    Marriot. We used the coffee maker for hot water to make tea as well as the iron. I appreciated the shower and toilet were separate from the vanity and mirror which made it easier for us to get dressed. I would not stay there again.

    We went for our daughter’s graduation. Had 5 rooms total and almost every room had issues, from our air conditioning not going below 73 to others with ac and tv issues. Very overpriced for the hotel and I’m sad to write this because I love the Hilton brand.

    I left a message at the property although it was perplexing that a call to the hotel was not answered. I was at no time advised that the reservation was made by a third party. IT WAS APPRENTLY A SECRET That EXPEDIA WAS BROUGHT IN AS A THIRd PARTY. The next day I received a call from the hotel saying they could not cancel the reservation because t hey did not get my message until the next day. So I had to pay one days fees and the second day was then cancelled. 😡. I feel that was deceptive. What’s I did cancel the day before. It is fraud if the big hotel change has a policy that is not made public and this results in the consumer pays the price. I had been a Marriott Bonvoy member years ago. This was not the policy then. It is quite a surprise to learn they are unable to have a person available to respond to a customer during weekends at a hotel property. I don’t expect to renew that membership!

    The bedding was Nelly and not clean. It was also put backwards. N ok WiFi, TV didn’t work couldn’t see any other channels. Carpet is so dirty that it left black marks on my feet. Smell of the hallway was distinct also the second night there was a huge group and they were very noisy at 11:29 till 12 am. And in the morning the were noisy again waking each others. Overall I don’t think I’ll choose Marriott again.

    We had a terrible stay. We were given a room that was either occupied or not turned over. When we entered, the beds were unmade, food in the garbage, cups on the counter. The front desk gave us a new room. The new room had a terrible odor but we decided to stay. In the middle of the night someone was trying to enter our room, opening our door. I had the inner safety lock so they could not come in. When I spoke with the manager he told me no one could come in without a key. I feel like there was an error and I was unhappy with the resolution. They offered me extra Marriott points, however given the lack of safety while traveling alone with my daughter I expected more. I was very disappointed.

    This hotel is in need of some tlc. Outside the parking lot is full of potholes and the sidewalk is uneven, which is hard to navigate if you have any mobility issues. Staff were courteous. On the way to the room we saw empty alcohol cups littered on the floor and the ice machine was broken. I side the room- the toilet paper holder was broken, the space in the bathroom was TINY, and the shower has some dirty caulk. Plus the shower handle was very loose. WORST of all the ac/heater made an huge noise that woke us up over and over all night long. Over all I was not happy with this room and will not book again.

    From the moment we arrived the front desk staff and the restaurant/bar team were outstanding - friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They really set the tone for the great stay. We stayed in room 538 which had a king size bed that was incredibly comfortable. The room was spacious clean and had excellent blackout shades, which made it easy to relax and sleep. The only issue we ran into was the morning cleaning staff starting around 7 AM. There was a lot of loud talking near the linen room as if people were shouting across a long distance. One morning, I had to leave early for errands and could clearly hear someone talking very loudly again. When I opened the door I saw one of the cleaning staff on her phone, using a hands-free device speaking loudly from inside the linen room. I asked why are you so loud and she just smiled without saying anything. It felt inconsiderate to guest who might still be sleeping. Aside from that everything else about the stay was excellent. The hotel itself the amenities and especially the front desk and the restaurant staff made the experience extremely positive. I would definitely stay here again - I just hope management can address the early morning noise from housekeeping.

    Room was decently clean. Stay was not good due to horrible internet service and the streaming services on the TV was not working. When I asked about the streaming service, the front desk agent was very sarcastic in saying that "it's not going to get fixed tonight" which I did not find funny at all. The TV had just a limited amount of channels. The room also need better lighting. However, the shower was awesome with good water pressure. Overall, my stay was very disappointing which is not what I expected from a Marriott property. Ray

    Staff notified me that this had been going on for two days, yet they didn't tell me until it was time to check in.     Room was VERY far from the parking garage. There was no internet or streaming available so the front desk asked if I wanted to cancel. I didn't, but was surprised they didn't offer a free pastry or muffin with their morning coffee(4 .00 dollars) as a trade. Especially since most places have these for FREE!! lol. Walk from garage to room was way too far. Will not stay again due to this.

