One of the staff members, Quan, was professional, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable when I called ahead with questions concerning my stay. She helped me arrange for a late check-in and guided me through the process of creating a (free!) Hilton Honors account. Because of Quan, I felt confident in my booking with Tru. Not a thing! Everything was thoughtfully designed, the hotel was clean, and the staff members were polite, friendly, and helpful.

Breakfast on Hampton side was great. Breakfast staff friendly and accommodating. liked the ability to crossover to hampton side. Game room and other amenities are a nice touch. Info in the rooms regarding access to amenities. Bathroom needs touch up work and cleaning.

This property and staff made me and my family stay exceptional for my daughter’s graduation from University at Albany. The breakfast is fresh and available daily, they provide eating utensils and hot drinks throughout the day. The hotel has beautiful areas to hang out with your family and friends. There is a beautiful mall across the highway that you can shop and enjoy entertainment such as bowling and comedy shows. The hotel is warm and inviting for families looking for a short stay or extended stay.

This is quite possibly my favorite hotel. Our 3rd time staying here, and it’s a great experience. Always clean, always above and beyond. They had fun coloring pages for kids, a guest-of-the-day board, lots of amenities. Pool is clean, lobby is large and joyful. Staff are wonderful, accommodating and happy. I ran out of contact solution on night one, and they had some for purchase in the lobby. My husband even got a birthday gift. Love it here!

Wonderful service!!! They allowed me to check in early as a courtesy which was very helpful. I love the friendly front desk staff and cleansing of the family friendly hotel. Super convenient location for my daughter's college visit.

We booked for one night. The bed was comfortable but we had to ask for new sheets. Both beds had hair on them and didnt look clean. We changed the sheets ourselves. The staff was friendly and accommodated the request. At night there was a alot of noise in the hallway, banging on the walls and doors slamming at late hours. It was difficult to get a good night sleep because the walls were so thin. You can hear everything. The check in was quick and easy and they helped answersome questios I had about the area. It was near the mall, which was the reason why we chose this location. The free breakfast was ok but not great. There were two sections for breakfast so they had a few items to choose from. However it wasnt great quality so I wasn't able to finish my food. I wish the hotel had dining options you can pay for, it would have been a plus. Overall this hotel is average. I was only there for one night so I was ok, but I wouldn't stay here again for more than one day.

Upon entry to my room I went to put my cooler contents into the micro fridge only to see there was still someone Togo container and drink inside. There is no ice bucket in the room, no indication to locate one elsewhere, it wasn’t until the morning when I went downstairs and I saw the first floor ice machine had a stand with ice buckets next to it but the 2nd floor (where my room was located) had no stand and no indication to locate the buckets elsewhere. Boost neighbors screaming and banging until midnight. Lastly as nice as it is to have bottles in the shower to use, at what point in one’s life do we choose to wash our body with “hand wash” instead of body wash. This is my 2nd time staying here and my last. Next time I’ll pay less to stay at a better hotel (Hilton downtown).

The staff made our stay delightful!

Breakfast was very good you get hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, pulled pork and tortillas etc if you want to make breakfast tacos. Hot pancakes, bagel, muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal and fruit also available. Juice, tea coffee as drinks.

The hotel service was great. The breakfast food could be a bit better. They don’t inform you of the amount of the hold they keep on your card until checkout. 4 days after checkout it’s still on hold.

Unfortunately due to an ice storm I was not able to make the hour long drive home I booked the Tru Hotel here on Expedia and it was clean, quiet, the staff was super helpful and compassionate.

It was a nice hotel. Unfortunately; I was there during a big snowstorm. The hotel was booked solid. I was only able to get a handicap room. The H/C room was next to a mechanical room. Something was going on and I heard banging at 2 in the morning. The room did it's job.

There was hair in the sink. The electric shade remote did not work and there were stink bugs (2) in the bathroom.

Sheets didn't fit the bed, perfunctory cleaning during our stay and breakfast is like military food. Very nice staff.

Excellent customer service! Got to the hotel at 130pm hoping to check in early to get ready for a wedding! ShaQuan allowed us to check in early with no issues or hesitation! Another shout out to her for being so accommodating!!!

