Reviews
The hotel is conveniently located near MVP arena and other downtown attractions, with friendly and helpful staff. However, many guests have complained about the outdated and dirty rooms, with peeling paint, stains, and broken furniture. Noise from other guests and thin walls were also frequently mentioned issues.

Not clean.

There was a thumbtack holding up siding and peeling paint on my floor. The vanity in the bathroom was severely chipped and so were the dressers. There was a thick layer of dust that I could write my initials in at the bottom of the vanity. Someone else’s trash was in the can when I came in. I notified the front desk and nothing changed. Housekeeping came before 9 AM on my second day there and told me they wouldn’t be back so they brought me towels. I wasn’t informed about a housekeeping policy upon check-in. The air conditioner had gone out in the property, and there was only air in some of the sleeping rooms, however most of the rooms in public spaces did not have air and it was hot all weekend. It was 85° or warmer every day. No letter was slid under our door and no apologies were offered. I was there for a conference and we received no accommodations.
- 2/5
No a/c in our room nor in the conference rooms for large events. Woke up sweating. Not a happy camper.

It was excellent

Good hotel in downtown Albany. Easy in and out of the parking lot using the hotel room key. Good breakfast in the dining room. Comfortable and well-appointed room. Will likely stay here again.
- 5/5
You have to pay for the hotel parking lot or use the street parking which is meter parking that starts at 8am. There are 2 different breakfast area, one is continental and one is buffet. The property is at a great location.

It was nice and central. Would stay again. It would help if persons were readily available to assist with luggages at the door, since they're not automated. Big win for me, was the room not having carpets. My biggest gripe, was the layout and functionality of the bathroom, the door was right on the tub and the toilet was very close to the shower. Didn't care for it that much. Seems a little dated as well.

Great location for the start of the run for women race. Clean hotel and rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. However, there were no amenities. We did have coffee in our room and very limited free coffee in the lobby. Once it was gone, they didn’t make more and then you had to buy it. This was at 630 am.

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is very nice and clean. There was a ton of kids there for a basketball tournament and they were all very well behaved and not running around making a lot of noise. My room was nice except for the toilet in my room. It was very low like it was meant for a child. And the shower I felt like I was going to fall. That made me very nervous. Went downstairs for breakfast and that was good. I didn't like the fact that I had to pay for parking but other than that I had a good stay.

Disappointing
- 2/5
We visited for an overnight on Memorial Day weekend. The hotel had already switched to all air conditioning. The weather all weekend was in the 50s and raining. The rooms and hotel in general was freezing and we were told there was nothing they could do. There was no way to turn off the ac. The pool had no towels and we were told they were busy and doing the best they could. The onsite restaurant took over an hour for six meals. Nothing extravagant was ordered. When the food was received most meals were cold and not good. The steak was pure fat that cost $42. The website indicated the hotel was renovated a few months ago but the cabinet door to the refrigerator was hanging off and there was rust around the shower drain. The rooms were ok other than temperature. It seems the hotel may have been unprepared for how many guest were booked for the weekend.
- 2/5
Breakfast service was poor. It was 59 degrees in May and they could not turn the heat on in the building. The bathroom shower curtain rod was bent not allowing the curtain to remain closed. My key stopped working mid visit and I had to return to the front desk to have it reprogrammed. While parked outside the front door, in the circle (on hotel property) a homeless homeless person knocked on my window asking for money. Hilton has to do better in Albany.

The location was fantastic, and the staff were so friendly! I felt like I could’ve easily explored more if I had had more time, without having to drive. I’ve noticed a loose ventilation panel near my window in my room. Also, it seems like there aren’t any trash bags in any of the trash cans in my room, and it’s the same in the bathroom. The door won’t close completely, and if you try to close it, it might get stuck, which could be a bit of a problem. Plus, there’s only a quarter of a facial tissue in the bathroom.

Our reservation with Hotels.com indicated that breakfast was included. However we were told by Hilton staff upon entering the breakfast area (continental) that breakfast was NOT included with our hotel reservation. The cost would be $15 per person (continental) or $25 per person (full breakfast). We opted to find a different option away from the hotel. We were not pleased about this discrepancy.

