Ok place to stay if you just want an easy & quick location from the highway. The room looked clean at first glance but wasn’t great when you looked closer. The tissue box was completely empty, there was a strong smell of air freshener & smoke that was very overwhelming. The carpets in the hallway were very stained and not vacuumed very well. There was also someone smoking pot in the hallway & screaming for everyone to wake up at 6 am. Overall, I don’t recommend.

I could very much tell that this hotel was very well-maintained. The staff was kind and helpful. The free breakfast was excellent too. My only comment is that the parking got a little tight at night as the parking spaces were almost all filled up. There is extra parking “above” their parking lot, but just be careful to park in the correct spaces and not the neighboring business’s spaces. I had no trouble but just wanted to share. I would definitely stay here again. If you’re into craft beer, Burial’s Forestry Camp location is like 5 minutes away. Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore are close too and are easy to get to via car or an Uber. Thanks for an easy experience! You also save some money by staying here and not downtown or with the Biltmore hotels.

This property initially gave us a dirty room- with penny-sized dried red blood circles splattered under the sheets that we removed for inspection- & on the center of the blackout curtain, curly coarse pubic hair and other kinds of signs in the sheets that the sheets had not been changed. This sort of unkept condition. There were stains on what were supposed to be the “fresh” folded towels as well. Thanks to the manager in training taking our pictures of the room seriously, we were not given a customer service apology of any sort, but thankfully were wordlessly upgraded to a much nicer suite. Breakfast had lots of carb choices, though the area had flies trying to get to our food as we were eating and shooing them away.
- 5/5
We were in a "family" room with five adults and it was suprisingly comfortable albeit a bit crowded. The breakfast was very, very good and we always appreciate locations with hot chocolate available as we do not drink coffee or tea. Nothing specific that I can remember.
- 5/5
It was a nice visit. Room was clean and comfortable. Had to wait a couple of minutes when we checked in as no one was at the front desk, but he was pleasant when he arrived. Would stay here again.

The location was perfect with only a short drive into the mountains to watch the sunset. Breakfast was delicious with so many options and of coarse those delish fluffy donit yourself waffles too. Nothing went wrong on this stay. No complaints.

Updated. It had thoughtful additions like wireless charging on the lamp. The lobby is beautiful with a brick fireplace. It has bold bright colors in the breakfast area and in the rooms. The barn door for the bathroom works perfectly and easily. Plenty of storage for clothes and items. The breakfast is like most hotel free breakfasts. Would definitely stay here again.

Only one elevator and it was used by housekeeping most of the time.
- 2/5
Location is good Bed is metal not secured properly. Mattress was hard and dipping the middle. Pillows are tiny and uncomfortable. Shower floor needs scrubbing and pendant light doesn’t work.
- 4/5
Breakfast area seemed a little squished. A few more options for breakfast would have been great as well. The room was nice. However there was no remote for the tv so that was interesting to figure out.

We booked a room for five people. Had to ask for linens for pull out bed and extra towels. Breakfast stopped 25 minutes early.
- 2/5
The man working when we checked in was not welcoming or nice. Honestly he was rude. He seemed to have a group of buddies hanging out in the lobby with him. The floors in the room were dirty with crumbs in multiple places. The door frame on the inside was coming off. The breakfast was very lacking and not much was offered. The beds were comfortable. The man working we checked out was very friendly. He smiled and was happy to talk to us.

Helpful staff. Great breakfast. Close to Arc encounter and a great Mexican restaurant.
- 2/5
Our room was not clean and was missing shampoo and soap (which I was able to get from the front desk). We were only staying one night and I had to jump on a call right when we got there, so didn't notify the staff. There were visible stains that didn't look like they'd ever been cleaned on the pull-out couch in the room and it was dirty when we pulled it out. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the breakfast, but I would not stay here again.

Staff were helpful, good location for what we needed. Gym facilities were a let down. Breakfast was basic, we only ate it on the first day. Overall though a nice stay for a long weekend.
- 2/5
The rooms were large and clean. The hallways were terrible. The carpets were very dirty and stained. The kitchen food for breakfast was below average at best. Not very happy overall with the hotel.
- 3/5
So the breakfast was minimal miniature muffins, small yogurt cups, cereal, a waffle maker, egg patties and biscuits. Our shower leaked all over the floor, the bathroom door was broken were even shut had a gap, and they wouldn’t enforce any noise complaints we had people sitting on the patio just outside our window until 1am just yelling.
- 3/5
We were only there for 10 minutes before the people downstairs started complaining about us being too loud, but we were just moving our things into the room.
- 5/5
The location was great since we were traveling through that area to reach our destination. The breakfast was great for a light breakfast to get our morning started. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nothing. It’s a good place to stay.

Poetry is old we had to change room due to noise from upstairs
- 5/5
Beds were extremely comfortable.

