It wasn't the buffet breakfast I thought it would be

It smelt terrible,the room was gross, no fire alarm in the room

The facility was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable, but that is all that I can say that was good about our stay. There was a distinct oder in our room which I thought would dissipate with the air conditioning but, to our dismay, it did not. We had two room. In one room the faucet handle in the bathroom came off, in the other room there was no faucet handle at all. The decorative cap covering the screws on the grab bar in the tub was just left hanging at the bottom bar. The pull chain on the shade was broken - I actually climb up and fix it. It seemed like simple repairs were just ignored. That is too bad because the staff was quite friendly.

Breakfast was great, waffles and a variety of ala-cart options Everything was well stocked and fresh. Door access panel was broken so you had to walk back to the front to get in. One of the ice machines was missing. Functioning and aesthetics can be improved overall

We had asked to be allowed into our reservation a few hours before our check in time. Although they were still cleaning the rooms they did an exceptional job at it for the fact that they had just gotten the room available for service and the little bit of time we waited to be given a key. No comment. It was a great experience for the first visit. Will use this place again if I need to.

Not a whole lot to say about this location. Bed was comfortable. Very basic accommodation. Breakfast was definitely lacking. Waffle maker or cold cereal were the main choices for food.

Were stayed here for the weekend with our two boys and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Honestly, for the price we were expecting much worse, but it was clean, beds were VERY comfortable and breakfast was good! Easy parking and good wifi connection. The boys liked the pool, but we wished it had been heated, it was pretty cold. Overall, nice experience and would stay again especially at the price we got it for.

Property was clean, ample parking, easy check in/check out process. Only complaint was that there was zero protein for breakfast - no eggs, sausage, bacon. Mostly carb heavy - breads, oats, waffles, cereal. The selection of apples were great.

I called Monday morning to the hotel, and spoke to Nicole. I was frustrated and upset, and spoke in a frustrated voice. Nicole hung up on me, as I was speaking. When I called back, she did not answer. I called from another number, and when she answered, she said she was not going to listen to me scream. I was at work at the time, and was sitting in an office that would not have tolerated me screaming. After I spoke to Nicole for a few minutes, she gave me Sandy (the general manager's schedule, so that I could reach out to her as to why my reservation was cancelled, and why I was not notified. I called and spoke to Sandy on Tuesday, who did not have many answers for me, and said she would investigate the situation, and call me back. As of today, Thursday, I have not heard from Sandy. I can assure you, I will never book with Choice Hotels again. I wanted to write a review on Quality Inn's website, but can not access it, as I didn't receive a link, as the link is sent once you check out, and my room was cancelled.

The single queen room I stayed in was very nice and the WiFi worked great for some last-minute meeting prep I had to do. Breakfast was free with the room, and the coffee was hot. Typical fare, but it was ready and kept refreshed. Everything was clean and to my satisfaction. On-site parking was free and plentiful. The staff at the desk were pleasant and helpful. I was in Albany for 1 night, and I am already planning a second 1 night business meeting in June and looking to stay here again. Check in to check out, everything was very simple. Gas for the car in the AM, and a breakfast sandwich next door (2 for $6), and away I went! (not a plug for the store, but literally steps from the hotel).

The breakfast was ok, it could have been better. .No eggs or protein was served. The room was spacious however, was missing soap in the bathroom. I called front desk for liquid soap. I Was told not until the next morning.

Lobby was very clean and pleasant. Room is not very big but was clean and remodeled well. Bed was very comfortable. You could open the window for natural air which is a plus for me. Shower pressure and temperature was good. Very close to variety of restaurants. The only shortcoming was breakfast choice was limited. Practically no protein.

Quality Inn was very clean and accommodating in Albany area of NY .The staff are friendly and helpful with plenty of parking. Convenient to many stores and restaurants and attractions.

The smells were overwhelming in the room, and hallways. Just terrible. Windowsills not cleaned, appeared to have dried blood. Air conditioner slats were broken, and when we tried to use it, puffs of dust and debris shot out. The bathroom was clean. Hallway rugs were unvacummed and were dirty as well. We won’t stay in a Quality Inn again.

We were on the second floor, which is being remodeled. The hallway smelled of rug glue (?) and several doors were opened with the heat blasting. My guess is it was at least 85 in the hall. Our room was fine once we were able to get passed all the furniture in the hallway. Oh, there is no elevator, carry your own luggage up the stairs. Beds were fine, and the shower was very good.

