- 5/5
Staff was great and clean
- 1/5
I got bit by bedbugs while staying there for the night. I had to go to the hospital to get treatment.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Breakfast included waffles, bagels, toast, coffee, orange or apple juice and was available 6AM to 9AM. The air conditioner worked well. Maid service was offered frequently. This is one of our favorite motels. They have an exercise room with exercise bikes, weight machines and treadmills.
- 5/5
I enjoyed that the first employees are actually hospitable, and Dipi was very accommodating as I checked in past the cutoff time. Overall I’m very satisfied with the staff.
- 5/5
Quiet, staff met all special requests.
- 5/5
Convenient location. Lobby is accommodating. Great value.
- 3.5/5
I like the fact That it was central and accessible. The hallways need to be swept or wiped.
- 3.5/5
Overhead light broken, smokey smell in room despite being non smoking.
- 5/5
Staff is friendly, very accommodating. Hotels, pet friendly to. Very convenient location. Everything was great
- 4/5
TV was small. Beds were flimsy. They had a waffle maker for breakfast.
- 2.5/5
The fact that it smelled like stale, cigarettes all throughout the room. And also the fact that there were sketchy people I don't want to sound rude or obnoxious , but they might have been drug addicts all around the hotel.
- 3/5
The breakfast was fine, staff very nice. Outdoor hall and steps need to be cleaned.
- 0.5/5
Nothing. The room was not clean. Bathroom was horrible. Mattresses had stains on them. The roomed horrible. There was dirt and stains on the tub. Checked for bed bugs and found stains on both mattresses. The carpet had caked in dirt. We prepaid for the room and charged $40 for both our dogs. We were in the room only 15 minutes and went to the front desk to request a refund. We were told to call booking.com. They offered us another room and we declined due to the horrible conditions. After talking to booking.com about our issues, we were told that the hotel had an hour to respond to the complaint email with no assurance of any refund. We called the hotel back after checking into another hotel. The response from the manager of the hotel was they have a no refund for cancellation policy and they offered another room. So we did not receive a refund!! We will never stay at a Econolodge or use booking.com again. We did receive a credit of $11.64 on our booking .com account !! What a joke!! We will never recommend Econolodge or booking.com.
- 1.5/5
Too much dirty, bad behavior. Dirty promises
- 2.5/5
Our check in was for after 3 pm and we arrived earlier and it was very nice to get our room early so that that we could continue our day, very appreciated. We had only one towels, no washcloths in the evening we went to the front desk and asked for towels and shampoo we got attitude like it was are fault.

- 0.5/5
Bedrooms smell cigarettes.
- 5/5
ALL AND ALL IT WAS A GOOD STAY Nothing really
- 4/5
Pillow was too firm for my like.
- 0.5/5
Nothing I recall. Everything, and I mean every single surface, was filthy. Linens: all stained, asked for new ones but it meant striping and returning "later." Blood from injection spritzed on the wall. Collapsed mattresses. Every surface -- the shower floor, the bathroom, the floor, the bed spread, the counter -- is FILTHY. Makes the skin crawl
- 0.5/5
Dirty sheets pillows only had 1 clean extra sheet stains on lamp it was like sleeping in an alley they ruined it for all branches save your money sleep in your car.
- 4/5
Couldn’t extend my stay cause I had a pet
- 1/5
Really need to upgrade this place, and it smelled awful, a good cleaning would also be helpful
- 4/5
Building definitely shows its age, but it was clean and quiet and comfortable. Continental breakfast was lacking some basic options like fruit or yogurt. Close to many dining options.
- 0.5/5
It had bed bugs
- 1/5
The staff on overnight was sleep, there were bugs in the room and all my towels and washcloths smelled like mildew. There were no soap, shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. When I asked the staff to get new ones in the morning, they said they don’t have any towels or washcloths that they could give and that they were out of the bathroom essentials I needed. Overall it was a terrible stay
- 4/5
The comforter was light and not warm enough for the night
- 2/5
Parking was easy. The room was dark and gloomy. The lock on the door was broken. The bathroom was really dirty. Only one towel each. No shampoo. Staff was nice.
