We had an absolutely fantastic stay here. It is incredible to see what they’ve done with the place—turning a formerly rundown building into a beautiful, fresh, and modern hotel. Every aspect of the experience was spot on: The Room & Dining: The room was excellent, clean, and comfortable, and the restaurant on-site was fantastic. Service: The entire staff went above and beyond. The valet team was incredibly helpful, and everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely chatty in the best way possible. Pet-Friendly: A huge bonus for us was how accommodating and welcoming they were with dogs. It’s a top-tier hotel with a great atmosphere and stellar service. We will definitely be back!

Everything thing was great from the time we checked in until we checked out. The staff were friendly and.omggg.the suite was amazing. We also had a massage which was great as well. The hotel restaurants food was great as well.

One goofy note- my husband detected an odor near the elevators on the fourth floor he thought to be dog urine. It is a dog friendly hotel, and things happen. We get it. We informed the front desk and the employee said they would see to it right away.

The most beautiful stay in Asheville NC. My hi and I booked the suite and it’s so spectacular. Very spacious and a beautiful big bathtub with the most comfortable bed! Like a cloud

Shower had low water pressure. Our refrigerator was leaking for our entire 4 day stay. The rooms are small and do not have a microwave. I do not think the price is worth it.

This is a 5 star property- the staff were amazing and the location is perfect. The food and drink also excellent. The valet parking was also extremely fast and courteous.

The room was marvelous. We had a western view of the mountains which was nice. We were given a coupon the first night for a splendid craft cocktail and another for a marvelous breakfast on our day of departure. Great location with many shops and fabulous restaurants within easy walking range. Highly recommended for a stay in Asheville.

Quick and easy check-in with front desk staff that were amazingly knowledgeable about local eating and entertainment establishments. Valets were quick, courteous and friendly. Situated in the perfect location, the design and function of the room and public areas was outstanding. TONS of storage areas in the room, spacious bathroom and shower. Elevators were fast and never crowded. One. Wry minor improvement would be a cable machine in the large gym. Looking forward to our next visit. P.S. Don’t miss the ragu in the restaurant!

This is by far my favorite hotel. I’ve stayed here many times. It’s top notch affordable luxury and they celebrate dogs.

The customer service was excellent and exactly what I expect from the Kimpton brand. The staff accommodated us during a busy wedding weekend and stayed very responsive throughout our visit. I especially appreciated the text messaging system that allowed direct communication with hotel staff and management to make sure everything was going well. The location is perfect — right downtown Asheville within walking distance of the square, restaurants, shopping, and several popular eateries. We also discovered the hotel is very dog friendly. We met many guests traveling with dogs during our stay, so if you travel with pets, you will absolutely love this place. The valet service was excellent, especially the texting system to request your vehicle. Parking is expensive, but that is expected downtown. The restaurant downstairs was phenomenal for both breakfast and Mother’s Day brunch. My only suggestion would be complimentary bottled water in the rooms instead of only downstairs in the lobby. Overall, highly recommended and I would absolutely stay here again.

The suite rooms were fabulous, the staff was VERY friendly, accommodating, helpful, and fun, and the location was perfect. I not only wouldn't think twice about staying here again, I would plan any time in the area around the joy of staying in the hotel. We planned a family reunion in Asheville, and everyone in our family had the same positive comments about the Kimpton Arras hotel.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in the heart of Asheville, this is it. The entire staff is amazing, from the guys taking care of the valet parking to housekeeping, everyone was super friendly and helpful. This property is dog friendly and really went out of the way to make our fur angel feel special. As an extra special treat, the restaurant on the first floor is first rate. We can certainly recommend this property and will stay here again the next time we visit Asheville.

The Kimpton is Asheville is a must stay! We loved the downtown location and our mountain view/sunset room was fantastic! Staff was helpful and friendly. Valet parking only but it was not overly expensive. Our room was beautiful and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved being able to walk to get coffee the next morning. Highly recommend!

We had one night in Asheville and decided to stay at the Kimpton. Thankful we did!!! The hotel staff was friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and the location helped us to make the most of our time there. Highly recommend!

The hotel is very nice and the staff is great, corner room had large windows which were nice I guess, except that at night in the city it is very loud in the room. Any car that drives by and the noise just bounces between the buildings and and it's fairly loud in the room.

Everything was wonderful—the breakfast, the clean room, and the beautiful interior—but the one thing that was missing was toothpaste.

Booking through Expedia at checkout you are charged 20.00$ plus tax amenity fee per day. No coffee in room. Bed pad on bed below sheet comes loos and bunches up.

Restaurant had good food, and the free Happy Hour was great! The bar was nice too, and our room was comfortable and had a great view. Also this hotel is right in the middle of all the great restaurants in downtown Asheville, everything was super walkable.

If you’re a light sleeper, keep in mind it is downtown and there’s some noise. Also, we didn’t bring our dog, but saw so many happy dogs too.

