It was beautiful, and well kept. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Everything and everyone at this property were 5 Star wonderful. It is a beautiful, clean and updated property with comfortable beds, well appointed rooms. The layout of the property is aesthetically pleasing and it is easy to get in and out of the room. Employees were friendly and accommodating from the start, food at the restaurant was excellent. We are planning to stay again. Very impressed! Easy stay with dogs too. A+++++
- 5/5
Woodside restaurant had excellent service and food. Lovely landscaping is being updated, swimming pool. Lawn area at back of the spa is beautiful, right on the river and excellent for exercising your dog.

The room was spotless. Our only complaint is always the reception on the TV. It kept glitching every few seconds, on every station, every show. Even YouTube.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and the room was clean
- 5/5
I enjoyed several excellent meals at the Woodside Grill restaurant too!

The property and rooms were very nice and clean! The restaurant out front was also delicious and had a great wait staff!
- 4/5
I thought they had a free hot breakfast but turns out they have a restaurant that you can go to. Breakfast was pretty good there
- 4.5/5
Beautiful setting. Zen vibe. Lovely staff. Walkways unclean.
- 5/5
Was only there for an evening but the facilities looked nice.
- 5/5
The room we had was very convenient to parking and the river front. Our only concern was the shower floor was very slippery- and the grab bar was not close to the tub- other rooms may be just fine. #209.

Definitely my favorite place to stay in This area. The Woodside Grill always amazing. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and the clo
- 5/5
Very quiet and peaceful, relaxing. Beautiful area.
- 2/5
The property was nice with the pond. The room looks nothing like the pictured posted. Maybe they have updated some rooms and those are the pictures posted.
- 3/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed staying there multiple times. Although they gave away a paid room once that I had paid for an advance of specifically requested that one room. They did compensate for the next stay I came. However, it is disappointing that I always had breakfast pretty much included during my stays and now they’re only giving 20% off of breakfast, but there was no advanced notice in the change of their policy. Otherwise, it was a great stay
- 5/5
Clean room, nice property
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
It's like staying in oasis very calming after a long day of drive
- 5/5
This was one of my favorite places to stay. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with fruit trees throughout the property that made it feel very unique and inviting. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The hot tub was amazing, and the atmosphere was relaxing and family-friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again if we are visiting the area.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel nice landscaping
- 4/5
Large room, fridge, microwave, coffee maker No elevator
- 5/5
The hotel is remodeling and I believe they will replace the olde carpet with wooden floor and new furnitures.
- 5/5
For an inexpensive hotel this property still rocked! Comfortable, clean, pet friendly and a very good on-site restaurant. Driving down/up to Seattle I have stayed here before and will do so again - it’s the perfect 1/2 way point
- 5/5
Gaia is in the perfect location. Clean rooms. Restaurant on site.
- 5/5
The landscaping was beautiful and made for a nice walk around the property to wind down from work
- 4/5
Close to the event at the fairgrounds we were working at. I liked having no carpet in the room. Keeps it cleaner and less likely to house bed bugs. Beds and pillows very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub one night. A bit expensive considering Anderson is certainly not a destination town for business or pleasure. I am assuming the price may be cheaper outside of the large event we were attending. We did not eat at the on site restaurant so cannot speak to the quality of the food, but the dinner menu was limited and quite expensive so we chose to eat elsewhere.
- 5/5
very helpful and friendly staff
- 2/5
The location was great I was over charged by nearly $50! Also my credit card was compromised there. Beware!!!
- 4.5/5
We travel to and from Southern California and the Pacific Northwest several times a year and have made the Gaia Hotel our stopping point each way we pass through on I-5. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, the accommodations are spacious and comfortable, and our Nellie Leia pup is always made welcome. Although we've always found the location and accommodations right for us, we were impressed to notice during our visit in mid-May the recent updates to landscaping and rooms, too. Can't think of anything at this time.
- 5/5
A delightful place to stay.

This was a one-night stopover in a longer road trip. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the property was. Grounds are absolutely beautiful. The restaurant next door is a big bonus. However, I wish there were more vegetarian options.
- 3/5
Okay, but needs attention in the rooms. It has potential. Restaurant needs some work. Look forward to returning when it is cleaned up a bit.
- 5/5
Just really really love this place and I have been telling all of my friends!

Setting is magnificent for a motel. Hotel bar is wonderful and staff excellent. Nothing.

What a hidden gem! The grounds feel magical and the on-site restaurant has great food. I stopped on my way through on a road trip but will definitely make it a point to plan a longer stay there.
- 4/5
The property was nice but the glass sliding door was missing so water was splashing outside of the shower

- 5/5
This single night stay was exceptional. We have stayed here several times. The property continues to be maintained and improved upon. Our next trip, Gaia, will be our first choice.
- 5/5
New owners have renovated grounds and room flooring. We’ve been visiting for at least 10 years, and it looks great now! Rooms are very clean but could use new electrical outlets, the existing ones are 100% worn out and are easily & quickly fixed. Bathrooms could use higher output lighting bulbs, as bathrooms are a little dark. HVAC room units are responsive and quiet. Keep up the great renovations!
- 5/5
Helpful staff and check in was a breeze. The room was clean and spacious and quiet! Highly recommend.

Stayed for one night. Was clean and pet friendly. Perfect for a night stay during a road trip but not luxurious so I wouldn’t come for a vacation.
- 1/5
We were given handicap room (not requested) that seemed to be missing a lot of furniture. Bathroom had no counter at all. Some plugs were not working. Security bar in slider was broken. Room was very dated. A/C was loud.
- 5/5
Was only there for one night, but room was really nice
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff
- 5/5
This property was beautiful with a pond and fountain just outside our room.
- 4/5
They say pet friendly but charge an extra fee for pet.