- 1/5
For the price, even off Expedia, I expected the level of motel/hotel we typically get. This wasn't it. We were so disappointed that we left a night early and paid to stay somewhere else, despite no refund for the unused night. When I brought up my concerns to the front desk. The response was basically, "Oh Well." I would not recommend this motel. There are much better options in the area.
- 5/5
Front desk manager is amazing at getting a customer checked into their room. The hotel has all the amenities for a great price.
- 1/5
Nonsmoking room smelled strongly of smoke. Floor filthy. Mattresses old and stained. Sheets and blankets had cigarette burns in them. Secondary lock on door was broken. Phone non-functional. Guests upstairs were very loud. We mentioned it to the front desk and nothing changed. No one slept.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Bathroom kind of dated and dirty
- 3/5
Room was nice, but no breakfast!
- 5/5
The bed and the breakfast
- 2/5
No. Dirty cold room, unclean towels. Spent the night in a cold home . Yold them of the problem but told me to wait a long time fo offer no explanation room to get warmer but never did .fall asleep, woke up in a miserable cold room hurry up to get out told the manager didn't care. , breakfast was terrible didn't participate. When i was leaving i took a cup of bad terrible tasting once and discarded then find out at DUNKIN that that that area was experiencing bad contaminated water issues which forced all the restaurants in the area to discard their water used. Apparently this manager was not aware of the health scare contaminated issues serve the guests this bad coffee and food .he didn't even apologize for the cold room . F+ in my experience.
- 4/5
Good staff and spacious room
- 1/5
I was there for two nights. Room floor was dirty. Bed was not made even after room service. Even with a low price not worth staying.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and easy check in, clean hotel.
- 4/5
Clean room, great hotel staff! Very helpful answering questions about stay. Nice cleaning crew. Good place to stay.
- 5/5
Best hotel amongst those hotels and the breakfast is so good it’s a plus..
- 4/5
Clean room and nice staff
- 3/5
This room was filthy. Mirrors and surfaces were not clean. Coffee maker and tray were moldy. I will never stay here again. This was a last minute need and I will not make this mistake again and I will share with everyone how bad this hotel is
- 5/5
Everything was good!
- 4/5
The room was excellent. The staff needs to improve as the front desk did not provide towels when requested as they seemed rude about it; however, the housekeeping staff provided them.
- 5/5
Perfect room
- 5/5
Best hotel. Very clean and descent for the prices! I give the room a 5 star!
- 3/5
The cable service in the rooms needs to work properly to get proper TV service and the mattresses need to be updated or changed. Put in more firm ones.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 3/5
I checked in late around 10pm and left by 8:30am the next morning. The room and facility were very dated, but generally clean and quiet. The bathroom (sink, toilet, & shower) functioned well.
- 2/5
It would benefit EconoLodge to charge $20 more so floors can be swept and showers cleaned in the rooms, as well as having at least bananas as a healthy breakfast choice. I will say they had hard boiled eggs but i didnt want to try them. I had a cheerio type cereal and a cheap cup of coffee for the road. Bed was made and sheets were clean, so thank you for that. Staff at the desk was courteous and helpful. I just can't overlook the lack of cleanliness in the room.
- 4/5
A lot of shopping and dining options surrounding the property
- 5/5
Great breakfast
- 3/5
Breakfast left a lot to be desired
- 3/5
Breakfast was minimal.
- 5/5
Shower water is not hot enough
- 1/5
I don’t did this reservation
- 5/5
Look y'all, is it a "top tier" hotel/motel? No.... BUT it was EXACTLY what we needed, when we needed it. I couldn't be happier with the stay. The bed was comfortable enough, the AC got down to what I needed it to, the shower had great pressure with plenty of hot water, and most importantly, no one messed with our vehicle! Very impressed!