Good location that’s about it ! I’ve stayed in many Hilton hotels all over the world, the Hilton Albany is the worst one ever ! No evening restaurants open, just bar snacks, the food was rubbish and the staff….. well what can I say without being rude !! Just awful sones it up ! Our room had no heating or hot water, it was 8*C outside, called front desk to make a complaint, they said they would send an engineer up to fix, no engineer turned up ! Again awful service. I complained at checkout but the girl on the front desk wasn’t interested, she just said it’s an old building with plumbing problems! No offer of a reduction in the price for the stay ! Again absolutely terrible customer service! I hope booking.com strike this hotel off the list ! End of rant !!

We were given a room with a door leading to another room. We heard everything in that other room and therefore did not sleep well. We were not told about this door and would NEVER have accepted this situation. Very disappointing, oversight in the booking process.

Staff at the front desk and restaurant/bar were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Central location and easy access to highways. Appreciate the opportunity to have dinner at the hotel restaurant/bar after a long day of travel and meetings.

No breakfast buffet.. but wasnt terrible, still had to pay 14$ extra for that accommodation...
- 2/5
It took 50 minutes to check in, a long line, and not enough staff. When I was leaving, the elevators were full, so after 5 minutes I walked down with my luggage. I understand they had a big group, but if they are having one, they should be prepared.

Clean, convenient, comfortable.

Wish the air conditioning was working better. Or maybe working at all. Thank goodness I was able to open my window.
- 4/5
I reserved an accessible room, but did not get one. I double checked my reservation, it stated that's what I asked for. There were no other rooms available so we made do, but thankfully my roommate is not wheelchair bound, then it would've become an issue. The staff were very nice and helpful on an extremely busy weekend.

I had tried to cancel the stay but the hotel never responded. So I decided to use the room. I texted that I would arrive late. When I arrived I was told that there were no rooms and my room was occupied. Additionally, they refused a refund until I was persistent and adamant that the hotel wrongly failed to answer my texts and calls. Plus I had paid for the room and advised I would be late. I shouldn’t have to get aggressive to make the hotel do the right thing.will never return.
- 0.5/5
It was convenient to get to where we needed to go. There was mouse running around in the room. Refrigerator was broken. Phone barely worked. Loud noise from generator or so from outside but from the building.

Breakfast was decent. Omelet bar was good. Service to get coffee/water was very slow. The Starbucks in the hotel was no longer there. My room did not have working a/c, broken refrigerator and shower head.

Rude staff, outdated room with heat that did not work/too hot, rust in bathtub, tiny shower and bathroom so small you had to shut the door before you could use toilet.
- 1/5
Had to change rooms 3 times due to it being too hot. The first room was dirty. Was not compensated properly.
- 3/5
Picked this property for walkability to the egg. Staff was great, room appeared clean, but we found bed bugs in the morning in one of the beds. Would not stay again.
- 3/5
they had a event we waited 30 minutes for elevator we finaly took the stairs 14 floor to go down
- 4/5
Staff was attentive and wonderful. Our stay was in April, and the air conditioner was not yet functional. Our room at night the first night was 78. Waaaaay too 🔥. They attempted to fix it, However it was not fixed. We changed rooms and were told to "open the window and not use the unit at all". That did the trick, but we had to close the window, cause of the noise ( it's a city). Slept much better the second night. Just a warning - if you're a hot sleeper, this might impact you. The staff did everything to try and resolve the issue, even gave us a "free breakfast" for the morning. Otherwise it was the perfect place to stay.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice. A little older than I thought but clean. Staff were nice enough, breakfast was delicious. Very centrally located to MVP to walk to for shows.
- 2/5
There was an event going on and we waited over 30 minutes for an elevator. Then we ended up having to take the stairs everytime up and fown which was 11 floors to our room. It was loud all night long. People running up and dowm the hall, yelling until atleast 1:30am.
- 3/5
The hotel has a gorgeous location, modern renovation, relatively clean. But we noticed mice in the restaurant, there were not enough towels in the pool. But I liked the staff. In general, we are satisfied with the rest
- 5/5
Yes good location for everything
- 5/5
Great stay overall. The hotel is ideally located in downtown Albany and is clean and comfortable throughout. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent, with the chef preparing a perfect omelette. The host was also very pleasant to speak with. I would definitely stay here again.

Room #1 was freezing and the heating didn’t work. The staff were helpful and moved me to room #2, which was also freezing. But, in room number #2 the barely functioning heater was able to raise the temp to a barely tolerable temp. I staid snuggled in bed and got a lot of reading done.

