My son woke up with the stomach flu and unfortunately did not make it to the bathroom and puked all over the floor. I called down to get cleaning supplies and was told they would move our rooms at a cost OR charge me a cleaning fee after we check out. I wasn’t asking them to clean it, I was trying to get supplies to clean it. I received a piece of scrap fabric and no cleaner. I cleaned it up. I found cleaning supplies in my car to help with the smell. This I know isn’t a hotel problem, my kid puked. Why I refuse to give a higher rating is the lack of respect and decency. My child got sick and I was trying with the tools I had to make a hard situation tolerable. Another thing, I purposely booked a room with a pullout sofa. When asked for bedding I was told it’s broke “deal with it”. So we used our car blankets and a packing cube as a pillow because we were unable to get extra bedding. My child was also too tall to sleep comfortably on the sofa so he slept on the floor. Extremely disappointed.

The most affordable good hotel in this neighborhood by far. Very good location next to the entrance of I66 and Custis trail. The hotel has a nice gym, and the breakfast is really cool. It's probably the first time I see a hotel offering freshly baked waffles (you do it yourself, it's super easy). Aircon was quite noisy, and not super efficient, but thank good it was pretty cool at night outside, hence no need during the night.

The location The elevators were not working, the parking is limited, its an old run down place that is expensive.

This hotel should not get more than 4. Hotel is old and has old fixtures, faucet and showers etc. The toilet did not flush. They sent an plumber right away. But the guy did nit fix it completely and would not reply to my question. After he left it flushed but for next flush i had to wait 2 to 3 minutes. Then the shower - water could not flow thru properly due to clogged drainage.

The room was very clean. Many parking spaces. The breakfast offered a wide variety for different tastes. The staff was very helpful twice when my key deactivated. The fitness center was very clean with multiple pieces of exercise equipment. It was a close walk to the metro station which was very convenient for our needs. If we are in DC, we will definitely book this hotel again.

Overall , this is a decent, clean hotel that is in a good location for catching the metro to do DC. It is also very close to Virginia Hospital Center. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.

Manager gave away my room that was prepaid without notification and still charged me for the room.

The website states that shuttle service to the airport is provided, but once there it is only offered to select guests. (This was part of the reason this hotel was chosen so that was frustrating to find out) The property seemed to be well maintained but it is very dated. There was an excellent breakfast provided. Egg& cheese omelets, sausages, waffles, just to name a few of the choices.

It was nice not having to pay to park and a close walk to the Metro.

Everything from check in to check out was wonderful.

The room was decent, everything was clean. It was a weird smell when I burst walked in and it never actually dissipated. I guess you get used to it cause when we left and came back it was there again, the air conditioner only worked when it wanted to and the shower, the water was coming out of the Spicket and the showerhead at the same time meaning there was very little pressure and no matter what I did to try to pull it up. It didn’t work. To address breakfast we went down there at a reasonable time on Saturday, and there was barely anything left, but the workers were ensuring that they were making themselves plates with you generally don’t have a problem with if you eat after customers. And as long as your job is complete because every single table was dirty, no matter where you were going to try to sit. And on the day of checkout Sunday, it was 10 times worse there was absolutely nothing available by 9:30 and breakfast is supposed to be available up until like 11 Area is safe

This is a great hotel for the price. The self parking is free (rare) and secure. It’s a ten minute walk to the metro or take the hotel shuttle. The only con is the quality of the complimentary breakfast. It’s not that good, but for a quick bite before heading out it’ll do. The facility has always been clean, and I’ve stayed here many times.

Wonderful, attentive staff, and many thanks, Asher, for assistance as I checked in a bit later as my plans changed. Breakfast was tasty, and the cheerful host was helpful. The Ballston-Rosslyn Corridor has much to offer, such as restaurants, shopping, and Metro. I lived in Arlington, VA, decades ago, and much has changed along this Corridor. I recall the Metro's Orange line extension/stations opening, Court House to Ballston. Traffic/street parking can get challenging. Great to have free parking included at Comfort Inn Ballston. I'll be back!

