The pool was one pool that went from in side to out side awesome. What i didn't like was that there was no hot tub as advertised. Stillwater a awesome stay would recommend to anyone

Conference room that we rented for wedding rehearsal dinner and the staff that waited on us. Kitchen staff that cooked meals were great. Wait staff was great. Had to pay for Breakfast, homeless people camping out by back entrance and in the parking lot. We stayed four nights and had to call maintenance 3 different times for problems.

Very clean room and hotel open areas. Had dinner in cafe. Nice area and had a bar.

Overall it was ok but the hotel had a musty smell. I could definitely feel it in my breathing. Our bed was very worn on one side and i had to adjust were I positioned my body to sleep. We had used the frigid for cheese, cheese spread and creamer and didn’t notice until 24 hours later it wasn’t even working.

Best bang for your buck in all of Asheville. Cleanliness, amenities, location and especially all of the staff members and restaurant food/bar blew us away.

First while checking in I was insulted by the registrar. Then I was told I can’t stay after I paid.. One elevator worked ( NOT GOOD FOR THE DISABLED. Then we go to leave the next day they wanna charge for breakfast wasn’t disclosed and no dumb waiters for your luggage .. OVERALL BAD

Room and the rest of the hotel were very clean. There are elevators located at both end of the hall and at the center which was nice. A few times the one elevator was out of service but with others available not a problem. Breakfast bar was decent and quality and selection of food was good. Breakfast was $16 total, but I don't mind paying for a quality breakfast which included real eggs. Also, the breakfast was not overrun by rude kids because it is not free. The pool was nice but could have been a little warmer. Room itself was decent, although on the smaller size. There was no microwave and the refrigerator is not inside a cabinet so I could hear it at night. Climate control worked, but does have a noisy wall unit. Not really an issue because of weather while I was there. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Location is decent, there was a little traffic noise, but not awful. Two entrances/exits makes the hotel convenient. Overall, I would rate this hotel high for its cleanliness, location, amenities and staff. I felt it was a good value for the price I paid.

We were disappointed we were charged for breakfast, it was buffet just like most other hotels, but we had glass plates and glasses and metal flatware, certainly not worth the $14.95 that wanted to charge. Attendant gave us a break because we didn’t eat that much,, cofffee, juice bagel w/cream cheese and 2 pancakes 3 bacon.

Excellent breakfast, the bar lady on Sunday evening was awesome. The sheets and bedding sparkling white as were the bathroom top. The receptionists were very helpful and extremely kind.

Hotel was very nice and convenient location, we enjoyed the bar and menu. We would definitely stay there again.

Staff at the front desk was very dismissive and made her email that she was composing more important than checking me in. It ended up being the general manager, Brooke Davis of all things. She told me she’d be right with me little did I know I’d be standing there for five minutes and she composed an email. I think we’ve all composed emails before, and if you don’t have time to finish, you save the draft and go back to it later. Very disrespectful to make me stand there and wait until she was done writing her letter. The lobby was completely empty, and I was the only one standing in front of her, and she acted as if, I wasn’t even there.

One of the elevators was broken, another had an issue of the 5th floor button getting stuck. The room, while not bad in itself, felt cramped and the mini fridge was hidden away in a cabinet, so I didn't even discover it until day 3. I also would have appreciated coffee from the lobby being available at all times, as the coffee in the room itself was a couple of k-cups but zero creamer... Also, $50 per night incidental fee is crazy. I'm glad I had the extra $250 available but it felt kind of outrageous when most places I've stayed is $20 or a flat like $80-$100.

I liked the hotel bar, the big open lobby, and the beds in the room. The location of the hotel was convenient, as you could hop on the highway easily or you could travel through som residential streets and get to the down town area with little fuss. very convenient to restaraunts and sightseeing

Is it very convenient for us since we have family near by. The restaurant and the indoor pool for the kids

1) The plants next to the handicapped parking spaces do not allow the passenger access to the vehicle once parked. This has been a problem for years. 2) I have stayed here many times and this is the first time my room had a preschool sized toilet. It was extremely low.

