The contruction
- 4/5
Breakfast is excellent Didn’t know about the Construction while we was staying there !
- 5/5
All of the staff were friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and the fresh, hot breakfast every morning was great.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and location. Breakfast is wonderful. It will be nice when they finish all the construction.
- 4/5
They were renovating so the lobby was a mess, and the fridge in the room wasn’t cooling
- 3/5
The room was ok. The hotel was under renovation, with reception operating in front of a curtain, the pool was not inviting, the furniture im the breakfast area has split seats, and the seats were too low fir the tables. Once the workers started it became very noisy. The parking garage was poorly marked, with super tight spaces
- 5/5
Friendly professional staff and a great breakfast!
- 1/5
No free transport to the airport, different than other hotels. Had to use Uber. Downstairs is a mess.
- 5/5
Very nice place. Absolutely loved the room with balcony. Very convenient location directly next to the Metro station... thank you
- 3/5
Close to transportation. Perfect location Construction!!! Inside and outside of hotel
- 4/5
Location Nice staff Clean Can be a bit noisy Hallway carpets could use an upgrade
- 4/5
Very accessible atrached parking garage. The room had an unpleasant smell and the carpet was vaguely damp and sticky. The fold out bed was exceptionally uncomfortable even for a fold out couch as they are usually not the most comfortable; it was impossible to be confortable on this one. The bathroom was nice but a little ramshackle with no good place for the toilet paper holder, it was affixed in a strange location.
- 5/5
The property was in renovation mode during Memorial Day weekend. Management should have planned that better. Kudos to the staff for the moving around they have to deal with and still showing awesome customer service.
- 4/5
The in door pool was larger than expected. My daughter also enjoyed the glass elevators. The decor was a bit dated; however, it seems they were undergoing a lobby refresh while we were there.
- 3/5
The construction on the property really got in the way. No clear signage. Confusing
- 4/5
The hotel was nice but under renovations so a little hard to navigate. I thought there was free parking but there wasn’t. Not a deal breaker but I was surprised. Overall 4 out of 5
- 1/5
Hilton should have closed this location to undertake these major types of changes to the hotel verses subject their guests to this type of assault - and then charge us for it! Greedy is all I can say. We will NEVER stay at an Embassy Suites again - AWFUL. Am seriously tempted to give up my Gold status with Hilton after this experience if this is the way they are going to treat us. There are many other fine hotels to choose from in the world.
- 4/5
Outdated rooms but very comfortable. A little of construction being done that was a little annoying at times
- 1/5
They were working on the hotel. My suite seemed like it was from original construction outdated, frayed carpet and furniture, very little AC. Just not an enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
The complimentary breakfast was very nice as well as the staff who worked it. The overnight manager was fantastic! There was a school tour group staying on the 2 floors I stayed on and they were very loud and obnoxious however the night manager came up and handled the loud screaming, wall banging, running on floor, knocking on doors and running away, with such patience and class. The timing of the breakfast could have been longer. Being on vacation, my daughter and I like to sleep in however missed breakfast a couple of times. 6am-11am would be nice.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent ?
- 4/5
The breakfast was really good and the location is the best
- 5/5
The location was right across the street from the king street station. The breakfast was great and the happy hour after spending a long day in dc was great..
- 2/5
I expected so much more. Nothing special about this hotel. The worn furniture in the well used atrium lobby desperately needs upgrading. The breakfast and complimentary cocktail hour was a nice touch but expected from the brand.
- 4/5
Being that they are currently renovating it took away from the ambiance of the hotel. It is dated in many ways, I would expect more from the Hilton.
- 5/5
Clean room. Easy access to DC Metro! Breakfast was excellent!!
- 2.5/5
Location was great. Atrium space nice for Happy Hour and breakfast. The entire facility seems tired and worn out. Desperately needs an overhaul. Hot grill breakfast was fine but the cold breakfast (quicker) options did not seem particularly healthy. Always a line at the bar for HH.
- 4/5
Breakfast was delicious.
- 5/5
The girl was clean with great amenities. The included breakfast was a wonderful start to each day.