- 1/5
I was scheduled to stay for two nights and I decided not to because of the the odor. I tried to bring the back the key but, no one was at the front desk. I tried calling after I left, but no one answered the phone . I would like a full refund for my inconvenience. Please contact me at +15185779707 at your earliest convenience. Thank you. I will be waiting for your call.
- 5/5
Friendly staff.
- 4/5
The room was neat and clean and had all the amenities except decaf coffee
- 5/5
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Manager on duty was rude and had poor listening and communication skills
- 1/5
Staff was rude and was not speaking English at the front desk to one another as they were attending me. Felt as if I was a bother
- 5/5
A place to stay.
- 4/5
It was easy to find and easy to manage.
- 4/5
Rooms were dated, needs new paint and curtains
- 5/5
Clear
- 5/5
I lost my cel cable, but when i came back to ask for it, they were so helpful and supportive.. they showed me all the cables lost it. Finally I found in my luggage…
- 4/5
This econo lodge is very dated and run down. But the staff was nice, the price was good and the breakfast was decent: cereal, bagels, hard boiled eggs and waffles and the coffee was good. If you are looking for a quick, cheap stopover in Albany, it was fine.
- 4/5
I was easily able to check in very late, at 3 AM.
- 2/5
The worst motel I’ve ever stayed at. The parking lot is sketchy, the room wasn’t clean, there was blood on our lampshade. There were needle caps outside. Stay away!
- 4/5
The room was very nice, the heating and cooling system worked perfectly. Sheets were too thin for us personally, bed was very soft. The shower had great pressure and temperature. The biggest complaint was the amount of pot. My husband is extremely sensitive to the drug and gets horrible headaches just from a whiff of it. The room next to us was smoking both in the night and first thing in the morning. There were others smoking pot as well, despite being multiple no smoking rooms. This should be banned from hotels. Just because someone else wants to destroy their lungs and brain cells, doesn’t mean we all have to.
- 4/5
Now for the good news. They have 24 hour staff and they are very friendly. The interiors of the rooms appear to have been updated. The mattress and bed pillows in my room were good quality. The room was clean. The showerhead delivered a nice spray and there was plenty of hot water. There is a complimentary breakfast which is basic but not fancy. Surprisingly good, coffee, juice, cereal, bagels and make your own waffles. Not much in the way of protein or fruit. But hey, the price is reasonable. Location is good. In Colonie, between Albany and Schenectady and close to a major shopping mall and plenty of restaurants and retail spots. Also a quick drive to the airport. Good for a night’s stay when you have had last minute changes to your travel plans.
- 5/5
Owners very kind and accommodating.
- 1/5
Give it a miss! I opted not even to shower.
- 4/5
Budget is tight and there was an online discount for the room. The hotel had a better review than others in the same price range. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I didn’t realize that you entered the rooms from outdoors, but we didn’t have any security issues. The room was no-frills which was expected, but we were happy with it. It is also a good location for a visit to Albany.
- 5/5
The Buffett next door is really good the breakfast is limited

- 4/5
For what you pay is hood
- 4/5
This is a good economy choice. The outside of the property could be modernized a bit, but my room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast options were a pleasant surprise, but limited.
- 1/5
The lady on check in was pleasant. That was where the positives ended. The drive in porch looks structurally unsafe. Our room (203) had an instant smell of urine upon entering which was exacerbated when using the air con. Air con unit itself was so noisy it sounded like a helicopter in the room. The room was dated, no comforter, just rough woolen blanket & sheet. Walls needed a good lick of paint and the TV guide provided was useless. The bathroom was awful with a crack in the sink, brown shower curtain, half a bottle of used conditioner and brown marks on the toilet roll. The bathroom door was unsafe and hanging off the hinges so it wouldn't close which mean no privacy for our family. The toilet seat was unsafe only held on by one hinge. The room housing the ice machine was a health hazard. The floor was disgusting and it felt like a dumping ground with empty trash lying around. Breakfast in the morning was dreadful. Waffle batter was too thin, tar like coffee and at 8am everything seemed to be running out. There was an older gentleman repeatedly wiping down all the surfaces with the dirtiest cloth I have ever seen. Overall, I think this motel needs some serious maintenence, a good clean and a visit from environmental health.
