The hotel was older. Items were not well maintained. Our room looked out on the parking lot, and our first night we could hear loud arguments for about an hour each at 9:30 pm and 4:30 am. There were no towels at the pool. Rooms had lots of carpeting and there was a cockroach in our bathroom. Would not go back.

As a travel nurse Safety is a priority. I stayed at this hotel for 13 weeks while on assignment. Clean room friendly staff hot variety breakfast. Plenty of parking. Several dinning options near by.

I am working on a project in Aiken SC. I have stayed here for 3 weeks and will definitely stay again. The staff was friendly and local to a lot of good restaurants.

The most important thing to me when traveling is the cleanliness of the place. We were very comfortable at this hotel.

Additionally thr door to the closet housing the microwave and refrigerator fell off when it was opened. It could have seriously injured one of the babies. The staff did refund the following days and I moved to another hotel.

Overall cleanliness, Maintenance was clearly done by someone with half a brain for ex. Shower curtain rod was looped downward so the curtain would only remain in the middle. Damage to walls and cabinets was half way repaired

Then had no WiFi. Front desk had me call their WiFi service to figure it out. Really? I think that should have been the hotel's responsibility. When we would leave room and return key card wouldn't work so would have to go back down to front desk to get it fixed. The bed was not very clean (around edge of mattress and near headboard) lots of built up hair. Bathroom was the same (hair).

The main ceiling light in the room did not work, leaving the space poorly lit. Also the air unit was extremely loud making very unpleasant sounds throughout the night in which it made it difficult to sleep. The bathroom was equally disappointing. There was hair throughout the shower upon arrival, and the shower drain was not functioning properly. Water quickly pooled around my feet and rose to ankle level while showering, which was both unpleasant and unsanitary. The issues extended beyond the room. The exterior appearance of the property was poorly maintained, with beer cans and other trash scattered throughout the landscaping. This significantly detracted from the overall impression of the hotel. We will be traveling and staying in that area often now and we’re in hopes for a good experience to stay there in the future. Also I should have taken more photos but did not.

Enjoyed my stay. The staff were great. When I arrived to my room I noticed it felt pretty warm. I checked the thermostat and it was set on cool but blowing out hot air. I immediately notified the front desk and the gentleman immediately switched me to another room without hesitation. Definitely will stay again.

I love the hot breakfast that is provided but it would be bettye if there were more protein options, (i.e. bacon, ham, sausage) instead of just one.

Only had one issue with room, that being a toilet that got clogged on first morning, Informed desk, who informed maintenance man, who came up within 15-20 minutes and had it unclogged within 5 minutes. Said it was his first day; he made notations of other minor repairs needed (touch up paint, replace drain stopper). Breakfast-waffle maker had issues the 4 mornings we were there, either broken or out of batter, which was taken care of each morning. One morning a staff member working in breakfast area stated it was her first day, making me wonder if there is new management hiring/trying to turn place around from previous decline. My wife said her side of king-size mattress sagged on edge, making her feel like she was gong to fall off. Room itself was probably one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in.

The gentleman running the breakfast area was late to work, everyone was in the lobby waiting. Every seat was taken. I stopped in to the cafe area to sit in a chair. He was rude and tild me he doesn't let anyone in unril he has the breakfast put out. I told him i just wamted to sit amd wait amd there was no place to sit in lobby. He said again he didn't let anyone sit un there till breakfast waa ready. I reminded him breakfast was from 6 to 10 am not whenever he decided to show up for work. I left and told him to have a hreat day. Customer service is his only job. Someone need to train him.

The room was clean. We were on the first floor and it was very quiet. I expected a little bumping from the second floor but NO. I always book at the country inn when I'm staying in aiken, SC. Everything is so close by. The staff is very supportive. I checked in nice and smoothly. Room was very clean. I would recommend country inn to anyone anytime. Everything was perfect. I didn't dislike anything. I hated the fact that I missed breakfast lol because the breakfast is great also. But until next time. I hope everyone enjoy their stay.

We did not end up staying here. There are people living in the hotel and cooking in the rooms on hot plates. It felt completely unsafe.

I didn't use these services, save for the room cleanliness. It's one thing done excellently.

We’ve stayed at this property many times and it’s always been decent. This time was bad. First room assigned had the awful smell of stinky feet and wet dog…odor hit us the minute we walked in the door. Next room assigned…AC did not work properly, bathtub faucet literally ran, not dripped, the entire time, no toilet paper anywhere, no coffee for machine, and the list goes on and on! We will not return

The key cards you had to constantly re program. The bathroom seat was very loose and finally snapped off when sat on. Ice and vending machines didn't work. The rooms were dirty . We changed rooms and the shower water was warn and not hot enough to take a shower. The wall looked like it had blood or ketchup on it ,same with the desk.