Nice clean room. Not the largest we've ever stayed in but there was everything we needed. We enjoyed the shower head and water pressure.Nice size tv. Check in was quick and personnel was kind. Parking lot was rather small.
- 5/5
We loved the location of this place. Will definitely come here again on a future trip.
- 4/5
This hotel is located in close proximity to many Asheville attractions. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was nice and clean. Good experience!
- 5/5
Breakfast is what you would expect, geared more with continental with the exception of sausage and scramble egg patties with a couple fresh waffle irons. Over all it what we expected.
- 4/5
Parking was easy. Breakfast was the same each morning, adding more to the breakfast menu will be good.
- 4/5
the staff was very freindly
- 4/5
It was nice enough. Not really very close to Biltmore but not too far either. Staff was friendly. Parking easy.
- 4/5
There needs to be more light in the room
- 1/5
Property and room was disgusting. Mood in tub and ceiling falling down in room. The desk clerk was just sitting in front area talking to a friend. When complained about room he was not apologetic and did not care when we tried to show him pictures. We did ask for refund and refused to stay. He did grant refund.
- 4/5
The front desk staff was very good. Check-in and out were fast. The hotel is located at the intersection of several roads, so you can access the roads very quickly. The breakfast menu is regular, nothing special. The walls, floors, and doors are not soundproof. You can hear everything. I do not know if it was supposed to be like that, but our beds were not made during our stay. Garbage stayed in the garbage bins until our checkout. The dirty towels were removed from our room daily, but we had to ask the front desk person to give us new ones.
- 1/5
The indoor pool was freezing cold, the TV barely worked, and honestly in 2026 there’s no reason hotels shouldn’t at least have functioning smart TVs. To make things worse, parts of the hotel smelled strongly like Raid/roach spray which was very concerning with small children. We were so uncomfortable that we ended up checking out at 8 PM and driving home a full day early with two kids. Definitely not the relaxing family stay we expected.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel close to the Biltmore. Good hot breakfast. Great value for the price.

There are several things that need improvement at this lodge. Upon arrival we were not treated in a friendly manner. He acted like we were interfering with his time when we arrived. We arrived early and he said it would be a $35.00 extra charge for early check in . So we left and looked for something to do until our check in time. When we arrived back he still was not friendly, another employee had to go find him and it took about 10 minutes for him to come to the registration desk. I was then 5 minutes early, I asked him if it was still to early to check in and I got no response from him. Finally got our room key and got our things moved into the room. There was a strange smell that seemed to be coming from the room next door so we went to Walmart and bought a plug in air freshener to help with the smell. There were several really important things in the room that should have worked but did not. One of the most is the bathroom door would not shut so you could not lock it to have any privacy when going to the restroom. The beds were so soft it was like we were sleeping in a gully. Terrible nights sleep. Did not eat breakfast. When checking out still no hope you enjoyed your stay or anything. Would not stay here again
- 2/5
Terrible staff and parking
- 2/5
Front desk staff was to welcoming or friendly at all. Hardly spoke when you approached them. They almost gave a very uncomfortable feeling. At night they would have friends hanging out that felt uncomfortable. Upon arrival they gave us a room that was already occupied. That left me uneasy the rest of my stay.
- 4/5
This hotel is all about location. We were in Asheville to visit the Biltmore and it was just a quick drive down the road. Hotel was fine , parking was tight but we found a spot each time. Breakfast was below our expectations. Egg patties, biscuits and gravy and waffles. Coffee from a machine that tasted gross. Beds were good though

our room door did not latch and lock unless slammed, staff was disinterested in this issue. sliding barn door on bathroom was cumbersome and noisy. sliding doors on shower were difficult to keep in place. we stayed at 5 different hotels in 7 days of travel, I would rank this one lowest on scale, not recommended.

Nice facility for the price. Nicely remodeled and clean. Staff was helpful when we had an issue. Very noisy from folks walking around upstairs. Gym is tiny with two machines. Breakfast was ok. Waffle maker, bagels and pastries, tiny egg rounds and sausage patties. Nothing to do or restaurants that are walkable, but convenient to the Biltmore.

- 5/5

- 4/5
The continental breakfast is nothing special but gets the job done, cereal, muffins, waffle maker, juice, coffee, and yogurt. Room was clean and included a mini fridge and microwave which is a huge plus. AC unit kept rattling but that might of just been my room. Overall, it was a good experience.
- 1/5
The instructions for the room placement is not stated clearly at all. The clerk was rude in explaining that you have to cross the creek ride the elevator circle around the building to up stairs and then get to the hall for the room. Once inside the room the door to the balcony didn't close properly and had such a gap we were grateful it wasn't raining. The amenities and access are not very convenient for older guests or handicapped persons. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone
- 4/5
Bathroom door would not lock or stay shut. People in room above us made lots of noise at night.
- 5/5
The Brookstone Lodge is clean and convienent. Only fault is no room safe. However a great value, and we would stay here again.

Room was not very clean. There was a visible gap between the toilet and floor. Staff called saying there was a leak into the room below. Bath mat was wet and we worried it may have been due to a leaky toilet. Pretty gross.

Clean room. Nice staff.
- 3/5
Everything was fine. It’s not a five star hotel by any means but it was fine for an overnight stay. Everything was clean and we didn’t need a thing extra. Staff was great, breakfast was fine. My only complaint was that the entire hotel smelled like marijuana.
- 4/5
Lobby smelled a bit old, but rooms were great. Breakfast was the same both mornings. Staff- very average.
- 3/5
The hotel had a problem with stink bugs that kept getting into my room. They are not harmful, but they are not fun.
- 5/5
The beds were really comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
- 2/5
The staff was not friendly at all.Couldn't answer any of our questions concerning the area that we were in and no advice on where to go
- 3/5
The room itself was great and clean. Staff was friendly, but there were some incidences while we were there that really put me off. Sketchy people in the lobby, someone doing burnouts in the parking lot after 11pm, weed smells in the corridors, any one thing wouldn't have put me off, but with all that happening I won't be coming back.