Would have been completely fine if we would have got the 100 dollar deposit back like the front desk said we would.. the staff at the restaurant beside the indoor pool could definitely use some help

Unfriendly staff, no games or card games that they sau they have, felt like parental controls were on for everything even adults. Rooms were not spacious, minimal upgrades to look nice in pictures. Rooms are VERY thing. Heard every child and concersation down the hall from us in our bed. And just the most unfriendly staff I have ever come across.

The staff showed amazing care when I had a full-body fall in the lobby shortly before a funeral. The food at the restaurant was fabulous, and the breakfast buffet is well worth the extra cost! We found our room extremely comfortable. It also helped that we were able to bring our dog at an affordable price.

There was a restaurant and bar. We ate there and the food was good it just took a while to get it. We had to take cold showers. I called the hotel before booking online and the lady at the desk never said anything about having water issues in the rooms. No one wants to pay over $200 a night and have to take a cold shower. The next morning the lady at the desk said I’m sorry but we have someone working on the problem.

It was a lovely property. Well maintained. We were very tired so it was great there was a very good restaurant on the property. The staff was very nice. The rooms were a bit small and there was no complimentary breakfast

The room was very clean. Our second day, there was a leak and they moved us to another room very quickly. We also had a bit of a billing issue upon arrival. Paid previously thru Expedia, but they requested our card. Once I showed proof of payment they worked at having the additional funds paid put back on our card.

Rooms were up to date and Dove products included toiletries. Pool wasn’t very heated as said and the indoor hot tub had been filled in… the indoor hot tub would have been GREAT!!!!

The room was clean and well maintained. It seemed as if it had been recently renovated. We were pleased with the number of outlets and ports placed throughout the room as there usually aren't enough at most hotels. We ate dinner at the bar and grill. Our server was so nice and intuitive. The food was great and reasonable in price.

The beds were rock hard most uncomfortable but I've ever slept in a matter of fact really didn't sleep much pillows were just for like a better word just crap feather pillows that had been half-filled and when you laid on it it just came over the top of your face because your head went all the way to the bed the second night I had to call and ask for some pillows because it was just I couldn't do it two nights in a row. We were on the second floor I am disabled and the elevator was out of service there's no free option for breakfast which I understand the buffet and that's great but at least have some fresh fruit or something bananas or apples something that somebody can get that isn't eating an entire Buffet at that price. Also even your cheapest one of the mill truck stop hotels have coffee 24 hours in the lobby this hotel didn't even serve coffee in the lobby after 10:00 a.m. that's ridiculous we called and asked for trash bags because we didn't have any in our room for the bathroom trash can or for the trash can in the bedroom we were told that somebody bring them up they never came. This was by far the worst hotel stay I've had in a very long time and I would never go back there and I would never recommend it to anybody. And if you do and you're not happy don't try to tell the front desk staff they just don't care.

We’ve always stayed at a nearby hotel when we’re in the Asheville area, but as my husband stated ‘this hotel is a hidden gem!’ Thanks for your wonderful hotel, and friendly staff, we will definitely be returning customers.

We called multiple times asking what was damaged and were told someone “wrote on a lamp” and we were being charged to replace it. We spoke to the front desk and management multiple times to ask for photos of said damage, none ever came. We were eventually told the charge would be reversed from the hotel by their Manager, Brooke Jones, and had to call three different times, it has been 2 weeks and we still have no refund. If you stayed here, check your credit card, someone is clearly giving themselves side holiday bonuses on guests dime…

The last night of our stay I was woken up about 10 pm to a lot of smoke in our room. After waking up and going to the hall because I was concerned it was apparent someone was smoking in the non smoking room 2 doors down. I called the front desk and they said they unfortunately they couldn’t be sure where it was coming from and there was nothing they could do. So we got to sleep in cigarette smoke for half the night. Finally there are no safes in the rooms so we didn’t have them cleaned while we were there. I walked down to the front desk to get towels twice and they were always very put off about helping with anything. The service in the bar and restaurant was great and food was decent.