Bungalow was a nice upgrade.

I had a wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Clean room, nice grounds
- 4/5
Clean, basic room. We stayed for one night to get some sleep in the middle of a big road trip. It was quiet, clean and safe - all you can ask for when traveling with little ones.

Overall, this short but memorable stay at Gaia was wonderful. I'm elderly and when I arrived to check in I was told our accomodations were on the second floor. I don't do well with that and advised staff of this. The receptionist at the front desk was not able to make a change however she called her manager before I had asked her to do so. The ;manager came and arranged lovely ground floor accomodations that overlooked the nearby river. The food in the restaurant is good and the service was superb. The grounds, including around our lodging are beautifully landscaped and maintained. The one thing that bothered me is that the rooms have a unique faucet in the bathtub/shower combo. While there was a decal on the wall telling how to use it, it was the same color as the bath tiles and was in about 8 point type, much too small for my old eyes. I finally figured it out AFTER having taken a bath. These old bones don't do so well with getting into or out of a tub. So if you can't figure it out, I'm sure their lovely staff will be happy to give you a lesson in how to use it. Otherwise, entirely happy with our stay.
- 5/5
We love this property and stay here 4-5 times a year. Since the new owners took over they have done amazing at beautification of the property and upgrading the rooms. We even got to have the kids feed the Koi fish with the owner which was a real treat. You can tell the pride they have in maintaining the property.