- 4/5
I felt the hotel itself was unique with the atrium being like a courtyard however rooms were outdated but in fairness someone said they were actively renovating. Their daily happy hour with two complimentary drinks per adult was lovely and then complimentary breakfast was great. Parking was a bit outrageous. $30+ per night in the garage for hotel guests yet max charge the garage could charge was $8. With the price of the room, we shouldn't be charged MORE for parking. All in all though, great place to say and good location
- 4.5/5
The location was fantastic! Staff were all kind and courteous. Rooms were suitable for our needs. Bartender was crazy fast! The happy hour was cool but I wish there was a better way to access it. The snacks were a very slow moving line.
- 5/5
The location across from the Metro was the biggest selling point. We used it daily to get back and forth to the city. When looking forward to using the hot tub after dinner, we found the door locked with no life guard available. We reported this to the main desk and the General Manager was immediately called. He bent over backwards to accommodate us and even called in a life guard from home to open the facility.
- 3/5
Microwave stopped working and refrigerator broke down as well. Staff did amend our bill to compensate for non-working appliances.
- 4.5/5
The buffalo wings. The swimming pool and spa. Breakfast sausage and bacon. The pool/fitness bathroom (shower) does not get warm. It stays cold.
- 4/5
Must parking space
- 4/5
The staff at the hotel were very helpful very nice. The breakfast was plentiful and very good and the room was pretty clean. The bathroom is pretty worn and does need some additional attention to the vanity area.
- 5/5
The room was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Nice clean room with good space. Lobby under renovations, but will be wonderful when done. Enjoyed evening reception and breakfast.
- 5/5
Overall a great weekend.
- 3/5
I stayed here to work but they didn’t share that the hotel was under construction. There was a loud screeching noise from 10am -5pm each day which forced me to leave. The room was nice, bed was comfy and staff was kind. Location is amazing, walking distance to all sorts of restaurants and old town.
- 5/5
Great amenities for a reasonable price. Great hotel!
- 5/5
Nice Nice
- 4.5/5
The food was cooked to order. The kitchen was clean and well organized. Everything was great.
- 5/5
Evening snacks good also.a nice balance of salty and sweet.
- 1/5
We had to call and cancel due to a family death. They never refunded our money like the hotel said they would!
- 3/5
Staff was nice; rooms okay; parking @$48 borderline; breakfast omelette good
- 5/5
excellent hotel! free cocktail hour and cooked to order breakfast. best feature across the street from king station metro and 25 minutes to space museum!
- 5/5
The staff were so friendly. I liked that I could get free bottled water in the mornings when I started my day. I loved the evening snack hour. Loved the breakfast. The hotel was immaculate. It was an incredible location. Being able to hop on the metro and go into DC and back was a huge plus.
- 5/5
The heating system did not make the room warm enough.
- 4/5
Great location, clean Checkin was problematic - assigned room with digital checkin was not ready by 4 which was checking time.
- 5/5
Close to train station
- 4/5
Everything felt comfortable and available
- 5/5
I stayed for 2 nights with my wife and 2 children. I had a very good experience. Check-in was quick and easy and the property is very nice and well maintained. The breakfast was definitely a highlight. There was a large variety of hot and cold choices. While the hotel offers some very good choices for lunch and dinner, there are also multiple restaurants very close by as well as the train which goes into DC. I highly recommend the hotel.
- 4/5
Very good breakfast including made-to-order omelets. The dining area needs updated seating and a better layout of tables. More than a few of the padded seats have cracked and badly worn surfaces. The employees we interacted with were all very nice people. We especially enjoyed the (2) complimentary adult drinks offered each evening though could only attend one time.
- 4/5
Bathroom was a little bit outdated
- 4/5
Great breakfast! Nice hotel and location to Metro and downtown shopping area
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was friendly.
- 4/5
Experience was great
- 5/5
Breakfast was fantastic, room was cozy and pool was very relaxing
- 4/5
The entire room was clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The Breakfast was very good and the variety of items was very good. The air conditioning in the room was not adjustable but the stay was pleasant
- 2/5
