Place too small, no real place to have breakfast, they just give you cereal and apples on a table setup by the front desk. Showers too small, door won't close shut.

Everything was fine but the breakfast was minimal and no adequate breakfast room. It was surprising. Maybe you are supposed to take breakfast to your room.

Just FYI it’s a 2-story building and there’s no elevator. Breakfast is very basic and is staged in lobby area…cereal & milk, bagels sealed in plastic, sealed plastic juices, and apples or bananas. Couldn’t find the coffee. Would be nice if there was a microwave avail, either at bfast or in room. But very impressed that all furnishings were in excellent condition.

One issue I had was that I was called back home and I needed one night refunded. Apparently upon booking (and I paid for the entire trip early) I had click on the no-changes-to-booking option. At the desk I was told there is no penalty if one checks out early, but hell with you if you have booked and paid ahead of time. The manager would't budge. This is not my first rodeo and I am always understanding of circumstances, and I do not complain. But this time around, there were just way too many things that did not add up the cost of that room, and at the end, I think the refund for that last night was more than deserved.

The room appeared to be clean and beds well made. But a smell was present, not sure if it was from the carpet or the building itself, it smelled like a basement. Less than half way through the stay, I hear a rodent behind the mini fridge at night. I bring it up to the managers attention in the morning and decided to check out early and cancel the rest of my trip. The lady manager apologized sincerely and assured me it will be addressed and a refund for the remaining days that I paid for and didn't stay. No refund, no calls answered. Then routed to a customer service number that keeps transferring to a checking/booking agent but no customer service or management. Over a week later still no refund and still can't get to a live person to talk to on the phone.

Staff is vey friendly and helpful, check in was quick and painless. If we ever go back to DC would we stay here? YES !!!!

I think for a twostar facility it was pretty good. It is great for a budget traveler. We stayed 6 nights. It was clean and the staff is very friendly. The room that we got was not ideal it was in the basement floor and the room was kind of dark. The matress was not that comfortable. Still I think it is a good deal for staying more that a couple of days.

The breakfast was just a table in the lobby no place to sit and eat either stand in the lobby or carry it back upstairs to your room to eat. Our room had a weird odor to it and we had to turn The AC unit much lower than normal to even feel cool in the room. The water in the tub drips constantly and if you didn't pull the room door closed hard it didnt latch and lock.

I had a terrible experience at the Econo Lodge Metro in Arlington due to the front desk person’s awful behaviour. The person working the desk was incredibly rude, hostile, and treated us with zero respect when we were checking out and requested him to do our lunch in dining area. First he allowed to us then he did very rude behaviour and asked us to leave immediately in very loud voice. Motel should provide basic human decency. Save your money and stay somewhere else where the staff actually knows how to treat paying customers.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Free parking, walking distance to the Metro to get into DC, free breakfast offerings. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great option for a lower budget price range. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The Econo Lodge offers reasonable rates, and the accommodations were adequate for the price. However, the walls appeared dirty, and there was an unpleasant odor throughout the property. Improving cleanliness and using air freshening measures would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

We booked two double beds and when we arrived all they had was a king bed. It was so late and we were exhausted we just settled. Breakfast was horrible and the hotel was very outdated. Not at all like the pics

Sink is separate from shower/toilet which is always super convenient! It was nice to have some included Breakfast but it was quite minimal, singly packaged bagels with butter, some basic cereals, milk, and some fruits.

This was not as described online. It’s not too close to anything, as a single female I didn’t feel safe walking at night. There are really no amenities, not even vending machines to get a drink from.

They ran out of bananas very early for the breakfast. The breakfast room is the front lobby which is not very convenient. The bathroom door in our room was swollen and could not close. But the room was clean and the water was hot. It is a 10-minute walk to the nearest Metro station.

A couple examples. We arrived a night early thinking we could add a night to the front of our trip, but they were booked full. I was having some issues with my phone, so the young man at the counter - he helped us find an affordable alternative for the night. He provided advice on where to stay and where to avoid. His recommendation was a good one. When my husband’s glasses broke, the gentleman at the desk helped us find a place close by to get an emergency repair. They helped us understand the metro. We had so many questions, and each time they were extremely polite and helpful. We stayed for 8 days and I can’t think any other place would have been the right combination of convenient, affordable, and clean to fit our needs. We would stay here again.

Picture of Lobby is apparently old because there is a wall wall when you walk in. There is now NO dining area and Breakfast consists of a small table in the lobby with cereal and cold items. Don't count on a nice breakfast or somewhere to eat it. Staff was very friendly and helpful and there was a very nice comfy CHAIR and OTTOMAN in the room that was a great substitute for sleeping in a recliner!!

