The breakfast buffet is NOT worth it and the building appears dated and definitely needs an upgrade. Still fairly clean and the gym is nice. Wish there was a pool.

Our hotel room had a motel feel- for starters, the “standard” room does not come with the amenities advertised. We only chose the standard rooms to have two beds; the king room advertised the same amenities but I seemed to have had the short end of the stick. We’re lucky to have even had toilet paper. Bathrobes are not available (we asked) and I had to go to the front desk for towels bc they did not pick up the phone at front desk/guest services/room service. The tv was old and the remote barely worked (neither did the built in streaming apps). The limited access to tv is not favorable, especially when traveling with kids. For a two night stay, parking cost $98, which was also not disclosed upon booking. Overall, I found this property extremely overpriced & underwhelming. Having stayed in many different properties in recent years, this was by far my most disappointing stay. The staff was professional when we got to speak to them but they were hard to reach and unapologetic when we couldn’t reach them. While its location is in close proximity to DC’s museums, you’re better off staying somewhere else (there are many options). It simply was not worth it!

They gave our room away. No advanced notice. Just confirmation emails only to check in with.. I’m sorry we don’t have a room for you. Only King bed is left. I am a family and booked a double for 2 nights. I showed my 900 confirmations and all they would say is we’re overbooked again. Not to mention there were people just standing all over the lobby. They sent us to a Holiday Inn, which was so much better. In the end it worked out in our favor bc we were all kinda grossed out when we got to check in. Advice, DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

I was moved to another IHG property(Holiday Inn) for a water issue. It was as expected. Not great. The sink didn't drain and the toilet doesn't fill quickly. Mattress was not what I was hoping for...didn't get much sleep. The elevators were also getting worked on so waits for an elevator at times was over 5 min.

This hotel is the epitome of UNPROFESSIONAL! They canceled my booking for March 9th that I booked on JANUARY 8TH the day that I was scheduled to arrive claiming that all of the rooms had been sold out so they had to move me to their sister hotel the Holiday Inn! My question to them was how in the WORLD did you allow that to happen when I PAID FOR MY ROOM IN FULL ON JANUARY 8th!!!! If I wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn that’s where I would have made my reservation! And to top it all off I haven’t received any money back for being rebooked at a lower rated hotel!! Expedia, if this is how the Crown Plaza is treating your customers, then you really need to reevaluate your relationship with them because they are making you look bad! I want a refund!

The cost of parking was too high, $47. It costs less in DC to park in a regular garage all day. There was also only 1 working elevator which caused wait times to be well over 10 minutes.

Location; security (had to swipe room key to use elevator to rooms); quiet and clean; conveniently located to restaurants, metro station; CVS and Whole Foods. No microwave in room-friend booked same room type and had microwave; bed was too high, struggled to get into it.

I booked a King bed months in advance and when we arrived the hotel was fully booked and our room was given away. My wife and I had to get 2 smaller beds and couldn’t sleep together.

Such a great location for visiting DC! Great walkable area with access to the Metro. Clean hotel & very comfortable bed to rest our weary feet after a long day of exploring. The hotel itself may be just a smidge outdated, but they haven’t ignored the parts that really count like cleanliness & bed quality. The shuttle drivers to/from the airport were excellent, so friendly & VERY helpful! I also loved the neighborhood!

The best part of the trio the staff in the restaurant. We went down there the first day. The following days they all remembered our drink orders and were very attentive. Excellent staff and very friendly!

The mattress and pillows were so comfy. Much nicer that other more expensive hotels we’ve stayed at.

Prepaid for a King Room. Arrived at hotel and was given a handicapped accessible room. The room was dirty, smelled, cold, the thermostat on the wall didn’t work. Hotel staff member was rude. Stayed at another hotel. Do not recommend.

I also booked the room 4 months in advance and requested 2 queen beds for myself and my adult daughter. When we arrived we had a King and a pull out couch. The staff were very nice and gave us breakfasts for the wrong room, but neither of these things should have happened

Decent play to stay. Quiet and safe. Just over one block to the Crystal City metro stop. Eat dinner early or make plans in DC. Most bars/restaurants in the surrounding blocks close really early. We walked down Crystal Dr. around 9:30 on a Friday night and almost everything was closed including bars.

