Very clean.

The rooms are a bit run down but acceptable. The gentleman that checked us in was very polite. There is laundry onsite.

For the price that we paid for the room it was a good deal. The bed was clean. They had recently done some upgrades. They put in a new floor stuff like that. I mean, if you’re looking for a super five star perfect hotel it’s not the place, but if you’re looking for a clean bed and a decent room for an affordable price also the staff was amazing. Super friendly helped us out late at night just so we could even charge our phones if we come back to Albany for another concert. I have no problem staying there.

Great value for the money! Wonderful staff! Very comfortable bed - best night sleep in weeks. But for a property under renovation they didnt have a handle on the status of the individual rooms. Our first room had a brand new tv that wasnt connected to cable so they switched our room. The second room had NO telephone to call the front desk or anywhere, the shower was difficult to operate and required the assistance of the front desk staff, and the bathroom didnt have a blower so that when showers were finally taken, every thing that was glass in the room fogged up! But the staff were so cheerful and helpful and having a good night sleep was everything. Will give them another chance!

Cons: The room was unkempt. Three of the lamps needed new bulbs, but to the hotel's credit, they supplied us with new ones upon request. Bigger issue: the floor was really dirty. Not dusty. Grimy. Grimy to the point that when we showered, the water running off our feet was dirty and brown. When we brought our concerns to the front desk, the attendant—a sweet lady with reddish hair and tattoos—told us we were out of luck, as the rooms were only cleaned every three days, citing understaffing. The thing is there were still people there every morning to clean the rooms post check-outs. I don't think it would've been much work to have someone quickly mop our room. I asked if we could at least get the room swept, thinking that might be less trouble, and she literally handed me a broom. So, we swept our own room—which did nothing, as the grime was caked onto the floor—and opted to just wear socks for the rest of the trip. Upon check-out we mentioned this to a different attendant, and she seemed appalled, so not entirely sure what happened here. Whatever the case, I'm just left questioning the degree to which they actually clean the rooms between visits, because do you know how long you have to go without mopping for the floors to leave dirt on the bottoms of your feet? A long, long time. Honestly, the rest of the stay was lovely, but if grimy floors are a dealbreaker—either steer clear, or bring slippers, haha.

The room we stayed at had a horrible cigarette smell. The staff did provide air freshener for the bad smell and we’re very friendly about moving rooms if we wanted to. The staff was extremely friendly however, the hotel just looked a little rundown and old.

We asked for and early check in we arrived at 3 as we were told to only to have them send us away for another 30 minutes. When we entered the room we were exhausted so we rested for a while. Later we discovered rhe floors felt sticky, the bathroom sink was clogged we dug a hairball out with a pen to get it to drain. The mirror was not cleaned. There was a long hair in the shower and neither of us has long hair so it obviously wasnt cleaned well. When we opened the bed it appeared as if someone had slept in the sheets. By this time it was 10:00 at night. We only stayed one night, opted to lose the money and find somewhere else that was better. Shocked because the reviews were good. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Multiple shops and restaurants are nearby. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Some things need to be updated but did not affect my stay, no coffee maker in the room, however there was a coffee station by the front desk. The bed was ok, the mattress was firm, which I like, and the pillows were decent. The price was perfect for what you get. The fitness center was great.

I was switched three times from rooms because either the room wasnt cleaned or the AC didn’t work. There was constant noise at all hours of the night. Not well insulated walls or windows or doors so you could hear everything.

The staff was lovely. The property is clean generally but kind of beat-up -- a crack in the sink, the shower stuck on one setting, etc. Breakfast was an apple in a paper bag with a bottle of water. Mostly the issue is noise -- the people nextdoor were VERY loud and I didn't get much rest as a result. It's perfectly serviceable if you're staying one night for a stopover but might not be your best choice for a long stay

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was a brown bag with a bottle of water, granola bar, a cup, packet of oatmeal, and a cup of oranges. Room had a musty smell and there was other peoples hair all over everything, including the towels. Showerhead had calcium buildup that affected the spray as well and in the morning, there was only lukewarm water. It was a room to sleep in but wouldn’t plan to stay here again.

This location was just ok. The pictures were better than the actual room. It was clean, but nothing special. The front desk attendants were friendly and polite.

Dresser was broken Someone used fabulous to clean the microwave, so when I used the microwave it ruined my food and stunk up the room. Check in went well. The room was not cleaned. The counters were dirty, the refrigerator disgusting. Carpet was peeling off the wall for the baseboard. The heat was turned way down low and when I went to turn it up, dust particles came out of the vent on the wall. I looked down inside and it was just disgusting with the amount of trapped lint and dirt on the vent blowing into the air. The bed had a sheet and one thin comforter if that's what you want to call it.

Checked in but saw the room and immediately asked for a refund and found a new hotel. Place reeked of weed and cigarettes. Holes in the wall. White neon lighting, one of the lights didn't even work. Small room, stains on the bedsheets. The place felt like a prison cell.

Heat was broken in room. The front desk had no extra blankets when asked. There were broken liquor bottles in the parking lot and people smoking by the entrances. There was a lot of cleaning smell I think to cover up cigarettes smoke in the hallways and rooms. I also do not think that the hotel should be listed as providing breakfast when all it is is a brown bag with bottle d water a granola bar and a packet of instant oatmeal in a cup. We have stayed in other Travelodge properties that are much better.

I want to fully recommend the Travel Lodge because it is a perfect hotel for the very low price. I work in a restaurant a short walk away and it is ideal for when there is bad weather and I must walk to work. The room was very clean and I got a good night’s sleep.