I stayed here when a flight at Dulles got bumped overnight and I needed a place to crash. It's a short walk through a quiet neighborhood from the nearest metro station. The room was quiet, clean, and reasonably comfortable, and it was reasonably priced.

I did not have a car with me. The metro station was farther than I thought it would be but was fine during the day. I wouldn’t recommend walking back alone as a female. I took a Lyft car, which is fine, but I spent more money than I thought I would. But overall this is a very nice place, very clean. I would definitely recommend it. The staff were also very nice.

One thing i was confused about was how it stated in the check in that there would be a microwave in the room and when we got there … we only had a refrigerator? I just had an unpleasant experience with my daughter while on a college campus trip in DC. The breakfast is served on a small table at the entrance of the reception area. There are just 2 seats to eat. The only options are ultra-processed food loaded with carbohydrates — cereal, apple and banana, small bagels in a plastic bag, and a small pot of juice. There is one gallon of animal milk and no other source of protein. On the first day, when I expressed my surprise upon discovering the breakfast options, the receptionist just laughed at me. That was unprofessional. During my 2-day trip, I could only drink coffee and had to purchase breakfast outside because I have an intolerance to lactose and high-fructose fruits. I don't recommend this place if you are looking for a hotel close to DC that includes breakfast.

The manager and staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The place isn't fancy, but it is everything I needed for a work trip. It was clean, the coffee and breakfast were good, the room had a microwave, refrigerator, iron, etc., the metro stop was less than a 10 minute walk through a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. There were nearby restaurants that were fantastic. I felt safe walking around as a solo traveler. I used the free computer and printer to print some documents I needed, and I also used the laundry facilities.

I stayed at this hotel several times for free onsite parking and walk to Metro. However, there is often no staff at the front desk that you have to wait with uncertainty.

We were staying there for spring break. It was very convenient for us to take the train to DC areas. It was not fancy but very decent and roomy with free parking. Two minutes walk to the train station. The staff were very friend and helpful. Not to far of a ride to get food around the areas

Stayed in Room 202. Housekeeping never came to replace sheets. Had to call front desk for fresh linen. Overall, it was a nice stay except the no service. Comfy bed. A/C unit needs dusting. Felt safe. And good restaurants nearby. Highly recommend the Irish pub.

The value was the winner here. Good location right next to a walking path and a few restaurants within walking distance. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Considering the affordability of the hotel, costs has to be cut somewhere for it to be affordable. Breakfast was not much and the hotel was a little outdated in general, however, those are two things which I am fine with to cut the costs a bit. Overall it was better than I expected - the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff elevated my rating. My only complaint was that I could hear everything going on in my neighbor's room.

While the hotel is clean, well maintained and reasonably priced, the continental breakfast is a joke. It consists of an overripe banana, a kids fruit cup and a piece of bread which they hand to you from behind the front desk. If you stay here you should budget for eating breakfast at a restaurant.

I just wished you locate your room from the back exit door for convenience of unpacking from your vehicle and not having to walk all the way back to the front entrance. The heat was not working too well this particular night. Our suite was pretty chilly for the majority of the night stay.

The receptionist was a very polite and pleasant person. The price of this hotel was very attractive, but I deeply regret that I fell for it. Of all the hotels I’ve booked through Booking.com across dozens of countries worldwide, this was by far the worst. The location is extremely inconvenient. The hotel entrance and exit are directly at a busy intersection with constant traffic. There are no decent shops, gas stations, or restaurants nearby—everything is far away. Driving doesn’t help because there is no parking, so you either walk long distances or don’t go anywhere at all. There was a strong smell of marijuana throughout our floor, which was especially disturbing since I was traveling with my wife and our 4-year-old child. As soon as we entered the room, we were hit with an equally disgusting smell—something like chemicals, sewage, or a ventilation issue. We kept the windows open all day, but the room never aired out. Everything inside the room was in poor condition. The TV, despite being mounted on the wall, didn’t work. The Wi-Fi didn’t work on any of our devices and constantly showed errors. The refrigerator, microwave, and all the lamps were unplugged. At first, we thought nothing worked, but I eventually managed to connect everything—only after struggling to move heavy furniture that completely blocked all the outlets. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. The worst part was at night. For two nights in a row, we were unable to sleep due to constant loud voices, singing, music, banging, and other noises coming from two nearby rooms—one across the hall and one next door. The first night, we only fell asleep in the early morning out of sheer exhaustion after a 10-hour drive from Ohio. The second night was exactly the same. I contacted reception, but nothing changed. The people causing the noise appeared to be a gang, smoking marijuana everywhere and behaving like wild animals. We had booked the hotel for three nights, but at 4:30 a.m. during the second night, we packed our bags and left. I have never abandoned a hotel stay mid-booking before, but this situation left us no choice.