Upon check In They did not have our reservation! One of the managers had to come out and figure out what was happening! It was in Expedia but not Kimpton! We wasted about 30 minutes trying to figure out the situation! This is not the first time I gave had an issue with Expedia! Will not be using them again in the future

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Arras in Asheville. The staff was so helpful. We made last minute reservations at the hotel and when we needed to change rooms to accommodate our party, Angel did an excellent job of helping us out. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for sights and restaurants in downtown Asheville. Also, the breakfast was amazing in their lovely on-site restaurant. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Asheville!

Such a perfect central location, within a few blocks of everything you'd want downtown: restaurants, shopping, the art museum... The most comfortable cloud-like bedding helped us relax and sleep in. The staff were so friendly, and gave us a list of area recommendations upon checkin. We tried the Bargello restaurant and had a delicious breakfast. No coffee makers in the room, but they have a great complimentary coffee service in the lobby bar. Highly recommend this hotel!

The most incredible stay in a hotel we have experienced in Asheville. The staff, the cleanliness and the amenities were A++++! They love your pet and really did treat our girl well. Location as well was PERFECT! It took us 6 min to walk to the venue to see our show and quickly walked back to the hotel after it was over. They even shared a wonderful little birthday surprise for my husband. Will def stay again!

My dogs and I had an outstanding stay. This hotel truly caters to dogs. Bowls, beds, and dogs stay free, which is rare and appreciated. Traveling with senior dogs requires patience, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Valet service was absolutely worth it. The team handled all luggage seamlessly, escorted us to the room, and helped unload. Professional, efficient, and deserving of gratuities. The lobby and restaurant are beautifully designed and spotless. Our two-bedroom mountainside suite (with partial Broadway Street views) was incredibly comfortable. The beds and pillows were melt-in worthy, and the spacious walk-in shower felt spa-like. Happy hour from 5–6 each evening with cocktails, wine, beer, and food was a lovely touch. The central downtown location makes everything walkable. Elegant, polished, dog-friendly luxury. Stay her. You won’t be disappointed.

As always, the rooms are quiet and clean. This is my third stay here this year and I hope to have more enjoyable stays in 2026.

We stayed in a room where the TV wasn’t functioning, which was disappointing. We also requested a pack ’n play for our toddler, but it took an hour and a half to arrive—something that’s quite important when traveling with a young child. Additionally, the mini bar fridge wasn’t working, so we had no way to properly store our toddlers food. Also, valet service was very slow, taking over 20 minutes on both occasions we used it.

The staff was weird. At check in the deskman said coffee was out at 7 (it really is out at 5) he said there was Ghirardelli hot chocolate-there was none. I asked the desk girl in the morning why there were not coffee makers in the room and she said because people boil their socks in them! She was really weird. We waited 40minutes for the valet to bring the car and then he did not open the trunk or doors for us. Highly untrained staff.

Called the day prior to ask for early check in. I was told I'd get a text when the room was ready, regardless. Confirmed my phone number and never got a confirmation that our room was ever ready. The black makeup cloth in the room smelled like stale wet towels.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kimpton in Asheville, NC. The staff was very nice, especially Erin in the restaurant! Also, the rooms were clean, the ameniities were great, and the ambience was relaxed with beautiful decorations. The one thing we thought could be improved was the bed (not the most comfortable), and the bedding (kind of scratchy). Otherwise, the Kimpton was great and we would stay there again!

The hotel overall was terrific. Our only negative rating was regarding the pillows. For an upscale hotel the pillows were flat with little padding.

The bar had a good selection and superb service. Although we did not have breakfast we did enjoy the coffee and tea bar set up at 7am. Beautiful presentation filling up a 10” table. Both big ceramic mugs and to go cups, several choices of milk and coffee served in large silver urns. Box of fine teas. Lovely!

It was a lovely place but for the price I was surprised at the paywall reward members only wifi and other amenities.

We absolutely loved our stay. What a wonderful staff from the super sweet valet, desk people, and the bartender (with long hair) were absolutely wonderful. My only complaint is the bartender that is tall with short hair, he was incredibly rude to people and needs additional training. I am in marketing and thought he really was a liability to what otherwise was such kind people.

We have stayed at the Charlottesville’s and Asheville Kimpton Hotel. Both properties and staff have been excellent. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The only area that could use an update is the exercise room. Both properties had broken equipment. They could use a regular recumbent or upright exercise bike too

We just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in Asheville and the Kimpton went above and beyond to make us feel special. From restaurant recommendations to the friendly service to helping me arrange for flowers in our room. Plus they made sure we had a great view from our room and wrote a wonderful note and gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly that we saved for our actual anniversary to have a toast. Bravo, Kimpton! Thank you for making us feel special and helping us celebrate.

Room was great, but front desk guy on the morning of September 16, 2025 is a real piece of work and needs to be trained in customer service. Went downstairs to request toilet paper and his rude response was “housekeeping handles this”. Well I don’t know or care who handles it, or how to contact housekeeping, I just need my toilet paper. A better response would have been “No problem, I’ll call housekeeping to get this for you, what’s your room number?” I waited at least 15 minutes and had to make another call to the front desk before toilet paper arrived. Can this hotel keep some TP at the front desk like some other hotels do?