Unfortunately, our 5 day stay was a real disappointment. The room had no natural light window ( which was NOT indicated as a possibility o. the website description) and over the week I was there, and repeated requests, the staff made no effort to move me to a new room. The room I was in was very shabby— leatherette chairs peeling and broken, lights/plugs not consistently working. The location is wonderful— just what I needed for this work trip— but it was like living in a run down cave for a week.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. Could you have new chairs put in the dining area? I found them to be too low for me and my smaller child when eating
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast convenient to Amtrak, Metro, and Old Town Trolley.
- 4/5
Yes. Room was cool.
- 4/5
Great location and spacious clean rooms Atrium design was very noisy — hotel was filled to capacity with numerous school aged kids/families groups for spring break and the noise level was off the charts even 5 stories up.
- 5/5
Great location ! Great staff! Clean!
- 3.5/5
Property was nice and clean and close to shops and eateries. Property should have a time for kids in the pool and a time for adults.
- 5/5
The largest suite we have stayed in! Tons of space. The beds are a bit tight (small double) but the pull out coach slept 2 so we were able to make it work. The rooms could use a refresh-- new floor and paint-- but they are clean and also the toiletries are nice. We also really appreciated the amazing breakfast, fresh eggs, pancakes, fruit, yogurt. Really good. Also snacks and wine in the evening was nice. The metro is across the street and easy train ride into the city.
- 3.5/5
Amenities, room and dining Pool
- 5/5
Super helpful and clean
- 5/5
I was hoping for a shuttle, but we called ahead and were told there was no shuttle that ran from the airport. It was easy to get on and off the Metro, so it was not an inconvenience.
- 5/5
Our room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and we took advantage of the snacks and drinks between 5-7pm. We will definitely stay here again. The location was perfect!
- 5/5
Location to Old Town, metro free old town shuttle leaves every 15 minutes to end of King Street. Customer Service is A+. Breakfast is very good. HH is also very good. Bed is firm, Location is quiet. Always stay here so I like everything .
- 4/5
Clean and friendly for the most part When I was getting breakfast for the kid the cleaning and serving staff at like it was a problem. I gas 2 rooms so it was a fair amount of kids. The pool has way too much chlorine in it. Everyone was complaining of burning eyes. The next morning it was better.
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing!
- 5/5
Location was perfect for public transportation!
- 5/5
Helpful staff
- 4/5
Great stay
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Everything was great!! FABULOUS breakfast! Across the street from metro (soooo convenient!). Comfy beds. And every single person was friendly & helpful. Definitely recommend!!
- 5/5
Courteous staff
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay here, everything was phenomenal
- 5/5
I had relatives that came in town and was very impressed with the cleanliness of hotel, and the courtesy and helplessness of the staff. I will recommend this location to friends and family members
- 5/5
Great location and service
- 1/5
In addition, several electrical outlets in the room were not functioning, and the microwave was also inoperable. These issues significantly impacted the comfort and convenience of our visit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these maintenance concerns to ensure a better experience for future guests
- 4/5
Everything was good. Breakfast and free reception were great bonuses. Water pressure was weak and literally took 30 minutes with all taps open to get hot water. Only complaint.
- 5/5
I couldn’t believe this hotel was located in Old Town. The service, room, staff and structure was so cool. Would def stay again
- 2/5
Too many kids making noise
- 4/5
The room was clean. Need some
- 5/5
Yes, front desk and cooking staff were excellent
- 4/5
The pool was freezing but the stay was great and clean. The front desk staff was warm and helpful
- 3/5
room was clean. good area.
- 4/5
Beautiful!
- 5/5
The room will need to be remodeled soon
- 4/5
Great bartender.
- 5/5
Staff was great.
- 5/5
Didn't eat. Heater wasn't working well but your tech brought an extra stand alone one.
- 5/5
All staff were friendly and polite. Very clean and comfortable room. Great location directly across the street from the DC metro subway station. Will definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Now for my suite: very nice and spacious took a while to warm up but it was comfortable once it did…however my toilet wouldn’t flush and it just ran all night and then I noticed my glassware had some stuck on residue at the bottom of it. All in all my stay was not that bad. I appreciated the breakfast and complimentary drinks