In the am i reported it again to a manager who then told me that they offered me a new room, which is untrue and i believe she knew that wasn't true. I have to say that compared to other hotels in this area this hotel was reasonable. However I was disappointed that when I went to shower the soap dispenser and shampoo dispenser was completely empty. I was pissed since I had undressed and was in the bathtub. So I put my clothes back on and went to the front desk and they gave me the little bar soap.

The sink in the bathroom, drained poorly, the Attended had to come to my room to enter a code to make the TV work I was also billed an extra $50 for a charge I have no clue about I would never ever rent at Country Inn again.

They said that when we got moved to another room that it hadn't been put into the system the room was occupied by someone & they had put someone else in our room. When that person discovered there was someone elses stuff in there they immediately told the staff & was moved to another room. Luckily the person they gave the room didn't steal anything because there was several hundred dollars worth of stuff that was in the room. I've stayed at this location multiple times without issue but sadly after everything that happened this time me & my significant other agreed that moving forward we'll be taking our business elsewhere

We did not receive any more room service. On Monday night the 27th I had to go back to the desk for towels and wash cloths. They didn't have any towels and gave about 6 hand towels. I will never stay there again and I will not recomend it to anyone.

The hotel was not up to par as far as the smell. As soon as we stepped in the door of the hotel lobby, there was a smell of cigarette smoke. Also, on the 3rd floor, there was a urine smell when exiting the elevators.

The carpet was wet and disgusting. Asked for a new room said it was sold out. Since I paid through Expedia I couldn’t get my money back and get a different hotel. Screens on the windows were torn. Will not be staying here again.

We stayed for one night. Overall the stay was good. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The front desk service was excellent. The breakfast however was not good. There was no waffle mix, all the juices were out, no bread. Although the front desk staff responded immediately, it seemed to take the person managing the food area a while to replenish the food.

When I arrived at the property, the front desk associate was outside in the parking lot with her friends. After getting checked in, I went to the room and discovered the fire alarm was chirping. I went back to the front desk and the clerk was back outside with her friends. When she noticed me, I explained to her what was going on with the fire alarm. I asked for another room and she told me that she was completely booked. She asked if I was planning on leaving so she could get her maintenance man to change out the batteries. I went out for about 45 minutes, and when I returned to the room, the alarm was still chirping. I went to the desk and told the employee, and asked again if I could get another room. It’s reasonable and close to nearby facilities. We stayed in another Aiken hotel that had roaches from evacuees several months after Helena because the evacuees were just gross unclean people but the other hotel couldn’t do anything about it. Country Inns has always been clean and reasonable.

This property was dirty.. there were stains on the carpets and needed to be vacumed the bed sheets were old and rough the hair dryer was so sticky I did not want to touch it the air duct in the room was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned all year …the paint on the wall was chipping …the pillows on the sofa were gross and dirty …will not stay here again

The room didn't have a TV. Moved to another room. No remote control. People above us and next door loud. Breakfast buffet horrible. Shower didn't work. Requested maintenance. Request ignored. Housekeeping every 3 days but requested they empty our trash and bring coffee for the next day. Request ignored. Checked out early. The staff lied to Expedia saying we didn't check out early. So no refund. Will never stay there again.

This place is very noisy on the weekends. Work crews stay here and hang in the parking lot drinking and talking on Friday and Saturday nights. We stayed TH-T. Very quiet on week night but Friday and Saturday very noisy from all the activity in the parking lot. Beds are very soft and lumpy. My sheets had red stains on them. They'd been washed but still kind of a turnoff.

I use this hotel 4 to 6 times a yr to cone see my son ever since it's opening, over the years it was gone to the worse in the area. There are residents staying there and inside smells like cat piss now, my room was barely cleaned, no bed linens, no shower curtain in my bathroom i had to go downstairs and get both and put up myself, there was employees and residents out in the parking lot every night drinking and my granddaughter witness one peeing in parking lot, This use to be a nice place for now its trash and i will never stay here again, if i could get a refund from them for this horrible trip it would be great, I will not recommend this place ever

First hotel during my travels that had sheets and blankets for the sofa bed! Breakfast was good too! Hidden gem for sure and I would stay again!

Brianna(Bri) was very nice, understanding, and professional. She was immediately attentive to our needs. We enjoyed our stay!

As a retired travel agent, I was so pleasantly surprise at the quality I receive at this hotel. Where they found the excellent staff who runs the hotels lace I do not know because I just don’t find it anywhere anymore. Extremely happy with absolutely everything. Sonya was especially accommodating and really went the extra mile! Give that woman a raise, she is few and far between. I would gladly stay here every time I come to Aiken.

Had a couple of problems finding a room that didn't smell of tobacco and marijuana. They took care of it. Everyone was gracious and accommodating. Third time was a charm!