The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is off the charts. Everything is made in house, try the yogurt with agave and fresh fruit if you want to have your mind blown. The rooms themselves are exceptional and last but not least, the gym is equipped with every toy you've ever dreamed of. Definite must stay in Asheville.

No coffee in room! Must for coffee or tea any time after their “morning service” closes downstairs. Not sure what to make of $32 a night for parking, but it is what it is.

The staff was very friendly. Parking is pricey, but you get what you pay for, very convenient. Overall, we loved our stay at this hotel.

It is a lovely hotel. It offers coffee in the morning and a happy hour. The rooms are comfortable but the bed could be firmer. Bathroom is amazing but needs a sink stopper for folks with contact lenses. Parking overnight is too expensive. Lovely place

This hotel was great for me and my wife's stay for our anniversary. The staff was nice and attentive to our needs. Our room was clean and we had a great view! The location is perfect. Most things that we needed were within walking distance. I would definitely recommend staying here. We plan on staying here again in the future.

Outstanding hotel. We have stayed at several hotels in Asheville and this was the best, hands down. The hotel—lobby, rooms, bar, etc—are beautiful. It is right in the center of town too, easy to walk to restaurants, bars, attractions, etc. We will stay here again next time we are in Asheville.

If you want a clean comfortable room with excellent service Hotel Arras is the place. Centrally located in downtown Asheville, you can walk to great food and unique shopping opportunities. My wife and I will be back.

We had a wonderful experience! Jamie quickly upgraded us to a more accommodating room with the same great view, at no additional cost. We were welcomed with an anniversary gift of champagne and chocolate with a thoughtful note. The front staff were warm and professional, and the valet customer service was equally as professional. A must stay!

The location is great if you want to be in the center of the city. Great restaurant and attractions within steps of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Overall an excellent property. Will stay here again next time we are in town.

Have stayed here twice and will continue to do so. Always clean, rooms are lovely, perfect location in downtown Asheville, valet service always quick, staff extremely friendly, love the complimentary wine hour too.

The hotel was not very quiet. We didn't have any noise issues per day, but we could easily hear hallway noise

We experienced some allergies that are likely due to the hotel being per friendly. We noticed baseboards were chewed, but overall, our stay was lovely.

There was some modified vehicle that circled around the hotel two nights in a row that was incredibly loud to the point of keeping me up all night, and when I asked the staff for assistance, they offered no real solutions. If I am going to be the amount it costs to stay here at the hotel, I expect to be able to sleep and the hotel to actually be concerned with their environment instead of dismissing our issues. So if you like to spend 700 or so dollars for a weekend of a body odor stench seaping into your vehicle and a loud, unsleepable room, this is your place to be

Street noise is horrendous. Hear every loud car. Loud music playing past 11pm. Picked this hotel because “soundproof rooms”. Well the glass is not soundproof at all. Never been anywhere before so noisy.

Suite was appointed beautifully and exceeded our needs. Reverse Osmosis water and ice available on every floor. Complimentary cold, bottled water, morning coffee & tea, afternoon refreshments, WSJ. A lot of little touches that add up to make a big difference, but again, the staff was amazing!

Appreciated the service at check in but was not aware of the water and ice available until we asked after the 2nd day. Valet was great! Elevators were fast! Great room service for cleaning!

I 100 percent recommend this hotel. It’s well located in the middle of downtown Asheville. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff is so friendly.

We enjoyed the Kimpton for a week while we house hunted in western NC. The property is lovely, and includes a restaurant, bar, outdoor patio and easy access to everything downtown Asheville. Room service was excellent. Valet stand was very prompt and helpful. Loved the view from our room (north facing) and the refrigerator outside of our room for prepackaged bags of ice and filtered water. Doggie guests and their parents were everywhere, so very dog friendly. Only thing missing is a swimming pool and deck.

Very secure with the elevators’ design using room card keys. Right in the middle of great food and nightlife- we had a beautiful view of the park at the center of town and our room had a chaise divan parallel with the giant window to chill on and people-watch (there was a juggling unicyclist hanging out). Comfiest hotel bed I’ve ever slept upon, and that’s high praise indeed.

Excellent service and property. I appreciated each staff member that I encountered. It was a welcoming stay and probably the best hotel location in all of Asheville. I look forward to coming back.

Only complaint would be a lapse in housekeeping one day when we did not get fresh towels which were quite needed. Not addressed despite calling front desk. Despite this, would not hesitated to stay here again

The hotel is clean and modern. The room was great, except they have barn doors to the restroom, which I typically don't love. Overall the cleanliness was on point. The Kimpton's bar and restaurant were both really nice and the food at Borgello's was really good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the service was superb. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, a few minutes walk to Old Europe bakery where they are known for their cheese Danishes and coffee was great. There are lots of artisan shops in the area where you can support local artists and buy unique gifts and souvenirs to take home. Attended a show at the Orange Peel which was a ten minute stroll from the Kimpton and next door to the Wicked Weed Brewery, which were both a great experience. All in all the Kimpton is the perfect location for a nice and reasonably priced hotel to experience much of what downtown Asheville has to offer. Will continue to stay here as I visit family once or twice a year.