- 5/5
Loved the place!!!
- 5/5
We stayed one night here on our way back from the desert..it was very nice and very let friendly. The restaurant was also excellent.
- 5/5
Very accommodating. The staff was wonderful even during the construction time. For half of the property was still amazing. And well kept.
- 5/5
Very clean and great service.
- 5/5
Nice place, staff Rhonda was amazing and took great care of us when we had a issue with our shower not working correctly. She moved us to a wonderful room and even gave us free breakfast for the inconvenience.
- 5/5
I enjoy the little lake in the middle of the complex. The massages at the spa are wonderful. It’s a nice place for those who prefer to avoid a lobby area experience . I often see rainbows over the little lake
- 5/5
Place was beautiful but the entrance is hard to tell it’s where your suppose to check in. Other than that stay was great!
- 5/5
Love the unique features of this hotel, and we enjoyed the river nearby and just a short drive away at the river park. An elevator would be nice.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5
Love this beautiful piece of property. It's clean and very well maintained. There is room for improvement with the breakfast thing. Just make coffee accessible and easy. We had to wait for a very busy staff to get us a coffee. People want to grab and go, we don't need a restaurant experience for a quick breakfast.
- 5/5
Very clean, felt safe, super cute hotel
- 5/5
great place!
- 5/5
Nice place for the price. Great bed, spacious room. On-site restaurant.
- 5/5
Great pond and fountain
- 5/5
This is our 2nd visit to this hotel. Great property, friendly staff and pet-friendly.
- 5/5
The property is beautiful as well as the room nice and very clean . The staff is always friendly. Our favorite place to stay we have been here for a week visiting family.
- 5/5
Unique property with great outdoor space along the river. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Beautiful grounds and rooms
- 5/5
We have stayed here several times now and it is a lovely, quiet hotel and the staff is always fast and friendly at check-in. Love the spa, too!
- 5/5
All was great, thank you!
- 5/5
There was no telephone in my room upon arrival and it was not replaced during my stay.
- 5/5
Loved this place! Beautiful and clean room with comfortable bed. The property was lovely with a pool and hot tub. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was clean and they have a good quality restaurant serving a 35% discounted meal. I recommend anyone to stay there!
- 3/5
The grounds are beautiful and kept up very nicely. We had a view to the river but the room we stayed in was felt dark and dated. We had a tiny spider in the bed and called the front desk to let them know. They said river spiders are common being so close to the river. We could have brought it him in on us but I don't know. They came and sprayed around the bed since there were no other rooms available. The employees were very nice.
- 5/5
Breakfast great. Hot tube?
- 4/5
Nice little gem of a hotel off I-5 that wasn’t a chain. The restaurant was nice and the food was great. My only criticism is the pool is very small and there was only one lounge chair and it was broken. I had a nice view from my room with the fountain and pond right outside.
- 5/5
Super fun hotel! Very beautiful and relaxing
- 5/5
What a fantastic spot! My husband and I wanted a quick get away for our anniversary. We had spa treatments and loved our meals at the grill. The grounds were lovely and it’s worth taking a stroll down by the river. Our room faced the lagoon and whilst minimalisticly appointed, it worked. Highly recommend and will go back one day.
- 1/5
The room was a dive, dirty, and felt very unsafe
- 4/5
Properties under renovation. Doors need to be painted. Look dirty
- 3/5
The food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent. Be prepared to walk around if you stay here; there are no elevators to the top rooms, but the staff was very accommodating and friendly despite the construction surrounding them.
- 5/5
I was impressed by many things related to this property. Thanks!
- 5/5
Easy parking, clean room
- 4/5
Parking was good. Staff was very nice. Didn't eat breakfast.
- 5/5
Great staff, property, rooms and pet friendly. The restaurant on property is excellent too!! Will definitely go back when in area.
- 3/5
Stayed before and really enjoyed it and had a nice double queen room. On this stay, when we checked in they said they only had a ‘standard’ room w two queens available. I didn’t know that their standard rooms were different - subpar- from their other rooms, especially because they’re the same cost? Upon entering the room, I was hit was an overpowering smell of carpet and/ room cleaner…then I detected the faint scent of cigarette smoke. Clearly it had been a smoking room in the past or was, and I wasn’t informed. The cleaning smell was horrible- we kept the screen door open to attempt to air it out. The room and bathroom was run down and nothing like the room we stayed in previously. I was too exhausted from my travels to relocate but heed my warning- if they offer you a standard room- do not accept it!
- 4/5
Beautiful grounds, room was clean, bed comfortable
- 4/5
Also they need to get lawn chairs by the pool. Super awesome staff!
- 4/5
Room was large. Interesting layout of property with these circular sections where rooms are. Easy accessible for ground level rooms. Beautiful grounds to walk around and breakfast was great (not included). Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was good sized. We also didn't hear the other guests at all inside the room. All requests were handled promptly. We paid a discounted rate through Expedia, and for that reason, it was a bargain for what you got. We didn't eat at the onsite restaurant (which was a little pricey for us), but it might have been good. The best part was the beautiful grounds and being right on the river.
- 3/5
Spa was excellent. Restaurant was great! Hotel not so much. First room was not clean. Next room was a little better but the tv didn’t work, jacuzzi was cold, and the fridge wasn't cold. Complaints were ignored. Won't stay again.
- 2/5
Run down room with stain on sheets. Wouldn’t stay here again.
- 2/5
Bed was comfy. The only saving grace. Had to have maintenance come fix our door as the hinge was coming down and preventing the door from opening. Severe paint damage and
- 3/5
Clean and tidy but furniture worn out.
- 1/5
The staff was amazing , but sadly, it’s a really run down property. We won’t return, I’m sorry to say
- 5/5
Very relaxing and clean!
- 4/5
Rooms were clean and the staff were great. Even found me a room when I extended my stay and they were packed.
- 5/5
Convenient location right off interstate
- 3/5
The bathroom only had one shower door and that door was put in backwards as the towel hanger was inside the shower. The water got all over the floor and you can tell the door is damaged from the water on the bottom.
- 5/5
We have stayed here a few times because it's more affordable than a lot of other hotels. We love the water feature, seeing the koi and all the plants. They have a spa which I've never had time to use but I'm sure it's nice also. They have rosemary on grounds and recently planted fruit trees which I think is so cool and I wish more places did that.
- 5/5
I’m sure it will be great when all work is complete.
- 5/5
Great location. Pet friendly
- 4/5
We got upgraded to a bungalow, which was nice. The room felt dated and a little run down. Otherwise everything was fine.
- 4/5
Restaurant was so convenient, delicious and we received great service. Looking forward to our next stay!
- 5/5
Stayed for a week. Just an outstanding experience all around. Loved having the beautiful Sacramento River right on the property.
- 4/5
We love the location, and stay here often.
- 4/5
The property is pet friendly, the hot tub needs a little maintenance but overall it was okay.
- 3/5
Room was clean but the hotel could use several upgrades.
- 1/5
The room we got had a huge blood stain on it all over the curtains. They switched this room, but I should ask for a refund back.
- 2/5
The room reserved was unavailable. The
- 4/5
Office staff is very welcoming, room was very clean. The outside landscaping is beautiful to walk through, even in the rainy weather. We would like to visit again when the sun is shining to do more extensive walks around the grounds and to the river.
- 5/5
Nice room, good staff.
- 2/5
Room was a disaster, check in was not good, staff at check in not knowledgeable of clean rooms, got locked out and blmed for it...Rhondavwas not working, unfortunately or it would have been an easy check in.
- 3/5
The rooms are totally beaten up at thisbpoint. The paint is chipped, the curtains are stained, the bathroon fixtures are in need of repair, or oarts are missing. When we checked in, they sent us to a dirty room. Then the keys didnt work in the evening, and the reception person blamed us for the door issues. The hotel is in desperate need of a refresh and a lot of maintenance!
- 5/5
Great time whenever I stay here. Don’t try to check in early though. The breakfast is a great addition
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet. I slept good and the staff was great. I had a wonderful breakfast at the restaurant.
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious and un working order.
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Nice rooms, great spa onsite and yummy restaurant! Loved having everything onsite !
- 5/5
Staff was so welcoming Hot Tub area was immaculate Grounds were clean and immaculate Just gorgeous I will be back
- 5/5
Beautiful place and the restaurant on site does a corkage fee if you have your own wine. Mike was an awesome bartender and I would go back just to have him serve me again
- 5/5
They are making lots of great improvements. This is our 3rd time staying in last year and it gets better each time.
- 4/5
staff was great...place was super nice
- 5/5
clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Value. Nice room and staff
- 1/5
It just had a creepy vibe this time we won’t go back
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay. It is clean, affordable, the rooms are spacious. The restaurant is fabulous and the ownership/ management really cares about their guests’ experience.
- 4/5
Nice staff and clean room.
- 4/5
Easy check in, staff was very friendly
- 4/5
The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The room was clean. The refrigerator in the room was a good size without a small freezer and the microwave was standard. There was a large desk area, which was great to put down bags and store items off the ground. We enjoyed walking around the property with well manicured grounds and fountains. It was too cold to enjoy the outside pool and hot tub but it looked upkept and would be nice in the warmer months. The fitness center appeared well maintained too. Overall it was a good experience. We would stay there again.
- 3/5
Hotel used to be really nice. Girls at check in were great. Servers were great Saturday morning. First room, sliding door don’t lock. Girls upgraded us. Nice room. Couch is disgusting and needs to be removed from 210. Stinks bad. The practice of leaving trash bags piled up under the stairs all day and night is trashy. Low class. Lazy. Staff in “lobby” didn’t know that breakfast was closed on Sunday. We checked out right around 6am. Girl in Lobby was complete rude. I seemed to have woke her up. She was totally annoyed that I was there. I asked about breakfast Sunday. Her response was “how am I supposed to know, I haven’t been here in a year and a half.” Hotel used to be great. Most of staff is great. Seems someone bought it that is out to just make a buck and not care about quality. Sad. Again. Little girls at check in Great! Both servers Saturday morning Great. Short hair girl at checkout. Terrible.