I reserve a king size bed online, however when I got to the counter to check in, the staff understood my needs, and provided me with accommodations, for the same price as my online reservation. The location was ideal within 3min. from the arena. Staffing was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was extremely clean.

Business trip. Great location downtown close to capital. Well maintained
- 4/5
Good experience. The staff was very helpful and kind. It’s very close to the Albany Capital Center, making it ideal for those taking the bar who don’t want to commute to the exam center. Book early for good rates.
- 3/5
Pool was under construction but no worries, a popl was created when i tried to use the stand up shower that had no lip. Water ended up everywhere and I needed every available towel to soak up the water. I know wet rooms are common in other countries but I imagine they're designed to be more fumctional than this.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately the heating/AC system in our room was extremely loud and would turn on with banging and grinding noises and kept us up during the night.

- 3/5
Room was fine, clean and comfortable but felt a little dated. Shower height was far too low, only came up to my chin. Breakfast quality was poor and confusing, and definitely not worth the price.
- 2/5
We booked the hotel for the pool and it was closed. I even called before arrival and spoke to them about the pool and no one mentioned it. I also have a $65 charge for something, I don’t know what it is for. Parking was $22 and I bought 2 ice creams. They would not provide a receipt for me to look over the charges at checkout. The room was 85 degrees when we arrived and would not cool down.

- 2/5
Staff wouldn’t let my husband check us in, the elevators were broken, the room smelled like ketchup and fries, and the shower didn’t drain. Parking is $22 a night but the gates were broken so it was a free for all. The room was decently clean. Not a luxury stay but not horrendous.

Fortunately the bed had a nice down comforter.

It wasn’t stellar, but it was a good hotel. The room was modern. I couldn’t figure out the TV. I had to watch through my own account so I don’t think there was any TV included with the room, but the bed was clean and comfortable housekeeping was good. Front desk was good. Everyone was good.

Hi I was sooo disappointed the shower was bad the toilette made so much noise and the fridge kept us up all night . We left at 8 am cause we did not sleep all night .

First of all, I had a wonderful day at your hotel at the front desk. Sharon and Rachel were awesome. Very kind. Sweet and accommodated. Have a wonderful attitude. That alone will make me go back. Room is very clean very spacious and beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no microwave in the room. Other than that. It was amazing. I will definitely make arrangements in the future to stay there. Thank you so much. And again Rachel and Sharon deserve a raise. No joke. Thank you again.
- 5/5
The room was spotless! All the staff from the front desk at check in, housekeepers, bartenders right thru to the front desk at checkout were professional, efficient , helpful, and most of all very friendly. Location is perfectly located near eateries, pubs and the MVP Arena - all within walking distance. Highly recommend this Hilton!
- 5/5
Was somewhat disappointed that there was not a continental breakfast. With that said, we recieved a complimentary breakfast valchoure. Absolutely thrilled with that special service. As a medical professional, I see the outside entrance walk way a tripping hazard. It has different layers to it. If I come back to this city, I would stay again at the Hilton.

It is in a good spot with a friendly staff.
- 3/5
When I made the reservation, I was asked to pay for parking for myself and my guest. Thankfully, I declined because it wasn't even necessary. I saved myself $40. I was scared walking on the street from the parking garage to the hotel alone at night. There was no attendant and signs were unclear for the elevator. I lugged my suitcase down 5 flights of stairs. When I finally made it to my room it was 76 degrees and the AC was not working well. I was drenched in sweat while preparing to meet someone special. We were given a fan, which at least made the room more comfortable. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good and the ambiance was nice. The bar area was cozy and comfortable.

