The location is very good, close enough to Alexandria and to the beltway. The room was spacious and practical. The cleaning once a week is the bare minimum but for a single occupancy can be appropriate. I have been here several times throughout the years. The laundry was out of service one year ago and so it was this time. I guess that it is permanently out of service and that should have been specified in advance.

1. You HAVE TO REQUEST your room to be cleaned. It's not automatic. Not a big deal but they don't tell you this when you check in. 2. When I approached my room, there was eaten chicken and bones outside my door. 3. The bathtub is missing lining. 4. The bathroom lights flicker and after asking them to be replaced, they were not. 5. The room smelled like animal...or something weird. This is a 1-2 star motel and I should have expected as much. But needs a little TLC to be worth the price.

Convenient location:close to stores, restaurants, and hwy. I assumed it would be noisy but not at all. Staff was nice to accommodate my family who was on a walker and trouble with bedroom space but was change to another room and issue solved. Parking was not so bad.

Initially, when searching for a place to stay, for my MGM Casino experience, the website pictures were nothing like the room that I received. Upon arrival, the room smelled closed in, a little muggy and musky. After keeping the door open for a few, it became a bit better and was doable. While there, I noticed how rundown, cracked up the walls were, with taped doors. There was a non-clean, moldy cooling unit, in need of deep cleaning and renovations. The worst part of my stay were the roaches that were crawling around in the area where I ate, that I ended up killing, which made my stay really creepy, being on the lookout for these critters. It was not comfortable at that point and I couldn’t wait until I discharged. Never again at the red roof in Plus or whatever it’s called.

The plumbing is horrific.U can’t take a shower without water rising to your knees .Stains all over the sheets and mattress itself.The daytime front desk staff(Debbie)is rude and unprofessional.Many strangers wander around the property day and night which makes it feel very unsafe.Do not stay here.

My cousin's bed in our room was squeaky when she turned over (glad it wasn't my bed!)

On arrival at 1:35pm, I was charged an extra $33 for checking in before 2:00. The water pressure was non existent.

We always upgrade to the Premium rooms and they are fine. It was quiet and the staff was very accommodating. This is the second stay at this specific hotel and we will stay again. My only complaint is that the snack/treat is for one eg one bottle of water, and two people are in the room.

The check in process was very easy. We had room with fridge, tv and 2 bed. They were comfortable and big more than I wish. The bathroom was okay, perfect for 2 nights. The motel has loads of parking spot. I think this is a very good hotel I can recommend. I found some dirt in the corners but nothing serious.

Stayed there a night the room was so dirty. There was dust on all the surfaces and floor wasn’t property cleaned as well. The toilet flush was barely working and shower was soo slow too . Towels were dirty. Couldn’t sleep all night because of itchiness. Only good thing was that they had smart tv other than that it was awful.

Took forever for the hot water to work in the sink and a little black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. No freezer in the mini fridge. Extremely tiny coffee cups for morning coffee. But other than that, it was good. Extremely comfy bed, HOT shower, nice front desk staff and love the bedroom fan for sleeping as well as the bathroom fan to drown out any potential embarrassing restroom sounds.

My stay was comfortable and convenient overall. The location was great, the staff was friendly, and check-in was smooth. The room was clean and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. One thing I’d recommend to future travelers is to plan parking and nearby dining options ahead of time to make the trip even easier.

The room smelled of heavy smoke and towels had stains. There were dead bugs in the bathroom on the floor the floors were dirty overall. Looks like only the beds were done/made and everything else wasn’t. The beds were comfortable though, and I had no issues with check in or check out so overall for a budget that’s small it was expected. Just really couldn’t handle the smoke smell in a supposedly smoke free room, it was awful.

The first room I checked into smelled of marijuana so badly that I was afraid all my clothes would smell like it for my work event. I had to change rooms. But even so, there was so much marijuana smoking by guests I felt like I could not get away from the smell at all. Room service did not attend to my room at all while I was there. Not happy with the stay at all.