Finally there are no safes in the rooms so we didn’t have them cleaned while we were there. I walked down to the front desk to get towels twice and they were always very put off about helping with anything. The service in the bar and restaurant was great and food was decent.

The lobby and the room were certainly acceptable, but we got hit with a $33 bill for a poultry breakfast buffet. Usually at hotels of this level, some sort of a breakfast buffet is offered at no additional cost to the visitor. To have a bowl of cereal and a yogurt and be charged that amount is not acceptable. There were two of us.

For what it’s worth the staff did what they could (I think) of a bad situation created by the building architects. Our first room had a window connected to the pool atrium which is essentially a giant echo chamber when it’s filled with several dozen screaming kids (which it was). You could hear the yelling inside the bathroom of our room even with the door closed. We asked to be moved, which they did… to ANOTHER room directly connected to the pool atrium. The 3rd room we ended up in wasn’t connected to the pool atrium, but the internet was essentially unusable. Thus, every time we needed to use the internet, we had to go back downstairs to the… wait for it… POOL ATRIUM. Worse things have happened to me as an adult than the above complaints, but keep in mind they still charged us money for it all. Since I assume all Holiday Inns share similar architecture, I’ll definitely make every effort to never stay at one ever again! Staff was lovely though

This was our first time taking our dog to a dog, friendly hotel, and the staff was absolutely fantastic with making her feel welcome!

Staff all acted as if they hated their job. Asked for additional coffee and was told they needed mgmt approval. Front desk acted like it was a chore to wait on us.

We stayed one night but the beds and pillos were sooo comfortable. Everything was clean and the staff was great. The maintenance woman helped me fjgure out the tv. Got it in no time.

We had no hot water. For $300 a night it would be nice to at least take a hot shower. No hot water Saturday or Sunday!!! Would like a call from Expedia or someone this is unacceptable!

The rooms were clean but we had our room on 2nd Floor and the balcony was faving the indoor pool. There were children in the pool and it was so noisy. The pool placement/room placement should be better or the doors of such room should be sound proof. Water heating system had issues and there was no hot water for hours in the morning. Had to take a cold shower in a 42F temprature.

The hotel was very clean and pleasant to stay at. The only complaint I have is not offering complimentary breakfast. I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels that were less fancy and they offered basic complimentary breakfast for guests. For the price I payed for staying 1 night I was hoping for atleast that much. Other than that it was a very beautiful hotel, thankful there was places to eat nearby!

The parking area ppeared to be safe. A left turn out of the hotel driveway onto the busy road is very difficult due to the dense bushes and curve of the road, creating a blind spot. But , the back entrance is much better.

This was a good place for us to stop for the night on the way to Charleston. The lobby did reek of the chlorine because the pool is right there (random, kind of cool, but the smells is not fun). Nevertheless, it was clean and safe.

There was a family reunion with kids, running everywhere and no staff or parents doing anything about it. The noise level was over the top at the pool and in the lobby we thankfully you were at the end of the hall away from where the families were staying, but in order to get out the door we had to prop it open with a hanger because maintenance couldn’t fix the key card issue.

The staff allowed the noise in the lobby to continue going on with no respect for other guests. There was a large group of boys…a baseball team and the parents…that completely took over the pool and lobby area. This hotel has an indoor pool as a part of their open lobby. The noise was deafening on Friday and Saturday nights until 10 pm when the pool closed. We were visiting family and could barely carry on a conversation.

The air in my room was not working. I called the front desk, and a staff member came to the room and fiddled with it. The air began to work. Around 1 am, I woke up, and the air had stopped working again. I had an early morning, so I didn’t contact the office again. I had to get out early the next morning, but I had a very sleepless night.

