Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and accommodating nature. The location is also a highlight, with guests appreciating its proximity to restaurants and stores. However, cleanliness is a recurring issue, with several guests complaining about stains, dirt, and unclean bathrooms. The breakfast, while generally well-received, is sometimes criticized for its limited options and dry food.
- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Convenient location near restaurants and stores
- Cleanliness issues, including stains and dirt
- Breakfast options and quality are sometimes lacking

Malls, restaurants, grocery stores and other interests were within a reasonable driving distance. I would definitely want to stay at Home2Suites again whenever I am in the Albany area.

The hotel was very nice the room was clean the staff was very nice the breakfast was ok would stay here again.

Handy. Better value than other places The AC was too loud. Otherwise, everything was very nice
- 4/5
Really good experience; nice a quite location. My only issue was that the door handle (room 220) was malfunctioning and we had trouble opening the door. As we were staying just one night we managed. Otherwise we had a good stay.

Super clean and bright!

The room was not cleaned on a daily basis, nor were additional towels supplied…I had to request clean towels…but besides that the staff was amazing and my kids had a blast

I booked this hotel a month in advance in preparation for my son's college graduation. I have been communicating with them via email and have received confirmation that my rooms would be available. Upon arrival, I check in at the front desk and was informed that my rooms were no longer available and they overbooked. This is beyond unprofessional! My family and I were inconvenienced with no consideration. There was no communication prior to even inform me that the rooms were gone. As a Hilton member I am beyond disappointed and do not anticipate spending my money with this company any further.

When i arrived I was told the hotel was full. I had booked it through Expedia. They had sent me an email telling me the hotel could not honor my reservation - but alas I don't read email while I am driving!! So I was very disappointed. They offered to send me to a sister hotel in East Greenbush but that is where I had already driven through to get there - and I was heading west that next day not east. I found accommodations myself west of Albany which were fine but I did not have a chance to change my clothes for the event I was attending nearby because of this mix up. I am very disappointed in Expedia. I have always felt confident booking through them.

It’s a little challenging to find the main entrance. Not your typical large overhang with big glass doors. I was on the 4th floor. 20 minutes into my stay, both elevators were put out of service. They stayed out of service for the duration of my stay. Nobody even showed up to fix them. Not easy with a bad knee. The other problem is the stairs only lead directly outside, not to the lobby. So the exterior door was propped open all night, allowing access to the entire hotel by anyone walking by. No security at all. The place looked nice, but there is no pressure in the showers. It was the worst I ever experienced. It was literally just dripping. No flow at all. As far as the breakfast, it’s very limited. They had croissants, but they were as hard as rocks. I tried toasting them…no good. I guess they ran out of eggs, I only saw a couple of hard boiled. Someone asked for scrambled and were told no. Overall, nice looking, newer place, but forget showering, forget breakfast, and book a lower floor.

Room was clean. Smelled great. Staff was friendly. Close to restaurants and shopping!

I prepaid for 5 rooms for my coworkers. I made clear that one coworker was going to be delayed and I wasn’t sure when they would arrive. Hotel said no problem and put the key aside. When my coworker arrived at 3 in the morning, they wouldn’t let her in and had given away her PREPAID room. I asked for a refund for that room and there has been no movement on that b

Very clean; quite nice pool and gym; common area is nicely laid out so you can sit and chat or eat your meal. Many hearty options for breakfast and ample for all. Good coffee. Quiet room and convenient parking. Very close to the airport and easy to find.

Very clean and spacious room with a little kitchenette, furnished with everything you may need for a shorter or longer stay. Breakfast was good - eggs, sausage biscuits and waffle maker. Elevator wasn’t working. The hotel is near a mall so lots of dining options around.

The staff is welcoming and helpful. They communicated throughout our stay to see if there was anything we needed. The property was well maintained and the rooms were extremely clean. The suite had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was top notch! We will stay here again if we are in the area!
- 5/5
Very spacious and comfortable, bed was comfortable room was clean
- 4/5
The breakfast was a notch worse than most hotels with meager low quality choices. The suite was very clean, with great lighting and plug in options, and superbly furnished with plenty of space and choices for sitting, eating, stashing stuff, and working, in our one bedroom suite. The kitchen was well thought out and decently equipped.
- 1/5
When we arrived the elevators were down, we were on the 4th floor. My daughter has cerebral palsy and my sister is handicap. Neither have a wheelchair but the stairs were a huge challenge. When we were getting ready for bed, we pulled out the couch to make the bed, there was only 2 small pillows and a sheet. No comforter so I attempted to call the front desk which took over an hour for someone to finally pick up and I asked for a comforter and 2 pillows. About a 1/2 hour later they knocked on the door (10:30 pm) and left them outside. We’ve stayed here before and it was pretty good; unfortunately after this last visit I’m not sure we will go back. 😞
- 5/5
Staff was hands down fantastic and room was pristine

All buffet! Didn’t care for the omlettes
- 5/5
Staff is always nice. I love the rooms. Comfortable, full refrigerator and a table i can pull out and work on anywhere in the room. I try to stay here every time i have to come in for work.
- 5/5
Uniquely designed to be close to but far enough away from the main traffic and business traffic! A lot of food and shopping services surrounding the hotel with coffee shops also close by.

