Felt safe the hotel was favorite of truck drivers. Room was clean but the a/c was tepid just glad it was a week when the humidity was bearable. Received what I paid for.

This motel was horrible and that smell. I couldn't stay there. People hanging around the outside(homeless etc.) I really didn't feel safe.

The one bright spot was the bed—it was easily the softest and most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to outweigh the other issues.

The room was pretty clean, the staff were very very helpful. The water pressure was not good, the toilet did not flush very well. Someone kept taking the "Do Not Disturb" sign off of our door. The soda machine and snack machines would not work. My husband walks slow with a cane and the ice machine was on an upper floor so the staff at the front desk were nice enough to give us ice instead of having to go up stairs. It was pretty quiet for the most part. It is an okay place to stay for a night or two, but not for any longer than that. It is close to everything.

The room looked nothing like the advertised pictures. There were roaches in the room, poorly cleaned bathroom, we were told that our room faced the courtyard but it in fact itfaced an abandoned pool. We had to take the stairs in the dark because we got stuck on the elevator twice. It seems there's a different section of the hotel for the discounted rooms. The more disorderly guests were put in the back where the so called courtyard is. Noisy all night! I'll never stay there again.

Okay for the purpose of a quick night's stay. Fairly outdated facility but overall moderately clean. Breakfast is minimal but motel is located near eateries.

I thought the room was fine no major issues. The noise from other rooms and traffic can be heard easily through the walls.

The breakfast was limited. Just waffles and toast and some cereal. Walked from Huntington metro. Took about 25 minutes. Doable for me but most probably wouldnt want to walk that far.

The wrong day was booked. As soon as it was realized an attempt to correct it was initiated through the staff. They blew it off.

It’s been around awhile but was a clean room for the money.

Parking was easy, and the room was clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. However, the hallways were not clean and had a noticeable smoke smell. The breakfast was disappointing. It was also quite noisy due to other guests, which made it difficult to sleep. Overall, it’s an okay place for a short stay.

Most of the rooms are road facing and people keep walking in the corridors late into the night and can be heard throughout. That’s a little disturbing. It’s 20 min walk from Huntington station which makes it a comfortable stay option but the walk back to the station is uphill. Overall a decent place to stay for a reasonable price.

It was fine for one night but the price was to much for what we got the pillows were terrible. Our door looked like it has been beaten in and they had patched it. was not worth all most 100.00 for one night the quality does not equal the price

This is an older motel that needs to be updated. The toilet didn’t work and when staff were notified immediately upon entering the room, they didn’t do anything to fix it. Thankfully my boyfriend was able to fix it for the night. The walls are super thin and around 1a-2a neighbors were yelling and then around 2a Police were knocking on doors. There were small red blood stains on the blankets resembling bed bugs but we couldn’t find any bugs thankfully. We felt very dirty here. There were other reviews saying they never got the $75 deposit back so I waited till I got mine. We stayed April 3 and I got it back on April 7. Breakfast was very small in options - they had juice, cereal, and waffles. You do need to get a breakfast ticket when checking in, without it you won’t be able to eat breakfast.

breakfast OK, nothing great. Quiet. Accidentally went to wrong door and my card key opened up an occupied room! Disliked the heavy smell of marijuana from neighboring room when I turned on the bathroom fan. Took shower with light out because of that. Someone had placed a plastic bag over the smoke detector... Unable to find light switch at all when entering dark room. Had to find one in the bathroom area. Walkable from Metro Yellow line, but not straightforward navigating a dark very hilly park at night. Seemed safe, but who knows. Decent place to stay to visit DC area. Plenty of good parking. Clean enough. Toilet runned.

The first room we was in had roaches, then they changed us rooms when we told them, second room had roaches as well, they didnt change us a third time. They blamed us for the roaches being there and wouldn't give the deposit back. The bottom of the doors on both room slowly gap open, so things can crawl in.