Clean room
- 4/5
Overall the space was very clean and staff was friendly. Our room was quite stuffy which didnt is our only complaint
- 2/5
there was no one at the front desk for about 10 minutes when we checked in
- 4/5
Hotel was clean. However, very noisy. Had to call staff to quiet adjacent tenants after the 10 pm Quiet Time Curfew. Lots of overhead noise.
- 4/5
The drank in the sink was slow. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back and stay again.
- 4/5
Breakfast was pretty basic, but okay and they refilled the limited hot items regularly. The coffee was great and it was one of those machines, so it never runs empty. As far as the staff - the ONLY interaction we had was at check in and check out. The rest of the time the front office staff never even acknowledged our presence. When we would come back in to the hotel or were leaving, they were usually sitting near the breakfast area on their phone and never even looked up. Not really a big problem, but not what we are used to. The maids and breakfast staff always smiled and said good morning, though. Overall a good stay and we would stay again if we were in the area.
- 3/5

- 4/5
Great stay! Just not if you're looking for quiet.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and cozy. I love the beds and comforters. The pool wasnt ice cold which the kids enjoyed. Staff was super friendly
- 5/5
Well maintained nice hotel. Only downside is heavy traffic near the hotel
- 1/5
I had to wait to enter the building until someone at the front desk finally heard the phone ringing, I followed protocall for after hours check in. Also when I got into my room we had bugs on the bed. I killed and flushed in the toilet. Very discussing
- 4/5
Loved the heated pool.
- 5/5
The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. We arrived a bit early and the frint desk noticed how tired we were and git us into a room very quickly. Thank you.
- 5/5
Large, clean room with a comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a very noisy family at 4am, but that wasn’t their fault.
- 5/5
Excellent stay!
- 3/5
Gym door did not open with room key. Advertises as a lodge but is really a decorative comfort inn. Limited parking also. Staff was courteous when we needed our HVAC looked at in room for overwhelming heat at night.
- 2/5
Bathroom door( barn door style) would not stay closed. Key cards were given in used paper holders. Group of men drinking beer between 2 trucks in parking lot when we came back from dinner. Side outside door of hotel had outside trash can overflowing with empty beer cans and still there this morning when left. The breakfast had only cold butter for toast. No jam, etc. No cream for coffee. No fresh fruit. Off brand cereals. Front desk person at check in and check out not friendly. Never said thank you, enjoy your stay, have a safe trip home, nothing. I would never stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Hope this review gives someone else the info I wish I had seen first. And fyi Barn Doors are for barns not bathrooms!!,
- 5/5
Very large room, and clean. A very noisy neighbor (and child) at 4am was a minor inconvenience, but in general the staff was very attentive.
- 4/5
Absolutely loved the location. It was in close proximity to shops, restaurants, and activities. Breakfast was filling and there multiple choices. It wasn't 5 star but we didn't expect it to be. Cons: Only 1. We were hit with a $200 fee that we were not expecting. The front desk clerk was less than cordial. Iwill say that he was more accommodating after we said we'd go elsewhere because of the fee. Overall a nice stay. Cin

It was average - only stayed there bc of the location. Will not stay there again.
- 3/5
When asked hotel said it was all they had and had given our room to a stay over customer. We had to stay in the smaller room and to top it off, bathroom door would not stay closed. Breakfast was less than good. Will not stay at this hotel again.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Heated pool is a must visit for quick relaxation.

Damon at the front desk called me a liar when I told him I had a ESA dog. He told me everyone says that, even after I offered to show him the paperwork from my medical provider. I told him that there was no pet policy on the hotels site and regarding a service dog. They are allowed to go wherever the owner goes. He was very rude and short with me. I had prepaid for a week stay and had to call Expedia for a refund.