Really messy place, both in the room and general areas. Room cleaning needs to be requested, and this was unknown to me at check in. The carpet in the room was filthy. The AC panel broken and the washbasin faucet had no warm water. Overall, highly disappointing stay.

The room was not perfectly clean, but it was sufficient. The beds were comfortable. A/C was powerful. Water pressure could be better. No breakfast other than hot coffee but we knew that beforehand. At least it was readily available each morning. We had a pet and we appreciate not having to pay extra fees for it. They had the grassy area in the back dedicated for them too, but there was no poop bags provided. No big deal, we had our own. Parking was easy and there was more than enough. Location was top since it was close to good restos, store, and the metro. Even a Planet Fitness nearby. Overall, it was solid for the price. Also, shoutout to the staff. A young man (with a Sleep Token tattoo, I didn't get his name) helped and accommodated me after I had left some valuables in our room. Thank you for the kind assistance!

The front desk people were kind. We had a terrifying experience here this past Saturday night. As soon as we turned on the microwave, it started shooting flames and sparks. The front desk guy was nice and actually brought us a second microwave to swap it out, but when he tested it (just for 10 seconds), the exact same thing happened: more flames and sparks everywhere. It’s clearly a dangerous wiring issue in the wall and not just a bad microwave. It was too late to find another affordable spot so we ended up staying, but we had to unplug everything just to feel safe enough to sleep. This room is a literal fire trap until they get an electrician in there. Not worth the risk.

I stayed for two nights during which time, someone had peed in the elevator. I told the desk clerk about it and no one ever cleaned it up while I was there.

It was a good choice we had everything we needed and an elevator too. The premium plus room was better than I expected and parking was close so we didn’t have to lug our things. The snack packs were a bonus but I would suggest when there are 2 people in the room to give 2 snacks: one bottle of water and one package of Pringles in fact everything in the box was a single item !

The room is dirty and smells bad. Instead of staying there overnight, we decided to check out immediately. The bed sheets and pillow covers have bed bugs marked. The elevator smells like urine and they said that it is smoke free but while walking in the hallway, it smells marijuana.

I also found new items in the room, suggesting someone entered while I was out, which was alarming. I became ill with food poisoning and had to extend my stay; the front desk staff were kind and accommodating. Overall, the hotel is uninhabitable for the price. Front desk staff were excellent, but management clearly neglects cleanliness, maintenance, and health standards.

The facility claims that it has no smoking policy but people are smoking all around (inside and outside of rooms). This is my second time staying here. I come for the affordability and location. Each time staff moved me to a different room to get away from the smoke. It was better on 3rd floor but still smoky. The beds and the pillows are nice.

Dirty had to change room because it smelled like a dog due to the guest next door so the a dog that kept barking then put in another room that was not the cleanest but we made it work .. The room served its purpose, a quick rest before driving home from the airport. The bedding seemed clean, but the blanket had stains, the walls were dirty, and there was hair stuck to the bathroom door. It was 1:30 in the morning, so I didn’t ask for a new room. Very overpriced for a dirty room. The lobby did have lukewarm coffee.

On first blush, it was fine. But then when I turned in for the night, I could see the ("blood"??) stains on the walls. It looked like a crime scene hadn't been cleaned up. Then there was the hole in the bathroom door that was patched, but painted white instead of the off-white of the rest of the room. Kinda sketchy, but it was an ok stay.

Nice staff, but for a non-smoking hotel the lobby smelled overwhelmingly like weed. Room also had a musty odor. Bedding had some spots, and carpet was extremely dirty.

A lot of low class criminal-looking residents around whonstarted peeping inside our room as soon as we opened it. DON'T RENT THIS PLACE!