I often felt unsafe at this property. People hanging out in the parking garage, loud yelling and screaming in halls all night. Property is not well kept. Needs an entire update. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

First room had large puddle on floor from leaking refrigerator. Second room, air conditioner smelled musty, mold in bathroom, light fixtures without shades
- 5/5
🔥
- 5/5
A very clean and comfortable room.
- 2/5
The ceilings are cracked and peeling. Bathroom is 2x4 and has no vent or AC. The Bathtub is so slanted inside its a task standing in it to take a shower The fridge makes a loud noise which kept me up. The heating/AC controls are old and in Celsius. You are either hot or freezing! Of course its downtown Albany which is not great at night so the main doors are roped off 24/7 which makes it harder bringing all your belongings inside the hotel. The first evening a homeless man walked in the hotel asking everyone for money!(sad)
- 2/5
The facility itself was clean, but one of the two queen-sized beds in our room had stained sheets. Thankfully, we had two beds to choose from, so we opted for the clean one. The bathroom was okay, but it definitely needed some minor updates. There was a warped toilet seat, an odd-shaped tub, and I even found a bug crawling on the bathroom vanity. The vanity top looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned well either. On a different note, we were given a room with a door that connects to the room next door. While this wasn’t a major issue since the door locks and has another safety mechanism, it seemed to be paper-thin. All night, I could hear the people next door playing music and having sex, which was quite disruptive. I had hoped to sleep in silence, but I had to turn up the volume on the TV to drown out the noise. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel again.

Dirty, unsafe
- 5/5
Great location
- 3/5
The supervisor Shirin was wonderful! She greeted us in the best way, but if not for her, some of the cleaning staff, and us celebrating a wedding then I would have given a lower rating. The property was run down, toilet needed replacing, and mini-frig froze out water and food. The pool was freezing cold with a metal pipe dribbling water. Worst part was there were no towels. I went to the front desk to ask for towels and they said they would send them down. 40 minutes later we were wet and cold. When I asked a suited employee walking by for assistance, they dismissed me and said “I don’t know where you would get towels”. Needless to say, I went into the fitness center to grab three sweat towels for my 4-year old, wife, and me to dry off a little before going up to the room. I expect more from the Hilton brand. I’ve had good if not great experiences in the past.
- 3/5
The bath tub did not drain fast enough. Felt like we were showering in a puddle.
- 1/5
I would not stay here again or recommend anyone!
- 1/5
Awful!
- 3/5
Very bad experience at check in. The staff is rude
- 3/5
nothing unique. problems with door in bedroom keep going to front desk to correct. no access to the parking lot from the Lobby, very small showers (can't figure out how a tall/big person can take a shower with no issues. no a single bottle of water in bedroom at arrival time. not so pleasant front desk personnel. Lobby area very gloomy and unattractive.
- 4/5
Parking garage was a pain
- 2/5
This hotel is a dump. Hallways are dirty, my room had stains on the floor, the ac barely worked, the ice machines were all broken, the elevators were broken, the front door was broken, the front desk was understaffed, and basically everything in this hotel was dirty or broken. I am stunned a downtown Hilton was this bad. It’s more like a motel 6 than a Hilton. Can’t believe I paid that much for a place that disgusting.
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable in all aspects. There are dining options
- 1/5
I had to wait four hours to get a room and when I got the room, there was no windows in the living room area. The shower was nasty so was the sink and the TV in the living room did not work. They should be ashamed.

Wish I booked another hotel

--- We stayed at the hotel from June 27 to June 29 for a lacrosse tournament. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. Upon check-in, the front desk staff simply asked for my name, handed me the room key, and pointed toward the elevators. There was no information provided about the hotel—no mention of breakfast hours, restaurant schedule, or amenities like the pool or gym, which I never ended up locating. When we got to the room, we were exhausted and went straight to sleep. Later, when we used the bathroom, we found the sink dirty and full of hair, as if someone had just shaved and it hadn't been cleaned. There was also no fan in the bathroom, and the ceiling was peeling and sagging. I reported the issue both through Expedia and directly to the front desk, requesting that housekeeping clean the room by 2 PM. I received no apology or acknowledgment—just silence. When we returned around 8 PM, the room still hadn’t been cleaned. I called the front desk and explained the situation, including that I work in the hotel industry and understand that housekeeping may not be available that late. I simply requested some fresh towels and that the trash be removed. Someone came up with towels and trash bags, but when I asked if I could hand him the trash, he replied, “I’m not here to take your trash.” At that point, I didn’t even bother
- 1/5
Probably the worst experience I ever had in a hotel started with a check in process to the room and the rest of the hotel staff. Just a very miserable bunch of people stay somewhere else this is obviously a poorly managed property.
- 1/5
The room was unclean. The lighting was dim and dismal. My bathroom was grimey on the floor from what looked like construction dust. There was a hole in the wall outside of my door.
- 2/5
Very tired property. Bed linen was clean and comfortable. Nice products in the bathroom. Overall the place needs a refurb in the common areas. Air-con must be upgraded, it's very noisy and clunky to use. Staff were pleasant.
- 2/5
Sketchy area of town. We were referred to dinner by front desk staff, got to War Room and it was not good food. They were out of filets at a self proclaimed sushi & steakhouse on a Saturday. They had 3 tables sat in the whole place when we arrived. Then we got to our room around 1030p and found out we were out of shampoo and body wash in the provided dispensers. We called to have room service bring it up. Never received it! The bathtub also had a black film or streak of something they couldn’t scrub out apparently. So we checked out of our 9 hour stay at property with no shampoo or body wash in shower or ever brought to us. Luckily my wife had some stuff in her bag we all used. You pay $200+ a night you expect to have better service by Hilton than this!

