Location was central to everywhere I wanted to go. It felt like it was in a quiet, secluded neighborhood, but was literally just minutes away from major travel routes bringing you wherever you needed to go - whether it was Annapolis, the bay areas, or Baltimore and DC. It would have been nice to have on-site conveniences like toiletries, snacks, sandwiches, etc. And a do-not-disturb sign.
- 4/5
The room was extremely clean; recently renovated; quiet; and an exceptional value for Annapolis, MD on Memorial Day weekend AND Naval Academy graduation week! I don’t think anything could have been improved without increasing cost.

We ended up leaving right after checking in. The room smelled like old disinfectant. It's very very dated and the beds were not comfortable. Not updated since the 70s.

I had to make a last minute trip to the area on a holiday weekend. I booked this hotel because rates at most hotels had skyrocketed due to the popularity of the dates. The only advantage to staying here is that it wasn't too far from the downtown/waterfront area. The motel is old, tired and in need of a renovation. My room smelled like stale cigarette smoke and who knows what else. It was bad enough that I purchased air freshener at the store to reduct the odor. There were bugs, both alive and dead, in the bathroom. There were stains on the walls that should have been cleaned. The decor was dated and nothing was new. Trying to talk to the people at the front desk was not worth my time because they didn't seem interested in helping. Obviously, I'll never stay here again and I wouldn't advise anyone else to stay here, either.
- 2/5
Keys did not work. No shampoo, no conditioner no hair dryer, bad smell. Absolutely no hanging hooks or hangers at all.
- 3/5
Not a great hotel, would never stay here again
- 2/5
Although it was the least expensive motel available in the Annapolis area, it was by far the most expensive and least comfortable of my trip so far. I could hear voices (probably TV) in the next room all night. Everything worked OK, bed was comfortable, etc., but it just seemed old and "shabby." Cabinetry seemed partially dismantled. Outside, there were boxes piled around. There was a phone that I attempted to use to call the front desk, but it wasn't connected. At check in at 9pm, the clerk was walled off and barricaded for security - that made me wonder if the area was dicey or unsafe. No breakfast, just coffee - pass!
- 4/5
The property is in the perfect location for our yearly visit. It certainly could be more modern. The room was not dirty but does show some age. The staff was exceptionally friendly and everything was as it was as advertized.
- 1/5
It was foul, so many hazards and disgusting things weren't just in our room, but every other displayed and presented. They wouldn't let us look at the beds of the new rooms after finding pubic hair and bugs in the sheets and a pee stain on the actual mattress. They did a surprise cleaning fee and expected this all to fly. Then when investigating other rooms, they said it wouldn't be fair to housekeeping.

Can not judge a book by its cover! Remodeled room that was clean and could have been in a Marriott or Hilton property! Small bathroom but excellent design and construction! Only wish was that no shampoo provided. Definitely would stay here again.
- 1/5
Refused to refund me for a room I ordered in error less than 2 hours before I realized the error. So I had to pay for a room I could not used. Both hotels.com and this hotel scammed me of my funds

Unable to stay wasnt what i thought i booked.
- 4/5
Close to Annapolis. It's a functional motel.
- 3/5
The sheets had a super low thread count. The door to our room was also super thin so it seemed like someone could just kick it down without a problem
- 1/5
Worst customer service
- 3/5
It’s was average. Barley that in my opinion. Only book here if it’s last minute and need a quick place to stay…. Book your place in advance.

Need improvement

The room was in bad shape, including curtains that were not quite wide enough to cover the window (and there was a very bright security light above the window), drawers that were not able to keep closed, and, most frustratingly, a broken bathroom door. It was split lengthwise down from the knob, which was lolling in its spot. We could not fully close that door. Bathroom had only soap, but we were able to get shampoo at the desk.
- 4/5
The staff is super friendly and there is a convenient store to buy drinks and snacks within walking distance.