Very clean.
- 2/5
The heater was very loud and the didn't have tempur pedic beds they advertised.
- 2/5
Also the breakfast area was strangely arranged so it was hard to get to the offerings because the tables were very close to it. We went down for breakfast, but quickly left because a large family suddenly burst into gospel music and we became very uncomfortable and left to get breakfast elsewhere. Also the parking arrangements were strange and you had to either park in one of the few spaces or walk up a weird steep hill It didn’t feel like the accommodations were accurately reflected in the Expedia listing.
- 5/5
I had never stayed here but needed a room to be close to work in case of the bad weather that was forecasted. I thought it was a fantastic place! My room was really nice, it was clean, and it was quite. I was really impressed with everything. I will use this place again if I need a place close to my job!
- 5/5
I had to book a room super last minute without any firsthand knowledge of the area. My room was clean, the amenities were great and the staff went above and beyond.
- 2/5
I came to this hotel because, I had filming to do at the biltmore mansion, and this hotel was in close proximity. The shower in the room was terrible, the water would not go down as the shower was running causing water to almost overflow. Could not shower comfortably (huge) inconvenience) I could not wash my hair or body comfortably. Staff wasn’t friendly at all except for the tall small frame gentleman, that was at the front desk when checking in. Breakfast was ok, except it started late, the lights were not on, and it looked closed down. I asked if breakfast was been served, and I was told at 630 am, It was way pass that time. The Hotel was spotless! Cleaning staff were very good and professional. Location was good, parking was good. The shower incident, was a huge turn off for me, being that I had filming to do for a movie. I will not return to this hotel
- 5/5
Very very nice place to stay! Older facility but nicely maintained and updated. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fairly simple but zero complaints. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
The room was clean. Staff is friendly. The amenities were great- the heated pool is fantastic after hiking.
- 5/5
Only complaint is it's wood frame building and you hear every step from guest on floor above. Sounded like a dance was going on in the morning. So either request the top floor or hope the room above you is vacant or they sleep in.
- 5/5
Wet clean hotel and great employees, would certainly stay there again, great value for the money
- 5/5
Great day and easy access to the Biltmore village and Highway
- 4/5
Room was spacious and very clean. I enjoyed my 4 days there. Awesome TV!!!
- 5/5
Nothing bad to say. It was very clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable.
- 3/5
The staff was nice and accommodating helping us with not having a tv remote. There was no cable. The rooms are small and clean. The rooms are old with some updates. I did appreciate no carpet. There's no room to really relax in the room without being on the bed due to size. An overnight stay is ok. I would not recommend multiple nights unless you plan to just sleep or relax in bed.
- 3/5
The bathtub didn’t drain well. I showered in ankle deep water. No bars to hang towels on. The coffee maker in the room didn’t work.
- 4/5
Great room, clean large
- 5/5
Everything was very nice, clean, friendly check in and out. Bed comfy, nice soft sheets. Room a good size, nice bathroom and shower. The only thing was that it was noisy because of the Main Street it was on, lots of street traffic and noise. But we found the location very convenient for our stay.
- 4/5
there was leftover food in fridge, I notified front desk, who offered to come and get it, I had already bagged it up, few ants in bathroom, suggest no slip strips in shower/tub, the only hand rail was outside the shower at the lower end, I consider this a safety hazard for anyone over 65, and is a fall risk,
- 3/5
Room was clean. Very noisey hotel. Person above us had heavy feet and we had to call the desk.
- 2/5
The room we stayed has a mold, wet smell when we walked in. We are traveling with 3 young children and we do not feel comfortable for the kids to stay inside. We reported to the front desk request another room, unfortunately that was the last room available. The staff member was very friendly, he come in with deodorizer spray, he sprayed the AC filter, the room smelled better, however it does not change the mold conditions of the room. The floor was very dirty, my kids walked for 2 mins and their feet were already black. There was even an empty cup on the floor from last reservation. The Walk-in shower was leaking and the water was everywhere inside the bathroom, which made it unsafe for you to walk around, it was very slippery. We reported to the front desk, however it was not fixed as they promised. The property itself needs a lot of improvement as well. The exhaust fan never worked, the sofa bed is old and very uncomfortable to sleep on. My 3 kids ended up staying with us in 2 queen beds, it was just very inconvenient. The staff member were very friendly, the breakfast was ok, very basic but hot and clean. The location is very convenient as well. Our biggest concern was the cleanliness and the condition of the room, other than that, it was good.
- 5/5
Everything very clean. Just the breakfast ran out so fast, around 8:00am wasn’t enough food to eat
- 3/5
Room was clean. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but it was good for our short time there. Would stay again
- 4/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff.
- 5/5
We loved this hotel. Very clean
- 5/5
clean room, front staff was quick and helpful....I loved the fact that this amazing cozy and modern room was only like 12 minutes from the Biltmore House.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 3/5
The room was just OK. The bathroom floor was sticky. We made it known to housekeeping but they never cleaned our room during our stay.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We took a family trip with young kids and felt safe. Room was clean. Would definitely stay again.
- 1/5
We waited on someone to come to the front desk to check us in for over 30 minutes. We were already tired from traveling all morning was just extremely frustrating. Once we were in the room, the air would not cool the room enough to be very comfortable. None of the plug-ins worked for any of our cell phone and headphones and we constantly were having to take turns charging them in the car with we would go out. The one positive is, It’s very close to downtown Asheville without saying right in downtown Asheville. Granite we like the location, but we will never plan to stay here again.
- 5/5
Cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in years! Easy to get to.
- 4/5
The room was clean, but the surrounding area is very loud. If you enjoy the white noise of traffic, you’ll really appreciate this spot. Great proximity to Biltmore Village. The breakfast that’s included isn’t much to mention, but it is free—so there’s that. As long as you’re only looking for a spot to sleep you’ll be pretty happy here. Definitely not a spot for relaxing or scenic, but otherwise good.
- 3/5
The room was in good condition eight out of 10 stars for cleanliness. There were a couple long hairs on the bathroom floor, but everything was very tidy and clean.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay, clean quiet room, good breakfast