Floor in the hallway (corridor from where all rooms are accessed) was not vacuumed for the 3 nights I stayed there. A colleague staying in another roof found out that his room had trash behind the curtains (previous guest’s takeout).

We stayed here so we could walk to a concert at MVP Arena. The property itself and lobby area were very nice. Our room could use a little updating. It wasn't too bad, but not quite up to what we usually see in Hilton's rooms.

I didn’t like how I didn’t get a room till five hours after checking in my room still wasn’t ready and I had to downgrade from the executive room. I paid for a regular room in order to put my daughter to bed.

Nice

Our worst hotel stay in decades. Room refrigerator did not work; staff just said "sorry" and shrugged. Bathtub drain didn't work. Parking lot was full, so we had to park at another site down the block (the top floor of the lot was closed off). Very frustrating. We'll never stay at a Hilton again.
- 1/5
Very rude and nasty I will never go back here again. The staff was so nasty they canceled my stay.
- 1/5
Need a bunch of upgrades in the rooms. Need to let people know before they book a room that the pool is out of order. Strange smells. No restaurants.
- 2/5
I didn’t like how thin the walls are I heard everything my neighbor did literally
- 3/5
Clean room but I wouldn’t stay again
- 4/5
It's close to the State Capitol & Legislative Buildings.
- 5/5
This hotel is a good place to stay and convenient location.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

My mother in law was dying at Albany med I booked the room later in the evening and I accidentally booked the wrong Hilton down the road. They would not refund my money even though it had been only 5 minutes! I ended up booking a room connected to Albany med the one I originally wanted. With the Likely hood of getting a full refund when the manager was on duty in the morning as was told to Expedia.Well in the morning I received a message that they wouldn't refund me! Myother in law passed and it was a rough few days. There should have been some empathy and understanding of the situation. Realizing I made a mistake immediately mostly because my mind was with my mother in law and our entire family saying goodbye.

Clean and comfortable

Great customer service and great looking rooms
- 2/5
This hotel is not up to the standard you expect from a Hilton. I noticed cracks and peeling paint on walls and ceilings, the revolving door main entrance to the hotel was broken the entire time I was there, service in the bar area was poor (I asked the bartender if she could put on the Knicks playoff game and she said "I don't know what channel that's on" and walked away), I frequently had to swipe my room key multiple times to unlock my room, and the gym was a disaster - broken air conditioning, multiple dumbbells literally falling apart, and more than half of the dumbbells and cable machine attachments missing entirely.
- 2/5
Parking garage elevator lobby had garbage and what seemed to be a put out fire in front of elevator, I told the front desk about it and the next day when we left it was all still there. Peeling paint in our bedroom on the ceiling. Broken door handle on fridge and it took 4-5 attempts for pee, poop, toilet paper to actually go down. Adjoining doors (there were 2) were not sound effective... Sounded like people were in our room from both doors all night long. Garbage in the hallways and in the elevator lobby area was the same plate of chicken wings which was sitting all night with garbage still remained in the morning.

Had a great time
- 3/5
Very disappointed this stay. I’ve stayed at this hotel twice before and had no complaints. The room they gave me looked like the carpet had not been vacuumed in ages and the same goes for the hallways. We stayed here 3 nights and one of the rooms left plates outside which were never picked up in those 3 nights up until today that we left, the plates and wine glass were still there; I find that disgusting and laziness from housekeeping and lack of management. The shower was clogged and the tub kept getting full with water because it was not draining.
- 5/5
Very accommodating and very understanding and helpful. Thanks Nate!
- 3/5
Definitely needs to be updated! Rooms are falling apart.