DO NOT STAY HERE. IT HAD A HORRIBLE SMELL WALKING IN. THE HALLWAYS WERE FILLED WITH FURNITURE. OUR BEDS HAD HAIR ALL OVER THEM, INSIDE THE SHEET. THERE WERE STAINS ALL OVER THE COMFORTER!!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. WE WALKED OUT

Changed my room to a smaller one at check in due to a large group checking in, I didn't appreciate that. Phone line was cut had to use my cellphone to call the front desk for fresh towels and then was told I had to walk to the front desk to get it.

Staff was friendly. Very clean and remodeled. Hot tea and coffee available 24 hrs. Price was reasonable. Microwave and coffee maker in room. I stayed two nights and would stay gain if I have to come back to Albany NY.

The breakfast area was small and not well stocked. I didn't see anyone actively wiping down tables or restocking items. I had booked 2 rooms. The first room was fine. The second room was down the hall a little bit and unfortunately someone in another room was smoking marijuana which permeated into the hallway and their room. They decided to find another hotel. The front desk staff was sympathetic and I was issued a refund for the second room. I don't blame the hotel for the disrespectful behavior of its patrons; they did the right thing.

There is a need for them to entertain upgrading the room lighting. The room seemed very dark if you entered and flips the light on. The single switch in the entryway turned on an overhead light that is to sum. An investment in a higher wattage bulb would be a wise one. That switch also controls the plug that has the (broken) table lamp at the writing desk, the entire bulb/shade assembly is hanging by its wires, created a pretty certain electrical hazard at some point in the future. The last not is the condition of the window still and the window shades. The windowsill is either rotted or else it is an unusual example of old workshops. The window shades take some getting used to with an it one that's is room blackening and an inner to translucent one. The problem with them is that they are controlled by endless loop pull chains that are out of sync with their corresponding drive gears. The bathroom looks like it has been recently remodeled and looks beautiful with new utilities and fixtures but the would it kill you re m to go the extra $5.00 and put in allow falling toilet seats? I know I would appreciate it and don't doubt that the vast majority of your other guests would also All in all, we really did enjoy our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again

Easy check in process.Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Adequately stocked linens. Included breakfast although the options were lacking. Finding the entrance was a bit confusing. Signage & directions to the entrance need improvement. Also, the system deactivates the room key cards the day of checkout even before checkout time! Had to visit the desk twice to reactivate the key cards. Overall, the stay was adequate for my family's needs. I would stay here again.

When we got to our room, there was a poop stain on the toilet seat — completely disgusting. Clearly, housekeeping doesn’t do their job properly. The pool area was just as bad: the water was dirty, freezing cold, and surrounded by a horrible smell that made us leave almost immediately. It’s obvious this place hasn’t been maintained in a long time. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The woman at the front desk acted like she hated being there, and I saw at least two guests complain and ask to switch rooms. I booked a king bed, but a few days before check-in, my reservation was changed to two queens. Breakfast was pathetic. Hardly any options, and the waffle maker took three full minutes for one waffle — the line never moved. It was beyond frustrating. This place is filthy, smelly, and completely mismanaged. The staff doesn’t care, the rooms aren’t clean, and the whole hotel reeks. I wouldn’t recommend this dump to anyone. Save your money and go anywhere else. This place should honestly be inspected.

Great hotel to stay with family. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. I had my grand kids with me and they enjoyed it. The hotel was located in a great area close to restaurants and malls.

There were no issues other than the hotel is located on a busy road. Many cars coming and going from Albany, NY. VERY busy. Be careful!

Saw roach crawling on pillow the morning I checked out. Didn’t leave the best impression and then I couldn’t stop wondering what may have crawled on me while I was asleep. Housekeeping also knocked before checkout and asked us to leave the door ajar. Not sure if he meant when we left or while we were still in the room.

The room we were originally placed in had a leaking air conditioner, which left an odor and a giant wet spot on the floor of the room. We notified the front desk, and they worked to move us into a different room quickly. It took until the next morning, which wasn't ideal, but we did appreciate that the staff was on top of the situation and left a note for the employee in the morning to ensure it happened as quickly as possible.

The property is great it's in a great location as well close to lots of shopping places the one thing i don't love about the hotel is the carpet needs a good cleaning. Otherwise lovely place, great staffs, quiet neighborhood and overall i really enjoy my stay. I would definitely recommend.

My wife booked the place because of the advertised breakfast which was supposed to have good options. Guests can make two kinds of waffles, but there is no meat protein available. Be careful of the coffee machine. It is easy to select the lower button which gives you cold coffee. Press the upper button if you want a hot beverage.