Excellent amenities, spacious room.

The rooms were clean and ALL STAFF was courteous. Also location near airport and restaurants.

The front desk people were helpful and cheerful. The breakfast woman was NOT a happy camper! Lovely suite, quiet and clean. Will stay there whenever we're in Albany.
- 5/5
conveniently located, room was roomy, well laid out. Personnel helpful, friendly but breakfast was disappointing. Coffee was good but hard boiled eggs are a challenge to peel and the warm food was contained in an oven difficult to access i.e. hold it's door open with one hand and try to spear the food with the other.
- 5/5
Excellent room, good variety for breakfast, within close driving distance of restaurants.
- 5/5
Clean Rooms
- 5/5
Breakfast crew were great
- 4/5
When we arrive at the hotel to hotel, staff was unable to find our booking room throughhotel.com and charge us the fee but afterwards the staff did find our booking and corrected it for us
- 5/5
Great location. Enjoyed the outdoor firepit and table
- 5/5
Great hotel.
- 4/5
Property is off the main road and quiet. I didn’t like the air conditioner in the room it was extremely loud and the seat on the toilet was loose. Staff was helpful, kind and courteous. Breakfast was okay but need better selection
- 5/5
The hotel staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Place was modern, couch was firm and not comfy. HDMI was broken. Bed was comfortable. Huge room! Nice privacy and separate bedroom. Huge bathroom, but no tub. Very large. Housekeeping didn't come the first 3 days so the room smelled like leftover food in the trash, but they came the last few days.
- 3/5
This is the 3rd Home 2 we've stayed out. The room is large and well-equipped for multi-day stays. Staff was friendly. Breakfast options were limited, of course. Room air conditioning was a unit next to the bed and loud. Shower control was inconsistent. TV operation was very complicated and not at all user-friendly.
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast
- 4/5
We stay here often due to the hotel location. They would not accept my hilton reward number due to booking via expedia. Breakfast was small. All staff were very friendly. They gym was clean & very well stocked.
- 5/5
Big and huge room, lots of space to put stuff, the kitchen area, microwave, refrigerator, and other are excellent. I believe everybody would like to book at home 2 suites as the first choice. Overall, my stay at home 2suites was excellent. Thank you