My husband and I arrived January 6th at your hotel to pure chaos. The entire lobby was under construction. One other guest was trying to check in but was told it was going to be a while. Your wifi system was down not allowing to make room keys. We were finally able to get our room number, and was told to walk to our room and the maintenance man would let us in. We were let in and told our room keys would be delivered soon. Room keys never arrived, which made us not be able to leave our room. No communication was made to us. The room looked nice inside, yet we were disappointed on closer inspection. Black mold was throughout the roof of the bathroom. The water never got hot in the shower, it was just above cold water. The thermostat mounted on the wall did not function. Had to use controls on the heating unit. The restaurant was closed, poor breakfeast options provided. Room coffee only provided one regular and 2 decaf which was disappointing. Is this the typical guest experience? I do want to compliment the woman working the night shift and the morning shift woman because they were both apologetic and very professional. I was told the manager would reach out to me but never did.
- 2/5
Moldy, corroded shower heads,
- 4/5
Comfortable mattress, clean place - I would stay again. Unfortunately we stayed there b/c we wanted a place with a restaurant but it was under construction - these notes should be included on the hotel details. The workout room was also pretty boring - there were no sanitizer wipes or gel. The bikes functions didn't work right.
- 4/5
Our first room looked like it was under renovation. No art on the walls, fridge didn’t work, sliding door was unlocked upon arrival. We were moved to another room upstairs that was as expected. The lighting in the room and bathroom was terrible. The room was dark and drafty. The toilet made a weird noise every few seconds and kept us awake at night. Overall the staff was amazing.
- 1/5
The bathroom had mold all over the shower walls and ceiling, they offered free breakfast after we were already getting free breakfast and to switch our rooms but we were already unpacked before noticing so I guess that’s on us. the iPod charging dock didn’t work and couldn’t reset the clock so the alarm went off in the middle of the night waking my baby. The floors were less than clean. For the price… I guess you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Clean
- 2/5
Room wasn’t ready when I got to it so they switched my room and put me in a double bed when I reserved a king. There was hair all over the shower walls. It smelled like pee and there was stains all over the carpet
- 3/5
The price was good and this was very last minute just for a place to sleep, so ok manageable. If I was coming for a spa weekend this would be not relaxing. I had driven by for year and was disappointed.
- 5/5
Its a beautiful hotel and resort. I have stayed twice as a stop over on the way to and from Oregon. Its right off the freeway. Rooms are clean and spacious. Beautiful ponds and fire pits. I think there might be views but both times I was there it was foggy and rainy.
- 2/5
I have stayed at Gaia at least once a year for the past 10+ years. It is always clean and comfortable. Last night didn’t live up to what I e come to expect. The room smelled like cat urine. There was no additional furniture in the room besides the bed.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
Rooms were spacious and comfy. Staff was very friendly and accommodating even with our service dog. Only downfall is that there are no elevators in the buildings. Sucks for people with disabilities, small children and loads to carry.
- 5/5
Large clean room friendly staff quick check in discount on breakfast
- 4/5
It’s priced correctly. The grounds are pretty and the beds are clean and comfortable, but the bathrooms are in need of renovation. Quite old and dang.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel
- 5/5
It was the second stay here. I had reserved a room on the lagoon but got an outside room however I arrived late so I wasn't surprised this happened. The staff were friendly.and helpful. The restaurant was convenient. The food was decent. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. I will stay again.
- 5/5
Yes it was definitely delicious. I only wish that they would serve breakfast untill 10:30am for those of us that were kept up by a person in the next room that plays loud music from 3 am to 6am this happened on the night of 28 th of December 2025 and kept us awake . I think that Guests that disregarded of other guests peace and quiet should not be allowed to stay again at the Gaia Resort and spa in ,Anderson ca.
- 4/5
Gaia is in a great location. The grounds are beautiful. Service was good. Some exterior features- like walkways could use a facelift.
- 5/5
Nice room and services !

