Hilton Arlington

One of us had an emergency at home so we had to leave one day early. This was told the morning before, but no partial refund was possible because this reservation was booked on Expedia. The clerk said he would ask his manager later if I could get some reimbursement since we did not use the two rooms the last night (of 5 nights), but I knew that would come to nothing, so I did not bother to follow up. The lobby is a maize trying to find your way around.

Very nice, modern, clean room in a very good location. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area, and nearby Metro Station will take you all over Washington DC area.

Location is superb - right around the corner from a great German Bierhall, and across the street from a busy IHOP for brekkies - it was really enjoyable and accessible for our needs.

One thing I did not like about as I’m pretty sure they told me Parking included. I ended up paying $54 for two nights for a parking garage everything else but that was OK.

I stayed in room 411. There are no towel hangers in the bathroom. The caulking in the shower area is peeling or moulding in some areas. The bathroom vanity counter top is not level, water pools and travels to the left side and wets anything you keep there. The room is great; the carpet feels a bit dirty and soapy (probably has soap residue from being washed at some point in time. The room felt a bit dim even after all lights were turned on.

The property is somewhat dated, not very modern, but it’s a perfectly nice and fine place and the staff are very very friendly and helpful. Location is near a cute area with nice shops and restaurants.

Pretty basic in terms of hotels. Nice accomodations. Good location to walk to restaurants. The front desk staff was amazing though! Super helpful. Eric handled every request we had promptly and thoroughly.

Another great amenity was - breakfast restaurant. Breakfast had pretty good selection of different menu items, everything very fresh and consistently added up by stuff well before particular item was to run out. But the most amazing part of breakfast were two amazing servers - Saha and Zee (spelling of their names might be slightly incorrect). With them I felt like if I were at home. They very very accommodating, compassionate and kind to us. So, I hope they will still be there as they are the major reason now (outside of good hotel location and parking) to come back there!

Front desk said they would send an engineer to fix the phone. They never did. Got charged 85 cents for a local call too. Room was clean and ok. Standing shower only, no tub. Bed comfortable. HVAC a bit noisy; setting it to automatic helped with that. Fridge was in the TV cabinet, a non obvious location. So non-obvious we only found it because hotel left a slip of paper by the tv to notify the guests, which we noticed on the morning after we checked in. So overall, a decent stay. Good location on top of the Ballston Metro stop, but not amazingly good.

The best part is the convenience, the metro station is right there, so there’s no need to cross the street.

From check in to check out the staff was friendly. I appreciated the free coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning. Overall, I found the property to be pretty clean and well maintained (appreciated the decor in the lobby). There is a restaurant on site (we didn’t eat there) and restaurants nearby. Also super close to the metro and some street parking. The overnight parking is reasonably priced ($24 a night), garage is super tight!

I would rate it better but front desk staff, Angie, was rude when I arrived. Saw her the following day and she was rude again when I inquired about breakfast.

I saw a mouse run along the back wall of the hotel restaurant! Yikes. It was awful. The incident happened on 11/29/25.

We checked in and told the front desk that we have a car. He said that we would just need to scan our keycard to enter the parking garage. Well it did not work! We only really stayed in the hotel from 6pm to 7am. When we showered in the morning, as I was about to use the towel, there was a big stain. I pulled another towel and it was there was a stain too. We brought it to the front desk attention and she said, OH! We were instructed to use our keycard to exit the garage. When we left the parking garage. Our keycard did not work again. Somebody had to come and open the gate for us, while other customers wait behind us u till a staff member comes down.

Room was clean enough but old and the whole hotel needs a major renovation. The shower head and water pressure were absolutely terrible. Fine for one night due great location.

Well maintained and clean. Bathroom was clean as well, We stayed 2 nights to visit Washington DC, access to the national mall was great. Also, there is a big and nice shopping mall with many restaurants and food courts which is connected to the hotel (there is a door to the mall) that you and your family can visit and have lunch or dinner together. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel charged me $22 for parking, however, the room card did not work at the gate and I have to pay parking again with my credit card.

