Not paying 6 dollars for a bag of chips and 6 dollars for a soda I don't want to even tell you what they wanted for a cup of Starbucks coffee or the microwave snacks the prices in there snack room were way way way to high

This hotel exceeded our expectations! It was welcoming from the moment the door opened. The staff was so amazing! The options were great! And it was expertly cleaned. You could smell and see how clean it was. We had stayed in 4 different hotels on our trip and THIS hotel outshined them all! Only that we weren’t staying longer.

First, we were charged twice upon arrival and told that we would receive the refund in 3-7 business days. We checked in on Thursday (it’s now Monday) and our room’s been serviced once. We’ve had to ask for new towels every single day.

The downsides were the bar and breakfast. The bar wasn't very comfortable and the wine was terrible. We had to pay extra for the breakfast and on all 3 mornings of our stay, they ran out of eggs. Very little to choose from for a surcharge.

Holiday Inn IHG Review (short & guest-friendly): “My stay at the Holiday Inn IHG Hotel was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The front desk staff were polite and welcoming, and the buffet breakfast was both delicious and well-managed thanks to the helpful service. Overall, a pleasant and enjoyable experience.”
- 3/5
Easy check in. Everything was nicely updated with the exception of the bathroom shower, just didn’t look clean to me. And the floor in the bathroom was gross and sticky, could benefit from a good mopping. We also had ladybugs all over the room. Also, we have stayed in Holiday Inns before and the breakfast was always included, so we were a little surprised they were charging $15/person for that same buffet breakfast that is included everywhere else.
- 5/5
Ashley and Pam were so friendly and welcoming. Will def be back for business.
- 3/5
The property was well maintained overall, but the floor in the room was sticky in some places. The biggest issue was a lack of staff. We had to wait several minutes to be checked in and to be checked out. At check out, I had questions about my charges and the staff was not able to tell me what I was being charged for.

John, who welcomed us did a great, friendly and thorough job. Did not try the breakfast or bar. However the shower head was barely functional(majority of water coming from the sides not the spray head, an easy 15 minute job IF there was maintenance on the weekend. We did not want to pack up and change rooms.

The little store was out of bottled water to purchase and the large container in the lobby was empty. Front desk clerk just shrugged. The elevator doors opened on the 4th floor and the car wasn’t fully settled yet. It jerked and dropped while we were stepping over the threshold. Told a clerk and later that night same thing happened. That’s dangerous. Bathroom door loudly scrapped the floor when opening and closing in room 403. We were billed for the room and a random number ($74.09) as well that was shown as processing. The clerk seemed disinterested in explaining, helping figure out why. Just gave me a managers card and told me to call someone. Powdered creamer in the rooms. If you’re going to not offer complementary coffee in the lobby ( charged me for two cups in the breakfast area, because breakfast is not included, which is crazy for the price of the room) then at least provide mini half and half cups. The property is clean but service and accommodations are lacking. Will not be staying here again.

Comfy beds - convenient to the lake
- 4/5
It was a nice stay. My only complaint is there were hairs on the shower wall that did not belong to me or my bald husband. Lol Everything else was great. It was nice and quiet and the breakfast was wonderful.
- 5/5
A note referred to the property as being recently renovated. It appeared to be new. Due to recent surgery, I had been instructed to do frequent walking. The gym was equipped with treadmills which I made use of a couple of times. Very convenient.
- 5/5
I love this place, I've stayed twice. Ashlynn at the front and Kim at the bar have made me a VERY dedicated customer!
- 1/5
I booked this room to stay overnight while traveling 21 hours with my kids and father, when I walked in the front door the guy older gentleman at the front desk didn’t even ask me for an id or card for the room just handed me keys and when I went in the room and pulled the blankets back the beds were still dirty with hair in the bed, when notifying the front desk they didn’t move our room just tried to offer us breakfast. They need help

This facility is beautifully and well kept exteriorly and internally. We've stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and well as our other family members. On this occasion our room pillow Lenin and covers had stains. I made management aware of same and the issue got resolved.

There were cigarettes butts in the room we ask for the room to be clean we got back to the room late went right to sleep woke up seen blood on the sheets and comforter
- 5/5
I would have expected for the room rate that it should have included breakfast. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Nice decor and bath products; friendly and helpful staff. Would have like to have access to filtered water stations and complimentary coffee/tea in lobby w/o purchasing breakfast. In-room Keurig was not clean and very dusty.
- 5/5
This is a lovely property that is convenient to everything in Anderson. We liked being away from the interstate and closer to downtown. We will stay here again.

I expected more from a Holiday Inn - it's all in the little details that make a great stay, this one was mediocre.

Wonderful breakfast, staff, and cleanliness.