- 5/5
Clean spacious room for a good price. Very helpful friendly staff.
- 5/5
Welcoming staff, clean room, quiet and peaceful
- 5/5
Clean with comfy bed and pillows!
- 4/5
Love the stucco look, the dog space, breakfast was standard, nothing special. I would go there again. It’s farther off highway then I expected.
- 4/5
First-floor patios are wonderful.
- 5/5
Very nice clean room and friendly staff.
- 2/5
I ordered food from the restaurant. I walked in first to the restaurant but after being ignored and waiting for 15 minutes decided to call in instead. Salad was good but over priced. Unfortunately, due to the storm and flooding I didn’t want to drive out. Will not be staying there again.
- 4/5
The room had 2 very comfortable beds and lots of pillow
- 5/5
Always a nice place to stay. Large room was clean and everything worked, showing good property maintenance 👍. Check-in staff were helpful and friendly. We’ve been coming here since it was new and it is well taken care of. Good halfway stop between Seattle and Los Angeles!
- 5/5
Awesome grounds. Lots of outdoor walks for kids and dogs.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel, rooms were clean, big and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again next time I’m traveling through Redding!!
- 2/5
The staff was great and the beds were comfortable, but the door to the room was ajar when we arrived, the sliding door to the patio was also unlocked and the bathtub did not drain properly… It's felt a little gnarly
- 5/5
Staff very friendly
- 3/5
It could be so much better!
- 5/5
Room was great staff very friendly and very helpful. Best ever !!
- 5/5
Good food at the restaurant and awesome relaxation.
- 5/5
That’s all, we will stay there again.
- 5/5
There was a restaurant on site that was very good. I was glad to have a restaurant there so I didn't have to drive at night - particularly because it was very foggy during my stay. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean and spacious, the property is beautiful, and the staff were all very courteous.
- 4/5
The staff are all friendly and courteous. The area is beautifully landscaped! The room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable and plenty of hot water in the morning. Good design having the type of lighting in bathroom, very low level nightlight inside the actual ceiling light which comes on when the light is off! No stubbed toes at night, thank goodness!
- 5/5
Excellent customer service! Clean room, nice peaceful views. Definitely staying again!
- 5/5
Best place I’ve ever stayed at
- 5/5
Large well proportioned rooms that are very clean. A lot have patios. Very friendly and easy check in. Nice atmosphere will try restaurant on my return journey.
- 5/5
The young lady who checked us in (Ariana?) was so kind and helpful. We appreciated the hot chocolate in the lobby.
- 5/5
Pet friendly great overnight spot driving from LA-Portland
- 5/5
The grounds were beautiful, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Couldn’t ask for much more!
- 2/5
Couldn’t tell if the room carpet was just old or dirty. Very outdated, needs repairs and paint. Comfortable bed was the only good thing. Would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Our only complain is that there was no coffee at 10:30am when we were checking out. We waited 15 minutes but the lady at the front desk was very busy
- 5/5
All was great
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Very dog friendly. 100% recommend!
- 3/5
Room was ok. Carpet looks over 15 yrs old & needs replacement. Shower head needs replacement too . Glad the heater worked.
- 3/5
Unfortunately the rooms are showing their age and ownership isn't doing any upgrades. The carpets were real dusty in the corners, carpets are dirty, the box springs and mattress were ew. I really love it there but even with the rooms being affordable, without some upgrades and better cleaning, we will not be staying anymore.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent. Friendly staff/environment. Clean facility. Perfect location. Looking forward to returning to enjoy amenities when weather allows.
- 4/5
Room was spacious and clean. Way in the back and first night it sounded like large furniture being dropped. Receptionist very sweet and helpful. Cleaners were very helpful, sweet and gracious.
- 4/5
Clean room, courteous staff.
- 5/5
Courteous staff, nice clean room
- 2/5
The room was basic wipe down, not clean, the furniture damaged, the bed not comfy to sit in, no elevator, no room service, the hot rub bubbles not working, cleaning crew laoid and mid morm, the ice machine gross, the coffee machine for 1 tiny cup, coffee was like crayon water, for the quality pricemuch to
- 5/5
Staff is accommodating and rooms are always nice. Would stay again.
- 2/5
The fridge started to make a horrible sound around 1am and got worse every second, had to get up and unplug it there was no phone so we could call the from desk, then the heater went out and could not turn back on
- 5/5
Our stay exceeded all expectations from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. We have made this our getaway spot.
- 5/5
Beautiful, nice and serene setting. I loved being able to open the patio door and be surrounded by fountains and greenery.
- 1/5
But
- 5/5
Love that it’s truly pet friendly and doesn’t charge per pet per night. The hotel was super nice inside and out! The kids loved the ponds. We will definitely stay again. Next time we might try the breakfast too. I wish they gave coupons for lunch or dinner, and not just breakfast. We’re not a big breakfast family.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and room accommodations were comfortable
- 5/5
The grounds were gorgeous lots of fun for the little one to walk around beautiful fountain and hot rock area to sit around