We did not spend much time in the hotel on our visit, but the room was nice, the bed and linens were great. The breakfast was a little expensive so we found other places to eat. We did not want a buffet - too much food for us.

Other than that, the hotel was nice and the staff was pleasant. They offered a breakfast buffet for an additional cost. Our room rate should have included the breakfast at no additional cost. The hotel was renovated in 2022, and Asheville tends to have higher rates, so we expected that. However, during a 6-week road trip, we’ve stayed at nicer hotels that always included breakfast. Other than that, this hotel was nice.

Ok place for one nite

The chicken tenders were terrible. I ate one, left the rest. The kitchen needs help.

All the staff we interacted with were very warm and courteous. The hotel has a very cozy bar/restaurant area. The atrium of the hotel was also very zen with a fireplace and fountains, lots of light and comfortable spots to read a book with a cup of coffee.

In town for softball tournament and the place was clean and staff was friendly.

The bathroom tile grout was stained & gross and the alarm clock not set by us but went off at 6am. The off switch was not working and could not be unplugged. It went off every 10 minutes. We got up hours before we wanted to and left. We asked to speak to a manager and there was not one on duty. We left our number because we were told a manager would be in soon. We called later in the day just to be told again, no manager on duty. What? Obviously some changes need to made. How is it that no one could address our concerns?

Lobby was beautiful and kid friendly. We played board games while I enjoyed a glass of wine.

Apparently there was a baseball conference in the area so the pool had 20+ kids(6-15) in it at all times, I went down twice and got in the pool and they would tackle each other into me and my wife. Most horrible experience I’ve ever had at a IHG location been staying at them for over 10 years and will not do it again after this. Other that that when you would try to go to sleep at nights or leave the room and go out they would be running through the halls yelling the upper floor kids would be jumping and running and their parents didn’t do anything about it. So after $500 for 2 nights I’m about all done

We had a nice stay at the hotel. There was a boil water warning because of Helene but we weren't concerned with that. The restaurant served some great food and the staff was very nice. The rooms were cleaned and stocked!

We stayed in room 307. Half of the electrical receptacles did not work. Shower head was horrible. No microwave. I had to go down to lobby level for getting my ice for my room.

The property was clean. The outside pool needs to be cleaned more and the fitness center was out of service. Other than that stay was good.

Only complaint was the breakfast which was not worth the upcharge.

I really loved the time we had here! The staff were super friendly and accepting. The only aspects I didn’t like is the cost of food and drinks were expensive, and the accommodations that were required in the app of Expedia were not looked at until I called! When I called they had to switch our room to the needed handicapped. When me and my husband got there, the accommodations like the shower chair was broken and not nailed to the ground like it should be, and the extra they had was way too small for me. It was also our honeymoon so we didn’t have much privacy as we wanted, adult times were very limited because we had neighbors and close to others in the pool area. I also was told they was handicap accommodating for the pool area and hot tub, but it wasn’t wheelchair friendly and having steps.

The lady at the desk was rude and tried to charge an extra 100$ the toilet in the room was too low for us . Hard to get on and off the toilet. She said the extra 100$ was an incidental fee. And my debit card was compromised after they used my card .

The location is really nice next to a woods and some rooms have a view of the mountains. It's reasonably clean with very comfy mattresses. Since being there 2 years ago, I was disappointed that they no longer had a whirlpool and that they allow so many dogs now. Many were left unattended and barking in rooms--and don't forget some people have allergies! I prefer hotels that limit pet-friendly rooms to just a few where not everyone has to deal with them or have a room they used to be in. Also, my neighboring guests made no attempt to use quiet voices - even early in the morning and you can hear everything through adjoining doors.

Everything was taken care of by very professional and understanding employees...at check-in, and maintenance.