- 4/5
Nice room, comfortable bed
- 1/5
Of here , refund should be a given
- 5/5
Bon qualite prix
- 3/5
Not a bad stay, but this is an older hotel, not in the best condition. If i'd driven by first, I would not have booked the hotel.
- 5/5
Perfect for an affordable stay. Great loaction
- 2/5
Room was dirty. Floor was so dorty that causes sole black staining. It looks like it was never cleaned
- 4/5
Not super clean, but extremely quiet and the bed was amazingly comfortable.
- 2/5
This place is SO rundown. The room wasn’t as clean as I expect a room to be either.
- 4/5
The shower was hard to operate as there was a very fine line between too cold and too hot.
- 1/5
We saw the room on Hotel.com Thought we got a great deal and the jacuzzi was included and wamted another $100 a night. The room smelled of mildrew and mold the beds were horrendous, didnt have the handicap access ability needed fot my grandons wheelchair. To a look around the room dust and dead bugs. The floor was flithy , you could see where it wasnt mopped up. Too much to add.
- 1/5
Upon check-in, I requested the return of my driver’s license after it had been taken by the staff member assisting me. He informed me that he needed to make a copy first. I asked for the reason behind this, and he stated it was “the policy.” When I asked where this policy was documented or explained, he replied that it was not written anywhere. He then added, “If you’d like, I can return your license and the copy, and you can leave. You may also call 911 or speak with the manager in the morning—he can explain the policy.” At no point was the policy clearly explained to me, nor was I shown any written documentation supporting this procedure.
- 4/5
It was great!!!
- 3/5
The breakfast was Meh. could be a little better. The worst part is the room smelled skunky...(trying to be nice here but it smelled like ass) and wet dog. DID like the room size that was real nice, especially when on business.
- 4/5
Good for one night and for price. Clean was ok, nothing to complain.
- 3/5
The internet speed was LESS THAN 2MB per sec, which is useless in this modern age. Epic fail. So I had to use my cell phone to create a wifi hot spot for my computer.
- 5/5
The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was very attentive and I found the lodging to be above my expectations.
- 5/5
Ice
- 2/5
Exterior was dirty/unkept. Front desk staff was not pleasant.
- 1/5
Very disappointed, non-clean cigarette burns in the blankets very ghetto of a place.
- 4/5
inexpensive and clean
- 5/5
Lack of towels and wash cloths
- 4/5
Everything was fine. What one expects from an Econolodge. Easy access from highway. Easy check in/check out, clean sheets, working shower. No complaints really. I would stay here again when stopping in Albany
- 3/5
Outdated decor, carpets are worn out.
- 1/5
Stayed here for 2 days to try a new cheap place to stay for 2 nights . Front desk personal were not personable at all didn’t even say hi he was on the phone the entire time and only word he said to me was “ID”. After working 13 hrs at the hospital I came back with food to find my keycard did not work work the room. So had to go back. The gentlemen this time was atleast friendly and pleasant demenour. Did not get an explanation for why my card stopped working. Along with that the walk to the 2nd floor there was a rolled up carpet just sitting there for the 2 nights i stayed right in the middle of the walk way to the stairs looks like a body is rolled up on it. Not exactly the scene that makes a lady staying by herself makes her feel uncomfortable. Overall I would not be staying here again. It was extremely noisy from cars by the road and garbage or a towing company came at 5am and was screeching. I’ve been staying at days inn which is right off the same exactly busy road and I never hear any cars. On top of the the fabric/installation lining of the door kept having outside of the door everytime it closed. Had to be mindful of it cuz if I didn’t bring that flap in it did not allow the door to close fully. Felt very unsafe and not clean and very noisy the entire time
- 5/5
Very Relaxing
- 1/5
Blankets were stained, non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes, was given two small double beds for 1 couple, bathtub and wall had blood on it and hair, hyperdermic needle behind dresser, this was such a horrible, disgusting place to stay overnight, phone not operating so couldn't reach staff.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
The picture didn't match the property ... old & run down ... no hot water ... banged on door 11pm woke us regarding the water
- 4/5
Room above seemed to children..lots of running around
- 4/5
Motel located in far-out sprawl of Albany. Took a while for us to locate it, particularly since we couldn't get our GPS to work. Locale is not pretty and room is pretty spartan. On the other hand the room was spacious, bed comfortable, and price very reasonable. Good value for money.