It was a great stay! Restaurant staff was excellent for our togo meal. Check in and check out staff was excellent as well. Only real issue was the missing part on the shower chair which as a newly disabled person I couldn't use, which means i had to stand in the slippery shower. All was well though. Grateful the Metro stop was right there as well.

The bed was soo comfortable. I wish the hotel did have a pool, and the remote on the tv stopped working. The service was amazing and they made sure our room was cleaned and organized.

I was really happy with the customer service! The main issue with this property is it is just simply very dated, and I would hazard to guess most of the rooms need some maintenance in some capacity (given that the room we first got placed into has a completely broken shower bracket (the shower head is only hand held and MUST be propped up in the bracket, otherwise the water just shoots whatever direction from where it hangs if the bracket is broken --which it was). I am pretty certain the rooms were last renovated in the mid 00s. The only other issue is the guest in the room that connects via the double set of doors between rooms coughed in the middle of the night, and we woke up scared because we thought there was someone in the room with us... after he started snoring, we realized the sound proofing between the rooms felt nearly non-existent. I would probably only stay here again if I could guarantee we get a room away from the elevator bank, and the price was competitive or better than the Westin around the corner.

Location of my room was really loud-- doors slamming at all hours of the day and night, banging in the room above me, housekeeping yelling and knocking on rooms at 8am... Wasn't great

Great place to stay for a night or so.

Only negative was that we checked in and received a joining room. The moment we walked in we had a baby crying very loudly and felt like s/he was in our room. The joining door was paper thin. Thankfully they had one room left to move us to. Otherwise it would have been a horrible nights sleep for me as a light sleeper. Will stay again!

The staff were very friendly especially the breakfast team. The night before i had tried to go to dinner in the restaurant but couldn't find a host, server, of bartender. I ended up calling room service & the person I left order with as well as who delivered were great. Room very comfortable & area very walkable.

Ps…the room’s coffee brand was the worst coffee I’ve ever had. If you haven’t have coffee to function, get familiar with the local coffee places. DD is super close by.

Later that evening, I went down to the restaurant for something simple—a slice of cake and a glass of wine. Only one woman was managing all the tables. I understood she was working alone, so I was patient as she took my order, especially since she assured me it wouldn’t take long. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting 20 to 30 minutes. She opened the bottle of wine but was then called to the back, leaving the bottle open and unattended. She continued to serve several other guests while my wine remained untouched. At that point, I’d had enough and left without being served. To add to the frustration, the beds in the room were much smaller than expected—I had paid for queen beds, but they felt significantly smaller. I even hit my elbow on the lamp table while turning over. Finally, during checkout, the woman at the front desk was extremely dry and dismissive, as if I were asking for a complimentary stay. I left genuinely disappointed. This marks the second time in the past two months I’ve had such a poor experience with Hilton. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere going forward.

Superb location! Right next to the metro station. Room was clean, updated shower was great. The only slight discomfort was the heating. It was so warm that we had to switch it to cool mode. But will definitely stay here again.

I traveled from Maryland to Virginia for work and needed a dog-friendly hotel nearby. My husband and I found several restaurants, including my favorite, Yume, just 10 minutes away. There was a nearby square for dog relief, but my dog struggled, so we drove to a lovely dog park seven minutes away where she could play and relieve herself. The hotel staff were wonderful and helped me locate my lost items. We can't wait to return.

We stayed 2 nights. Hilton was outstanding; clean, friendly staff, large room. It's located in the heart of tons of restaurants and shopping so easy to walk to. It's also located above the Ballston metro station so it was super easy to get in and out of downtown DC. Definitely will stay again!

The location was perfect; you could hop on and off the metro to go into DC from right outside the front door. Staff was very friendly and housekeeping did a great job. Only complaint is the pillows they have here were not very comfortable at all due to being so thin. Bring your own pillow and you're good. Also, there is not continental breakfast offered here, but there are a variety of breakfast choices just steps outside. Overall, very nice stay and would come back again.
