Had a good stay and comfortable rooms but should offer coffee in the lobby for the morning.

Gemini helped me find this gym during my move from Maine to Kentucky really appreciated the owner and his wife and it was a very pleasant day easy to get to the room easy to get out of close to a lot of stores and restaurants. This is a bargain and it was a good night sleep the sheets and blankets and things were super clean. The water was good and hot and there was plenty of it. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.!!!

There was a problem with the AC being noisey and got it quiet but didn't work properly

Last minute stay for baseball tournament. Room served purpose of a place to sleep. Bathroom faucet leaked, discovered moldy ac vent in middle of the night, as room was not cooling off

Room at Scottish Inns in Albany, NY was great except for the very loud AC when it came on.

The ropm was absolutely filthy. The walls had old drips from something that they never cleaned. The shower was so slippery that we had to stand on a towel to avoid falling. Cobwebs in every corner. There were no blankets, just a thin dirty bedspread. w was never

Straight forward motel very clean and good rates . I ended up there because all other hotels in Albany were sold out but am considering using them now for business trips and save a lot of money ,

There was a dead mouse in the toilet when we went into the bathroom after unloading our things. Syrup under the glass top on the night stand. Rug was dirty and stained. Bed was ok.

Ok for sleeping, nothing special.

Conveniently located

Stayed in a smoking room this time, it wasn't bad; a few cigarette holes in the top blanket on the bed(kinda expected something like this before I got there). Apart from that the room and carpet overall were clean. Room had a microwave and mini fridge just like the non smoking room I stayed in the last time. Opted for a double bed or over a king sized bed room, I enjoyed it. Planning a longer trip next time, this will be the 3rd trip I spent there, I enjoy coming to this hotel.

Nice, Quiet, Affordable. Located near Sears shopping mall and Target with some other stores to see. Mini fridge and microwave were nice as was the cable tv. Furniture in the room I was in had some stains but nothing to bad or terrible. Bed and bed sheets were clean and comfortable. Carpet felt slightly odd to walk on in socks or barefoot(use slippers if you have them), carpet was not dirty tho. I would definitely recommend and I already booked another stay. 7.5 or 8/10, honestly a pleasant little hotel.

Room very clean. Deadbolt works. I did not try TV. Staff friendly to me. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and Scottish Inn is a good value for the price range, which is low for the Colonie Mall/Target area, Albany, NY. Close to major bus stop for getting around rest of city, and airport-train-bus stations within an hour.

The place was nothing like described, it is basically a cheap road MOTEL and not a hotel. The room had a horrible smell, a combination of cigarettes and a strong spray trying to cover that. The shower was broken, the reception did sent someone to fix it but there wasn't a proper solution besides trying to open it again and hope it will work. The room was filthy, the carpet was full of dirt and the sheets on the bed were not clean. There were no blankets on the bed (only a sheet) and the guy in the reception argued with us over the phone when we asked for 2 blankets (we were two people who are not a couple so sharing a blanket was not really an option. The atmosphere itself was not welcoming and a bit scary. We ended up leaving for another hotel after only 30 min there. Highly not recommended!

Cons: AC is the old under the window unit with heat, and was very loud. As others mentioned, place was overall clean except for a nasty stain on the carpeting. Verdict: Unless you need a smoking room, spend the extra $30 to stay somewhere newer/nicer.

Nice for a stay

This motel is well located, surrounding by many restaurants and stores. The parking space is big and well illuminated at night . The room has the basic amenities. Flat screen TV with usb and HMDI connections. WiFi was strong and reliable all times. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room upstairs. They gave me a room in the street level and in the morning the people upstairs was driving me crazy. The manager and the front desk lady well very nice and profesional.

Where do I start? There were cigarettes burns all over the bathroom(we choose non-smoking). The bathroom looked like it wasnt cleaned in weeks. Our heater/air didnt work. The gentalman at check in and out was rude. No breakfast ad stated in ad. NEVER AGAIN

THE t.v. wasn't working ... AND THE HEAT wasn't working....there wasn't ANY fitted sheets ON THE BED

This was a good motel --- in 1967. Now the carpet is highly soiled, and I had to ask help to vacuum the filthy place. Additionally, public charges in custody of Albany criminal justice system are staying here. I was awakened at 2 a.m. and kept awake until 6:30 a.m. by psyzophrenic occupant of room above me. I am suing Hospitality Inns, opertors of this hotel.

Facility needs upgrading. Bad smell. Bed not comfortable. No tissues. No hair conditioner. Location was very convenient. Check in was quick. Price was good.

The only major complaint would be that the outside light was right outside our window and it was very bright in our room because of that. Even with the curtains pulled closed it was still very bright. Some black out curtains would be great to help with this matter.

We came in very late from the airport. They allowed us to have an extra hour in the morning and were helpful in directing us to public transportation. There was a Dunkin Donut near by. Please stay.

The check in was quick and pleasant. The room and everything was very nice and clean. The mattress itself was too firm for my tastes. Unfortunately I did not get to stay on both nights because of an emergency situation nearby on the second night.

After using the restroom to pee the toilet backed up with somebody else's mess within 5 minutes of us checking in. I called the front desk and someone did respond quickly (it was after 11) but when he came in plunger in hand asked if I was going to plunge the toilet! Then left all the nasty water over toilet and floor. Thank goodness I always carry clorox wipes with me. The shower had no water pressure, the bed was like a rock. Front desk staff less than thrilled you were there.

I booked a 2 queen size one room, yet received a one bed room with a king size bed and told me that it was the only room they had even though I had reserved it hours in advance.

Room was dirty and not good. Won't recommend to any one even for one night stay.

The room was dirty. the people who clean left a 5 inch ring around the room of dust. When I took a shower in the morning there was a 2 inch silverfish insect running around the tub. pretty gross. The walls were patched, unsanded and then painted with many layers. all in all I will never stay here again at any price.

We travel for work and just need a decent place to stay at night. The room has A/C, Cable tv, refridgerator, microwave and a clean bathroom. We will definitely stay here again.

It was simple, as I expected for the price. The only thing that was really not acceptable was the shower, which has the habit of changing temperature spontaneously and unpredictably.

We stayed one night while attending a concert in the area. It was clean, quiet and affordable. The AC works very well, and the shower was great.

Did notstay. Smelled like mold and cigarette nasty. And they won't give money back in did not stay there!

Just needed a bed for a quick stop. Desk person, who I took for an owner, seemed to be put out by my late arrival (10:30). I went straight to bed and got up at 5. Showered then left. Nothing fancy but did the job.

This was a no frills hotel. Perfect for our layover to our final destination. Met our needs for a very reasonable rate!

If you need a place just to sleep this is the place.

Bottom line would I stay here again? Maybe, depends on my other choices in the area and my budget.

Not worth it.. it was really bad i swear i would never tell anyone to go there at all.. the owner wasn't plz he was upset for some reason so dont go there at all bad management. Anything cheap never good at all trust me so have ur money and get some where good an done.. so u can sleep comfortable in the night thats all i have to say about this place

Last minute reservation to attend a concert. Very low price vs. normal price. No coffee maker in room and none ready in office, although they offered to make some.

Room was cancelled upon a late check in without any notice. Was left only with the option of a smoking room.