- 5/5
The staff is very genuine. The energy is very pure. They are willing to work with you if there is a situation to be handled. Patient individuals overall I would recommend anyone to stay.
- 4/5
Nice place. Only problem is the toilet didnt flush, but the place was clean and quiet.
- 2/5
The room was dirty. They made the bed with dirty sheets with makeup and hair all over.
- 3/5
Bed was not great and pillow. Didn’t do breakfast as they didn’t had much to chose from..
- 5/5
All the staff were wonderful and accommodating
- 5/5
Everyone was very accommodating. All staff were just wonderful.
- 1/5
Nothing at all
- 2/5
Everything about this place was disgusting! I only stayed cause I have no car at the moment this was the cheapest and where I got stuck. The floor is literally about to cave in. Everything was dirty. The floor was like someone walked in with muddy shoes, I had to clean it myself! The sheets smelled like they were reused ! Freaking gross! Mold in the shower and all over shower curtain! The microwave was disgusting! Thank god I brought my bleach with me! Also, I had asked for NO ROOM SERVICEi literally told the cleaning lady at my door “No thank you” she did it anyways !I was running behind not even 20 minutes and she said “It’s checkout go get out” Everything is dirty about this place! The ice machine has mold all over ! The rugs don’t get vacuumed like….
- 4/5
The room heater was a bit weak, blowing hot air, and not able to go above 86 degrees. The floor, could have been washed. I tried damping towels to mop the floor(cause the floors were actually like walking on grip tape. As said, it’s basic, but clean and safe for the most part. No smell of pot/tabacco/vaping(with policy not too do any). Temperature was bearable. The dirty floor, unfortunate. Not having anything in their vending machines, unfortunate(ended up going to a gas station next door). It’s not the Ritz, and does not need to be. It served its purpose, and don’t expect anything more than that.
- 4/5
In the most recent night's here the temperature slightly below zero the electric heater had no problem bringing the room above 75° If a problem arrises the front desk employees are able to find a solution. This is one of the most price to performance successful motels today in the Northeast USA.
- 1/5
Roaches and vermin
- 5/5
Easy to get to work from.
- 1/5
Hotel is in a very dark neighborhood and overall feels unsafe. Manager is rude and throws around the word police at the first sign of you having a complaint with your room or service. No hospitality, bugs everywhere and rooms not clean. Wifi barely works and when it doesn’t staff doesn’t know how to resolve. Choice Hotels should be ashamed to call this a location!
- 4/5
Nice place to stay for an overnight. Close to many stores and restaurants. Staff was friendly. Complimentary breakfast was good. There wasn't any hot water for tea or fruit, but it was fine.
- 1/5
The room was only minimally clean, with dirt in all the corners. Expecting a good breakfast? Expect generic sweetened fruit loops and sweetened cherios with milk from a thermos bottle. No fresh fruit, no juice. Indescribably terrible coffee.
- 2/5
The water in the shower was not hot and the breakfast was minimal - no fruit and very little selection
- 3/5
Happy it was only for a quick stop I will not use them again
- 3/5
This place is good for a one night stay. The rooms were clean, but were very outdated. The location was good for anybody who needs to go to Schenectady or Albany to do business or see family. Check in with quick continental breakfast Soso.
- 5/5
Thank you what a lovely property!