My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is very close to the Virginia Hospital Center. I would stay here again. It is a good choice for the price.

We booked a room just in case our power went out, which it tends to do. The hotel is understaffed, and not well maintained. The bathroom was not well cleaned. We told staff and they said it was a "stain that would not come out". Little soap and elbow grease and it came out. It took them a while to clear the entrance and exit of snow. This is clearly a cheap hotel for the area, and there is a good reason for it. We got exactly what we paid for. That being said, nobody was rude, and the front desk was trying. The cleaning staff was not.

The beds just weren't comfortable. I slept maybe two hours. The other bad thing which I hope is rare, was a customer in lobby actually inhaling nitrous oxide constantly for over a half hour! The manager told the customer to go back to his room, but was ignored. He should have called the police. It's illegal in Virginia and gives a terrible impression of the motel

The room was extremely clean for an older room. After the first morning, our shower in Room 231 would not shut off. We had to go somewhere, so we told the front desk. When we came back at night, the water was shut off. We did not know until the next morning that all the water to the shower/tub had been shut off!! We were never told when we returned. We were unable to take showers before we had to travel home.

Great place to stay for marathon weekend. Close enough to subway and affordable. Parking car was easy and room was clean.

No security. Front desk not staffed at night. For three nights I was able to walk in and take the elevator to the room floors. No card swipe needed. Hallway smelled only vaguely like cigarette smoke.

There’s no ill intent behind this review, but the room we were given was quite dirty unfortunately. There was dust on surfaces, the tabletops were left uncleaned (there were sticky spots left on the night stand as if something had previously been spilled), and there were notable stains on the linens. We ended up finding a cockroach on one of the pillows, and we ultimately decided to cut our stay short.

We stayed 7days and recommended choosing this hotel. Easy to get to the Ballston metro. If you don't want to walk they will provide shuttle. Lots of eating places close by. It's in a very comfortable and safe area.

The bathroom needs to be updated. There is not enough light, and the curtains should be replaced with modern glass. The floor is always wet after we shower. Not enough light in the bedroom either.

When we checked-out, we inadvertently left a black zipper case containing my wife's Beats Headphones. We immediately called the hotel, and they asked housekeeping if the headphones turned up. They said no. That is impossible. We know exactly where the headphones were. My wife thought I picked them up. I thought she picked them up. Unfortunately, neither us picked them up. They were sitting on the desk. Clearly, the housekeeping staff took the headphones, kept them and lied about it. Those headphones were a gift from our daughter a month before. We are flabbergasted by the outrageous lies and deceit of the staff. We really would like the headphones back or to be reimbursed for the theft. The attached picture shows what the case looks like. I have the same headphones, and the picture is of my case.

Huge room, uber-comfy bed, great shower/water pressure. Could use some grab and go snacks/food in the lobby because there are no nearby shops. Nice continental breakfast, with bacon, eggs, etc.

The only thing I would say is that this hotel is clearly dated and requires repair and refreshing. We had a water leak in the ceiling of the bathroom.

I booked a king size suite but for whatever reason it wasn't available when I arrived. We were given a double qn bed room with a roll away which was surprisingly spacious- full size. We didn't make a big deal about it because we were only staying 1 night and the location and free parking near DC made up for it. The room was very clean and spacious. As usual we weren't given enough wash cloths and towels but luckily housekeeping was outside in the hallway so they were able to provide some. Breakfast was pretty lame, fake eggs, no type of breakfast meat whatsoever. But overall served its purpose for a short stay.

Overall, our stay was nice. Our room 203 was spacious, above one of the car entrance facing the street. But it was quiet except for the humming of the AC. However, the room was at the very far end of the building, quiet but a bit of a walk to the elevator. Breakfast was good.

The hotel building structure is very special, with hotel rooms surrounding the parking lot. There're both covered and uncovered parking. The location is very convenient, unlike other DMV areas with confusing road map and traffic. It is very quiet inside of the building. A very good deal with the reasonable price.