- 5/5
It was the best sleep my husband ever had!!!
- 1/5
Only positive was , when we checked in the gentleman was very pleasant. I wish I knew his name for recommendation.
- 5/5
I think the property, the staff, and the overall experience was excellent.
- 5/5
wonderful!
- 3/5
The eating inside the hotel was closed most of the time we were there . There was no place to get coffee in the morning or late nights. Most hotels I stay in have 24 /7 coffee service, this was a must for me as I am a late night early morning person and like to grab a cup of tea or coffee and just relax, this was not accessible at any time , so this was a negative for me.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay, nice room staff was great biggest surprise was the breakfast! Large selection and delicious. Recommend this place to anyone
- 4/5
Pet fee is listed as 50 per stay in Expedia but was told its 75 when I arrived. Room was generally clean and new looking, and the old soiled sofa was replaced with a new one while we were there. Nice large TV with cable channels, a small kitchen area without a stove. Breakfast was OK.
- 1/5
Had to wait until 5:30 to check in when check in is at 3:00 never gave me a clear reason as to why i couldn’t check in and did nothing to reimburse or compensate me for having to sit in the parking lot for 2 and a half hours waiting
- 4/5
Rating would have better if they weren’t under renovation.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay. Had everything we needed and close to shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
The staff at front desk are very pleasant. Linens are very clean, hot breakfast is excellent. Couch had stains on it but that was the only 'dirt' I saw.
- 5/5
Newly remodeled rooms - everything was *fresh*. Len did a great job at check in. Fitness center was, honestly, better than most I've seen in a hotel.
- 5/5
The perfect place for your visit to Albany. It is located on a quiet and safe neighborhood. The rooms are spacious, clean and cozy. It has a kitchen with a standard refrigerator, cutlery, dishwasher and all you need to make coffee. The breakfast was so complete and delicious. There's parking available. Higly recommended.
- 4/5
The hotel is being renovated , which will be great for future guests. Our only issue was the noise associated with this work that began at 8 am on the floor below. Otherwise… all was great!
- 5/5
Nice room with microwave and refrigerator.
- 1/5
nothing like their buffalo/amherst property. did not like.
- 2/5
It was only a one night stay but be aware that they don't offer two double beds in any of their rooms. It's King only with pullout couch. The breakfast was just ok, the utensils were thrown in a drawer and didn't seem very sanitary.
- 5/5
100/10 excellent service, very good breakfast, and cleanliness, excellent comfort
- 2/5
The rug were stained. We had to wait a long time to check in. At 4am fight in the hallway.
- 5/5
During a time of uncertainty in our family, an event that requires multiple trips to a hospital nearby, the comfort of staying in such a nice place helps ease a travelers mind. The randomness of kindness from strangers and also the staff there is what makes everything bearable and I have only the most positive experiences at this point with any of my stays at any Hilton. Thank you to the amazing staff especially being so kind and accommodating at this time!
- 5/5
The staff was great/ helpful. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast bar was delicious.
- 5/5
Carpets are outdated and stained but overall a great hotel.
- 3/5
Unfortunately, upon arriving to our room we discovered it had not been properly cleaned or sanitized. There was men and women’s hair in the shower and on the bathroom counter, residue on the kitchen counter, and food wrappers stuck to the dishes. I chose this hotel based on others previous reviews and have to say I was disappointed by the cleanliness and by the responsiveness of staff. I attempted to connect with the front desk via the Hilton app and asked to have the room serviced while we were out but did not receive any response. The room was also stained and worn in most areas. Check in was less than ideal as it seemed the staff were stressed trying to clean and ready rooms at check-in time.
- 2/5
We had requested a pack and play crib, which they could not provide (they had said that they had one) the first day. We got it on the second day again after speaking to the supervisor. Upon checking out they would not email me the receipt (which I still do not have) and said that since we had booked through expedia our email and other access are blocked to them. This did not make any sense. The breakfast food was average but warm and clean. The staff is friendly but not well trained to help. On the whole, a below average stay experience, won’t come back.
- 5/5
Very nice

Great location. So easy to get to major highways. Quiet. Clean. Friendly staff.

The room was clean , howevwr the bed wasnt as comfortable the staff was excellent very friendly . Dorthy was a pleasure . the breakfast was also good
- 2/5
Opened the door to the room - which we had to really shove open- and the room had a distinct smell and was warm. Stains everywhere, hair in bathroom sink, shower stains on wall, and the couch…the couch had stains all over it. We headed to the pool after the long drive we had. Naturally the room is warm but the actual pool water itself was like bath water. It was hot and muggy out so the pool did not feel refreshing at all. Two stars for good AC in the room was you got it going and breakfast wasn’t too bad if not a bit cramped. We only come through the area once or twice a year, but I would definitely book somewhere else in the future.
- 5/5
We stayed for a basketball tournament. Dorothy at the front desk was just amazing! We travel a lot for basketball and have NEVER encountered someone like her at the front desk before. She was very attentive, made a sign for the basketball team & always making sure we were enjoying our stay.
- 2/5
Shampoo dispenser in shower was empty. Very weak water pressure and took 10 minutes for water to get hot. Was tepid before that. This was at 3am so i can't imagine demand was very high at that time.