- 2/5
This was our second time staying at this hotel because it is extremely convenient, and our previous experience was positive—you can even read my review from last year. That said, this stay did not meet the same standards. In the end, the hotel did change our room, which we appreciated; however, the situation should not have escalated to that point. Additionally, one of the front desk managers mentioned that there would be some type of incentive or compensation due to the inconvenience, but we were never contacted or followed up with by management. Overall, while the staff made efforts to help, the hotel itself is in urgent need of updates and better maintenance. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to improve the guest experience.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Good for short term
- 3/5
We were waken up by the loud lobby music at 4 a.m. From Brittany Spears to Maria Carey, we were confused where we were, and why we were there.
- 5/5
Great overall experience. Definitely coming back
- 5/5
Room was clean and ready early for us to use
- 5/5
Courteous staff
- 5/5
Wonderful 2-night stay with our family. Very handy that it’s so close to the metro station. Beautiful and clean, comfortable beds, many delicious options for breakfast… The snack bar from 5:30-7 was great too. This is our second time to stay at Embassy Suites, and we have another stay booked in a couple weeks. Thanks for the delightful experience!
- 4/5
We stay here often as it is convenient and walkable in Old Town. The hotel is clean and has friendly staff. We recommend for couples and families.
- 3/5
Stressful parking( very small sized parking spaces ) Full sized bed considered queen .
- 5/5
Excellent location and service. We will definitely return!
- 5/5
Great place will return
- 5/5
Nice stay with the family
- 5/5
All Staff was courteous and nice. Enjoyed the location of the room and it's accommodations.
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious rooms
- 4/5
Would stay here again
- 5/5
Everything was great, as usual.
- 5/5
What a beautiful place !!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time.
- 5/5
This was a great hotel-daily breakfast that could be made to order or just chosen on the line. Nightly happy hour, convenient parking. The best thing for us was the convenience to the Metro, bus and trolley-literally across the street! We only drive our car once to go to Mt. Vernon. Other days we went into DC so very easily on the Metro-so nice not to have to fight traffic. We walked all over Old Town which was straight down the street from the hotel. So glad we found this hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was very Courteous. It was nice to have the happy hour with 2 free drinks. Thank you.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The room was great, everything that you need for a weekend stay.
- 4/5
Nice spacious room. Great breakfast
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Well, I hat to complain but all the other hotels we stay at have usb ports in the room. At least on the lamp but we had none. We didn’t bring the usb plug with us so we were out of luck. Fortunately our stay wasn’t that long and we had our car to charge our phones but this is just fyi for future gusts who are in need
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and the room was quite spacious. We will definitely be staying here again!
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and courteous. Nice clean room with great view.
- 5/5
Excellent, no complaints.
- 5/5
Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the pool bc it was overran by loud and rowdy people.
- 5/5
Will definitely be back
- 1/5
Do not use this hotel if you are booking thru Expedia or another 3rd party booking site. I booked this hotel 4 months in advance of my stay. I booked a room with a King bed. When I got to the hotel, they gave me a room with 2 double beds (which, by the way, were very uncomfortable). I was not notified at check in there was an issue, they just gave me the room. I went back to the desk to get the issue rectified and they said they were full and there is nothing they could do. She tried to tell me I booked to late, which was not true as there were plenty rooms available with a King bed when I booked, and also tried to blame Expedia for how they book rooms and me for using Expedia instead of the Hilton booking system. I have used Expedia for hundreds of hotel rooms over the years, including 4 hotels on this trip alone. I always book King beds and have never had an issue with any other hotel. That tells me the issue is with, either, this hotel, or with Embassy Suites and their scheduling system. Furthermore, they asked how the stay was numerous times via email/text and each time I gave them the lowest rating. They offered to call me to see how they could fix the issue and then they never called. It is almost as if they don't care about anyone that doesn't book thru their system... just as the lady at the check in desk eluded to when I tried to fix the issue.