Came from New Jersey for a comedy show. Drove 3 1/2 hrs to find our room dusty, light bulbs out, and poor cleanliness. I had to go around with a wash cloth and wipe down all the tables/phone/fridge because it was caked in dust. I spent over 300$ for this room and to come in to a dirty room and light bulbs out is highly disappointing. Will not be staying here again

Paid Parking but free parking in the street on the weekend.

Older property. Toilet was a bit off, and took a while for it to flush. Shower was cramped. Was only there for work so didn’t have the opportunity to checkout the bar/dining area. I did like how kind the staff was

Great

I do not like the hotel room had no heat and they gave us a space heater I am a Hilton homers member and it was not excepted with regard to my rate was over charged bathrooms paint was pealing off the ceiling and the toilet bowl was cracked the cabinet for the refrigerator was off the hinge
- 4/5
The beds were super comfy though but room could use a deep cleaning and updating.

Very dirty. Mold in bathroom

Bar was nice

It was good

Business trip and the hotel was in a central location and close to all. I walked away from the bar as I was trying to order and the delay was too much to get the bartender’s attention. There was no order
- 1/5
We stayed here for a concert at mvp arena and it looked like they put us in a room they were trying to fix up in 5 mins toilet paper holder broken water damage in bathroom due to no ventilation ceiling cracking
- 4/5
It's a nice venue, close to everything important!
- 2/5
Checking in took 30 minutes with one guest ahead of me. Was promised a roll away and did not get one, my child slept on the floor, no offer to accommodate with a second room. Stairs do not go to lobby, stop at second floor and then outside. Elevators were a nightmare, waited 15 minutes to get to the 10th floor. No option for stairs until you got to floor two. Wasn’t told there was a parking fee until a deduction from our account two days later. $15 for breakfast!! Breakfast should be included at these rates. Limited evening dining in the area. Husband fixed the toilet seat. Flickering lightbulbs. Used hair rubber bands in room.Room was like a sauna unless the window was open, in February. Will not stay again. Reached out to Hilton and filed a case. No reply yet.

Albany is just okay.
- 5/5
At the bar was terrible also. not cookers obviously the catfish nuggets were prepared in microwave.
- 1/5
The service was horrible. The room was dirty. It looked like they haven’t been clean in weeks. Paint was falling off of the ceilings. There was no towels for the pool when X they never provided them. I asked for more bath towels. I didn’t get it to a hour before we was checking out the next day..
- 3/5
My stay was okay. It was important to me that I was in walking distance of where I needed to go and it was. Food in the restaurant was excellent. However, one of the reasons I chose this hotel was it said it had room service, and room service was unavailable. Also, the desk staff was pretty unfriendly and acted annoyed if you asked them anything. Also they hit me for a $250 amenities charge for “incidentals” which was what, exactly? I had two free 16 Oz bottles of water, was that $250? Nothing in this hotel was free. You even had to pay for parking, and breakfast, so I had no clue what was $250 on top of the $1295 I had already paid.
- 1/5
Expedia is unwilling to refund our payment. It's a terrible experience.
- 2/5
Hilton charged $30 per person for the worst breakfast ever. I had better free food at a Holiday Inn Express. The manager did reverse the charge but it shouldn't have come to that. The bathroom had rust in the tub and the vents were filthy. The tv had limited channels. The parking was ok but not very clean, even for a parking garage.
- 2/5
The room needs to be updated. The heating system is EXTREMELY loud and made sleeping quite difficult.

