, and people slamming doors all hours of the night. This is probably the most unclean and unsafe location that we have ever booked.

It was so bad I did not stay there the smell of mold hit you as soon as you walked in room. I could not breathe. It was not clean there were dirty socks on the floor. The bed was off the frame. Rust on fridge and cockroaches everywhere

Very loud on the ground floor. Bring ear plugs! If you are close to the lobby people talk through the night; if you are near the ice machine in the hallway that is loud too.

Although the bed was comfortable, the condition of the property was poor. Broken bathroom fixtures, torn or missing wallpaper and old carpet are among the deficiencies. I got a good night's sleep at a low price but probably would not stay there again.

Cockroaches and loud people

Close to interstate. Room and bathroom was too small. Bed was like a hammock. Next to an auto repair shop with lots of grinding noises. Toilet was constantly running. Door wasn't installed properly, an inch gap at the top! Stairs were very dangerous. No breakfast of any kind. Pergo floors weren't very clean. Electrical outlets were under the furniture and lights were not plugged in. People were arguing in the hallway all night long.

Nothing about this visit was pleasant at all. Poor customer service at check in. Was just very rude when speaking to me and going over the policies. Especially when it came to the guest rules. Yet all I heard all night long was people coming in and out constantly knocking on doors. Couldn't hardly sleep because of that as well as other reasons. The bed was just terrible. While being there I killed at least 5 roaches in the room some of which came from under the bed. The tub constantly ran the whole time. I did in fact notify front desk about that. However they said yes they know it's just the cold water. They had ordered the part but was waiting on it to come in. Then when I found out that I didn't have to be in town as long as I originally expected. I contacted the hotel room in advance to find out their refund policy on early check out. Just to be sure I'd get it back before checking out so I didn't absolutely lose out on that money. I was told that upon check out my remainder balance would be refunded back to my bank card. After contacting my bank and going back and forth between the hotel and my bank. My bank has ended up having to file a claim on it because I still have not received any confirmation of it even being processed back or anything. I was relieved when I found out I could check out early and be refunded only due to my experience of the facility since being there.

This hotel was not in good condition, halls were dimly lit, carpet was in poor condition, stairwells smelled of smoke room was small, no water pressure in shower or sink

Bad area, alot of homeless and visible drug use, i will never stay there again and i come to the area too see my grandchildren 3 too 4 times a year

The stairs smelled like urine and looked like a homeless person lived there. The pillow cases were blood stained. There are holes in the ceiling and i felt checking for bedbugs was a must. When checking in the wll of pot was overpowering in the office. The front check in guy is in s motorcycle club amd was with his other members and in cut when we arrived. If a skeezy placebdor murder is what you're looking for then this is the place

Staff we enter acted with was nice. Room was less than desirable there was a horrible smell bed sheets had blood stains shower had pubic hair on wall.

Didn’t stay because clerk insisted my moms card was declined. Hotels.com immediately found the issue. They refunded it after he snapped at customer service. Just what a jerk! He has seen me and my wife there before and knows she is black. Every other front desk person likes us and we have stayed many times. Unfortunately Michael cost them our business

Room floor was sticky, towels were actually dirt dirty. My wife asked me if i had wiped the floor with them. Stair hallway inside outer door smelled like urine.

The bathroom had water damage around tub a the sink had a hole in it to the over flow drain. The room an the bed where clean. It was ok didn’t expect much!

I would never return to this hotel. The room was in bad condition (clean, but with broken drawers, beat-up refridgerator, etc.) There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom.

Sketchy people hanging around outside. Filthy stairway. Non-smoking room smelled of cigatettes. Cigarette burns on toilet. Would not stay there again.

Room was clean. Front desk guy was nice. Have to have a room key to get in to the building so more secure.

Amazing service and cleanliness

Do not stay here! I saw a cockroach the minute I stepped in the door. A little while later, another bug scurrying across the floor. Filthy. The prices are low but honestly you get even less than what you pay for

The building is older, but the room we stayed in was newly rennovated. The halls and stairs are a little rough, but I have no complaints about the room. Basic, simple, inexpensive. Perfect for what I was looking for.

The hotel is adequate for one night. One of the bedspreads had cigarette burns all over it. The tub was not clean... I didn't feel comfortable taking a shower in it. It's an older hotel although they've tried to update some. However, I never felt unsafe and cracker barrel, Dunkin, and a gas station are all steps away.

The inside was run down, they served stale doughnuts in morning, and tne worst part was the roaches.

Got in late, so pretty much went to bed. Got up in the morning to find poor job of covering up mold on the ceiling, loose wallpaper with mold behind, FRP used to patch/ cover a problem with the ceiling over the bathtub and the door to the bathroom was literally screwed together.

The sheets didn’t look like they were washed. The pillow sheets didn’t look washed because there was what I would call black beard hair all over them. There was a cockroach in the room. It was overall disgusting

The rear entrance area is run down, but my room was renovated, comfortable, quiet and clean.

Somehow managed to sorvive thee ordeel. Smelled like bleech. I guess that mean cleen. Toilet seat old and bubblee looked like permanent pee bubbles. Plastic bubbling and peeling off it to look thas ways. Only reel annoyant were people slamming doors no consideration but not hotel fault

Checked in and out within an hour. Our original plans changed so we had to make new reservations within the same day and most hotels in the Asheville area were booked. This place looked like you pay by the hour. Dirty. Questionable guys loitering in the hallway.