    Pool and workout room were nice but no sanitization spray in workout room. Our room was not super clean as I would expect for a Mariott.     Someone was smoking marijuana and the smell was a little bothering check-in. Staff was very friendly.     Beds were comfortable. Bathroom. Why is the shower door right by the door to open it? It moves the floor mat so you don’t slip getting out of the shower every time. Simple solution would have been for the door to be on the other side as it’s also really annoying to have to reach through the freezing cold water to even get to the handle. Ice cold water comes out, your hand shoots back and then you have to put your hand in until you can figure out and get the water warm. Sounds small to some but I have RA and right in the AM after using warm water in the sink to help my joints and went down the drain when I got in the shower. The internet kept going out (even the manager couldn’t get online and had to write down the snacks I got to charge when it came on). While I’m sure he did everything he could, we could all feel his stress and he had no help up front that I saw. So kiddos to him but he should have had staff to help. The fans are out as heck and obnoxious. You either have the heat with the loud fan or no heat. You have a pool and kids swimming hut all windows are clear as day for ANYONE to see inside. From my 6th floor room I could look and clearly see into the pool. Protect your guests privacy better.

    I expected more from a Marriott. The room was fair overall. It was clean and that is a plus. Cold air was blowing in through the closed sliding door and when I attempted to shower, there was nothing but scolding water, no matter which position the faucet was in. It made for a really crappy day as I had to get bottled water from the room and use that to wash. That was at 4 o’clock in the morning when I had to leave. My wife and son were also unable to take a shower and that was right at 12 PM check out.

    Check-in was made easy and simple. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was very clean well organized and warm on a cold day which was welcoming. Did you get a chance to go to the bar but it was open till 11 PM which was convenient. In the morning we were able to get coffee and a cappuccino. The barista was very kind and friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and I’ll definitely be staying at this hotel again!

    I am writing to formally express our disappointment regarding the unresolved issues we faced during our recent stay at your establishment. Upon checking into our room, we immediately noticed that the air conditioning was not functioning, making the room extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, the main light switch was defective and could not be turned off, which further disrupted our experience, especially during the night. At 10pm, we promptly informed the front desk about these problems and requested a room change. We had to wake our kids up for this matter. We also asked to speak with a manager to address our concerns. The front desk employee assured us that a manager would call us back to follow up on the situation. Unfortunately, we never received any communication, nor was the matter resolved during our stay. Given the inconvenience, lack of basic room functionality, and the absence of any follow-up from your management, we find this experience far below the standards of service we expected. We kindly request a refund as compensation for the significant discomfort and poor customer service we encountered. We trust that you will take this matter seriously and address it promptly.     The floors were visibly dirty, the bathroom appeared not to have been properly cleaned, and there were black, mold-like spots in the shower. For the price we paid, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and comfort. While I want to acknowledge that the front desk staff was kind and accommodating, the condition of the room made our experience far below what we’ve come to expect from Marriott. It has certainly made me hesitant about choosing other Marriott locations in the future.     We stayed at the Marriott to attend our son’s graduation from University at Albany. The location was great, it was so close to all of the stores and restaurants which were so convenient. Great bar and restaurant at the property where we had breakfast. Staff was friendly. Our room was okay, the bathroom was a strange layout, the toilet was so close to the shower. You had to be careful not to knock your head on the shower door. However, my father stayed in a room down the hall from us and his bathroom was fine. The hallways could use some updating. But it was a clean space and the hotel met our needs.

    Get to room. No water bottles. A full Marriott at $250 a night and they can’t leave water in the room? Is this Motel 6? Called front desk for water. Phone rings three times then disconnects. System is broken. Went to front desk. They are busy. Wait in line for water. Desk staff is nice. They have already told manager rooms should have water. Manager has not made it happen. Next morning for breakfast. Pancakes and crispy bacon. 20+ minutes for food. Bacon is soggy. Sorry they are waiting for the oven to heat up. Ate the pancakes (excellent) and left never got the bacon. Waitress said she told them first time bacon was wrong. Why did they serve it? Overall this facility needs a new general manager.

