This hotel was really nice it was a home away from home. I would definitely stay again! Nice Restaurant's and stores in walking distance.

Noisy at 4:30am but otherwise nice stay and left before breakfast so never got to enjoy that

The staff was fantastic from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. We were provided a cot to accommodate our family of 5 in one room. It was spacious and the kitchen was a huge plus. We were close to metro and restaurants. 10/10. We will be back!

Everything but the rock I slept on. The bed was EXTRA firm but a great stay nonetheless. Don't let that bum you out. STILL BOOK IT! Pool and Hot Tub closes at 9pm

This was probably the cleanest well kept hotel I have ever stayed in. The location had several restaurants within walking distance. The location was perfect for the needs of my stay.

Excellent location in downtown Arlington close to cafes and restaurants. We were happy that we found street parking in front of the hotel for overnight, so we didn't have to pay until 8am. There is also a nice park and playground walking distance- a bonus for families with kids.

This property is a hidden gem. Spacious room (we had a full fridge, toaster, etc.). Comfortable king bed. Right in the middle of great shops and restaurants.

Great rooms-have to fiddle with the AC but when it goes, it is cool! Pool is awesome, convenient parking, and literally a block walk to the Court House Metro stop. Lovely restaurants, deli, and coffee shops to enjoy as well as Saturday Arlington farmer's market to support. Safe area away from the hustle of DC so nice to return to after a long and hot day of sight-seeing!

Convenient to the Metro and a good breakfast. The staff was extremely nice!

The Metro is also on the same block. We used the subway to get everywhere in DC on multi day passes. There is no need to drive once you arrive!

The friendly staff were so willing and able to help out with our needs. They all had a great attitude. The place was very clean and impeccable, and the location was in the heart of Arlington. I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to anyone coming to Arlington or DC.

It was my yearly trip to DC for business, and I keep on coming back to the Residence Inn by Marriott. The check in was quick, the room was clean, and the location was superb! The parking is always an issue, but I'll gladly pay $35 for easy of access.

Something that will become important and a great selling point.

Not what I'd hoped for. Dirty and over chlorinated pool.

Conveniently located in Arlington, hotel has its own parking garage under the building with in/out privileges (fee). Full size refrigerator and microwave in room. Very comfortable beds. Split bath. Free buffet style breakfast included. Fire Works Pizza is right next door. Good food. (ask the front desk for coupon!) Indoor pool and hot tub are wonderful, with a lifeguard on duty. Didn’t use the gym, but it looked adequate for a hotel. Helpful staff. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Easy to check in, nice facility, great breakfast, nice staff. Very cute shopping center just outside, and easily accessible walking distance to a lot of stores and restaurants. It would have been $35 a night for parking but the guy in front of me got the last spot. So I parked outside for 1.25/hr for 2 hours until 8pm then parking was free until 8 am then we had to put a few bucks in again. So, kind of a weird parking situation there. About 15 mins to the Kennedy center so nice to be close to DC without being in DC.

Great place to stay! This is my second time staying here in the last 30 days and both times they’ve be very accommodating by having my room ready and able to get an early check in both times. Beds are very comfortable. Staff was friendly and professional. Perfectly located for transportation, metro station just a few a couple of minutes away. Starbucks is a 2 minute walk. Many places to choose from for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Shopping mall just a couple of blocks away. Whole Foods just over a block away. Yes I will definitely stay again. Location is great!

We had an amazing time. We were able to have back-to-back days in the spa tub, which is so relaxing. The breakfast is great, and the hotel is near plenty of restaurants. We were here for a concert at the Birchmere, and the hotel is a 15 minute car ride to there and back. We’d definitely suggest The Residence Inn by Marriott

The front desk and other staff were just lovely, very sweet and accommodating, whether we had questions about the area or needed an extra blanket. The suite we had was very nice, I loved the buffet breakfast, and being in the center of courthouse area meant we could walk everywhere, take metro and get tons of steps! We were 1 block away from a Whole Foods, so having a kitchen en suite really helped us stick to healthy options.

