The room, refrigerator, microwave and toilet was very clean. The staff was very helpful and gave me ice when machine didn't work. You have to ask in the office for another towel. They only put 3 in the room, but they will give you another, all you need to do is ask. The juice machine in the lobby was not working. Would have been a nice thing to have as half of our party didn't drink coffee. But that's nothing. Loved the room so all was good. Thanks Route 66 Inn!!

It seemed like a sketchy neighborhood but I never felt unsafe. The room was clean and extremely quiet. The owners maintain the property themselves and they very hospitable and helpful.

Perfect spot to stay when you just need to rest and want something clean and safe. Nothing fancy but I appreciated the cleanliness, being able to park right in front of our room and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

What a nice surprise! It’s in a run-down part of town and NOT on historic 66 as the name implies. We almost didn’t check in. The “lobby” was a little dicey. But our room was sparkling clean, had everything we needed and was quiet in spite of being right on the road. Perfect for a quick overnight.

Perfect place to stay. Great bargain. Old school independent motel. Would stay again.

If you don't mind the noisy burner cars ripping through and emergency sirens every so often (and maybe an incidental cricket in the bathroom) this place is a great stop. Clean, spacious and recently renovated, I found it convenient to have the car parked right outside the room as well. Would def stay again.

A really great value and an historic place to stay. It is a little loud but they do everything possible to make it comfortable.

It was a classic Route 66 motel. The room was very clean and the AC worked great. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. We parked right in front of our door. Don't judge the book by the cover, I'm sure that the outside will be updated soon. I'd definitely stay again. Stayed overnight to catch an early flight. Oh, eat at the Braums just up the street, delicious ice cream sundaes!

Route 66 Inn, what a great stop! A true Rt 66 treasure. Our room was spacious, clean, friendly staff. Area was very safe and clean.. we’d give it a 10 of 10.

The room was great! Bed was very comfortable and the linens were very nice. Parking was tight, but we were in a big truck. Ice macine wasn't working, but staff gave us ice from the office. Very accomodating.

Really good, well-run motel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable with everything in good working order. Parking seems very safe (your car is right outside your room). The single downside is there are a few barking dogs in the neighborhood – obviously not the hotel’s fault. It is only occasional, though, and not a dealbreaker. I liked staying here and would definitely stay again.

It was very nostalgic. The place looked just like the motels I stayed in over 60 years ago! Rooms were well maintained and clean. The AC was a little noisy. But that was the way they were.

The room was super clean and well appointed. My only negatives were that the bed was uncomfortably firm and there needed to be a TV channel list. The TV remote would not change volume and would not pull up a channel guide, so it was impossible to find anything.

Unfortunately we had a car accident in Dallas and couldn’t make it to Amarillo. I messaged the property letting then know of our accident. It was after our cancellation window. I believe they may give some refund on the stay. I hope to get back to Amarillo in a few months and definitely will stay at Route 66.

We didn’t stay!! The owner eventually gave us a partial refund of $41 even though we didn’t use the room just opened the door, We wished we hadn’t as that cost us $46 just to find out it was as grim as we expected!

The refrigeration freezer tray had some grey mold and what it looked like to be a feather in it too. You can tell the renovations were not done quite well. There were huge gaps near the electrical outlet by the closet area, possibly where spiders are coming in from. The inn staff were friendly but the room was not comfortable to sleep in.

The soap dispenser in the shower was empty on side. Also, the shower base gets extremely slippery when wet. I believe they need to put in some tape. I did not have much interaction with the staff. What I did have was good though.

It is in an older part of town tgat is more industrial. It is close to the Big Texan which was a plus so we could check in while we waited for our table. The front desk check in was easy and efficient.. The room was cool and had huge beds with soft blankets and pillows with cool sheets. We slept amazing in these super comfortable beds. We will definitely stay here again!

The iconic route 66 motel in Amarillo was a wonderful experience to spend the night in route from Dallas to Westcliffe Colorado. It’s recently renovated outside, cleanliness, bare-bones, but very adequate inside, good beds, and fine housekeeping help as well so it’s on the front desk. Made it a memorable stay I should be back. That’s especially true for the annual hundred celebration of route 66 during the summer of 2025. Keep up the good work and pass the word for a very reasonable place to stay

Our travel plans changed mid drive and we picked this place due to price and rating. While the area is more industrial, the complex was very clean. The gentlemen at the front desk were so nice. I asked for food recommendations and the sent us to a local Thai place. The best food there. The rooms were very clean, the beds were so com. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice stay. Second time staying here, and both have been comfortable and very affordable. This hotel is often one of the cheapest stays, but quality holds up to many of the more expensive places.

One of my favorite stays in a while. Less than half the price of a Holiday Inn Express and just as nice inside. Also has a bit of character, unlike a Holiday Inn.

No room complainst at all! Breakfast was pretty much non existant. Disappointing. Appeared all the rooms were being remodeled so a bit messy around the property. Staff was not at all friendly.

I'm always wary when I decide to stay at an independent motel. However I was pleasantly surprised, the room was clean and smelled good. It was very quiet, we stayed in a room "around back" and couldn't hear any road noise. We slept well, the bed was very firm, there were 3 pillows and the blankets were thick and nice. Fairly recently remodeled.

Can' remember - hard to do on a long road trip. However if there had been anything wrong I would remember.

We had a good overnight stay. The rooms were clean, even though they were a bit dated. The neighborhood is not a place I would walk alone. However, the property itself felt safe. The owners were very accommodating and were able to give us rooms next to each other, even with a last minute booking. It was perfect for a one night stay.