I really enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn West Asheville. The hotel is in a great location. Only a quick drive to downtown and other attractions. Our room was very clean and fairly modern looking. The morning breakfast buffet was pretty good (extra charge but kids eat free). The pool was a nice touch! It was surrounded by many beautiful plants and was indoor connecting to outdoor pool which was fun for the kids. The stuff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice and quiet

The motel itself was very nice, open and clean. Even the outside area seemed very clean. No musty odors or other displeasing odors inside or outside; (No cooking odors or 1970's "fun" odors). No sign of homeless or other vagrants hanging around. The area felt very safe. The room was nice and quiet. The beds were very comfy & soft.

Our favorite place to stay in Asheville

Had a very good stay here for 3 nights while I explored the area. Only suggestions are to better explain best way to leave the property is from the back and go around to light. (very busy intersection) And that the back entrance takes you to the 2nd floor. Also no signage to find ice. I went on an ice exploration trip and finally found it on the main floor near the front lobby. But truly well situated while I visited several tourist areas.

Pretty place, very well kept outside and inside. No microwaves in some rooms were a surprise, as were loose toilet seats in two rooms. Perhaps consider a breakfast of sorts since the $16.95 plan didn't seem to sit well with many people. The Staff were ALL excellent.

Not loud after 10, but both were a bit loud up til then. Great service and reasonably priced, hot food. But for some reason none of the three humans in the room slept well. The a/c cycles loudly and didn’t keep a consistent temp. The dog slept beautifully.

This hotel was perfect in every way - easy check in, ultra comfortable beds, pool, bar and the view. Also nice staff and architecture. We will return soon!

Some of the amenities were not clean and functioning (ie: the outside pool was closed and the water green but there was only a piece of plastic dividing that from the inside section. My kids really wanted to swim but I was concerned about the quality of the water plus it was NOT even close to warm!) and we had to call for towels every night because we were not given enough. Good location if you’re visiting Asheville and/or the Biltmore, though.

Found on Expedia for a GREAT price. The hotel decor was quite lovely and cozy with an indoor and outdoor pool. Pet friendly too! Right next door to Zagsby and McDonalds. Beautiful drive to the location as well. Very happy and definitely plan on returning for a longer stay.

I didn’t like that we had a dog in the room next to us that barked, they could not get the owners back because they were at the hospital and we had to change rooms at 10 o’clock at night

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. I was disappointed with the property. I wanted to use the outdoor pool and it was closed for maintenance. The lobby bar was closed. The restaurant/bar had a limited menu and slow service. The hotel wasn't downtown.

The add said they have a complementary breakfast but went I get there breakfast was 14.99

However was required to pay $100 deposit on room upon check in

We normally stay at your hotel due to the convenience of everything. The cafe, breakfast, dinner and of course the pool (my grandkids love the pool). Thank you for always being so pleasant and keeping the property nice. We will be back.

Very nice hotel.. very close to a field that we were in town for a tournament for. My only complaint is that the staff did not see to like all the kids staying there. Just not super kid friendly.

Having stayed at three different Holiday Inn Express hotels in Asheville/western NC within five days, I was very impressed with the Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore. The facility was much nicer than usual, having a very large lobby with an indoor/outdoor pool. The room was very clean. My only complaint was that the old style bathtub was very slippery, and there was no bath mat. That kind of safety oversight is serious by my standard. I wish that breakfast was included as well - it was available for $14, but having just had "free" breakfast at two other Holiday Inn hotels this week, I know that they were certainly not worth $14.

We already had plans to stay at the Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore West, but on our way our car hit a piece on debris on the I-40 and busted the radiator. When finally arrived everyone was very accommodating. The next day, we went swimming and relaxed in the sun. We met Fred and told him our troubles. He waa so kind! He got us a couple breakfast vouchers after hearing what we'd been through. We also enjoyed the bar. Great food! We plan on a return trip and plan on staying at the Holiday Inn again.

There is a fridge in each room but the only microwave was in the lobby and had a turn dial. On the plus side, it was clean and the pool was nice (half inside half outside.