Convenience to Metro After I left, I realized I had left my electric toothbrush. I called lost and found several times but no one returned my call. Before my flight, I stopped by and a front desk guy actually retrieved it for me from the lost and found. I commend the housekeeper for turning it in but I was disappointed no one returned my calls over several days.

It would have been nice to have more sit down restaurants in the area, but we used the Metro often or Lift. We did eat in the restaurant a few times and it was very good. All the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast restaurant was only open till 10:30am so we only made it there once. Was way too expensive. Twenty two dollars for a buffet. No thanks. Evening restaurant opened at 4pm. Good food but again way over priced for the quanity and quality of food. If you do eat yhete, try the ribs yhey were great.

My flight arrived early. I was thrilled that the hotel allowed us to check in 4 hours early.

rooms feel small and cluttered, the bathroom is so small and with two people your body is just touching so much of the curtains and the door and the toilet and then the sink. pillows aren’t soft at all, super flat and the comforter was very thin. i loved the parking garage and the set up of that, very convenient and safe but beyond that, snack selection was lacking and amenities were lacking as well.

I arrived late morning and was able to check in early which gave me time to do some work in my room before heading to meetings in the afternoon.

I have stayed here around 5 times and it’s not bad .Happy with the service and location.

The only issue was that the elevators and hallways had a musty smell and were considerably warmer than the lobby. The room, however, had no smell which was more important. One of the elevators was closed for maintenance during our stay which resulted in longer wait times and crowded rides but I'm sure that's temporary.

Airport van driver also rude because he was stupid enough to not recognize the color of my luggage and got mad at me. Make it make sense. It is mediocre at best. The property is run down in a mediocre area of this crystal city place which I would never visit if it was not for a business trip. Places like these often can be more pleasant if staff were not so blatantly miserable with their jobs. I would not stay here again.

I wouldn't recommend this place when i got there

Nice and clean hotel, close to all necessities. Friendly staff. City itself is a bit too hipsterish for our taste, but if you're into craft beers, fancy cocktails/mocktails and fusion food this hotel is right in the center of it all. Darn near impossible to get a Corona and Espresso Martini in this area.

Very close to the airport and close to mall and so many restaurants

A perfectly acceptable hotel in a very safe, boring area, very close to the airport. Perfect for what it is, don’t go if you’re looking for a fun time.

Came back to find a fire had broken out...thank god it wasnt on our floor but it was floor just above us, but on opposite end of hall. I had my 10 year old grandson with me on our stay and he was very shaken up and was very scared throughout the night:(

The Crowne Plaza was an amazing place to stay. The shuttle to and from the airport was convenient! The shuttle comes and leaves every 30 minutes and the drivers were very respectful and friendly. The front desk staff were patient and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with all needed amenities. There are restaurants and stores in walking distance. I felt safe walking at night and in the hotel at night! Highly recommend this location! Will definitely book again!

Front desk is not accommodating, except for one man. Would not help resolve an issue especially that it was a miscommunication. It would help if they would review the agreement.

There was no a/c in the hallways and it was 100 degrees outside. The a/c in the room worked but from your room to the elevator nothing. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. There is a Starbucks on site and the bar/restaurant was good. We only stayed for 3 days so for that it was fine. I wouldn’t stay for longer than that.

Check in was very easy and staff were very friendly. Some of the amenities at the hotel were outdated, however, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay again.

Really enjoyed my stay here while spending time in DC for the first time! Perfect location to the Crystal City train station and close to plenty of food and a CVS!

The front desk kept having a problem with adjusting my parking, the hallways were unbelievably hot and humid, and the elevators were slow due to the fact that they’re supposed to be working, but there was only two and it’s a very busy hotel.

Restaurant food was average if you need a quick bite. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced.Driver to airport was late for the 4:30 AM shuttle and had to get an uber to the airport. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

The hotel needs updating. The A/C could not keep up and my room never got below 78 degree's despite turning it down to 70. The $44 for parking is very expensive. Good walkable location close to restaurants. It is my understanding they have a shuttle to Reagan Airport which I'm sure is convenient for those travelling.