Staff wasn’t very helpful. 2 Lights didn’t work in room and it was very dark.
- 3/5
The staff was courteous. The rooms were okay, but comfortable. The breakfast didn't have a wide selection. The edges tasted like powder.
- 3/5
Na
- 5/5
Everything was great there.. not really a fan of continental breakfast...but what they had was fine. Would stay there again!
- 4/5
Clean room. A little noisy with the busy road. Good breakfast. Nice staff but should explain in detail about the Breakfast, 24/7 coffee, etc
- 3/5
Room was in good condition. Breakfast was basic. Out of three night stay, meat was offered only once.
- 4/5
stairs needed vacuuming and our floors in our room could have been better. Lots of traffiic noise
- 5/5
Clean, convenient
- 4/5
Good size room. Comfortable stay
- 1/5
The room was truly uncomfortable, dirty and felt off.
- 4/5
Clean and affordable
- 5/5
I always experience this hotel as safe and comfortable. It’s a quiet setting conveniently located near the Biltmore area and downtown. It’s an easy on-and-off the major roadways.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The cleanliness was on point. The breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
The check in was seamless, as was check out (even though we had to leave a day early). The room was clean and everything was in order. The only thing we found disappointing was the breakfast. There was no protein offered (other than dairy ie. eggs and yogurt).
- 5/5
Great value for money. Had an issue shortly after checkin with the person in the room next door with their tv playing really loudly. The hotel staff was quick to resolve the issue, moving me to a quieter room. I would stay here again with no hesitation.
- 5/5
Breakfast was mediocre
- 3/5
The guy at the front desk was very unfriendly and unhelpful, same thing with another man that was working around 1130.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and well-maintained, perfect for our weekend trip. The parking lot was a bit small and difficult to navigate with a leg injury and the breakfast was underwhelming, but other than that, it was a great value.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 2/5
The man at the check in was not welcoming or friendly at all. We felt like we were inconveniencing him. There was no eye contact, and when he spoke, he just muttered. We couldn't wait to leave the front desk to go to our room. He was not at all pleasant. Room was ok but we probably won't stay here again due to the poor reception we received.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
The staff was awesome. Room was spotless and ready when we arrived.
- 5/5
Everything looked new! Clean! Friendly lady in kitchen! Very nice accommodations for a great price! Very good location!
- 4/5
Clean, quiet, friendly staff, easy check in, convenient to I-40
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. The room was lacking. The bathroom door is a slider that will not close all the way. Kind of awkward. The light in the vestibule of the room is not working. The room was so hot when we arrived it felt "oven-like" We had to put the air conditioner on. Odd when it's 40 degrees outside..maybe it was location of room, but so hot. The room was clean. The door of the room felt unsecure or loose. It did lock, just a great deal of "play" in it. Felt like our room could've used some repairs. Location was very convenient to Biltmore and also downtown Asheville. Breakfast was ok.
- 4/5
Had tried to call earlier, phone was not answered, multiple times,
- 2/5
The staff checking us in was less than personable. Then we were placed in a room directly next to a side exit, which smelled like cigarette smoke and was so noisy- who knew so many people come in and out of a hotel between 1 and 3am? Would avoid this hotel in the future.
- 5/5
Room was perfect. Everything was great.
- 4/5
Everything was great
- 2/5
I tried to check in early but couldn't and ended up sleeping in my car. I also did not like the fact the whole room was tiled, no carpet. We had an accessible room with a roll in shower. The whole bathroom floor was soaked and it became a hazard to walk and move around in there after a shower was taken.
- 3/5
The staff is very nice and curtious and the room was clean and well stocked with amenities..unfortunately the tv was going out, the heater/air conditioning unit stopped working, and you can hear everyone walking above and next door. Luckily we were busy and didn't spend much time at the room so with all that being said I think I would still give this place a 2nd chance hoping a different room would be better.
- 3/5
Not an amazing stay. Run down despite upgrades in some areas.
- 4/5
Clean room but breakfast was low stocked
- 2/5
The hotel is clean, and well kept…However,, the walls are paper thin and that’s not an exaggeration. When the next door shower went on it sounded like it was in my room. Every step the people took above me sounded like a freight train. I could hear ever door slam throughout the night up until midnight.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean. Amenities good.
- 5/5
Check in was seamless. Room was very clean. Staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Clean as in SPOTLESS, great location and seamless check in!
- 5/5
I give it 100 stars! Every aspect was wonderful! Clean, cozy, safe, great breakfast options, I was traveling alone as an older person and I felt safe and secure!, the cleanliness really stood out to me the most, the housekeeping crew are top notch!!!
- 4/5
Enjoyed the quiet hours posted. Very friendly staff. Easy drive to Biltmore.
- 3/5
The overall stay was great. There was no fan in the bathroom, the barn door on the bathroom was a horrendous idea (and did not lock), there was minimal parking at the hotel, and the pool was not heated though it was indoor. However, that’s where the negatives end. The staff members we interacted with were all wonderful. There were pamphlets (though a lot were a few years old and the places were closed or promotions over in 2022 and 2024) available by the machine. It’s a reasonable distance from downtown Asheville and easy to get into and out of. For the price it’s good, but I think next visit we will splurge on a hotel with a heated pool or hot tub.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, room was very clean, quiet location
- 3/5
Todo estuvo muy bien hasta que llegamos a dormir cuando sacamos el comforter habian pelos bastantes pero el encargado fue muy amable y cambio toda la cama
- 5/5
Love this place. Only place I stay in Asheville. Always super staff. Clean, quiet easy to get everywhere from
- 3/5
When I asked for a copy of the charges at checkout, I was told they couldn’t provide me with one that I had to get it from Expedia which I didn’t know that’s who handled the Hotels.Com. When entering the room, the entry light could not be located. We entered a dark room to turn on the light over the bed to see how to get in. Later, we found the light switch behind the sliding barn door (which we did not care for) that was open and hiding it.
- 5/5
Great place. Cozy enough for our short time in Asheville
- 5/5
The hotel is very accessible to the main road, downtown and biltmore estate. The room is very clean. My family enjoyed our breakfast
- 4/5
Comfortable rooms and furnishings. Average breakfast.
- 5/5
Overall good experience
- 5/5