A good place to stay near the Metro. Bed was comfortable and shower was nice. A couple of nice cafe's within walking distance. There were small hairs on the walls by the sink where someone had trimmed their hair or beard. So while the sink was clean , the side walls and on the hairdryer plug had lots of small hairs.

I picked te Econo Lodge Metro in Arlington, Virginia because of its convenient location to the Stae Theater in Falls church for a New Year's Eve show. 10 minute walk/ 2 minute drive. Good deal for under $100. Room spotless and large, including decent size bathroom. Best shower I can remember in a hotel, with good pressure and hot water temp. 24 hour ready made coffee and tea in lobby. As a bonus, small breakfast snack. No complaints and total satisfaction. Great bang for te buck. Look forward to repeat stay for next year's New Year's Eve show or any other State Theater concerts before then.

We were there only one night but it was nice and confortable. The only problem we found is it has no elevator and my husband has back problems that makes it hard to go up stairs specially with luggage.

Washroom shower knob was not working properly as we noticed it’s very old technology. Most terrible thing was WI-Fi was not working since 5:40am till our check out on last day. When we called 3-4 times the lady was so rude and take the things normal but we have to check flight schedule, return rent car etc.

Vending machine had only Pepsi and Sprite, everything else was sold out, including water. Machine took a $5, dispensed one soda and kept the rest of the money. Front desk man came and helped and used his own card to get me another soda, which was super sweet. Room was fine, clean with all the basics but my boys stayed in the adjoining room didn’t have shampoo in the shower. Close to the Metro with a short 10 min walk through a residential neighborhood.

Great location for metro to DC. Clean, spacious room and terrific staff, but there’s a real need for maintenance. The toilet flushed very slowly and not always on the first try. The wifi kept dumping me off and not readily showing the screen that allowed me to log back in.

Very clean, sharply run hotel in great location a short walk from the Metro as well as myriad dining options and a recently opened Whole Foods supermarket. Would recommend to anyone!

Cleaning staff came in took dirty towels but did not make bed or clean room when we left the do not disturb sign off the door. The bed is well worn and slumps needs new mattress.

Check in and out was very good and quick. They mentioned breakfast included, it is not a full breakfast package, they provide an apple with small cheese and baggel. Coffee machine available 24 hrs and it is very convenient.

The only king bed rooms are up a full staircase. The breakfast is an apple, a slice of bread with cream cheese and apple juice, which is eaten on the lower level (down staircase) in a clean room with a few small tables and chairs. The mattress was on the too-firm side. This was less expensive than other hotels in the area. Parking was convenient and free, right next to the front door.

We just arrived today, but we were early, and they were so nice and accommodating. This place is so convenient to I66 and the Metro. It’s super clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but an excellent value.

I did not expect a lot; I booked for location near METRO, but it was much better than typical older property. Great staff and comfortable clean room. I will stay again.

We were drawn to this hotel because of its convenience to a Metro station for navigating the city and its economical price. The building is a bit dated but kept up quite nicely. The room was small, but adequate for our needs, and very clean. All staff members encountered were super nice and very helpful.

I'd never stay here more than a night again. This would only be a one night stay to rest on a road trip. Breakfast included is a joke. Its a bagel thats at least a day old in a brown papet bag. The rooms in the basement look like youte going into the start of a 70s horror film.

Stayed here for 3 days. Clean, efficient, and economical. Walking distance to many stores and the metro so very convenient as well. Will definitely stay again when back in the area

The check in staff has no patience to answer my questions. Toilet flush is not smoothly. Wifi is not good. Sink area is small. Overall property is ok. Room service is good. Daily clean and change towels. Close to metro, convenient transportation. Safe environment.

Parking was a bit rough, but the best possible, given the space. The sack breakfast was uninspired, and not what I was expecting from the listing, which boasted of its "free breakfast". Likewise, the coffee service had no milk or liquid creamer, and the cups provided were extremely small.

Property owners were warm and welcoming to me and my children and were even kind to allow them a late check out when I had to leave early. I recommend this location.

Quiet and convenient hotel. Nice and helpful staff, especially Parish and a young guy with big hair working in the afternoon and evening.