Found one bed bug on the date of departure. Disappointed that courtesy bottle of water to make the coffee was not provided.

Enjoyed my stay here, staff were great! Didn’t get a chance to try out the breakfast buffet but the restaurant in the lobby was a great. Food was fresh.

The fridge was hidden behind what looked like cabinets. We missed it. The staff was courteous and respectful.

This hotel is very dated. No USB/C connections in the rooms. Very small bathrooms. The elevators are old & small as well. They have a bar/restaurant on the property and when we walked in was like going back to the 80s. Bar is very old. Oh, I almost forgot they $44 per night for parking

The Crowne Plaza was a wonderful experience throughout our trip. The only snafu occurred at check with the early morning team member. She was visibly irritated when I requested an adjustment in parking charges. Once the adjustment was made, she never thanked us for our stay nor welcomed our return. It was a bittersweet moment in comparison to the awesome experience rendered earlier.

Everything was nice except check in. We had a full day of traveling, delayed flights and we were exhausted. We didn’t get to check until after midnight. The front desk woman was not friendly, rude and not hospitable at all. She was also rude to a family who also got delayed and arrived after us and had a small baby. If she doesn’t like her job maybe she needs a different profession. No one was forcing her to be there.

Also, its non-smoking and quiet. Great for rest and relaxation.

Excellent stay! Very clean, beds and pillows are super comfortable, AC worked great as it was 100 outside. Shower had lots of pressure and the tub/shower is very roomy. Enjoyed our town night stay. The restaurant onsite is very good also!!

The stay was just okay, nothing special at all. My room need cosmetic attention bad, the bathtub faucet was twisted at an angle with 3 big cracks to the wall of the shower. The bathroom vent was full of dirt, multiple bad path jobs to the ceiling. House keeping was a joke. I was in my room when they came, I verbally told her to not come in and clean my room because I had valuable items I couldn’t not lock up due to no safe in the room. When I returned, only the bed was made up, didn’t even empty the trash can and my suitcase sitting at the foot of my bed. Nothing was taken, but the fact that she came back after I told her not to clean it and waited until I left to enter. Charging $44 a night for parking is ridiculous. It feels like they are forcing you to use their parking garage since there are only a handful of street parking.

Property is a little dated! No cameras in parking garage my car was hit! Parking is extremely tight and house keeping came into my room daily without permission

Property was well kept. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was above average in selection and quality. Location to the Metro was within walking distance {about a block and a half. Overall a great value and pleasant stay.

Didn't like my reservation profile was wrong after calling Personally set up. Handicap room ,the in room phone didn't work.. But staff on duty handle my room issue and solved the room over all 4.5 stars this app would only give even numbers.

Hall was very stuffy. No fridge in room.

They charge $44 a day for parking (ridiculous and unexpected) and they charge a $200 deposit also unexpected.

Just a quick stop before we headed down to Virginia Beach to see our son at Oceana Navy base! He’s a US Marine in training.

The hotel is within walking distance of convenience stores, as well as local eateries. Staff was very friendly and informative. Room was clean and inviting.

Excellent property overall. My only issues were that the wall was thin and could hear conversations from either outside or adjoining room, not sure, and the AC was struggling to cool the room and was also very loud. Otherwise everything was great

Staff are friendly and accommodating

Just recently stayed for the weekend and I loved how convenient it is with everything around it, from the mall down to the smithsonian museums and the airport. The only thing was, the room was a bit dusty and the water pressure in the shower was too much that it hurts not to mention it was leaking the whole time too.

This was such a cute and nice hotel at a great price especially for a weekend stay I will definitely be staying back at this hotel. Another great thing is that it’s close to the airport I loved that and everything is walkable like cvs, some other food places

Good hotel

All was excellent besides the parking garage. It’s $44 plus tax daily and the parking garage is a very tight space for these who have larger vehicles.

Crowne Plaza is close to the Metro, with easy access to DC. We enjoyed the Starbucks Coffee and the gym.

Just a room in a busy part of town. Not much in amenities.