- 2/5
A mouse in the dining area was not good Not to mention a major health department violation
- 5/5
Yes it was an the AC was working great
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view...Breakfast was awesome...the Atrium was comfortable and beautiful...the whole hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The room was nice, but the bathroom could’ve been cleaner. The phone lines were always busy so I couldn’t get in touch with housekeeping unless I used my cellphone. Other than that myself and my family enjoyed our stay. We will be back!
- 5/5
They weren't rude by any means. However, interactions with them were not pleasant either. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job
- 2/5
in need of an update.
- 3/5
Room was a bit worn. Lots of room, though. And, employees were great!!
- 5/5
The whole experience was absolutely great from start to finish especially having Crystal & Henry assist us with all of our issues that came up a long the way. I checked out of the room at 11a & around 6 hours later I discovered that I left my company's laptop in the room I quickly went back to the hotel panicking & Crystal was there, I quickly told her of my problem, she quickly jumped into action called last & found, they had it, she let them know I was there to pick it up & to bring it up, because I had informed her that my train would be leaving in about 45 min, she mad a 2nd call to asked them to bring it up quickly & they did, ."THANK YOU CRYSTAL SO MUCH"! The room was clean, stacked with towels & other amenities. The cleaning crew responded to our request timely & politely. Wow and the Breakfast with eggs to order & omelets, Free happy hour daily doing your stay. Why would one stay anywhere else. I know won't..
- 3/5
Staff were great, no free WiFi which was a little annoying. Parking was available but right, don't bring a truck or large SUV. The door didn't always unlock with the key access. If you're traveling with kids you should check the pool hours. Great location, not a bad stay.
- 5/5
Parking was hard
- 1/5
I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the condition of the room I reserved for my mother-in-law during her recent stay, as well as the unacceptable manner in which her complaint was handled by staff. The reservation was for Wednesday, December 19th through Saturday, December 22nd, a stay we intentionally planned so she could travel from North Carolina to Maryland to attend and support me and my husband during our wedding ceremony. We booked this room specifically so she would have her own space, be comfortable, and rest after a long drive. Unfortunately, what she experienced was far from the standard of quality and hospitality I have always associated with the Hilton family. After checking in late due to travel, she woke the next morning to find what appeared to be dried blood on the bathroom wall. As individuals who both work in public safety, we know what dried blood looks like. This was not a small or subtle mark—it was multiple droplets, clearly visible, and something that should never be present in a properly cleaned hotel bathroom. She immediately reported this to the staff. Instead of the concern and urgency one would expect with a sanitation issue, she was later told that the housekeeper claimed it was “coffee.” Not only was this dismissive, but it felt deliberately undermining. Whether the stain was blood, coffee, or anything else, the bottom line remains the same
- 5/5
We stay here the same week every year. We will always choose this hotel. It has everything. Convenience of parking, proximity to old town (trolley or walk), delicious breakfasts, a wonderful happy hour, staff that we’ve gotten to know these last few years, and a room for 4 people but with a separate area for our teenager! Highly recommend this hotel!!!
- 3/5
The staff is great...the rooms are a little older, saw a few bugs in our room...the water pressure is low, there was a connecting door to our room that appeared ajar, we needed to place chairs against it. No frills, but a decent stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was in a great location. It was clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Great service’
- 5/5
Great location, staff and room was clean and cozy. Very quiet with complimentary breakfast.
- 5/5
and then the hotel special amenities - the happy hour and the breakfast was so happy!!
- 5/5
Excellent location, close to the metro to ride into DC, easy parking, large sized rooms.
- 5/5
Everything.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was friendly, cook to order breakfast was good, and evening reception was great.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Meh
- 5/5