Great staff at check-in
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfortable, the grounds were beautiful. Staff and restaurant service excellent
- 5/5
We would definitely go back.
- 5/5
It was fresh and well prepped.
- 5/5
Staff was great! And price was perfect for a one night stop over. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful!
- 5/5
Adorable stay !! Loved the layout, hot tub access and room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was a great deal and delicious before getting back on the road. Perfect for if you’re traveling through an need some rest.
- 5/5
Large room and very neat. Not noisy and there was a restaurant we could eat at. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Nice place to stay and reasonable price
- 5/5
I'll be back.
- 5/5
Spotless facilities and great staff.
- 2/5
Everything was fine until we turned the heater on and the room filled with a urine smell. But it was a decent hotel other than that.
- 4/5
None
- 5/5
Everything in every way was perfect 🌻🎃
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable room. Access to the room was not the most convenient. It would be a great spot for a longer stay but as an overnight stop much of the amenities were wasted.
- 4/5
Clean rooms. Nice beds and showers.
- 5/5
Great experience as usual 😁
- 1/5
This was my worst hotel experience. I contacted the property 4 times before check in and at check in to confirm a crib and was told several times it should be ok. After checking in, it wasn’t in the room, so I called down to request more bath towels and inquire about the crib and was told “I’ll see if housekeeping has one.” We just dropped our stuff off in the room and went to go meet up with our family, so when we were about to head back to the hotel I called again to confirm the crib and was told they are sold out and housekeeping doesn’t have one. I was told multiple times it shouldn’t be an issue, so I got irritated. I then confirmed the bath towels were delivered to the room and was told “yes someone should’ve delivered those already.” Get back to the hotel and no towels were delivered. As we’re waiting for the towels to be delivered, my husband lays down with our baby and the bed completely sinks in and almost flips over on top of them!! At this point I’m beyond done and frustrated and went to the front desk to request a room change to which I was immediately cut off and said they were sold out for the night and that they would send maintenance in the room to see if he can try to fix it for the night and then they can circle back in the morning with a better solution (this was at 10:30PM). After some back and forth the property manager was able to put us in a different room, but of course gave us keys to a wrong room during the room move. Terrible TERRIBLE experience.
- 5/5
It’s a beautiful property … it’s our go to stop when traveling thru California.
- 5/5
Very clean, attentive staff, property is well upkept has a luxury feel to it and reasonably priced. my massage was good and my son loved the s'mores they offer for the fire pits. Our dog had a blast too. Family friendly definitely coming back
- 5/5
Clean room beautiful landscape fountain great restaurant
- 5/5
You took advantage of the spa and got a massage. It was wonderful. Very good value if you're traveling through. Less expensive rooms are not on the ponds or river. the spa sets by the river very nice atmosphere. The rooms by the river are more expensive but if you're staying more than one night it might be worthwhile.
- 5/5
Beautiful grounds
- 4/5
No free breakfast. Expensive restaurant on-site. Fish & chips: $25. No slaw or salad.
- 4/5
It was pretty but carpets need to be cleaned
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel the amenities were great. The heater didn’t work so good but other than that, it was perfect. The Woodside Grill on site was delicious fish tacos A1.
- 3/5
If motel 6 had a spa, this would be it. Not bad, but the absolute bare minimum. What do you expect for the price through. Just stop calling it a spa.
- 4/5
Safe location. The grounds were pretty and a nice walk.
- 4/5
Close to stores and gas station ….beautiful property at night. Parking is tight….spaces all around property but may be a walk to your room.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
The staff was great, waiters and cleaners. The place is very pretty, with areas to walk in and plants abounding. The Sacramento River is right there, at a three-minute walk from the main reception area. I didn’t have a chance to use the spa.
- 3/5
Room was clean, but the carpets were dingy. Grounds and planter beds were nice (in the middle of being upgraded), had to ask for towel replacement at 4 in the afternoon since housekeeping had not been to our room yet. We forgot a simple item that the front desk said they ran out of which was disappointing. We were happy we got a good deal on the room - made snafoo's bearable. The attached restaurant was out of decaf coffee one day, coffee maker broke the second day - so no decaf.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 3/5
On the positive side, the staff remained helpful and friendly throughout our stay, and the price-to-quality ratio was good for what we paid. While the hotel has potential once renovations are complete, just be aware you might get an unrenovated room. Overall, fair value for the price.
- 4/5
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms and well kept property. It has a fire pit, fitness center, spa, restaurant, and it’s by the river.
- 5/5
Nice and quiet, beautiful surroundings
- 5/5
Friendly staff and a pretty cool place overall. I'd stay again.
- 5/5
Pet friendly
- 4/5
The grounds and spa were lovely, but awfully close to the freeway so a little noisy. Rooms were clean but nothing spectacular. The staff were very kind and professional. My friend and I got massages and Holly was fantastic!
- 4/5
Room was clean, nice view of the lagoon. Noise level with the neighbor doors slamming shut was off putting, but was fine once everyone went to bed after 11:00pm.
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
Nice restaurant onsite. Nice staff and lobby. The refrigerator was broken but was dealt with once I reported it. Price was reasonable.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful, the room was spacious and clean and the views were great.
- 5/5
Large cozy room
- 4/5
Nice place. Will stay there again.
- 5/5
Great stay for the price! Quiet and easy access to the freeway.
- 3/5
Building's at property poorly lighter, hard to find right bldgs and parking
- 4/5
The aluminum pane windows were worthless for blocking out the freeway noise.
- 3/5
No we had two rooms for two nights tvs worked when we arrived then appeared to be not working all day Saturday and Sunday. It appeared it was just our two rooms they were to busy to fix it due to an event happening that evening. There was virtually not enough parking near rooms as well.
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
It was nice and inexpensive for the level of quality. Restaurant next door was pricey.
- 4/5
Had wonderful massage. Restaurant and bar was always good
- 4/5
Only distraction was a low, constant motor noise in our room 246, maybe nearby fan ran all night disturbing my wife’s sleep.
- 5/5
Really super friendly staff and wonderful grounds— great bar and restaurant and right in the gorgeous portion of the river.
- 4/5
Grounds are serene and unexpected, bed was super comfy, Peet’s coffee was excellent in the lobby and at adjacent Woodside Grill (and the breakfast burrito was outstanding!), with easy access to I-5.
- 5/5
I stay here when ever I'm in the area. I'm never disappointed. This is a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Nice rooms, clean and very quiet. Woodside grill on property served good food and eliminated the need to go elsewhere. Staff was very nice. Pool and hot tub in good condition.
- 5/5
Check-in was incredibly easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility is absolutely beautiful and clean.
- 5/5
Ah great stay, all went well
- 3/5
The outside grounds look nice but the rooms need major renovation and repairs. The carpet is dirty the walls need new paint and overall the interior space is run down. The staff however were quite nice.
- 5/5
Great food option on site
- 4/5
Pet friendly and clean, location was great.
- 3/5
The property presents very nicely, and the staff was very nice, but outside my room there were large garbage bags under the stairs just laying there and remained there for my overnight visit, upon entering my room, the air was soaked with Fabreze, perhaps to cover up smoke. I chose to eat food I brought with me, I didn't want to eat in bed and sat in the desk chair watching tv with no side table so it was very uncomfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the walk in shower and bathroom was very nice.
- 5/5
Nice quiet place by the Sacramento River. Beautiful grounds and loved the environmental design and landscaping. A very pleasant place to stay close to the freeway but far enough away so you don’t hear freeway traffic.
- 4/5
We used to stay here often but stopped a few years ago as it was getting so run down. Such a convenient location for our return home from LA, decided to give it another try. Glad we did! It is much improved. Comfortable bed, nice amenities. And the staff was very agreeable when we asked for a room change due to the two barking dogs in the room next to us. Thank you for that!
- 1/5
Dirty
- 3/5