My husband and I moved out of our home of 40 years and began our drive to Florida at 11:30 pm on Friday, July 19th. We had a prepaid, non-refundable rate. We arrived at 3:30 am physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. We were told we couldn’t stay because we had to have checked in prior to midnight. The desk agent was rude and verbally abusive. We had nowhere to go so we sat in the lobby. We drove two more hours to our son’s house after 6 am where we were able to get some rest. We want a refund but I can’t find a way to contact a person and the virtual chat was useless. We are extremely angry that two people in our situation who are in our late 60s were denied access to a room we had fully paid for. Someone needs to make this right.
- 3/5
The room smelled awful.
- 1/5
Not coming back again
- 4/5
Everything was fine
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating
- 5/5
Dorothy, the manager of the property, is the best in the business. Even while multi-tasking, she was polite, respectful and attentive to our needs. The hotel itself was very accomodating to all of my family’s needs.
- 5/5
Proximity to a variety of restaurants and stores
- 4/5
Nice people at the hotel. Good location
- 3/5
The worst was leaving in the morning, my Audi rides 4 " above the ground. The exit driveway ramp is not complete, and literally went off the curb. Thought I almost ripped the bottom of the car out. This apparently is a common event, as per the debris field of parts of fiberglass and material from others. Management probably heard this complaint more than once. I would recommend a board until its repaired. Nothing like hearing the Wife a 7AM that I destroyed the new car. Be very aware.
- 4/5
Room was very nice and clean and staff were very helpful, the AC was very loud, which was the only problem
- 5/5
Amazing service
- 5/5
Good stay
- 2/5
Smelly rooms
- 4/5
I didnt like they dont jave bath mats in tbe showers
- 5/5
Had a very late arrival which was accommodated by staff. Breakfast was high-quality.
- 5/5
I love everything
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean rooms.
- 4/5
Stains on the couch and carpet, we just covered the couch with a spare blanket though. Old dusty smell too, but that was tolerable. The bed and shower were very nice, as well as clean too. Good supply of toiletries available as well. Laundry that's available is very efficient and available 24/7. Accompanied by a gym with a TV to help pass the time while you wait. I work night shifts so I never got to enjoy the very early breakfasts that were served, but glad there was a 24 hour stand for beverages like hot chocolate available. Very abundant area for shopping and food, pleanty to visit around town.
- 5/5
Found everything acceptable!
- 5/5
The stay was excellent, would stay there again !
- 4/5
friendly staff
- 5/5
Dorothy at the front desk was amazing. Talked to my kiddos as people rather than ignoring them. Clean place. Great breakfast. And we LOVED the pool!
- 2/5
Issues with check in, room smelled like smoke, issues with room keys. At one point someone’s dog had my son trapped in a corner getting barked at.
- 2/5
We stayed here for a Siena college event. The staff was very nice. I had booked a 1 room suite with a separate living area as my daughter was staying with us. When we got there, the hotel was fully booked and the type of room I booked was not available. We got a one room suite which had a curtain between the pull out coach and the bed. Also, the pull out coach had no linens. We went to the front desk to request linens but what was brought up was some sheets and a bed skirt. They went back to get a blanket but ended up bringing back the same bed skirt. The breakfast was good. There was a lot of garbage left in the halls as is typical of suite hotels with kitchens where people are cooking.
- 5/5
Nice and quiet. The room was great.
- 5/5
It was somewhat clean. I would suggest in air freshets for the room to give it an extra cleaner smell. Breakfast was amazing. First hotel that made it a buffet style. I loved it !!
- 5/5
Great staff! Great business man hotel.
- 3/5
The room wasn’t exactly clean. Found a few pieces of make-up about the room. It’s just ok. Leaves a lot to be desired at the front desk. The morning staff was chipper enough for the “to-go” breakfast shift but the check-in experience was greeted with someone whom either hated their job or their life in entirety. She barely looked up. No one was there when we came back down cuz our key didn’t work so we waited and waited. Then I finally called the front desk from the lobby phone and she came shuffling out of the back with zero urgency - only to give us another key that didn’t work. I understand everyone has bad days but when you’re in service/hospitality even the littlest bit goes a long way…rooms are in bad need of a facelift. Couches are stained and light fixtures hanging on by a thread…
- 4/5
Our stay was good. The only issue I had was there was a dirty washcloth left in the shower in one room upon arrival. I notified staff.
- 5/5
Everything was A1. The only thing that we would have liked is two(2) Beds. Other than that everything was great.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
It is very clean and nice
- 5/5
Staying in town for Siena College parents weekend. Excellent stay. Comfortable and clean, nice fridge and good breakfast, easy to park and conveniently located.
- 4/5
Wonderful pool Fantastic breakfast Good parking Beautiful grounds
- 5/5
The only complaint I had was the stains on the pullout couch. We ordered extra towels to form a barrier.
- 4/5
Some items like the waffle iron, the outside door key card pad and the TV did not always work. The bed and even the sofa bed was very comfortable to sleep in. I truly enjoyed that there was a microwave and a full refrigerator in the room, along with dishes to eat on. Overall, this was a very clean, very nice hotel with a decent continental breakfast and indoor pool.
- 4/5
Hotel was modern, but they need to shampoo the carpets in the rooms. Also, breakfast selection was pretty small and eggs (if you can ream them with tongs), are dry and tasteless. Also i stayed there a week and requested housekeeping at the front desk, and they never came. However, the hotel was modern and the rooms were large.
- 1/5
The check was great. Kiara was amazing and so accommodating. I actually attempted to stay in 4 rooms before leaving and getting hotel across the street. Room after room, there was tracing of bed bugs. One room had a really bad smell, another had dog hair all over. They are a pet friendly hotel with residents that stay over a year at times. I was so tired and frustrated because it was a king drive,I had my 85 year old mom and what I put here through was heartbreaking. Each room had evidence of an infestation. I really wanted to love the hotel but I couldn’t and I only worked with you because the hotel worker kept trying to find a good room and was so nice to us.