This was our anniversary weekend, and this hotel fell right into our laps. The hotel is centrally situated in its own little area, with shops within a walking distance of our hotel. Room service was wonderful, and so was the front desk. We will definitely be back.

Love this Property

I booked thru Expedia a one bedroom suite. When I got there I placed in a studio. The lady at the desk didn't offer me another room. She was rude. Her mannerism was terrible. I would never patronize that Residence Inn ever. Ballston Residence Inn is the best and that will be my next stay.

My daughter just moved apartments from the Plaza where this Marriott is. I’m really sorry I didn’t stay here before. Even though she moved 1.5 miles away, I will definitely come back to stay here when I visit. The room is great, and everything you might need is in walking distance.

The studio style room is really comfortable and convenient. We spent most of our stay relaxing in the room and bringing in takeout, which was exactly what we wanted and we had plenty of space for two people to spread out. There are many excellent dining options within easy walking distance, and since the room is equipped with dishes, a couch, and a little kitchen table, we weren't stuck eating in bed or at the desk. The complimentary breakfast is real hot food, and hearty: scrambled eggs with a few nice sauces and fresh green onions available for topping them; sausage patties and french toast sticks one day, links and pancakes the next. Very basic stuff but definitely more options than a "continental" breakfast and nothing was dry or overcooked, even though we didn't come down until breakfast was almost over. Good enough for us and definitely good enough for the average family trying to stay on budget. We also appreciated the ability to crack the windows in the room for a little fresh air. One suggestion I have would be a longer shower curtain or liner. The curved shower curtain rod is nice because it creates a bit more headroom, but the bottom of the liner kept slipping out of the tub and channeling water onto the floor, which I didn't notice until after a sizeable puddle had formed for me to clean up. Otherwise this turned out to be a good choice in a busy neighborhood.

It's not a bad place. Check-in person was a little curt and after a long day of traveling it added a bitter taste to the initial experience. Biggest frustration: renovations we didn't know about. Renovations are understandable, but more than one-day's notice (when we couldn't change the booking any longer) would have been appreciated. There was one front-desk attendant who was awesome, though. He was the day attendant during the week, and was super helpful in moving our room to avoid construction noise.

Love that you can stay in a clean hotel with friendly staff good breakfast choices and good location. Like having a suite and be able to self cater if you want

Refused to accommodate an error in the on-line booking reservation that had the wrong date. Expedia blames the inflexibility on the hotel. Ended up paying for a room we never used. What's this about technology making life easier? Won't ever book here again. 😕

Great place right by the Metro

My wife and I really enjoyed the choices for the complimentary breakfast. It was one of the best we have had in a long time.

Staff was attentive. The room was clean. The area around the hotel has tons of restaurants and bars and you have transportation into DC very close by.

The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast items are fresh and well prepared; the variety could be a bit broader. The room was well designed. the door to the cabinet broke off when we tried to open it and it was obviously glued from a prior break. The beads looked great but both my husband and I didn't rest well. The dishwasher was full of water but it did seem to function when we ran it again. The tap water smells and tastes moldy when brushing teeth. Several family members enjoyed the hot tub. The door latches of various kinds weren't functioning smoothly and the engineer who came seemed satisfied that they worked sometimes. The staff everywhere was cheerful and friendly.

Everything was perfect down to the location to service the cleanliness super close to restaurants for dinner or brunch. Every type of restaurant you can think of parking on site just absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to come back to this exact location.

King suite was very nice. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. Staff was very helpful and there were alot of options for free breakfast. Also the location was very nice, you can walk to many restaurants and stores. I didnt like that the pool/hot tub closed pretty early even for adults, we had to leave by 9 so we didnt get to use it very much

Check in was fast and pleasant, I was given the room location I wanted, altogether very nice.
