Most impressive was the full fridge in the room. I was in a longer trip so I could refreeze my ice packs for my cooler and chill water for the next leg of the trip. The bed was crazy comfortable too.

The property has EV chargers which was convenient for me. But most of the time the charging spots were occupied by non EV vehicles. So I was unable to use the chargers. I wish the management can save those parking spots for EV vehicles

The location was great. The gentleman that checked us in seemed a little confused, dressed very sloppy. Not what you would expect from hotel staff. However when we checked out the next morning, the young lady was very professional and nice.

This hotel is not maintained. It appears to be a stay for construction workers who leave trash everywhere. The parking lot had broken bottles and was unmaintained. The gals at the front desk were awesome. Room furniture is in poor shape with burned out light bulbs.

Hallways smell like smoke. Rooms smell stale/mildewish. If we did not have someone who was not feeling well we would have found a different hotel. I picked this from past stays at the chain but could have selected others that were less expensive and nicer.

The property was dirty with black dirt on tub, the sheets appeared slept in with black stuff on them, the carpet was filthy, people smoking in common walkway areas, foul odor in the room, and the door to the room appeared someone had tried to break into with a large indentation that was attempted to be repaired. We requested another room and told none available. They would not refund our money. We were forced to leave and get a room in another hotel.

Everything from the reception staff to the room were perfect. The bed was very comfortable, my wife remarked it was the most comfortable hotel bed she had ever slept on. Room had everything needed. That we only spent one night in the room and couldn't take advantage of how comfortable it was.

Location was great, well off the highway so road noise wasn’t bad at all. Breakfast was packaged oatmeal. I don’t typically eat breakfast so this wasn’t a problem. Coffee was great!

Room was perfect size! There was the kitchenette and had everything we needed and then some! Plenty of room in the closet and lots of resources if they were needed; laundry basket, dishes, pots/pans,etc. Only thing that stood out was Furniture was a little worn on chairs. Other than that everything completely exceeded our expectations!

We have stayed in many Candlewood Inns across the country. This particular hotel was not very well kept as far as the structure. It was very clean, but had lots of wall and ceiling damage that had been poorly repaired. It was safe and quiet.

The closet door is directly behind the main door and there was a hole from the door handle of the main door just needs to have some kind of patch or plate put over it and the heavy Curtains above the air conditioner unit really needed to be washed to replaced.They were really lucky looking

It IS pet-friendly, just not clean non-smoker human friendly. We switched rooms several times and ALL the rooms smelled disgusting with smoke. Not sure how we ended up here a second time (probably the price), but eww, never again. Just pay a few bucks more and stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

We were only there one night. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. They are also pet friendly, which is a plus! There wasn’t a designated pet area, but plenty of space for our dog to find her “spot”.

It’s a nice hotel. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. The room had a few things that could be improved. For example, the hook behind the bathroom door was broken, the tub had some rust on the outside, and the closet door had a gash on the wood and paint. Overall it’s nice but those few things that are overlooked add up and can make the room not so desirable.

It was decently dirty throughout. And the shower was disgusting. Also, apparently Ronald McDonald and Cookie monster do the plumbing because the shower barely drains. I love showering with 8" of water around my ankles.

Hotel was conveniently located off the 40 freeway. Lots of choices for food close by. Perfect amount of space for our family of 4 and also allowed for privacy. Free laundry and on the go coffee. We enjoyed our stay in Amarillo very much. Rudy’s BBQ was in walking distance and worth the stop.

On the map it shows a named lake behind the hotel. It’s actually an ugly drainage ditch. But it could be improved, and a flock of Canadian geese liked it, as well as a feral cat community. I want to call the City of Amarillo to see if they know about that colony.

The one downside is that there is no continental breakfast and it is not close to restaurants that serve breakfast. There is free coffee and instant oatmeal but nothing suitable for a diabetic, for example. It would help if the little store had fruit or granola bars or something healthier to purchase.

Nicer than I expected

Booked the suite for family of 5 when we checked in was told our suite was not available would have been nice to know before I showed up. Got a smaller room bathroom door would not open or close all the way stuck on tile floor black long hair in shower and bed smelled like locker room

Dislike: Handles were loose.

They gave me 45 credit after toilet did not work, water faucet in kitchen did not work and shower curtain was too short to use shower. Room was nice- 2nd visit in two week trip. First visit no problemd.

Love the rooms. Travel with kids so they have their own space and we have our own space.

The King Suite was nice and roomy for two people. The bed was comfortable. The dining room table was not very sturdy. It could use some tightening up or replacement. We had to go to the lobby to get coffee in the morning. Even though there is a coffee pot in the room, coffee for it was not provided. The back entrance to the hotel/lobby was always unlocked, even though it says a key is required to enter. I felt this was a safety concern as anyone could enter the building at anytime. The location was great as there were many restaurants close by.

The check in process was easy. I booked 2 rooms and both were of equal condition. I really have no complaints about this hotel.

The room was perfect. My first night was quiet but my second night people were screaming down the hall and stomping in the room above me, no fault of the hotel. I did witness an employee get very upset and walk out cussing and quitting. Over all it was a very good experience. I will be back.