The door to the room did not open and close properly. One of the lights didn’t work and it was very difficult to understand how the shower worked. Even with a sticker giving instructions it still was unclear. Why choose a unique shower for guests to not know how to use? Otherwise it was quiet and the room was big and comfortable.
- 5/5
This hotel was a very nice find for a one night stay. Nice rooms, lovely setting around two ponds, and also walking distance to the bank of the Sac river. Interesting layout of the buildings - each circular with a planting area in the middle. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious and quiet and cool. I can recommend this reasonably priced yet lovely hotel.
- 5/5
Place is awesome people were cool as hell . I definitely will be staying again!
- 5/5
I liked the landscaping. The restaurant was very nice for both dinner and breakfast. The pool looked inviting although we did not use it.
- 4/5
The restaurant was conveniently located & the servers were great!
- 5/5
Everyone was great.
- 4/5
It was as advertised, easy access to the freeway, quiet and clean
- 5/5
What a fun and unique gem. Food and service were great! Owner is hands on and working hard to revamp the property. We will go again!
- 5/5
When it finally cooled down outside we enjoyed the walk along the river.
- 4/5
This property was unique and not your average hotel. The property is spaced out well and is well marked. The young lady at the front desk was so welcoming and sweet! The room was clean but smelled musty and kind of cold(little decor made it feel cold which was the opposite of how the property and front desk seemed). I do think I would stay here again to give it another try.
- 5/5
Gorgeous grounds. I was only here for one night but I’d love to come back soon!
- 5/5
Great place on/off the highway, food is great
- 4/5
No parking
- 5/5
Quiet and cozy bed
- 4/5
I’m in 103, nice. Enjoying our stay.
- 4/5
We stay at the Gaia when we visit our kids. The people that work there are all wonderful, I am especially fond of Rhonda. The hotel is just in need of bei g updated. The plumbi g ALWAYS has something wrong, the rooms are VERY dark, along with the bathrooms...women need light in bathrooms!
- 4/5
The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. Construction at site for upgrading of facility was expected but began early in morning (to offset heat). Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
We will be staying here again in the future. The hotel staff was friendly and fast at checkin. Housekeeping came everyday we were there and made the bed/ cleaned the room. The room looked like it was newly renovated. The grounds were nicely manicured. You can walk right down to the Sacramento River from the hotel. While they didn’t have breakfast included their restaurant was very nice and they gave a 25% off coupon to use for breakfast everyday of our trip. It’s off the highway and only 10min from downtown Redding but very safe.
- 5/5
The environment.....near the river.
- 4/5
Only take away for cleanliness was walls had something on them like dirt and some kind of liquid was spilt on one of the walls Shower head pressure was like half
- 5/5
Every beautiful and clean property.
- 4/5
Pool was very nice! Outside the hotel is beautiful. Bee issues in the wood outside rooms, but they left us alone. Overall was very clean and the room smelled nice.
- 5/5
Nice place and price.
- 5/5
Spacious room and very clean. Book a room by lagoon.
- 3/5
What was really a disappointment was their change from a continental breakfast to a discount at the restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, this restaurant has always been very good, but the value for money has changed a lot when you add the cost of a restaurant meal for two. There is nothing you can walk to as an alternative either, although Anderson proper is only one exit down.
- 5/5
This is a very pleasant hotel. The landscaping and proximity to the river are lovely. The restaurant was pretty good and the room was very quiet and comfortable.
- 3/5
The property was nice, the room clean. No phone in room, bathroom light only on when fan is on and poor lighting. No elevator and I was on 2nd floor, am 80 years old had to take my luggage upstairs. I personally will not stay again.
- 5/5
Que si es de perritos porque los vecinos se molestan
- 5/5
I will truly return. Super comfy bed and large room The rib dinner was to die for!
- 5/5
Comfy and spacious beds. There is a restaurant connected to The hotel for dining options and a McDonald’s 5 minutes down the road. Easy access to freeways too
- 3/5
You get what you pay for. Odd shaped room that was sparse but clean. However the bathroom was awful the shower bath combo needs to be gutted and replaced.
- 5/5
Quick and easy check in. Room was spacious and immaculate. Easy on and off freeway.
- 4/5
The only problem I had was the hot water faucet leaked when it was turned on and the shower head connection leaked where it connected to the pipe. Otherwise everything was fine.
- 5/5
Nice, peaceful & fun! Rooms are big & luxurious. Grounds are landscaped beautifully. Sitting areas outside including fire pit. Swimming pool & hot tub. I used this location as a base for day trips to Lassen, Shasta & Alturas.
- 5/5
Clean, easy access to freeway, very friendly staff, lovely setting and restaurant had great food. Restaurant staff was really good.
- 5/5
The hotel was really nice. The pool was clean and decent. The weight room had free weights available and was really clean. The rooms were spacious and clean. The property was clean and very relaxing. I would highly recommend
- 4/5
The property was great and the staff was great. The other customers were less
- 5/5
Excellent staff, fun stay!
- 4/5
Dinner was amazing!! We shared the burger and the short ribs, bomb 💣, seriously! The beds are a little older but comfortable and the pillows are ok, bring your own if you are picky. Over all, I love it there AND if you get a chance you can go to living water spa that is, on site and have Makalya (spelling?) give you a massage, she is magical!
- 4/5
Great stay, drove down from Los Angeles to Washington and it was a great stay easy parking, check in and safe for the kids.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here and we plan on returning. The beds were comfy and the property was really nice. The lagoon was pretty and we loved being so close to the Sacramento River.
- 5/5
Staff was accommodating, very nice restaurant on the property. Pool and hot tub were nice and they have an outdoor seating area with fire pits that you can use all night string lights throughout the property gave it a nice ambience.
- 2/5
We stay here, because we have family in the area. But, this stay was uncomfortable, because of a rude and unfriendly employee. We were locked out of our room. We went to the lobby get a different card key and it also didn't work. Then this employee forced us to move rooms. We had to move to another room clear across the complex. I was told at check in and over the phone that we would be able to stay in the same room even though it was two separate reservations. I had to stay an extra night because of my parent's funeral arrangements. I was hot, tired and sad! This employee was not at all empathetic and unaccomidating.
- 5/5
We LOVED our stay and will be making plans on returning! The staff are extremely helpful, the grounds are peaceful and relaxing. We loved the river and the water flowing fountains. The connecting restaurant WOOD GRILL was AMAZING!! The staff were friendly and the meals were delicious, we were very impressed.
- 3/5
It’s ok for the price. Of course everything looks much nicer in pics.
- 4/5
Other than that is was heaven.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times. Love the peaceful nature of the property and being right on the Sacramento River. They are constantly doing upgrades to the rooms and landscaping, and it looks wonderful. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean. Will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Beautiful
- 4/5
Beautiful property and a unique design. Beds were comfy and area is clean.
- 4/5
There were nice grass areas and large pond. Pool area and restaurant were goodm Liked the patio and room. Just could have had a better mattress. (was a bit lumpy) Could be challenging to carry luggage to room if close parking space not available. (I got the laat space that was close).
- 5/5
Love staying here anytime we drive thru
- 3/5
Food was good but the phones were out so couldn’t order my to go ahead of time and was still out in the morning. Luckily the WiFi did start working again. But the ice machine wasn’t working in the pod I was in so I had to go find ice in another area. Small inconveniences.
- 3/5
The room itself was very clean. However, the ceiling in the bathroom was full of black mold coming through.
- 4/5
We only stayed at the property for about six hours. It was just a stop along the way to go home. But the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the gentleman who greeted us at the front desk was very nice. It was worth the six hours that we spent there.
- 5/5
It’s was quiet. Clean and the staff were top of the line. The restaurant was immaculate. Planning my next stay again.
- 5/5
We enjoyed this hotel in every way. The grounds were very nicely landscaped. The room was large and comfortable with a huge picture window. The restaurant was also very good. Unique!
- 4/5
Older property. Lightning in bathroom needed to be fixed.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, in the hotel and also the restaurant!