Clean. Courteous front desk staff. Great amenities. Large spacious room. Good size fridge. Great housekeeping staff. Would visit again.
- 4/5
Clean
- 4/5
Breakfast: dry patties od scrambled eggs, maybe to create your own sandwich but sausage patties too small to use for sandwich, biscuits small and dry. The rest was fine. Nice stay, will stay again
- 4/5
Clean hotel with decent breakfast options
- 5/5
Very easy
- 5/5
Very clean, excellent staff and manager was super helpful.
- 5/5
The Staff was very pleasant and professional. Room was very clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
The beds were very comfortable and the room was nice. The staff was nice as well. Our issue was with noisy guests above and beside us. Rude and inconsiderate others ruined what would have been a very nice experience.
- 4/5
Staff friendly, rooms clean.
- 3/5
Breakfast was awful. No room for sitting. Rooms are smelly.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Accommodations were fair.
- 4/5
Chose this hotel based on other reviews that noted how comfortable the beds were and they were not wrong. Most comfortable beds I’ve experienced at a hotel in awhile. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint was that the toilet ran constantly.
- 5/5
Room clean. Good hot breakfast staff very helpful.quiet
- 5/5
Great room, comfortable, clean. Nice Breakfast
- 5/5
I loved the amenities! I didn’t use the pool, because there wasn’t time. I do love that there’s constantly hot coffee, tea, and cold drinking water if you’d like it. The continental breakfast was pretty good. Waffles, eggs, sausages, or a variety of bagels and such.
- 4/5
Clean and convenient
- 5/5
Yes, staff was great and very helpful.
- 3/5
Breakfast wasn’t much. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, but room was poorly lit.
- 5/5
Learn from our issue: Do not count on your car’s GPS to get you there. Write the full address and be sure to INCLUDE THE ZIPCODE! Without the zipcode you are sent to the other town. The room needs another chair besides a desk chair in it.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff, cozy fire place in lobby, stocked market place, breakfast good.
- 5/5
Overall very nice
- 3/5
The breakfast wasn’t good.
- 5/5
Cleanliness, great customer service
- 4/5
Friendly Staff, great breakfast, room was comfortable, door on bathroom screw came off, but worked out ok, put on closet shelf. Fan in bathroom did not work. Cover to remote batteries missing but worked ok. I have stayed here 5 other times, I will come again for future visits to Asheville. Very convenient location for us.
- 5/5
The room was excellent.
- 5/5
Room was clean and we were able to get in early. Staff cleaned the room very well. Accommodations were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The premises were clean and seemed very efficient. The linens were nice and it felt cozy without being over stuffed.
- 5/5
Room very vlean
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly and do a great job keeping the condition of things great for guests. The location is very convenient to all the Asheville area sights.
- 5/5
Not thing fancy just. A good roomm and friendly staff — a price performer
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Room was noisy and overall a disappointing motel.
- 4/5
The room was very nice and clean. The pool was cold though.
- 4/5
Clean rooms and very nice staff
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff friendly, breakfast had many choices, and air conditioning worked great. The tub in bathroom was slippery— had to be very careful. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Conveniently located. Very clean and comfortable room.
- 5/5
The staff were as good as a private club or upper-end hotel. Personable, knowledgable, customer centric.
- 4/5
Room was semi clean but there was trash and very dirty at the wall behind door could tell they just clean with door open and they can’t see it there. Pool was not heated and extremely cold.
- 3/5
For the price, this was not a place I'd stay again. The man at the front desk was helpful and efficient, and the rooms were sufficiently clean, so kudos to the staff, but I assumed by the pics it was just a better quality hotel. Our A/C worked well until the middle of the night, when it got hot in the room.
- 4/5
Conveniently located. It looked like it had been some other brand of hotel that they just changed over to this one. The breakfast choices were just OK. Only had one elevator, which guests have to share with the cleaning people, causing the poor cleaning people to have to wait for an elevator.
- 3/5
The room wasn't very clean; the beds and chair smelled of dog. The room smelled damp. The bedspreads looked very old. The hotel description doesn't mention that children are not welcome, but we sensed it.
- 5/5
The beds were so comfortable omg we loved them. The place is very clean and friendly staff. When back in the area I will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Regulating the room temperature was excellent. Very nice shower with plenty of bathroom space. Extra towels and washcloths. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a variety of cereals with eggs and sausage. The regular caffeine coffee was very good plus offered creamer and sugar.
- 5/5
It had a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom.
- 4/5
Clean and people were kind.
- 5/5
Clean room, i love the way they received us. I loved the breakfast to..
- 5/5
Housekeeping was fabulous and so was the front desk staff. Rooms were nice and comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Room was clean, air conditioner worked, and the breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
Clean room, somewhat updated. Bed was awful. Breakfast was pretty good.
- 2/5
Not good overall
- 5/5
Everything here was wonderful!
- 5/5
Great hotel just off the highway, convenient to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. Rooms were clean and update, great spot.
- 5/5
This was a nice place. Friendly staff, clean, cute rooms and a decent continental breakfast. It was less than 2 miles from the Biltmore which is why I stayed there. Would stay there in the future.
- 4/5
The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were very clean, only criticism is the rooms are not sound proof..you can hear ur next door neighbors.
- 3/5
Although it seems they have made upgrades, the hotel is definitely dated. The room itself was clean but the ac was definitely regulated by the staff. 70 was stuffy throughout the night, yet cooler at times during the late evening. It was not consistent. The water/shower was nice and hot.
- 4/5
conveniently located, clean rooms, breakfast, AC. too bad he did not get VIP treatment.
- 4/5
Good stay for what we needed. In the middle of all attractions close to the blue ridge parkway. Needs some updates but we didn’t mind. Rooms were pretty clean staff was friendly.
- 3/5
We were put in a room near the ice machine and the man at the desk said that was turned off at 10:00 PM. After 10:00 we heard people getting ice. Room was also near the laundry room. I had asked him if the room was a quiet one when we checked in.
- 4/5
Clean and quiet, just what we needed after a long drive.
- 3/5