Tru hotels have been great! We love that there’s space for kids to have fun as well as adults! We appreciate the fact that dogs are allowed so our buddy can travel with us too! The breakfast staff were especially nice and caring by bringing a baby dining seat out every morning for us. I think the only downside would maybe be that for such a cool and updated hotel, something simple like their toilet paper should be off the same quality as the other toiletries they provide. Our room was great, but the air conditioner had a mildewy smell which we weren’t fond of with our baby also in the room. We still enjoyed our stay because the location was very central and walkable to Crossgates Mall.

Location to the mall and Albany is amazing. Hotel and service were great beds were comfortable rooms and showers are good. Hot buffet breakfast was really great.

The facility was clean and updated. The option of 2 different breakfast places was wonderful. The game/lounge area was a plus! Staff were very friendly. The only things that were bothersome was noise was easy to hear and the towels for the pool were too small.

I love staying at the Tru but this visit my room smelled like dog or cat. Not everyone is a pet lover they should seperate the rooms of those who stay with their pets.

Our only issue was slow computer performance at the front desk during check-in so the process took longer than usual. Other than that, we love the place and stay about 8 to 10 times a year.

Negatives would be that the rooms are advertised as a king bed. The bed is clearly a queen. When asked front desk about size of bed. They told me that that is their king bed. I also think that when built, the contractors skimped on insulation. Could hear the bass from music and if anybody would laugh through the walls. Had to sleep with air and tv on to hide neighbor room noise.

We had a fast check in great customer services. The breakfast was excellent, but the housekeeper knocked on my door and bust through the door. The towels were not good, they were ripped and some had holes in them. But overall the place was beautiful and the front desk staff was so welcoming! Im coming back with my own bath towels.

It's in a reasonable price with the high quality. A good choice to stay to explore the Catskill area in Fall season.

Deff will stay here again! Only thing that I can say negatively is on the website it says they accept cash multiple times and when I got there with only cash on me (my credit card was recently hacked) they said they can’t take cash.

Cleaning staff absolutely beating down my door several times throughout the morning, WHILE I had the do not disturb sign up. I'm talking 3-4 hours before checkout. Ridiculous. Will never go again just for that reason.

Good low cost option for soccer teams and young families, but I would prefer an upscale option. On the plus side, the room was clean and bed firm enough. However, it felt barren with only an office chair for seating. There wasn't even a stand to put your luggage on. The building had a cheap feeling; it looked new but the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and halls. I could hear the people in the room above pacing at 4am. The elevators were busy as they served two hotels (Tru and Homewood Suits). The included breakfast had very limited options, and some of it was inedible, like the over cooked powered eggs and old fruit.

The TV system was down the entire stay even though they were telling people it would be fixed any minute. Very loud noises in hallways all night. Flashing light in room blinking several times per minute. Floors were not clean. Too minimalistic for my comfort in the room, hardly any furniture

Clean. Only issue the Rollin shower very small. My son who is handicapped could not use it. He is 6 feet 4 inches. Could not fit in the shower once you brought down the provided bench.

Employees was amazing

We were given a room that must have been a janitor closet turned into a room. No furniture other than a bed and a super small attached to wall desk. The window shade was also taped up to the wall. Also the hotel will only supply clean towels every other day of your stay even on request. I was also told that they could not give a copy of my receipt only emailed and that was their policy.

When we entered our room it was like an ice box as someone before left the AC on high. The bathroom door would not latch shut. And lots of things looks like they need updates or replacement in the room. But besides that the staff was good and professional and the rooms were quite and clean.

Really great property - the common areas, the pool, lobby were all nicely maintained and spacious, and the staff were friendly. My particular room had some issues - mainly in the bathroom (the wall-anchored soaps kept leaking and the toilet moved when it was in use), and the sink water did not drain very fast. But overall, would definitely recommend this place!

The breakfast was excellent!

The room had no hair dryer, phone didn't work, the shower soap dispenser was empty. Then we had noisy neighbors bit we couldn't call the desk due to Ann inoperative phone

staff was super friendly gave my daughters friend a free pint of ice cream to celebrate her birthday. very accommodating hotel with games to play bottles of wine for sale. love tru!