I knew we should have cancelled as soon as we walked into the office. Although the staff were friendly the office reeked of mildew. Then we were informed that there was a $25 a night pet fee that wasn't stated anywhere when we initially booked. The outside of the hotel wasn't bad, all the rooms are on the 1st floor. It was odd though that all the hotel rooms across the lot were piled high with boxes. When we entered the room it again reeked of mildew and was filthy. We initially booked for 3 nights. We ended up leaving after only 2 hours and checking out due to the smell and the uncleanliness of the room. We ended up losing about $400 and just going back home and cancelling our vacation because of the conditions in the hotel room. It literally looked like a crack hotel. Would not recommend at all!!!
- 3/5
The area was WELL lighted, too much in fact. The back window's light was SO bright it was intrusive. The appointments were very nice as the room had been recently upgraded, especially the countertops and shower area. Overall a good bargain. They REALLY have to do something about that back light! The bright lighting was a welcome feature in FRONT, but not i the back.
- 4/5
The road leading to the hotel was trashy and homely.
- 1/5
I sure made a mistake going there
- 5/5
I love this place! All the rooms are spacious. The entire staff is great!
- 3/5
Typical motel stay. You get what you pay for. Got woken up at 6am to music blaring from next door
- 2/5
The property is older in an area that is difficult to access. The rooms are small. The rooms are overpriced. It's more of at $60 - $70 a night in my opinion. $140 Tax was not worth it.
- 3/5
It was an OK place to stay, but the heat was really loud and even with the curtains closed there were bright lights that made it hard to fall asleep
- 1/5
Cockroaches and the room in bad condition
- 4/5
Clean and cozy
- 3/5
The check in people were very nice but I had no internet. The gentleman at the front desk told me to bring my laptop to him so he could verify I was trying to access correctly. Which he did but he could not log me in either.
- 2/5
Rented a room in the back row next to the entry ramp. The one window in the room had the brightest light outside the window shining in like sunlight at noon. The black out curtains were hung 1.5 inches from the wall, so no matter how we stuffed the curtain we still had a blaring light an inch thick blarring out from the top of the window.
- 1/5
I was very disappointed. There was no dining or even coffee in the lobby or coffee in the room. No hair dryer. The staff wasn't friendly or helpful. Felt very uncomfortable in the room. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.
- 2/5
On check-in, we had to go back to the reception 3 times because our key card wasn't working. Overall, not a pleasant experience.
- 2/5
The walls in my room were visibly dirty, there were pallets of boxes in between room doors, the beds were HORRIBLE, the coverlets and blankets smelled and the carpet in the room was sticky. The whole place needs at LEAST a paint job and maybe a good pressure wash.
- 1/5
A dump
- 3/5
Bright lights presumably for safety made it difficult to sleep.
- 4/5
Everything as expected. The TV remote needed new batteries which were provided by front desk.
- 5/5
This property has recently been updated, room by room. They clearly are still in the process - evidenced by palates of supplies outside a number of rooms not yet being used. Extremely clean, recently remodeled. Great outside lighting, clean and spacious parking. I believe there is a laundromat on the premises. It is within minutes of the City Dock and the Naval Academy. Underpriced.
- 4/5
The room is very basic as expected for a budget hotel. The tv is older so alot of the channels had lines, double pictures, and or snow on them. The only thing that really bothered me was the light outside of the window of our room. I get it is kinda a security thing but it was soooo bright that it lit up the room even with the curtain pulled shut and tucked into the window. I would suggest some type of blinds that would block that lighting out for the guest. Overall, it is a quiet place for a hotel off of rt50 and affordable for a quick stay for a work trip.
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to use the Lauren though it was after the posted hours. While the room was clean there was some wear and tear. Drawers on the nightstand wouldn’t stay closed. Small holes in the drapes. Lastly there was no continent breakfast offered which was indicated was available on the site. Part of why I paid the price for the room.
- 3/5
Their website states there is a continental breakfast, there is not. The rooms were not very clean. One mattress has staining that may have been water but resembled blood, mattress was very old and had a torn mattress cover. There were no fitted sheets, the space under the head of the mattress was filthy on the carpeting with hair, nails and dander. And there were boxes and packages piled outside of the doorways in the rooms. States it’s a hotel, but it is a motel.
- 2/5
Rooms have old motel smell which will leech inot your clothes
- 2/5
An old tired roadside motel. Nice bathroom except for the beetle crawling on the floor. The room doors have some gaps the let bugs in.
- 5/5
Friendly , helpful staff
- 1/5
Land line in the room was broken. Staff did not send maintance tech. Bed terrible room dirty!
- 2/5
No Kleenex had to use toilet paper snd the toilet bowl was disgusting
- 1/5
Hotels . Com hid all of the bad reviews and the place is a dump that I wouldn’t go to if I was homeless then refused any refunds.
- 4/5
It’s extremely affordable and for the price the room was basic and clean. Parking is directly in front of your room and there wasn’t much around the motel, so it feels safe. The room had a smell which we think was cleaning products that was a little strong.
- 3/5
Staff was not available for check out. Area around the location was not the best.
- 5/5
I have stayed here multiple times and have always enjoyed it
- 3/5
Clean and quiet, but very spartan room. No coffee maker and the electrical outlets didn't fit my device plugs
- 5/5
cool and quiet, nice for its price.