The hotel was clean & a short walk from the Metro Station, exactly what we wanted! A bonus was that it was in a quiet neighborhood with good restaurants nearby.

There are things that are not as advertised. There is no hot breakfast, only a brown lunch bag that they’d give out. Everyday is the same: pre-packaged bagel, cream cheese, small apple juice. There is no elevator so if you have a couple suitcases and stay at the second floor, my thoughts and prayers are for you.

We enjoyed the bag breakfast and the coffee area.

Overall was okay for the price, but there was no continental breakfast as stated, and the bed seemed to be in poor repair.

Price is affordable. Location is great! This is a simple clean lodge and very nice people at the front desk. An issue occurred and I needed maintenance. They fixed the problem immediately.

Staff was nice and friendly, check in and out easy. Hotel is very no frills. Small room. Breakfast is a refrigerator bagel, apple and orange juice handed to you in a bag.

I liked this hotel because it was with in walking distance to the Metro. They do not do breakfadt but there is a 7-11 nearby to walk to to get coffee and anything else you'd like. The hotel was clean and quiet and the staff was friendly. Beds were a bit stiff. I will stay here again if I come back to this area.

The water pressure was very low

A lot of reviews are negative about this property, but we honestly found nothing wrong with it. It was clean, quiet, beds could’ve been comfier but besides that it was perfect. It’s a 15 minute drive into dc from there, about 20-25 to National harbor. Would definitely stay here again. Just wished we had a later checkout LOL.

We have stayed here multiple times now. Although the property is a bit dated, it is always extremely clean and for the most quiet for his location. It looks like we’ve got quite a few bar and grills with excellent food within a mile order, too, and just a few blocks from the metro station. Friendly service and really reasonable pricing. About a 10 to 15 minute drive to downtown DC.

Very good value for money. Room we stayed in had a hot tub, which is very unusual for a 2* hotel so it gets an extra point for that. Man at front desk was friendly and they were quick to assist with any queries. Would stay again if I return to Washington.

Clean, well appointed rooms. Staff was stand offish and not helpful all around. Free parking was great. Bonus, they do seem to recycle.

Hotel was clean. Changed our sheets daily and got fresh towels each day. Stayed for a week while visiting D.C. The location was convenient to get on the Metro. Just a short walk. No frills hotel if you want to save a little money, it setved the purpose. I would stay here again.

The property and the room were clean and well-cared-for. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was weird - listing said "breakfast included" but what you get is a bag with a plastic-wrapped bagel and some apple juice. Sorry but this is not breakfast to me.

Walking distance to Metro (10 to 15 minutes) not as close as you think, room is decent condition, not enough staffs, breakfast bag, they only do your room in third day, Value: cheaper than others, that what you pay for.. If you need a place to stay, walking distance to metro and not expensive.

Very accessible to East Falls Church Metro. There’s a walk way path from the Metro to the Hotel. There’s a Metro Bus stop along Washington Bl/Sycamore St. to the train Stn. Very nice and quiet area👍

While the room was clean and quiet, and only about a 10 minute walk to the Metro Station, we had to lug our suitcases up a flight of stairs as there’s no elevator. They mention “breakfast pack” but didn’t see anything near the small coffee station. Location isn’t ideal if looking to dine nearby; restaurants that somewhat close have limited parking which sometimes require pay-to-park areas.

We used to have a full breakfast. During our recent stay, it was a wheat bagel, cream cheese, apple and apple juice in a paper bag-day after day. We were very disappointed.

The hotel had multiple issues. All the parking lot lights were not functioning. The refrigerator in our room did not work. We were told it works but "it doesn't get cold" by the front desk. The cable box did not work the first night. The maintenance man couldn't fix until the next day. No TV for the night.There are no elevators so plan on stairs.My wife has bad knees and stairs are tough. We wouldn't have booked if we knew that.There was an abandoned car in the parking lot next to our vehicle. The continental breakfast was a brown paper bag with an apple,bagel and juice. They kept these behind the front desk and you had to ask for one. We would recommend elsewhere if you have the choice. Would like our money back! We had to give them an additional $150 dollar room deposit in case someone smoked in the room. We were told it would take 5 to 7 days to get a credit on our card for this.

Old and no elevator poor service

Place was not pet friendly even though I had a service animal. When checking out of the hotel sitting in my car the guy came out and knocked l and accused me of smoking in the hotel room. Not sure where that came from we checked out in the morning and came out and we're smoking in the truck. Then he would not let us leave.