Want to recognize Justin! He was funny and professional. My wife and I checked in and he made sure we were taken care of our entire visit. He is a star performer, promote now!
- 4/5
The only problem I encountered was at check-in.. I am extremely thorough when planning vacations. I was met with an error in the system indicating that my reservation had NOT been paid in advance (although I knew it had been). I even presented two receipts as forms of verification. It took almost an hour for the hotel and Expedia to figure out which entity was responsible for the error. During the wait, my son and I missed a comedy show and parking reservations I booked months ago. I was awarded hotel points for the inconvenience, but it failed in comparison to the funds I lost and the experience. I asked for at least complimentary parking but was denied. This was the only negative I feel compelled to share. Otherwise, the hotel was great in all other aspects!
- 4/5
The decor was dated and a bit dingy but clean. The included full breakfast with many options, evening reception with drinks and snacks and large, comfortable suites more than made up for it. The location was also excellent- the metro was across the street and it was an easy walk or trolley ride down King Street to the waterfront.
- 5/5
The buffet is awesome for breakfast
- 5/5
Clean, beautiful, and a perfect location for travelers. Definitely a place I would book with again.
- 2/5
The staff were helpful but unfortunately there were issues with payment upon checkin. Room was booked and paid for through Expedia however upon check in we were told that the room was only held and not paid for in advance. We were unable to check in with out providing card for payment. We contacted Expedia and it was confirmed that we paid upon reserving the room but now we have to wait for a refund as we were charged twice.
- 5/5
Great location, quiet, and the rooms are very spacious.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
My stay was very comfortable and the hotel is right ny King Street for a walkable weekend!
- 4/5
Parking spaces are too small.
- 5/5
They skipped cleaning my room one day. They came immediately, however, upon my calling the front desk.
- 5/5
I strictly use Hilton properties and this is by far one of the best. Clean and convenient with great staff. I will be adding this to the top of list for any business or family trips to the DC areas.
- 5/5
Service was excellent by all staff.
- 5/5
Excellent staff from the front desk to housekeeping to restaurant staff
- 3/5
Happy hour drinks were ok View from suite was just a wall Cockroach in the lounge area one day Limited vegan selection at breakfast
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 2/5
The water was backed up in my room. We had to shower in standing water. When i talked to the front desk they said all they could do was tell maintenance. Im a Hilton Honors member and they did nothing for the inconvenience. Not even take care of parking nothing.
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
to checking out was awesome. I appreciate them all for making our stay special. My family was there in Arlington to bury my Mother in Arlington National Cemetery. Please give your entire staff a oorah! Thanks Bob Zondor
- 5/5
Suites were great.
- 5/5
There is no bell boys in the property. You have to pay for the parking separately which is not practical.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
Perfect location Room was very clean
- 5/5
The food was excellent !
- 5/5
Perfect location. Across the street from Kings Street Station with stops for the Smithsonian and the airport and the free Old Town shuttle.
- 5/5
I loved the location of this property. It was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants of Old Town. Check in and parking were very smooth. We enjoyed the clean rooms and property of the hotel. My children enjoyed the pool and breakfast was a hit.
- 5/5
I won’t stay there again
- 5/5
Over the top customer service
- 5/5
This is my third time at this property and I really love it. The breakfast is ok and the afternoon happy hour. It has become a staple for my family and I when visiting Alexandria.
- 5/5
Enjoy our stay
- 4/5
Breakfast was excellent. Happy hour drinks and food could be better.
- 5/5
Probably the only thing that was a little difficult was the parking garage. There were so many pillars that it was hard to maneuver in a small SUV. It was a good thing we stopped at the front desk to check out, or we would not have known we needed to keep one room key to get out of the garage. Overall this was a great stay.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and respectful.
- 5/5
Love coming here! This place is so beautiful and the rooms are so clean and well taken care of! The beds are clean and comfortable, will definitely keep coming back here!
- 5/5
Loved the evening reception with lots of snacks and breakfast was excellent