The hotel smelt awful and we had to call 911c they recommended to not stay there.

Staff at front weren't too friendly. The room was a disaster no toilet paper sheets were dirty good thing we always bring our own blankets. No hair dryer in the room.

Love staying at Travel Lodge. The manager, Tara, is a wonderful person, always willing to help and goes above and beyond to make your stay the best possible.

When we arrived at 9 pm I was told there was not a room available, despite the fact I had reserved one a week earlier. The manger found the reservation and explained that "sometimes they overbook us." The room we got was not the king room as reserved, but two double beds. We did not complain since we needed a room. The hall and even our room smelled of cigarette smoke, more or less, throughout the time we stayed. The room overall was worn, outlets not working, broken latch, in need of new paint, but was clean. We were out most of the day and only needed a place to sleep, but will not stay here again. Definitely not 100% smoke-free. Staff was friendly but upgrade is needed. Also I was charged what was described as an Expedia service fee!

The audio for all the TV channels worked except Fox News. I find such intentional censorship disgusting to say the least even though I’m a totally apolitical person. When I complained that fact to the managers, they quickly said CNN and Fox News were both having trouble, but I only found Fox News to be without audio, not CNN. It seems they had difficulty in telling the truth. Such behavior is so unfortunate today in a country so divided by political partisanship.

It was close enough to my business location. Bathroom facilities are rather old fashioned and the toilet had to be flushed in a certain way for it to work properly. Towels could have been cleaner.

The staff was nice. The location was good. Parking was plentiful. There were some cleanliness issues in the bathroom. Random pubes on the floor and Bathtub. The toilet was pretty iffy. It ran nonstop. The halls smelled like weed. The doorknob was janky. I don’t think there was an elevator. Overall about what you’d expect for the price so I can’t complain that much.

Had to change rooms immediately after checkin because deadbolt had been compromised. In new room, window had been left unlocked /unsecure (ground floor room). Floor so dirty we washed it ourselves. Many many hairs in bathroom.

It’s exactly what you can expect, for the price and more. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect with a Wholes food across the street, A mall, several restaurants. Rooms are clean, and I was told they will be doing some remodeling. Perfect for travel medical professionals. I have made it my main stay while working in Albany. Very happy.

The entire place stunk of cigarette smoke and general dirtiness. The room had trash left over from the previous guest. The shower water would not stay the same temp, sometimes going cold like I was a old house and someone else was using the hot water. Every day, my key card would stop working and I would have to go and have them reactivate it. After several days, someone finally configured my key to work until my checkout day. The other employees didn't known how to properly program the key cards. I came back one time to a police officer in the lobby and the front desk person calling someone, telling them not to go in two of the rooms. I was never offered any clean towels, nor was my trash every taken. All that said, the staff were nice.

An unpleasant stay, mitigated by friendly staff who were making the most of it, putting a ring in the pig's snout. I can't list everything that was unsatisfactory, but here's a start: several cockroaches greeted me every day, no hot water in the bathroom sink, no hot water in the laundry room, poor condition or repair of almost everything, mismatched paint brushed over flaws everywhere, dirty, sticky floor, hairs that definitely weren't mine in the bathroom, smelled like cleaner covering who knows what, threadbare towels and linens, door slams shut, breakfast is a joke, need I say more? I will never use the Travelodge brand again. First and last time. Exercise room was adequate and clean, maybe because no one uses it.

There is a one-piece TV stand with draws in this room. The problem is the TV is not located in there it on the desk and chair set. The TV stand is only there for the draws. This looks a mess. You can't utilize the desk because the TV is on it.

Got to hotel at 7:30 pm and was not able to check in because we waited 20 minutes for a receptionist to come back to desk and decided to go elsewhere! Hotel reeked of weed and people doing drugs outside and felt unsafe to stay at hotel

Filthy room filthy bedding. Horrible location limited access to anything I now know that anything that it has to do with Travelodge is off my list. We had looked to stay there for two nights and had to leave would have left the first night had we had another option.

The first night, my room was missing a smoke detector, had black hair on the shower walls, and baseboards falling off. The next morning, I asked for a new room due to the safety concern. The front desk casually said it was probably removed so cigarette smoke wouldn’t set it off, which was alarming. They assigned me a new room that morning, but when I returned after 8 PM, I opened the door to find it hadn’t been cleaned, bed unmade, trash full of beer cans, and garbage everywhere. I went back to the front desk for yet another room. The third room seemed okay at first, but the toilet was clogged and wouldn’t flush. There was also black hair in the shower and on the towels. Throughout my stay, the hallways and outdoor areas smelled strongly of cigarettes and weed. The only positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, the condition and cleanliness of the rooms and facility were unacceptable, and I would not recommend staying here.

It is an older building so the door sticks a little bit overall it was great and can’t beat the price. I would stay there again !!!

Do not stay here! Rooms are in horrible condition. Paint peeling and my daughter was actually scared to stay here. Property needs a major overhaul. You can only enter through the main entrance door while the side doors can open up just for you to exit. I was told there is a grab and go breakfast bag in the morning and not a hot meal that I was expecting. There was a guy sitting outside near check in with bags of items as if he was homeless and needing a place to stay. Very sketchy hotel and because it’s for one night I’d survive but I do not recommend!

The pictures provided a different image of the place which was far from the reality. Also, it would have been good to know that the facility also operates as temporary housing for the low income or transitioning living (Coccoa facility) for those in need of shelter. I had no issue with that but it would have been good to have known during the selectorial process.