The first room had a mildew smell so intense that we couldn't stay there. The second room was clean and didn't smell. The mattress should have been swapped out a year ago, as it was collapsing, but the room was clean. Hotel owners should be required to occasionally stay in their hotel rooms or have employees stay in the rooms. If they did this, rooms would never degrade like this.
- 4/5
clean room helpful staff
- 4/5
Was not as expected
- 5/5
the hotel is in a convenient location, has clean rooms that have been well maintained with very a friendly staff. The rooms were fairly quiet.
- 5/5
The staff was great!
- 2/5
Look elsewhere, especially if you want to be able to find food within walking distance.
- 3/5
Pull out bed was dirty so we were unable to use it. Located in an area with few amenities.
- 4/5
Very accommodating receptionists and clean facilities. The breakfast was okay.
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 5/5
CONVIENENT TO OUR STAY
- 5/5
Cozy place
- 5/5
It was a comfortable hotel room, close to everything we were wanting to see. Breakfast was good. The only complaint is that there is no guest laundry and they directed us to a nearby one where most of the machines weren’t functioning. Otherwise, a good value and pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Dwane was very accommodating for our needs. Super friendly staff.
- 2/5
the lights only half worked there was stains in the shower floor the staff was very short did not give information unless asked
- 5/5
Friendly and accommodating staff Dwayne checked us in and made staying a second night easy Spacious room
- 5/5
Nicely renovated and very coinvent location. Friendly staff and good breakfast.
- 5/5
We went to this hotel on our honeymoon. Everything was perfect except the bed. It would probably be great for others, but we both suffer from back pain and the bed was extremely soft. We will be coming back again!
- 1/5
The room was clean people were friendly. The walls were paper thin we heard the ice machine ALL night. There was an incident each night that was incredibly disturbing. The front desk employee had to get a ball bat out and run off a drunk female and 2 others. This went on for about 10 or 15 minutes. They should have called the police. I will not ever stay here again!!!!
- 3/5
Was ok. Nothing special.
- 5/5
Traveled for business and it was very convenient to the highway. Clean rooms and breakfast was good. Loved that coffee was available 24/7 in the lobby.
- 5/5
My boyfriend and me went for our one yr Anniversary and we had a great time. The staff was very nice and attentive.
- 5/5
We were very happy with our choice to stay here. There are so many hotels to choose from and never having been to Asheville before we went primarily on price and reviews and we were not disappointed. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Quiet and comfortable stay!
- 5/5
Clean room. Reasonable price.
- 5/5
The lady at the front desk was very friendly. A great introduction to a great stay
- 4/5
Hotel was great. Breakfast was good. Could have used normal size pillows for the bed.
- 4/5
Located in a central location off interstate 40 this facility can use some help in making itself more visible. While it is next to a busy noisy commuter street the building is hidden behind trees making difficult to see. There’s no signage directing guests to its entrance. The interior is clean and the front desk is staffed by attentive employees. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean. A minor beef was with the malfunctioning television which would switch from color to b&w every other second. Didn’t report it. Overall the Brookstone lodge didn’t disappoint as there were no lofty expectations. Has it earned my business for future visits to Asheville? Yes.
- 5/5
Good value
- 3/5
The bed. Was comfortable. Not too hard, not too soft. Just right. The room was very clean. However breakfast was just mediocre and the smell in the hotel is awful. It has an indoor pool so the chlorine smell overpowers everything in the hotel. That has to be the strongest smelling pool I’ve ever seen. If my room is above the 2nd floor, I would stay here again. Not the first floor though, the chemicals are rough
- 5/5
Clean rooms. 2 chairs comfortable beds. Pool towels available, lots of outlets and phone connections. Barn door on bath saved space. Very large screen tv. Spotty WiFi at first but later it was better. Great place and reasonably priced
- 5/5
Close to Biltmore
- 4/5
Very small parking. But over all, quiet til cops and ambulance.
- 3/5
The hotel was safe and the staff was helpful when I had questions. The hotel room smelled of mildew/urine which I think came from the AC unit. We didn’t mention it to the staff since my partner couldn’t smell it, maybe it was just me. We ended up getting a glade plug in and that helped.
- 5/5
Friendly, clean and convenient location
- 4/5
Super friendly staff at the desk. The only thing I would recommend changing is having coffee available around the clock because breakfast is not until 630 and business travelers would appreciate that I am sure or have earlier breakfast options. But overall very nice for the price.
- 3/5
Over-priced for what it offers. 1st floor rooms next to pool are undesirable due extreme noise from the pool area and the hallway. No on site restaurant modest self-serve breakfast is available starting at 7am. No door man or assistance with luggage. The staff efficient, polite and pleasant. Rooms are clean and are sized similar lower cost hotels.
- 3/5
The one thing I didn’t like was: I told the front staff that we need to leave very early in the morning and if we could get any bagged breakfast. The person told us “almost no”. He didn’t try or say anything assuring.
- 4/5
Looks like hotel has bern remodeled. Very clean but parking space is limited. We were assigned a room that was adjacent to the ice machine and it got very loud at night and early morning. Very clean, breakfast was ok. Great deal for price
- 3/5
Hotel was ok, nothing special. Pillows were small little squares and not comfortable, breakfast had a very small selection, parking lot was tiny. Room and bathroom cleanliness were alright, nothing to complain about. Decent for the price but not sure if I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Hotel was exactly as expected and what we needed.
- 4/5
Nice, clean property. Good location.
- 5/5
Clean rooms.
- 4/5
The staff were all very friendly! The hotel was clean and the pool was great. For us, our room was on the back side of the hotel and there was a lot of road noise. Since we paid to have the ungraded room it would have been nice to have been closer to the front and not have all the noise.
- 4/5
Nice place, small property. Very convenient to Biltmore village and the Biltmore Estate. A couple maintenance issues were handled quickly. The place has a fun funky vibe.
- 5/5
The room was very nice, and very quiet. It came with a Giant TV and very near the Biltmore. The neighborhood felt kind of iffy, but all in all it was great.
- 4/5
Very nice and friendly staff
- 4/5
Room was comfortable. Front desk at check in was friendly and welcoming.
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
This property was great the last time we visited in 2024 but this time around it didn’t meet previous expectations. Staff was somewhat helpful but didn’t really help with any of the problems we had. Our room had a ton of problems but that could just be that one room. Food options are always great.
- 4/5
Outside of the parking situation the everything else was great.