- 4/5
Not bad for the price
- 2/5
You get what you pay for. Fairly clean except for bathtub which had pubic hair in the mat. Took a shower with slippers on. Room is simple and outdated. Convenient area with gas station next door. Easy to find, you can park right outside your room.
- 1/5
Possible drugs all over one of the broken nightstands, light fixture hanging open with exposed wires, pills and bugs and random junk on the floor with a 9 month and two year old in the room. The shower drain didn’t drain so you took a bath no matter what, unidentified, gross looking substance in one of the beds and stains/burn holes all over both beds. Wish I had taken photos now it didn’t even cross my mind to.
- 5/5
The room was extremely nice and clean. The staff all of them were expecting nice and welcomed
- 3/5
It was what I expected for that price.
- 1/5
I stayed in two different rooms 137 and 221 and one room had mice so they switch me to a room that had roaches and i had my children with me the stage don't speak English very well so communication was very difficult and the housekeepers we very ride to just open my door and not knock they just walk right in them when i said something they started banging on my door like they was the police ugh so glad we moved Albany is a horrible place...
- 4/5
It was an adequate stay for a single night. The room in general does need some cosmetic work. I strongly recommend replacing the existing toilets with "comfort height, elongated (oval) seats" for greater comfort and ease of use, especially by older or mobility limited individuals.
- 1/5
I like that the property is on the bus line however I dislike like the fact that I'm the first room i stayed in the room had mice, and then the second room they put me in they have roaches it's sad cause me and my boys are homeless and they charge so much a night to stay here the least they could do is make sure they at least have an exterminator make sure that that this doesn't happen ugh....
- 3/5
Older motel, but the room was fine. There were a lot of folks roaming around the hotel grounds and they yelled at us a couple of times. We also had someone bang on our door at 3:45am, asking for Daniel. Although I don't blame the hotel for this, it speaks to the area. Worked for the night.
- 3/5
The surrounding around the area didn't feel that safe
- 1/5
Blankets dirty, room had a foul smell and there were bugs in the room.
- 2/5
Na
- 2/5
The two employees that tried to help were nice but they blamed it on housekeeping. And when we went to the breakfast that was included, they had no napkins. We don’t ask for much in a hotel but having a working TV, towels in the bathroom and a safe bathroom aren’t asking too much.
- 1/5
Refrigerator had water all around it. Air conditioning didn’t work. No hot water for morning shower.
- 4/5
Wall in washroom were all rotten
- 2/5
Pretty grimy place to stay. The floors were dirty and sticky, my deadbolt didn't lock going into the room next door, so their solution was to pull the desk in front of the door lol. On the bright side the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean
- 2/5
Dirty sheets weren’t cleaned holes in the walls and the shower handle was broken off. And heroine needles in the lot. Manager was very apathetic and seemed to not give a dam when I came in for check in
- 4/5
clean room, good price. breakfast was pretty good
- 3/5
Was only in town for one night for a concert. The room wasn’t too bad , ac was good, bed was good (although I don’t check under sheets and stuff I just lay on top of the sheets on the already made bed) . Biggest complaint would be the bathroom. I didn’t have flip flops so I didn’t want to shower. I couldn’t. The tub didn’t look well cleaned. The bathroom also had like old dust and other peoples hair in the corners. Other than that, everything else was ok.
- 1/5
The room was Very dirty, no toilet paper, cigarette burns in top blankets both beds. Toilet nasty dirty, shower very dirty, floors not swept or mopped, fire alarm not on wall, phone broken. Very noisy. The front desk very nice!
- 1/5
They simply did not have my reservation through expedia, per their saying. I don’t know who to blame expedia or the hotel. The result was the same: the whole family spent the night in the car since everything was booked.
- 2/5
Dirt floor n bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. Also the bathroom sink was cracked n toilet lid coming off! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! 😡
- 1/5
Very dirty, no toilet paper, cigarette burns in top blankets both beds. Toilet nasty dirty, shower very dirty, floors not swept or mopped, fire alarm not on wall, phone broken. Very noisy banging. The front desk very nice!