On the positive side, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, providing a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning in the hallways keeps those areas cool, though the in-room AC units are wall-mounted and not the most modern. The windows barely open, limiting airflow. Convenience-wise, the hotel offers: * Free parking * Close proximity to dining and bars(semi-walkable) * Easy highway access to I-395 * Budget & Avis car rental return on-site * Airport shuttle available (by reservation) * Gas station next door One downside is the frequent noise from ambulances passing by, but the **location is safe and priced reasonably for the area. If you're looking for basic accommodations with parking and a good location, this is a functional choice just be aware it’s an older, no-frills property in need of TLC

Check in was quick and easy. We selected this hotel for the free wifi, free parking and free breakfast. Able to park and take an Uber into DC with no problem. Checked out the next day and allowed to leave the car until 6pm. Great perk. Room was comfortable but outdated. Otherwise, no complaints.

Great place to stay. Clean and spacious. Walking is about 15 minutes to metro. Hotel had shuttle to train station but not in service during 12-2, when we got here. Walkable to food area to eat. Had parking which helped a great deal.

The front desk staff were amazing. The shuttle service was a real life and money saver.

It was a great place to stay at for the price I paid and very close to downtown D.C. The room was spacious, with clean beds and bathroom. The manager at the front desk was a very friendly lady. I will definitely recommend this place.

I felt like I was in the 1950s...in a bad way. I left 2 days early. The rating said 8/10 wonderful. I asked for 2 days refund but they said it was too late. I felt better aborting my trip, taking the loss, and driving 6 hours back to Columbia SC to sleep in a clean bed. Ill always double check from now on. Ill never just trust the ratings.

We booked the room for 5 people- 2 in each bed and 1 on the sofa bed. The mattress to the sofa bed was ripped to pieces and there was no bedding for it. The mini fridge didn't work and we were only given 4 towels each day for 5 people. Our wing of the hotel smelled like old urine and the AC both in the hall and our room were subpar. Wallpaper was coming off the walls and one of the elevators was broken, with no sign on it. My husband got stuck inside of it. Free parking was a perk but the room itself was pretty terrible.

This is a good value considering its location, free underground parking, and free breakfast.

I have stayed here a few times over the years. Nice clean hotel. Conveniently located near shopping and dining. Pleasant staff. I would definitely recommend.

Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast only down side is couch bed was wired shut and tub drained slow. Surprisingly for the location you really couldnt hear the traffic at night.

Good location, consistent quality over the years

We were in room 307. It would be great if you could replace the bathroom fan as it was very noisy. The location was perfect for us as we had business at the VHC.

Short walk to the metro and free parking.

It was a simple hotel, yet it was very spacious and staff was nice and helpful. They also have free parking...very rare in the region. Main downside is that the breakfast area is too small for the size of the hotel...it gets tricky. I would stay here again.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. On our last full day, the water was shut off from 11am-3pm for maintenance which was an inconvenience considering it was the day of the Beyonce concert!!

Good breakfast but quite crowded and seating was limited/challenging. Lobby/reception staff were helpful and friendly. Good management and availability of luggage carts.

We loved the space in our room, perfect for a family. Also appreciated the shuttle.

On the plus side, the parking was free and breakfast was decent.

We liked that it was close to the Metro. And plenty of great places to grab a bite. The staff was very nice, easy check in and out. Downside for us was that the room smelled musky, and the AC was not very cool. Needs some updates to decore, furniture. Had one light that would not stay on , flickered off and on. Was an ok stay, but might not choose to stay there again with other Hotel options with higher reviews near by.

Although in the afternoon the shuttle was not quite reliable as in the morning, we was still able to walk back to the hotel in around 10 minutes from the Metro station.

This property was comfortable to stay at, it might have been confusing driving into the parking lot at first but the employees are wonderful and my friends and I loved our stay.

Doors at rooms needs to upgraded.