My room was clean and the hotel staff were nice and friendly. I also saw a met some adorable dogs. The hotel was listed as a 100% non smoking property but that was not my experience. The first room I was given smelled like smoke. I asked for another room and that smelled like smoke too. The third room I was given didn’t smell like smoke so I stayed there. The property itself also smelled like smoke, I saw other people smoking in the rooms. There was also trash around the property, the property itself was not well maintained.

when me and my son and fiancé arrived at the hotel , the whole 1st floor was completely full of mold and it was all over the walls and showers .. and it smelled completely moldy and disgusting! i wasn’t satisfied at all and the door next too us , the door was open and a lady was on the floor and walking around like it was really uncomfortable for us .

The room interiors were remodeled and the beds were fine. Management gets and F. They are severally under staff in house keeping. The wood floor in the units were dirty. White socks got dirty the first time I walked from the bed to the bathroom. No new toiletries. Used toiletries left behind from the previous occupants. The property grounds, parking lot, elevator, 2nd & 3rd floor balcony areas etc. all had trash that was there the entire 3 day/ 2 night stay. We didn't get towels until 10 PM at night and only after asking 4 times and going to pick them up. Door key cards didn't work. Had to keep making trips to the front desk every time we left the room. Management is very poor.

Most Red Roof Inns are pretty bare bones and “dives” and while this one did have a fridge and a microwave, it fell in line with the typical Red Roof Inn experience. While the rooms were non-smoking and signs were up to smoke at least 25 feet from the building. There were a number of people smoking right outside their doors and the overall stench outside was a mixture of smoke, trash, and urine. The elevator was equally foul in smell. Our room was pleasant compared to the outside but did have a hint of mildew. The AC was on constantly and loud but drowned out outside noise. The room was cooler than the 90 degree outside but the humidity level was quite high in the room and the room temperature felt warm despite constant AC. The AC control knob was broken and there was no way to make it turn to a different setting. The TV remotes didn’t work and it took a while to find the power button on the back of the TV. The three days we were there, we never received any room cleaning. Ice machine wasn’t working but finally did with half way into the stay. Overall, it was workable but definitely not a place I would highly recommend. Serves the purpose in a pinch but not a place I would want to spend a lot of time at.

I don’t really have a lot of opinion in one way or the other about this place. I did not like the water pressure in the shower, but otherwise really it was fine. I had a flight get canceled because of a storm so this was kind of a last-minute booking for me That was inexpensive and near the airport in Washington DC.

I can’t speak for the entire property as I haven’t physically gone room by room to see the conditions. As for my room, disgusting. I booked here after canceling a previous reservation due to my school paying for my stay. However, for 1 night my family and I needed a place until I could check in to my actual destination. Due to booking so close this place came up and was affordable if you will. Upon arrival they tell you no smoking in the rooms. Soon as we walked in the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The sheets were stained. There was absolutely no way my 1 yr old was sleeping there. We walked in and I immediately grabbed my phone to see who had a room available to accommodate us for the night. In under 25 mins we were checked in and checked out. Never again!!!

The room vibes feels like something from a bad horror movie. The wifi dropped more than it was connected. The pillows were like sleeping on bricks.

Stop patronizing Red Roof . It’s nasty

The room was dirty when we arrived.

The bed was wet and I had the most uncomfortable stay in my life from any other hotel. My whole body was itching. I prolly slept for 2 hours and left early morning for an 8 hour drive. The most unpleasant stay ever

The location was hard to get in and out. Traffic was horrendous. The room was in poor condition, including the air conditioning microwave, and the shower.

Hotel is in obvious need of renovation/updating. Had some issues with the room key working properly. Mini fridge and microwave were a bit beat up. Room and bathroom were clean and uncluttered, bed was freshly made. The shower amenities, shampoo and body soap weren't very good but served their purpose. Overall an okay experience. Hotel just needs renovated/updated, and it would be much better.

The room was nice and there was an area to walk my dog.

Black mold in bathroom. Damaged ceiling from wetness. Funky smell. I stayed there for 4 nights and not once was it cleaned during the day.