We stayed two nights at this property. The first night was fine, but the second night, the smoke alarm went off in our room at 3 a.m. I called the front desk multiple times, and no one answered, so my husband and I finally had to walk down there. No one was at the front desk, so my husband had to walk around trying to find someone. Finally, about 15-20 minutes later, he was able to find the guy who was supposed to be at the desk. But only after he walked back through the staff area in the kitchen. We explained the issue, and the guy tried to tell us, "Sometimes that happens when you have the heat on." We had had the heat on since the first day and knew that was not the issue, so I asked him if he thought he should have it checked out. To which he responds, "What do you want me to do about it? I'm no maintenance man." He agreed to give us a new room, so we moved down the hall to a different room around 4 am. We finally got back to sleep, and the smoke alarm went off in the second room around 6 am!!! Once again, we called the front desk and got no answer after multiple calls. At this point, we weren't going to change rooms for a third time, and it was clear that we would have to search for an employee to help. We also didn't feel safe staying there any longer. I was worried about carbon monoxide poisoning or something like that. So, we got up, packed our stuff, and left. I would not stay here again simply because of how the front desk employee handled the situation.
- 2/5
The first room that was assigned to me was not clean. There was hair on the wall of the shower, a used Q-Tip in the waste can, and the furniture was dusty. Ryan at the front desk apologized and reassigned me to another room on a different floor. I stayed for four nights, and the room was never cleaned except for the removal of trash from the waste can, leaving the liner for me to open and place in the waste can, and a roll of toilet paper was replaced with the wrapper left on.
- 5/5
People and room was excellent! Def staying here again!
- 3/5
The room was warm even with the AC at the lowest setting and the TV did not have any streaming options. The screen mirroring didn’t work either. Plus I think there was a giant booger on the wall…
- 5/5
The staff were aqesome. Especially the kitchen staff. They offered to bring her breakfast to our room when she wasn't feeling well. It really meant a lot to both of us.
- 3/5
Overall I would stay here again, the first room we had there was a large hair ball in the bathroom. The bathroom itself was gross. The second room was better, but again the bathroom was outdated and dirty. For a Holiday Inn this shouldn't be. The room itself, bed etc.. was fine. Sheets were clean, bed was comfy. I used the gym while I was there, nice equipment, clean. Had a burger from the restaurant, it was too rare and not warm but I was tired, ate it anyway. There are a lot of other food options in the area, would probably opt to eat elsewhere.
- 5/5
The trash was overflowing at the entrance and floor was very dirty upon arrival. First floor was noisy and we could smell cigarettes in our room. Next day/evening was much better.
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice especially with check in the day after the hurricane. Very clean and the temodel looks good.
- 5/5
Good spot for the weekend.
- 4/5
No thank you
- 2/5
We got in to our room and it had not been cleaned so we went back downstairs to tell the front desk clerk. No where to be found for at least 20 mins. When they did show up I was told that there were no other rooms and she would have to personally clean it. Another 30 minutes later we actually got into our room. Sot it took at least one hour from check in to when we could actually get into a clean room. Never had this type of situation before
- 3/5
Our stay at holiday inn was as expected. We did appreciate the cleanliness of our room. Upon arrival we had to wait quite a bit before receiving help to check in. Once finally checked in and provided a room, we opened up our room to an already occupied room with individuals sitting in there, quite concerning when you think about what if they do this frequently. You could hear in between the walls very easily and it also appeared that the TV remotes could turn on an adjacent rooms television as ours kept turning on in the middle of the night with the volume increasing and channels changing.
- 5/5
Wonderfully renovated property. HVAC is very loud when it cycles on, maybe just our room? Great breakfast! Maybe consider free hotel coffee/tea for guests? Overall great stay!
- 5/5
Great!
- 3/5
Found hairs in the shower when I arrived and dirty tissue on the floor behind the chair. Also had an encounter with two cockroaches. Ordered room service and guy delivered it while talking on his phone, forgot silverware and had to go back and get it.
- 5/5
Newly renovated! Very clean. John at the front desk was a delight!
- 5/5
Remodeled hotel.. Staff is friendly rooms are clean
- 5/5
Was their for Rick the country concert. Hotel staff was awesome, location was close to venue.
- 5/5
Property was excellent
- 4/5
Dont like the layout or the fact we had to pay an additional cost for breakfast
- 3/5
The conditions at this hotel would be fine if it were a discount hotel chain, but the fact that it is a Holiday Inn means that their expectations should be higher. When I reserved my room, I got an email highlighting how the hotel was newly renovated, yay! But let me assure you, these renovations were purely cosmetic. Already the bathroom and carpet were dirty. There was a dead cockroach in the corner of our room and another dead bug on the comforter. The room was musty. The WiFi code given by the front desk didn’t work. The walls are paper thin, we could hear neighbor’s tvs and alarms going off at 4am. The ice machine didn’t work. Etc… like I said, for a discount hotel, I can deal with these issues but for a full price hotel, no way. You’re better off going somewhere else.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay!! The staff at breakfast and check in were amazing! We will return!!
- 5/5
Pam the bartender and Tinie the front desk rep were very friendly and hospitable.
- 4/5
Alicia was so sweet and kind when we checked in. Had an issue with the sheets being not clean and she told us she would move us.. I told her that wasn’t necessary and if we could get some clean sheets and comforter that would be fine. She offered to come help me put them on and I declined… but it was super nice of her to offer. We will def be staying again!
- 5/5
This place is gorgeous! It was upgraded and didn't even need it. It has modern furniture and fixtures. There's a bar and food on-site. It's a great location for food and shopping.
- 5/5
It was clean. Check-in was quick and easy. Definitely a return visit. The only negative was the electric shade, it didn't work.
- 5/5
Excellent service. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
The staff was the best ever!
- 5/5
The staff was the absolute best that I have ever experienced.
- 5/5