Pleasant stay. Good condition. By the river
- 5/5
No thanks
- 5/5
Nice hotel and grounds.
- 5/5
Great location and nearness to our relativess
- 5/5
On the Sacramento River… walk to back of property to view it. Along the way a creek with Lilly pads and Cat tails. Love the ambiance of the property and it’s being worked on still. Dinner at their restaurant was excellent! We had short rib & creamed polenta
- 2/5
We checked in at 10:30 PM after a 5-hour drive, exhausted and just needing rest. Instead, we walked into a room that was clearly under construction — no sink area was incomplete, refrigerator was missing (which we had specifically booked), and unfinished fixtures. Even the staff admitted the room shouldn’t have been rented out. We paid $130 and were handed a $15 breakfast coupon as compensation. That felt like a slap in the face. While the hotel premises were clean and generally well-kept, that does not make up for the fact that we were placed in a non-functional room. This was not the level of care or service we expected. I hope the management takes better responsibility in the future to ensure that only ready and properly equipped rooms are offered to guests.Totally unfair and disappointing.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel and clean. Will come again
- 3/5
Super friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, pet friendly. Only negative is the pet friendly room I stayed in had a faint smell of pet urine. It might just be my extra sensitive sense of smell.
- 4/5
This is a solid 4 star hotel. I would have given it 5 stars but we had an issue with communication. It is a good value hotel. Needs to be renovated but was clean and the A/C was great in the 100 degree heat.
- 5/5
Great setting and extremely comfortable rooms
- 3/5
The property grounds were well kept and really pretty. But the room was dingy, dark and dated. The bathroom sink was leaky and the wall near shower was moldy. Headboard was dingy and the room needed updates. Restaurant was excellent and staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Perfect location. Spacious rooms and excellent restaurant.
- 5/5
The staff, particularly Ashley, were very welcoming and made our brief stay memorable. We will return😊
- 5/5
Quite a little oasis along the Sacramento river. Room large and clean. On site restaurant fabulous, great food and super wine at good prices. Chef Josh and bar/waiter Nathan did their absolute best!! Highly recommend!!
- 5/5
Clean rooms and a fun view of the river
- 3/5
Was nice but could use a update in rooms
- 5/5
Great property and the adjacent restaurant is always good.
- 2/5
room duty
- 2/5
This hotel had rude staff in the restaurant. Desk were not polite to check on an issue. Glass cup was dirty and filled with faucet water in restaurant. The conditioner dispenser was clogged.