blood splatter everywhere and stains on sheets. Carpets were sticky shoes literally got stuck to the floor. Shower had mold in it. Missing drawers to the dresser. If you don’t lock you’re door too people can just walk in one person walked into our room at 11pm then walked out like nothing happened. So noisy too we could hear every car door that someone opened and of course freezing cold. We tried to turn the heating unit on but, it made this gross smell making us sick. We asked for a refund but, we’re argued with. Don’t stay here they charged us almost 400 dollars for this 2 night stay
- 5/5
I really just needed a place to sleep and shower. This place fit the bill and was a 3 mile drive to the boat show. Reason price too.
- 4/5
My stay at the Village Inn was a good experience. It's a motel, not a hotel so it met my expectations.
- 2/5
Location was good
- 2/5
It cost more than the Country Inn and Suites nearby and was old with storage out in front of the rooms across the way. The corporate side was misinformed and told us the room we received wasn't even available, like there was a rush on this "great" motel. I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
I was a little concerned when we pulled in but the room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we felt very safe. Would definitely stay again
- 1/5
The office stuck as well as our room, webs in ceiling corners, old looking run down the smell was mold mildew and i dont know what else, i would not recommend this place to any one. They don't come in and clean or refresh your bed untill your stay is over they said.Gap under entrance door anything can crawl in.
- 5/5
Awesome room thanks
- 4/5
Its kind of in an isolated place. Its a little run down & cluttered but it was clean & comfotable. It served our needs. And the AC was great!
- 1/5
Location was convenient but condition of room was disgusting. Furniture torn, worn and black including curtains from age, holes in wall, burns in bedding and blanket. Didn't even stay there it was do bad. Don't know how this meets health standards.
- 1/5
I would not EVER,EVER come back to this particular”hotel”lady at the recepción great and all but as I mention before.no cold water to shower and stains sheets carpet stinks.
- 3/5
Clean, comfortable, outdated but in good condition.
- 4/5
Great for a budget motel. The facility seems to be undergoing major remodeling. My only complaint is that I travel with my dogs and am charged $25 per dog per night. If I had a visitor spend the night the charge would be $15 per night. It seems to me that it should be the other way around.
- 3/5
Pretty basic but clean. Only 2 small bars of soap. No hair dryer or box of Kleenex. Couldn’t tell if it was a storage facility that was converted to a motel or a motel that was being converted to a storage facility.
- 1/5
place looks sketchy
- 1/5
The place looks nothing like the pictures it smelled horrible and I can hear mice squealing in the room. Never again don’t stay there! It’s a Norman Bates hotel….. horrible horrible place!
- 4/5
My stay was fine. The room was clean & spacious. If you were to judge the Village Inn by its outside appearance you would likely expect a much poorer room.
- 2/5
Don’t stay here.
- 4/5
Good value for the money, room was large and very clean, however amenities are limited, to keep expenses low , I was told. Seemed to have ongoing renovations?
- 4/5
The room was very spacious and since we had pets, we were close to the grass(very convenient) The door had gaps so there was a little cold air coming thru but the heater was great so the room was nice and cozy. It looks like some upgrades are going on, so overall I think the money was well spent. It was 8 minutes from where I was going so super convenient.
- 3/5
The reception smelled horribly. We almost left
- 2/5
Truly a 1-Star MOtel. Probably the worst place I've stayed overnight in a long, long time. No secondary door lock inside the room, condom wrapper on the floor, cops called for another guest, noise from the highway, and a musty/damp smell in the room. Avoid this place unless you have NO other options.
- 2/5
Way too expensive for the low quality rooms and lackluster cleaning.
- 4/5
The property seem to be under renovation. The room was better than expected.
- 2/5
Gross.
- 3/5
Room was affordably priced
- 1/5
The pictures were EXTREMELY misleading! This was like a drug motel you see in movies!!!!! Highly disappointed
- 3/5
Area was a little seedy, there's a gas station and liquor Mart nearby that's seen better days and the clientele there was ... Interesting to say the least. Room was a bit dated, carpet was funky and room had a minor musty smell. Is it Worth saving a few hundred bucks as opposed to staying in Annapolis city? Yes. Is it a better bargain that a neighboring Red Roof Inn or comparable economy hotel that is about $100 more a night? No. Right by the highway so it was really loud as well. Dodgy area at best but there are microwaves and fridges
- 1/5
We reserved and paid for a non-smoking room. Upon arrival told only smoking rooms were available. I grumbled and he magically found one (Room 412) which was horrible. Smelled worse than a smoking room and very dirty. I paid $188 for a horrible experience. Never again!
- 4/5
Great friendly check in. Cleanliness is an A++. The bed was comfortable. The hotel itself could use some remodeling but other than that it was good. No amenities were available, but for the cost in comparison to others in the area, ripping off boat show attendees, this hotel was great.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly
- 2/5
Very low budget and scary. Maybe it was our imagination, but would not go there again.
- 2/5
I am sure it was great in the 1950’s
- 4/5
Smelled a little musty. Sheets had holes in them.
- 2/5
A car alarm went off for an hour late at night and someone was running outside the door screaming and chasing another person at 11pm. When I called the office they couldn’t hear me because the phone wires were pulled out of the phone. I don’t mind staying in a cheap motel for a night if needed, but I expect to pay cheap motel prices if that’s the case. This was laughable for what they are charging