We were also rushed out of our room in the morning, despite being told check-out was at 11 AM. Housekeeping knocked on the door well before that and made it clear we needed to leave. Breakfast was another letdown. We were told it would be available until 11, but by 9:45 the attendant was already cleaning everything up, leaving very little to choose from. The room itself was messy and clearly not cleaned thoroughly. We found a bag of Nerds Clusters and a lone malt ball on the floor, along with random stains on the comforters. It just felt dirty and neglected. This was not the experience we expected, and we definitely won’t be returning. One star.

Cleanliness is the biggest issue at this place. Hallways smelled, room wasn’t cleaned properly, the pillow cases were visibly dirty, one of the bed had hair in it and the sheets were clearly not changed, and we found a centipede in that bed. The other bed was less visibly dirty, so we slept in that bed. Floors were disgusting and bathroom cleanliness was average.

We just stayed for one night, so it was fine for that. Room was somewhat clean, but there was a sunflower seed and hairties on the ground, a small stain on the bed, and other areas were visibly dusty. Pool was open so that was nice. Property overall is average. Got an email from the general manager the night before saying we were upgraded to a room with 2 beds, but that was not the case upon check-in. Bed itself was really comfortable though. Our tv did not work in the room

Overall was good. Just a stop on a road trip. Check in clerk had her phone up pretty loud watxhing tv the entire time she checked me in. I reserved 2 beds, got 1. And the remote was absolutely filthy. Good otherwise.

I put my fan on for the shower and it reaked of marijuana! Coffee wasn't on at 5:45 a.m. the front desk person said it was 24 hours, and instead of helping me, btw he wasn't busy, told me to come back after 6a.m. The room was HOT! No ac running..the lobby was hot for breakfast, no ac running... This place was disgusting! And the dirty shirt on the kitchen help was a complete turn off! I'm sure he didn't was his hands, let alone his clothes or body . Litter everywhere around the property, and the day shift staff was lazy at best!!!

Refrigerator broken throughout 3 night stay. Offered to replace but didn’t. They only make the beds on request. Downstairs bathroom out of order. Bannister on stairs detached. Led to near fall. Needed 2 screws. They didn’t repair it through our stay. The a/c was not central. Made it cold, but not comfortable. I’m not sure why it had a setting for Cool and another setting for Dry, but I awoke to a partially eaten Tootsie Roll being completely damp with water from the air. Except for front desk, none of the staff spoke English. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Googlemaps hmwas quite confused about directions. The property itself is actually easy to find. Thecstaff were very, very pleasant and the room emwas very clean and quiet.

We were booked for a room with a King Size bed which this facility didnt have. Received an email we had been changed to a room with 2 queen beds. Was put in a room with 1 queen bed. When the air-conditioner didnt work, our room was switched and we were told there were no rooms with 2 queen beds either. But we were put in a room with2 queen beds! And the vending machine didn't work. Overall, the room was fine.

It’s ok for the price, doesn’t smell the cleanest and definitely needs some updating. Convenient location, very close to Dunkin, Dairy Queen and a gas station. Pool was open, not the cleanest either but didn’t bother my youngest to go swimming! Beds were comfortable, air conditioning was cold. Would probably stay again.

We liked the easy access to the hotel and the parking. The staff in the morning was very nice. The room was outdated, with cigarette's burns on the furniture and a stench. The beds were clean but the bedding smelled like mold. The bathroom's floor was dirty and the shower head was broken.

The stay was good for the time I stayed there.

Worked for what we needed but pool was closed for the entire stay, washer/dryer barely worked. Difficult to communicate with front desk.

Nice and clean hotel, however it does not have elevator

The pool was not working. The bathroom sink was broken. The rooms were dirty. The floors are disgusting. The sheets are not clean. They were stained.

Staff was nice, room was clean

Old, musty the place felt dirty. It took 20+ minutes to check in. Room smelled like it was cleaned with a dirty rag. I would never stay there again, the whole property felt off.

This property was disgusting! From the moment the doors opened, the smell of marijuana and clouds of smoke were overbearing!

Pool freezing and moldy staff unkind

On day of checkout room service tried entering at 830am the lobby was calling at 915 to remind of check out at 11 and 1015 room service again tried entering starting u need to check out I said not now come back at 11 they were just rude

We got in, and our room was filled with a cloud and haze from weed. While not their fault, the had to way to air out the room without just leaving the door open. They came in with some spray. But, then the room smelled terrible of pee. The shower was handicap friendly, but the shower curtain was well outside of it, and water was all over the floor in the bathroom after the four of us showered. There's no insulation between floors/rooms and you can hear everything.