Minors were not clean: inside drawers - found a dead roach, the bible was greasy, and found hair in random places. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got to check in early which was amazing. The housekeepers were very friendly and cleaned our room when we were gone. They were also very nice as well. Over all was an average stay but the staff, housekeeping, price, and the fact that we got to check in early made the stay worth it! Would stay here again if needed.

This is good location for attending events in or around Alexandria and Arlandia. Plenty of parking. Fast check-in and check-out. Comfortable furniture in the room.

Front desk staff was very helpful during check-in: he was very accommodating in finding room options with good air quality that would be better for my son who has a reactive airway.

Pros: -Affordability -The water quality was fantastic, my difficult curly hair has never been happier -Location was great, only a few minutes' drive to the nearest Metro station, and only a few minutes to downtown Alexandria as well as National Harbor -The beds were surprisingly comfortable, with nice fluffy pillows. -Strong air conditioning! Cons: -The smell. The room had that classic motel smell, musty mixed with old, old cigarettes. It was not what I would expect from a Days Inn/Wyndham property, and was quite unpleasant. I had to wash literally everything I brought to the hotel when I got back home, as the smell permeated every piece of clothing and soft surface -The tub in the room was clearly just plopped down on top of a preexisting tub, and weirdly bubbled up in parts, which I could feel stepping around the tub as I showered. The continental breakfast was serviceable, I appreciated the waffle station although fresh fruit instead of fruit cups would have been great. The rooms were reasonably clean if dated, as was the bedding (minus the old burn marks in some of the sheets).

Room had multiple stains on walls and carpets, but was decently cleaned otherwise. Breakfast area was very small, and crowded, but the staff member attending to it was pleasant and helpful.

First room tub was full and would not drain. They immediately gave me another room right next door so was an easy transition. The staff was great! Rooms were not perfect and shower went from hot to cold every couple seconds. overall slept well and was easy access and great location.

The hotel is an older hotel, so I know that it is only going to look so nice. That is not an issue. I booked the hotel because it was affordable and in a good location. If I was going to stay more than one night before leaving for the airport, I probably would book a nicer hotel. The primary issue was the big wad of pubic hair on the floor in the bathroom. I would hope that the bathroom would be cleaned better than that. The bed was comfortable and there was a serviceable breakfast. The hotel is what you would expect from a budget hotel. Except the bathroom was not clean.

Thankful for the stay but woke up to bugs in room and things were just not up to par for Days Inn I know. I really feel that this needs a face lift and an under the hood do over. I feel that if funds are invested right into this hotel it will give other hotels a run for the money!!!

Room door wpuldnt shut properly without assistance. Breakfast was lacking overall...getting coffee was a struggle. The property had a transiemt homeless feel and population around it.

The Days Inn South in Alexandria, VA exceeded our expectations, in cost, cleaniness, convenience, staff friendliness and general quietness and safety.

Great place and room. Had a little mini kitchen which would be great for longer stays.

Me and my friend were asleep when two ladies opened our door with a keycard that was given to them from the front desk. Immediately they freaked out and left the room. The front desk then called and asked if anyone was in the room, and then hung up. This was just plain weird and I’m not thrilled about it. Front desk didn’t even apologize or try to make any amends, just a simple ok and a hang up.

The property seems like Motor 6. It is incorrect to describe this as a Wyndham property.

It was quite enjoyable in a peaceful environment. Good value with excellent service.

The property is conveniently located, relative to accessing major highways, and the same is true for shopping and dining. Even to access the Mt. Vernon trail was also possible with relative ease.

The wifi was broken, signal was very weak. The bathtub drains super slow. No travel size shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathroom. The blanket looks unclean.

I have stayed at this location over 30 days in the last 15 months. Internet was so spotty that I couldn't do company business during the stay. TV next to nothing in channels. Taking a shower was dangerous. Water kept going hot-cold and the pressure went from dribble to regular. I concluded my business early and asked for a refund for the final day. The front desk said I had to contact Hotels.com to initiate a credit. I contacted them and while on the phone with me, they tried to call the hotel, which never answered. At checkout, I told the desk clerk that I had contacted Hotels.com and that they tried to call. Today I received an email from Hotels.com and it stated that the hotel declined to refund one day. The only thing that makes this hotel worth staying at is its location to the Metro train into Washington DC.