Great location with easy access to public transit for getting to DC and the airport.

Nice property. Friendly staff

The ratings on Expedia were not honest. The only person who was nice was the gentleman at the front desk. The lady at the at was rude. The life guard was rude and not personable for kids. They hade at least 15 adults watching their kids in their nasty pull and five chairs to sit. Everyone was just awkwardly standing. Not family friendly at all. Dirty. Stinky. The did switch us to a better smelling room than the one before but overall the hotel was not near as good as other embassy hotels or other hotels we previously stayed for half the price.

The accessibility to the train and area was great! Breakfast was very good! This was a great hotel for the DC area.

Could be nice, needs to be updated badly. Carpets were dirty and smelled sour, AC barely worked drains clogged and sinks drained slow. Breakfast options were good, parking was terrible our car was hit by signs in the garage because they are not accurately hung ( height said 6’3 but were lower) owners are aware according to hotel staff and nobody is correcting the issue and they still charge you for the limited parking. Beds were uncomfortable especially sofa bed. You could feel the metal bars through the extremely thin mattress. Staff were all very nice.

It was a beautiful hotel, plenty of room for our family, great free breakfast and happy hour and right across from the metro

This is absolutely the best place to stay when you are visiting Washington DC. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location across from a transportation center. This provides easy access from Reagan National Airport via DC Metro. There’s a free bus and trolley service that takes you up and down King St. Located in Old Town Alexandria, the whole mile long road is quaint and loaded with many shops, bars and restaurants! The Hotel is awesome with a spacious atrium that rises up to the eight floors of the hotel. Free breakfast and a Manager’s happy hour that grants you two free drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 pm is something that most hotels don’t do! There is no lunch or dinner offering here but there are many other restaurants nearby including Joe Theismann’s within very close proximity of the hotel. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel!

Great breakfast!

Great property, just not enough staff to handle all the people in the evening at the bar or breakfast
- 5/5
Although we were only there for a short trip, we had an excellent stay. The room was spacious and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast had many delicious offerings. It's also conveniently located across from the train station. We'd definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Very nice community with lots of restaurants and unique shopping within walking distance. We were literally right across the street from the metro and train station, even though we had our own vehicle. This is a great property for sightseeing adventures that could use the metro train and bus services. There is also a free trolley for old town Alexandria.

I will definitely stay here again. Beyond clean, food was good staff were great and it was overall a great experience

Very nice hotel. In a great spot in walking distance to a lot of attractions and food

We enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites very much. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were very friendly. The location is great for travel to the DC area!

The hotel is in a great location if you want to ride the bus or metro to DC. It is right across the street so is very convenient. The hotel itself met our needs. Our first room had a problem with the a/c, on a very hot week in Alexandria and they changed our room the next morning. The breakfast is very good, my grandchildren loved the pool.

The bartenders were friendly and professional. The morning breakfast was satisfying and the cooks were friendly and very accommodating. Always a good place to stay at!

They came to the rescue when we needed a place to stay after originally booking a scam of an apartment through Expedia that we had to vacate. We checked in exhausted at midnight. The employees at the hotel were excellent at running a hotel. We had a relaxing stay. Loved the breakfast, happy hour, metro and trolly proximity. Hotel was a bit dated but clean and relaxing. Would stay here again when in DC

Great hotel. Would stay again!

Just a wonderful stay. Honestly, the property is a little dated, it didn't matter at all. Location across from metro station was perfect, super cute walkable area, very manageable distance from dc where most of our activities were. Staff and service were just simply fantastic, so helpful and genuinely kind, even to the ladies at the omelet bar in the morning. Atrium is lovely and open, and almost every time we walked through there were people using the space to work or socialize. We would stay here again without a doubt.

It's awesome

The breakfast was sub-standard. Everything else was satisfactory. Would stay there again. Minus the breakfast.

Loved it very sweet to me as handycap

I love the convenience and long walk to the waterfront. And the staff is wonderful. It’s my home away from HOME.

Nice stay for my family of 6. The kids enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was the best part!

Rooms need updating

The room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful, with the exception of one man who helped us get into the hotel parking garage one night.