It's safe and quiet

Lots of sirens and some sketchy people. Extra shampoo is in a locked closet at the front desk. Do not recommend. Pay a little more and have more peace of mind.

Smell of pot was pervasive

The brook. or stream on the property. The elevator was filthy and had an odor of urine. The grounds were not kept clean. Lots of trash around the back of motel.

The atmosphere is not good. Not feel safe. Room is okay to stay for a night

Room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were accommodating when we asked to switch rooms upon checking in due to construction debris not cleaned in the room.

Disgusting and dingy! I am actually surprised this hotel gets good ratings! The room I was in you can tell was not cleaned properly. The pillows were beige in color (not white) and bedbug infested! I did not even sleep in the bed! This night was a nightmare, i requested a refund for my early check out. Beware! Attached is a dead bedbug i found in the room and i have a video of a live one on the bed right next to where I initially was laying ugh! Spend a little extra and go somewhere else you can be comfortable!

Not a lot of foot traffic and we felt safe. Plenty of near by places to eat as as well as exploring. The only thing I will note is me and my friends had two rooms and our toilet took forever to wanna flush and theirs wouldn’t flush at all. For the price, it was a good stay.

The lobby was clean, the front office staff was very friendly and quick. The beds, pillows and blankets/sheets were all clean and comfortable. The cleaning job of the room wasn’t great but average for this type of motel. We needed extra paper plates and plastic forks, the front office answered the phone promptly and they were able to accommodate our forgetfulness quickly. Overall - it was good!!

Clean

Great washer and dryer but only 1 each for the property. Had a minor booking issue that I apologized for but the front desk lady had an attitude and should learn some customer service skills especially when the tenant is spending so much money there.

Beds were hard to get comfortable in staff was kind and helpful though.

The room was in pretty good shape for the age of the hotel. My television didn't work and only one key card worked. I went to the front desk and discovered that several other guests were having a key card issue. I had both key cards rekeyed and let the associate know that my television didn't work. He said he would send someone up to fix it. That never happened. I spent 2 nights without the 35 HD Channels that were promised. When I checked out, the clerk said there was no adjustment she could make since I booked through Hotels.com.

Place is a dump..I wont be staying there, EVER again..the room was dirty and there was a group of motorcycle guys who were noisy af in the parking lot and the tv isnt even in hd..lesson learned, stay away from motels like this

Not a bad room-flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, decent bed, however the walls are paper thin. I should've known something was up with this location when the front desk clerk was enclosed behind glass. We returned from our concert about midnight, only to be rudely awakened at 4:00am by our neighbors screaming at the top of their lungs and throwing furniture! I tried taking care of the situation myself to no avail as the screaming continued. Next I called the front desk to report the neighbors, where the person said 'huh' and I'l try to call them. I could tell he really couldn't be bothered. Screaming and furniture throwing continued for what seemed like forever. This Red Roof is definitely NOT what I'd call a 'Plus'-no breakfast either. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RED ROOF.

No good place to stay

Don’t be fooled by the $100 “Superior Room” label—you get what you pay for, and in this case, even less. From the moment I entered, the room had a stale, damp odor that didn’t fully hit me until I stepped outside for fresh air. Both the sink and bathtub drained slowly, and the air conditioning shut off twice during the night. I eventually gave up and left it in fan-only mode just to get some airflow. The shower curtain rod was barely secured to the wall, there was hair left in the shower, and one of the elevators (the middle one) had a strong smell of urine. Worst of all, the noise throughout the night made it nearly impossible to get any rest. This stay missed the mark on cleanliness, maintenance, and basic comfort. I will not be returning.

It is fine for an overnight stay. Rooms need some fixing up. But hot water and ac , tv all work just fine.

The room was comfortable and quiet, and I didn't have issues there!

For the price the room was fine. The bathroom had a lingering smell, very musty. The bed was comfortable enough, the room was spacious and the AC worked great. Overall for $80 a night it was good enough.