    This hotel was honestly amazing. The bed felt like I was laying on a cloud. It had the best shower head I've ever had, in a hotel. The only reason I'm giving this a 4-star is because both the indoor and outdoor pool was very cold. My son was very excited to have a pool and we didn't last more than 20 minutes due to its temperature.

    The room had chipped paint, curtains that dragged on the floor, no bathroom fan, a chipped cabinet, "art" consisting of wallpaper in a frame with a large bubble in the middle, poor lighting requiring a flashlight to fill the coffeemaker, an old barely working refrigerator, no free wi-fi (really?) and finally, was advertised as a king with a sleeper sofa, but was a king with a chair. I suspect that this was their room for Expedia users. The property was poorly maintained with no usable back door for those unfortunate enough to be in room 172. Better than camping, but not much!

    I usually stay at a different hotel nearby when I visit Albany, but I opted for the Mariott this time (even though it was about $50 more a night). When I opened my hotel room door, there was another 30ft blank hallway beyond it (?) before I turned the corner to my room. The tile of this hallway into the bedroom was greasy/slimy - my sneakers slid a bit on it when I was standing still. The room also had a 'screaming toilet' (there was air in the line, and it made a repeated high-pitched noise). The internet in this room required a cost of $13/night and breakfast was another $20. So, not only was the hotel room dirty (slimy floor) and in disrepair (toilet), the amenities that were free at the other hotel I had to pay for here. I had stayed in a Mariott property in Florida last year, and I expected better from this company. The only saving grace was the truly wonderful front desk woman who was extremely helpful. I would not recommend this hotel, and certainly not at this price point.

    There was a VFW conference being held at the hotel. The participants booked suites and held parties until late into the night that were loud and there was excessive cigarette smoke that permeated the halls of the hotel. The staff did was very helpful and moved our room away from one of the parties (at almost 11pm), but it was impossible to escape the cigarette smoke which was everywhere.

    A duplicate set of keys were given to another guest who entered my room while I was sleeping. I was done awoken by hotel staff and was told I needed to go to the lobby to identify myself. Horrible non-apologetic front desk person. House keeping entered my room at 6 am.

    We had a lovely stay. Only complaint would be the shower temperature was unable to be controlled. We were at the end of the hallway and it was TOO hot to handle in the morning and too cold to handle at night. So I was unable to take a shower. The temperature ( when too hot) was quite dangerously high.

    Excellent hotel. Clean, comfortable, nice shower and bathroom area. Friendly service and staff. The only disappointing area was the breakfast. It's not included and extremely over priced.

    Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is old. It looks like they remodeled but did a very cheap job. My room was okay but other people in our group had cleanliness issues and heating/cooling issues. The breakfast at the hotel was awful. I would advise against spending the $20 for the breakfast buffet.

    I arrived at 3:30 for a 4:00 check in and was told my room was not ready. I waited until 4:00 to ask again and they said my room would not be ready for a while because they were booked. I sat around for another hour and still my room was not done. The manager said the only thing I can do for you is offer you FREE CANCELATION. I asked how is that going to help me? I already have no room. I said that I had dinner reservations for 7pm and needed somewhere to get ready. He did not care and said there is nothing I can do for you. I can give you a voucher for a free drink. I originally reserved a room with 2 queen beds and ended up with a room with 1 king bed because otherwise I would not have had a room until after 9pm. My father's room was not ready either. He had to put all his belongings into my room and get ready in there. We left for dinner at 6:45 and asked if his room was ready on our way out and it was not. We came back from dinner around 9:30 and he was finally able to get into his room. The manager informed us that he made 51,000.00 a year, the hotel has not been booked since 2019, and that the housekeepers were working very slowly. All irrelevant information for a person paying to stay in a room that was not available when they needed it to be. Also,we had to send time in the bar/restaurant area of the hotel while waiting for hours. I bought a glass of wine and it cost me $22.00. I thought it was a mistake and asked the server and I was told no sorry that is the price.

    I had to change rooms because my non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. When I checked out there were 2 people on the ground floor room with the sliding door open smoking pot. Not a good situation with children.