Awesome spot before a local concert.
- 2/5
This property is in serious need of an upgrade. No hot water to shower in the morning.
- 2/5
Bathroom was not cleaned well upon arrival. Tissue box had 2 tissues left. Bathroom counter had hair on it. Office chair surface was torn. Rug was dirty. I will not stay here again.
- 5/5
good stay
- 2/5
The room needed a complete overhaul. The room was poorly lit. The curtains were torn. The carpet was stained. The tub was chipped. I went to a Hilton Hotel and felt like I stayed at Motel 6.
- 4/5
This is a great location if going to an event nearby. Room met our needs. Things I didn’t like included absence of shuttle and the offensive dirty mop pail smell in the foyers on each floor. The staff were pleasant and attentive.
- 1/5
My room had water damage on the entire ceiling so the paint was peeling. They only provided one towel with no washcloth or facecloth. There was no soap in the bathroom sink. There was no lotion. Staff is not friendly. Housekeeping knocked at 8am and every hour until check out time at 11.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, lunch, and room!!
- 4/5
Comfortable and close to the convention center
- 1/5
I did not like this hotel no heat or hot water and I was told to email the manager because she wasn’t there
- 3/5
13th floor room and hallways had strong odor of mold as if it had no operating HVAC or make up air unit working but the minute you stepped of the elevator and into the carpeted area it really hit you. Also we asked twice for shower gel to be replace as it was empty but never got any and breakfast quality was very poor for the 78 dollars we paid for 2 adults and two small kids. Hilton needs to step up their game the Hampton just a few blocks away is cheaper and better and gives free breakfast of the same quality
- 4/5
We were greeted with very friendly and nice check-in women. They were able to answer our questions. The room was clean and quiet. The beds were very comfy. The sink bathroom barely had a drizzle of hot water coming from it but the shower was fine. It was hot as he[[ in the room. There was a sign that said to open window to cool off the room but we couldn't get the window open. We all had a hard time sleeping because it was too hot. Location was great. Pool was fine. Overall, our stay was good. We would recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent service and well kept property.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed, friendly staff, good amenities
- 4/5
Everyone was very polite. Hotel itself was very clean. Only bad thing I can think of was the heat/ac in the room. With it being winter, the ac wouldn’t cool. But that was no big deal. We just like to sleep with a little air flow. Definitely a good choice when going to the MVP arena. And a bonus. Nothing seemed to be open nearby to grab a drink. Thankfully the hotel bar/restaurant was open late to grab a drink and quick bite. It was packed at 10pm but there’s no way you would hear the noise from our room on the 10th floor. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

I did like that when we booked separately they still put us all together and we were able to have three room that were all connected within. What I didn’t like was that my daughter’s room was dirty and the bathroom seemed gross! I didn’t like that the desk personal were not friendly and nice. We asked for transportation to go to a local restaurant a mile away and the shuttle was able to take us there, which was great, but there was miscommunication on the shuttle with the front desk as we had to seek out the driver ourselves as he stood there. The driver took us to the restaurant and told us he could they could come back and get us, but we might have to wait depending on if they’re doing other runs to the airport. It was time to leave the restaurant my daughter called. They said the shuttle would be a few minutes longer like 15 minutes we waited a half hour and called back due to the no-show of the shuttle. The lady then said the shuttle could not come and get us because we were out of range never called back to tell us that and even when she called never told us that. But the shuttle driver said it was in range. It was not even a mile away so we were left stranded at a restaurant that is now closed looking to find Ubers. Very disappointed we stayed with Hilton before and I will have second thoughts next time I book with them.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 3/5
The breakfast options were also limited, which was disappointing considering the hotel’s reputation. I would have expected a more varied selection, especially for the price point. That said, the staff were polite and efficient during check-in and check-out, and the common areas were clean and well-maintained. While my stay was not unpleasant, I don’t feel it stood out as a memorable experience. If you’re looking for a convenient place to stay in Albany without high expectations, this hotel could work, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
- 3/5
Close walk to Abany City Center, hotel rooms are a little older needing updating. Was ok , location was great.
- 4/5
Rooms are showing their age, and food options could be a lot better.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and we only had a short stay as we were there for a show. The actual room was a bit rundown but we werent there much other than to sleep -- and the bed was comfortable so can't complain.
- 5/5
The bathrooms are small other then that it’s fine
- 3/5
Everything was pretty good except for the fact that they don’t tell you until you get there that you have to pay for parking. So that made the $180 room $200. Then we got 2 gatorades charged to the room for $4 a pop and suddenly I’m being charged $226. Not sure why but this is the second time I was charged extra from a hotel. I leave the place clean nothing broken we were barely in the hotel to be honest. We stayed overnight and left early. Why was I charged extra money yet again?
- 5/5
It was exactly what we needed
- 4/5
IT WAS CLEAN. WE STAYED 1 NIGHT TO GO TO A CONCERT AT THE MVP AND THE HOTEL SHUTTLED US TO AND FRO WHICH WE APPRECIATED.