The only thing I noticed was that the suite had noticeable damages. The wall paper in certain areas was damaged.

My wife’s first visit here. She loved it

Beautiful view of the hotel, metro was literally in front of hotel. Nice and calm. What I didn’t like was the fridge wasn’t working for us and parking garage was too tight.

Excellent service. From Justin at the front desk to the breakfast staff, everyone was helpful, kind, and very polite. The location was very convenient with a Metro station right across the street. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

I booked 2 rooms. When, I checked in and went to both rooms, I found that 1 of the rooms that I booked was switched out.. I later learned after questioning front desk manager that my two bedroom room was swapped out for a 1 bedroom because the hotel was overbooked and they needed my room. Needless to say, unrelated adults had to sleep together on this trip celebrating our Girl Scouts graduation. So, uncomfortable! The manager informed us that we can be refunded and go find another hotel, which was totally disrespectful because he would’ve had to contact “Expedia” and l would’ve had to wait to be refunded because I booked and paid for the two rooms in advance and I checked in around 6 pm. I was also put on a handicap room so the accommodations were not for us to include the roll in shower with no tub and a shower seat.
- 1/5
run down and dirty and they had roaches
- 1/5
I did not end up staying due to just this absolute terrible feeling I got from the place and I felt claustrophobic and trapped in the rooms, not to mention the setup is something you see in a prison with tiers and tiny railing that someone could easily get tossed over from.
- 4/5
The only thing I can really comment on is the quality of the breakfast. I’ve been to other Embassies and was a little disappointed with this one. The eggs were bland and runny, the waffles were hard/dry…the back area pancakes were good, but the buffet selection missed the mark. Great facility otherwise
- 5/5
I would stay again. The room was odor free and clean. The everything worked and had the necessary things (towels, soap, etc…). Our inside curtain was ripped some but you really couldn’t tell because of how it fell. No nosy from “neighbors”. It is in a great area for working and getting a sense of the neighborhood. Family loved it.

Need more chairs in pool area.

The location was so convenient

Why can’t I get a full receipt from the hotel? I have yet to get a receipt from you. I need it ASAP.
- 2/5
“Executive” suite was in dire need of renovation. Rickety cabinets with no amenities. Not even a bottle opener. Dirty water fountains, the stench of urea rising up from the pool and a rat the size of a toy yorkie nonchalantly wandering around the front driveway and “decorative” front flower beds. Elevators that barely worked and just a general lack of maintenance and care made this property a definite “do not return to” hotel.
- 2/5
We stayed here for the location to the Metro, which was definitely the best perk. However, I learned there are a few other hotels right near the same spot, so I would not stay here again. The happy hour/evening bites was a joke. Everyone staying in the hotel was eager every night for for this event, the lines were long and the bartender was hustling! Did a great job keeping the line moving, however, the "bites" portion was a joke. They would put out a enough food a family of 6, so people were constantly waiting for the refill, the food offered was the same three nights in a row, with mystery dips b/c they were not labeled. I finally got a plate of vegetables and used the dip, which turned out to be horseradish sauce, not what I had expected. And an odd option for veggies. And the also uber small cheese plate had cheese that appeared partially dried out. There were also candies, but many people just dug directly into the bowl with their hands and didn't use the spoon provided. I have had much better happy hour/evening bite perks elsewhere. The breakfast was also substandard with the dishes in the hotplates not being hot. The waffles were soggy and cold. The pillows were awful, switched from feather to foam and the foam was worse than feather. The couch cushions were ripped.
- 5/5
I liked the cooked to order omelet breakfast as well as the fully stocked breakfast buffet. Happy Hour was also awesome.
- 5/5
Love that the metro station is right across from the hotel. Made going into DC very easy. Staff was incredible! Table backs, chefs everyone very friendly and helpful. Only downfall was rude people at the happy hour hoarding the snacks etc.
- 3/5
This hotel could benefit from some updates. It's in a convenient location. The evening happy hour is nice though crowded. Breakfast is very good. Our bathroom has some plumbing issues.
