Hotel was very clean but smelt like moth balls

The bathroom smelled bad and I always wanted to get out of it as soon as possible. The breakfast was ok but the waffles were not cooked all the way through.

Early check in even paying at the desk seems to be beyond their abilities. It’s a decent hotel and they have a hot breakfast. I would stay again

I drove all the way from ny and ended up having to get a another hotel the same night. Front desk staff Beth was very rude and inconsiderate. She offered for me to plunge the toilet myself. She called the onsite manager and explained the situation. They weren’t able to accommodate me either. We ended up leaving and getting a room at the La Quinta Inn nearby which was very clean and the staff was friendly and polite.

The a/c controls were broke, with the room on arrival extremely cold. The a/c unit was very loud. When requesting a different room so we would not get sick from the cold , we were told it was okay to unplug the unit. She would have maintence check it out tomorrow, which was absolutely no help for us. It was freezing until early morning. At 9:30 on Saturday morning the coffee was all gone, the regular waffle mix was out. There was chocolate mix if you wanted that. Also hot water was out so no tea either. There was two apples in the fruit bowl. There WAS COLD cereal and milk.

The only rude person we encountered during our 4 day stay in North Carolina was the front desk person. As we were coming into the hotel on our last night, we noticed something that looked like dog feces tracked all the way in to the elevator. We approached the front desk and let the employee, (female) know , that it looked like a dog had an accident. She replied in a very obnoxious manor that they don't allow dogs in the hotel. She did not look into it, and upon check out the next morning we were surprised to find it still on the floor in several places.

Overall the place is tired.

The TV was in "display" mode which meant that the features of the TV would come up on the screen every few minutes. 2. The bathroom stunk really bad. It smelled as though the toilet wasn't seated properly and there was gas coming back in. Really bad.

The bathroom smells like a septic tank.

The breakfast was not that great. I notice the staff only put out a certain amount of food out. They breakfast staff watch people as they ate and then only added a little portion of bacon and bananas out. The cafeteria staff watching people and only putting out limited breakfast food.

The staff though were so nice, breakfast was great and the room was really clean. The hotel was fine other than the door bringing in all the noise and light. I’m going to give our stay being hectic to the neighbors around us.

Decent Breakfast - attendant was great Disabled room has roll in shower that allows water to easily exit the bathroom onto the room carpet. This appeared to have occurred previously in the room we got, and the carpet was wet and smelled bad.

They rooms where descent . Does need a mattress upgrade it was pretty worn out Rooms are definitely not sound proof at all 😳.

Ursula the sea witch and her hags were in the next room and kept us up half the night…we could hear literally every word they were speaking, screeching or caterwauling. The front desk offered to knock on their door…so helpful when they were already combative. Just a less than experience. Overall the room was run down, showing age and was less than immaculate. I will say the bed was comfortable…so at least there is that. My advice? Pay more and stay somewhere nicer…it will be worth it.

Location Old, creepy room. Air conditioning poorly cooled. Door had a lot of space and light coming through. Peek hole stuffed with tissue.No towel racks in bathroom. Bed very uncomfortable.

A/C would not stop blowing. I tried to enjoy a meal at the table next to the PTAC. It was blowing like a mofo so I tried turning the unit off and it still blew. It’s not a bad place overall, I just don’t like walking out to get in my car and getting a face full of weed smoke.

The photos online are completely misleading. The cleanliness and maintenance are unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one carrying the Clarion name. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place needs a complete deep cleaning and serious management attention before anyone should consider staying here.

We went into the first room and walked out it was smelly. then went to the next and it was better had to shut off air conditioner because the smell was coming from there.

We checked into a room on the first floor. It had a very strong odor and had to ask for a room on the second floor. We had hoped to get a room that was less musty, but it still had an odor. We cranked up the a/c to try to reduce the smell. This was disapppointing given that I have asthma and mold affects my health.

I booked for one night. They told me I booked 2. I asked for money back for the 2nd night. They told me call Expedia, who told me to ask them. No one would deal with me. Will not use Expedia or Clarion Hotel again. It is extremely low class. No customer service at all. People shouting in the halls at 2am. Stay far away. I know I will.

The staff were so courteous and helpful. Karen, the manager was one of the most helpful and nicest people I’ve met. Joe, the maintenance man went up and beyond to provide the upmost help.

It’s was just ok first floor is a bit noise and smell coming from the breakfast area inside the room. The doors has a gap you can see the outside.

The breakfast was very good. Eleanor is very hospitable. The grounds were very nice and clean. The front dash reception also were very nice. I felt safe there . I would definitely stay there again.

Toilet flooded they offered a plunger and dropped it at the door. No cleaning supplies or anything let us do it ourselves. Disgusting. Will not be back. Lots of yelling from ppl in the next room until two in the morning.

Terrible staff the website said that the age to book was 18 but when we got there they denied us and said it was 21 being very rude to stay after I had book they didn’t let us stay or get a refund absolutely terrible experience.

We come to Apex several times a year to visit family and stay here every time. The staff is excellent, and the hotel is so easy to get to, parking is close, and rooms are close to everything you need.

The staff were all very welcoming, even the cleaning staff greeted us as we walked by.

The staff were wonderful and the bed was amazing. The shower was very clean.

Toilet didnt work properly in my room and in the room that I purchased for my crew, there was no hot water.

Excellent breakfast options. Guests with loud children playing in hallways, Outdated lobby and breakfast area.

I’ve machine was out of order. Front desk had no cash to change a $20 bill so I could buy a soda since I was told they did not sell bottled water. Finally, the water fountain off the lobby did not work at night but did in the following morning. Otherwise, my experience was good.

Cleanliness was good, they were doing some renovations that required a tiny bit of navigation... but renovating means they care about quality. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Excellent value for the $. They just need to fix the beverage vending machine. We would definitely stay there again.

The sign at check-in read “Pardon our dust we are renovating” Some areas looked refreshed, but much of it did not. We stayed on the top floor of a two floor hotel and it was extremely noisy between slamming room doors, road noise and a washer/dryer room that was being used at 6am in the morning. Also, the shower faucet only went from scaulding hot to cold. If you’re only looking for a one night stay it’s Ok, but not comfortable for anything longer.

This place looks decent in the photos but is not that decent in person. Second night there, another guest was in screaming altercation with the front desk agent when I arrived and the cops were called. More arguing ensued outside loud enough I could hear in my second story room. There was also an ambulance that was pulling away when I arrived- not clear it was the same incident or separate incident but definitely did not feel safe. Rooms are ok, bed was comfortable but they didn't have standard pillows- they were these square dense square pillows. Breakfast was minimal and didn't have a lot of healthy options. Very noisy and walls were thin. Definitely overcharged for the room. Ive stayed in much nicer hotels without safety issues for the same price.

It was so clean and nice. Great water pressure in the shower. I don't usually take part of the free breakfast, but I was thankful for having fresh fruit (banana) and a yogurt. My husband had eggs, sausage and toast.

Nothing unique, but a nice hotel for the money...liked the 2 king beds for myself and hubby and adult children in the other!

Check in was easy, the bed was comfortable. My room wasn’t the cleanest. There was food crumbs on the floor and stuff on the bathroom floor. Rest of the stay was fine.

Our first room had not been cleaned so we were given another room that was cleaned. Didnt like the cofee pot in the bathroom. But plenty of hot water which is a plus. Bed not to uncomfortable. We would stay again

Easy to park, easy to find

Bathroom mirror crooked with screw and brace on front of it. Toilet ran off and on all night. All ice machines were broken.