This hotel was very unsafe, especially for two single women. We checked in and immediately had to find a new hotel to stay in at 1:30 am due to safety concerns. The lock on our door was broken, the sheets were dirty, there were cages on the vending machines, and the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I now had to pay for two hotels.

Room had microwave and refrigerator. Free breakfast. Free Parking available. 5 mins to Huntington Metro parking (if one wants to use Metro to go to DC; which I did) Cons: Cleanliness. The property looked little old. Room’s windows faced corridor (so could not keep the windows curtains open for privacy reasons). Breakfast options could be better (was free; so can’t complain too much). Overall good for the price

For the price, it was just right. Nothing was exceptional, but our room was quiet and it was convenient for driving into old town Alexandria and for driving to the Huntington metro station when we went into DC. The staff was friendly.

We arrived at 1am due to traveling by car. When we arrived a man got up from a seat playing on his phone and let us in. We went to the front desk and the man didn’t even stand up or say hello or welcome, simply said “ID”. Not very welcoming. The whole building and rooms are very outdated and seem to have lead based paint on the walls. Needs a lot of work. Breakfast was okay, they don’t offer any different options day to day. It’s always the same, oatmeal, cereal, make your own breakfast sandwich, pancakes or waffle. Bed was comfortable and it was okay for just sleeping

The staff who was there when we came was rude, I think he’s a Supervisor named Benjamin. He did not smiled even once, I hope you train your staff well. Also there’s a very bad smell from the elevator. We stayed in 3rd floor but we opted to just use the staircase because the smell from elevator made us nauseous.

Exactly what you expect from the Days Inn. Really friendly and nice staff, OK breakfast, good room.

Except for the free breakfast.room too crowded, too many people at the same time. Rest are very good.

This hotel is more of a motel that is in substandard conditions. Very disappointing.

Seen roaches 1st night we were there, the tub and some of the areas on the room need to be redone because there was a lot of cracks everywhere.

The property is completely outdated. Some of the light fixtures don’t work. The table in my room was broken. The staff wasn’t extremely helpful in informing me time for breakfast.

Found red stains on the sheets and stains on the blankets. Had to ask for new sheets and still found things on the new sheets. The staff there were nice about it.

Property may require a renovation, old carpets, old bathrooms. Didn’t enjoy my stay here. Positives: Amazing staff and service, very professional. Well reacted when asked for a change of room. Good commute to Washington City and other local areas

Friday night we arrived, first we was told my daughters name was in system for having to many ppl over, but we go on vacation our whole family goes and we all get our own rooms... anyways we was helping my daughte Sierra get cleaned up and loading everything on push cart we was going up to a 2 bedroom eff for a few more days and the owner came and assumed we was all staying in this little hotel room. We even told her we all had our own rooms and they said it wasnt acceptable.... Anyways she told us we couldnt have any company, remind you we was there for a cheer competition. 40 mins after checking in we get accused of having a big dog and that we had to get our things and get out. I told them we didnt have a dog and we wasnt loosing out on 400 dollars we just paid... We told them we didnt want house keeping they did it anyway and whoever the housekeeper was went through our belongings... The breakfast wasn't any good... Not much to choose from... Then you had ppl in parking lot doing drug deals all night and messing around cars.... I definitely would advise the management to clean the people up staying there... I wont be staying with days inn anymore or Wyndham !!!!

I stay here every time I come to Washington DC to do research. It is very close to the Huntington Station of the Metro. The room is nice for the price but no frills. I've stayed in the same room twice. TV had a lot of snow, which they tried to repair and made it better, but not great. Channel selection is minimal. There is a breakfast, but minimal. Hot is waffles only.

The beds were very nice, and the location is perfect as it is near the metro.