- 5/5
This was a great hotel. Everything was right there. It was amazing. Good work.
- 5/5
Close to Anderson University and CLEAN! A less expensive option that has been updated and remodeled. It’s in the middle of Clemson Blvd so there’s lots of shopping and food around.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean, recently remodeled. Bed was comfy and provided DOVE products in suite. My only issue was the check in and the length of time it took to check in along with the front desk person was not very friendly and was not clear about the cost.
- 5/5
Nice and clean. Helpfully staff.
- 3/5
There were hair in the shower. The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were awful.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Staff was awesome like welcoming an old friend.
- 5/5
Beds were comfy and Breakfast was really good
- 5/5
The hotel was the only possitive thing that happened on the weekend
- 5/5
The room was incredible! We even found a bar!! The door to the room was a bit heavy, though. It was a great stay, all-in-all! Thanks for all the wonderful people!
- 5/5
They have breakfast but it's not free. Cost $10.00 They also have a bar 👍
- 2/5
We had a plug in ac unit that would not turn off. The room was frigid- 58 degrees. The smell of mold was overpowering- so much so that we could not even stay in the room for more than 10 minutes. We unplugged the unit andchecked out a day early. Staff told us that this was a common complaint.
- 4/5
Was a nice hotel and reasonable for parent weekend.
- 4/5
The hotel was renovating and I was not notified until after my cancellation date! Also the renovation crew blocked the exit to the handicap parking spaces and also about four accessible spaces creating an issue with my niece’s mobility! The equipment was left outside our window during my entire stay creating EHS! The staff was nice but I think these issues should be addressed for future clients! I took photos and will forward if necessary! I did bring all of my concerns to the staff!
- 5/5
Hank was our “check in clerk”, he was sooo pleasant and friendly!
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
The staff was very friendly so no complaints there. Our main complaints this visit were with the condition of the hotel. We had no hot water one morning which we found out was affecting the whole hotel. The next morning there was work being done ( scraping on the floor or walls and tapping sounds) in the room above us beginning at 8am. Not the most comfortable stay:(
- 5/5
Stayed for one night and it was great! Staff was very friendly and personable. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. We paid the extra for breakfast which was delicious and fresh … very worth it. Only recommendation was a place to fill water bottles in the fitness center or lobby and the coffee could have been hotter and more fresh.
- 5/5
The place was nice
- 3/5
Hotel location and area is fine. The issue was the bathroom was not cleaned prior to checkin and no toilet paper. We checked in at 9pm so no excuses.
- 4/5
Maid service was non existent for the entire stay
- 4/5
Brand new room
- 5/5
Hank at the front desk was wonderful !! Great customer service and made us feel welcome!
- 5/5
The staff was great!

If you want to fall asleep in an active construction zone, then boy have I got a place for you. Planned to sleep in a bit, but this hotel has other plans for me. Called to see if anything could be done about the construction that started up at 8 AM and the hotel staff was of no help; dismissive and condescending, even. Was told the construction was “a necessary evil,” so by their own admission, this hotel is evil and has no problem with what they are subjecting their guests to. I wonder what else they’re okay with putting people through…bedbugs? It wouldn’t surprise me and I wouldn’t put it past them. Oh well, at least they were charging $12 for breakfast. If you enjoy wasting money and having a bad time, then definitely consider checking this place out.
- 5/5
Great play to stay
- 1/5
We did not get a king room as booked. They sent us to two different rooms, both were doubles, then told us Expedia sold us a room the hotel did not have any more available. Twice the room keys they gave us did not work, so back down to the front desk (4 trips total). The front desk agent had to use her master to unlock our room. The sink drained poorly, the bed linens were ripped. Overall the WORST hotel experience I have had in years! And the hotel charged us $50 more than the quoted Expedia price.
- 5/5
They are going through renovation so during the day was noisy but it was pretty quiet at night.
- 4/5
Did not know hotel was under renovation. Would have liked to. So maybe I should have called the hotel myself to confirm what all would be going on for my stay. We were moved far enough away from the noise but the ground level only has one thick curtain but not the sheer one under it so there was a ground-level issue with not being able to close it to my comfortability level with cars parked right outside of it. The hotel was good overall. The people working the desk were very professional and very nice.
- 1/5
The young black lady working the desk for checkout was very rude to my pregnant daughter. She had my grandson 2 yrs old and literally brought her there due to weather to be comfortable and rest well due to having contractions and trying to get a 2 year old baby and herself out the room again in early labor she asked the young lady for a late checkout fir 12 and the rude lady said no you need to be out by 11. Thats why she called and asked! I have gotten late checkouts at every hotel just about even this facility with no problem. Then when I called to speak to a .anager she placed me on hold never coming back to the phone. I have NEVER had one problem here before but this is outrageous and unexceptional especially as often as I stay and put people uo there for business.