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and staff friendly. The bed is a little soft for my taste but that is a personal thing. I love all the access points for plugging in phones, headphones, etc
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The pool was open and easily accessible, with towels available. It was 3 ft in shallow end and 5ft deep with stairs to enter. The free breakfast was convenient and had a variety of options. My 4 year old loved the cereal dispensers and making waffles every day. It was in close driving distance to many local restaurants and shops. Checking in and out was easy.
- 1/5
Parking was horrible a little noisy shower wasn’t very good
- 4/5
Nice room, comfortable beds.
- 4/5
The WiFi isn’t good at all and we tried to call and inquire about it and the man at the front desk said “it’s just like that”. The bed has deep indents and isn’t comfortable. The breakfast one morning didn’t have any type of meat. It is in a great location, pretty clean overall even though you can tell it’s older, and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Property was nice, clean, and spacious. Fitness room was small tho. Consisted of a single treadmill and elliptical. Overall, a nice stay
- 5/5
Breakfast was standard, waffles, eggs , sausage etc Close to the Biltmore Mansion if you choose to visit
- 5/5
This is probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was exceptionally clean and I think salt water rather than primarily chemical. Breakfast was adequate with a choice of foods, both cold and hot.
- 5/5
Check in was easy and the front desk agents were nice and helpful! The room was clean with a comfy bed and soft sheets. There were plenty of bath towels for a two night stay. We’ll be back when visiting Asheville!
- 5/5
Wonderful experience. Front desk (Chris) very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Very nice gentleman at check in
- 3/5
Room above us was loud and kept us awake both nights. Ice machine has glue loosely pulled apart trying to keep the face on. Nasty. Pool was clean.
- 1/5
Nice room design. Problem you can see a lot of young people around smoking pot feel like your car is not safe to park in the area.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean room. Only complain was that they did not give us enough soap or shampoo. Easy fix. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
We came up to Asheville with the family. We stayed in the larger suites as we had 5 people in the rooms. There was plenty of bed space and room.
- 4/5
Very nice
- 5/5
The room was well maintained, quiet and very clean. Nice decor. All amenities I look for were present (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, adequate free parking.) Breakfast was varied and bountiful.
- 2/5
I went to lie down cause I booked the stsy since I live in a cabin in Franklin nc. I did check in early. Then I told my husband my stomach was hurting. I started smelling a smell in the hallways and the room. My husband and I had a business trip there for his health not far from the hotel at a doctor office. My husband took the key to the girl at the check in desk. She told him if we hadn’t slept in the bed she could refund us. My husband never asked her for a refund so I went o her and told her I heard what she said and ( most certainly do not sleep with the same sex). I told her “I wasn’t interested!” I don’t need to know why water is dripping from the ceilings. Cause I will never give them my concern. Hotel is a 0 as per me writing this it is not ready to be opened. It needs a thorough check.
- 1/5
Dirty sheets! Yuck. Bath tub wouldn’t drain. Floors were sticky. Overall not impressed.
- 3/5
Only 3 handicap parking slots; not enough parking for guests on same level as hotel; additional parking as it is, is located at the adjoining property, at a steep incline difficult to deal with if you are handicapped.
- 1/5
Carbon monoxide detected in the room and staff not helpful regarding situation at all. Rooms had no airflow and very stuffy!
- 4/5
Second time staying at the property, only two issues I have is the ac in the room is never really that cold and the breakfast is ok at best. Both times I have stayed the ac units appear to be struggling and older, and the breakfast is very continental (it does the job but it’s lacking compared to other hotels in the area) only two complaints I have. Everything is always great besides those two things and honestly not even a deal breaker for me.
- 4/5
Bad was that no carpeting at this property,so we heard people aboves, every step!!!!
- 5/5
It's very close to all of the cool stuff in Asheville.
- 2/5
I understand that Ascend is a better level of hotel for the Choice brand. That is not the case here
- 4/5
Very quiet and clean.
- 4/5
Overall cleanliness was not great
- 3/5
Good location. Guest above us were stomping on the floor most of the night. The night staff did get them to quiet down when we called the second night.
- 5/5
Great hotel near all you need in Asheville. Staff is super friendly.
- 4/5
Close to airport, convience
- 4/5
Very clean, comfortable, modern room. Good selection of breakfast buffet. Only issue bathtub drained very slow due to blockage.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here a couple times now and I Love this place. Everyone is nice and accommodating, rooms are very clean and nice, the bed is so soft and comfortable I literally slept 10 hours straight and didn’t move. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve done that. The price is a bonus.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and friendly. The place was really clean. I didn’t have any issues. Would stay there again
- 5/5
Updated and clean
- 3/5
Nice place
- 4/5
Very pleasant environment. Staff is polite and attentive.
- 5/5
Nice facility with friendly staff
- 5/5
I didnt get her name, but the girl at the desk was so pleasant, helpful & kind. Pool worked out perfect for my grandson & the choices at breakfast were spot on!
- 2/5
Don't let the pictures deceive you. The property is small, hallways are dirty, property only has one small indoor pool despite listing both and indoor and outdoor pool, and the property reels of marijuana.
- 5/5
I like it
- 2/5
The cleanliness of the room was also concerning. There were dried brown stains on the bathroom floor behind the toilet, which made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. Parking was chaotic in the evenings, with no clearly communicated system in place once the lot filled up. The biggest letdown was the breakfast. Aside from the waffles, there was little that was edible, and the coffee was particularly bad. On a positive note, we did feel completely safe throughout our trip, which we appreciated. I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
Elevator broke. Breakfast was low quality. Interior felt dated. Location good.
- 5/5
The sþaff were great, so was the breakfast
- 3/5
Love the short drive to the Biltmore, but it's a budget stay, no frills of any kind and super thin walls. Not coming back if we can help it.
- 5/5
The desk agent was friendly and answered all questions with grace. I felt like a special guest.
- 5/5
Our stay was wonderful. This hotel was clean and the staff was super friendly.
- 5/5
We will be coming back to stay there again
- 5/5
Good location and friendly service.
- 5/5
Nice breakfast.