The drink/soda machines didn’t work and neither did any of the ice machines. Our hairdryer was gross. It was very dirty with a sticky residue and had hair pasted on it. After taking it down to the front desk and asking to have it cleaned or have another hairdryer brought up to our room they confirmed they would. After waiting 24 hours and not getting a replacement we asked about it, being told there weren’t any extras. What motel doesn’t have spare hairdryers in case of a malfunction?! Or perhaps the hired help could clean up the hairdryer and return it to our room? We could’ve cleaned it ourselves but thought with the price we paid for the room that should’ve been taken care of for us. We will be finding another motel when we are in the area again.

Overall, it was acceptable. The staff was nice and helpful. I did have an issue with the door lock not opening easily and had to have a staff member assist me to get in. When I was checking out, the elevator was out of service, so I had to carry my bags down three flights of stairs, which was inconvenient. Otherwise, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Place is well ubicated. Clean and smells very nice. Breakfast not adequate if you got there at 8:00 am no butter no eggs and they had no more to put out. Not enough food for how many people were there. Everything else was good very close to all the happenings in town.

Nice hotel. Great service. Some kind of noise/low hum all night. Maybe coming from laundry room or elevator? Didn't make for a very restful sleep. Otherwise, very clean and comfortable.

Decent hotel, helpful staff and clean comfortable room. However, the walls were paper thin. The guest on one side had their TV on virtually all night. On the other side, when the guests wake up alarm on their phone went off, it was as if it were on my own nightstand. I may have gotten 3 hours sleep when I should have been able to get 8.

The hotel was dirty and very worn out. We were given one room and it smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. The smell also was in the hall way. We asked for another room and was given another one on a different floor because it was very late at night. The second room was equally dirty and the sheets were stained with big stains. We decided to go to a different hotel, but as my wife and daughters started to leave the second room to get in our car, we came in contact with a totally nude man in the hall. Luckily the person on staff intervened and made the person go back to his room. The guy appeared to be high. Never will go there again. The only positive thing was the desk clerk who apologized repeatedly.

The room needed some updating. It was clean but the toilet paper holder was broken, the shower water was cold for most of the time even though we let it run for quite a while. The shower faucet kept running and was actually running when we got there. We went back to report it to the front desk and the gentleman working the desk came and tried to stop it and he couldn’t either. It wasn’t a drip either it was a slow stream. I was told maintenance would be there the following day to make repairs but we stayed there 3 days and he never came.

Older hotel lacking some amenities. Nice room and bathroom. They were out of eggs, meat, and coffee for breakfast. I would visit again as I believe fema may have had some people there due to the fires in South Carolina.

This was a nice property. The breakfast was great, waffles, sausage, eggs, grits, bagels, biscuits, English muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, French toast. The water for shower wasn’t hot but the manager explain the hot water heater just went out and they ordered one which will be delivered and installed in a couple of days. Staff was pleasant and helpful. However other hotel guests were not respectful including playing loud music at all hours of the night. I didn't get the feeling this was unusual. Walls were thin. It was clean but worn and we saw roaches. eww.

The hotel was not clean and my remote batteries were held by a rubber band. The entire hotel and parking lot smelled like marijuana. My room smelled like smoke. Loud music was playing outside until 4:00 in the morning. I will not stay here again.

Guest were rude about my service dog and the entire hotel smelled like smoke. No fresh fruit or water for the breakfast.

Check in was stated to be at 3pm and we arrived after 9pm and had to wait to verify that our room was ready. The doors on the 2nd floor showed Non-Smoking rooms, however the entire 2nd floor smelled of Weed, and according to friends that were on the 3rd floor, the same smell was on tgat floor. We ended up checking our a night early due to the overwhelming smell of weed smells.

Fire alarm went off at 10:30 PM. Evacuated in the freezing weather. Dryer in laundry room problem. While outside, some of the people who have been living there after the hurricane, sad the it had happened a lot !? Returned to room after 11 to find that my room key no longer worked. So back downstairs to get another key. Line of people with same problem. Not a restful stay.

We stay every year for Christmas but was to much noise during the night unable to sleep we rent to rooms and my kids was scared people from next door all night fighting people up stairs all night walking

The staff is amazing everyone is so nice and welcoming. The breakfast staff was great to interact with and breakfast was great as well.

My stay at this property location is always good. However, housekeeping and management need to do a better job of checking behind housekeepers making sure no residue is left on furniture such as night stand, tv stand and table. If it is furniture polish make sure the finish is smooth and no to look or be sticky. The shower curtains need to be changed. Just small simple things that need more attention. Elevator & floor entry should be cleaned all times. The floors were dirty in the hall and the elevator. Perception is everything to the natural eye.

Room not as described. Was sold a suite, on arrival, hotel confirmed they don’t offer suites at this location. Room sold with separate sitting area, sitting area literally next to the bed. I rarely leave anything but positive reviews, I tend to go with, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it. But I don’t want someone else to have our experience. Nearly a week later, waiting for hotels.com to validate this with hotel so I can receive a refund. Terrible all round.

We stay here 2-3 times a year, visiting family. The hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are fairly spacious and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good with some hot food options. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

It was awesome.

Nice accommodations but I had anticipated being closer to the Interstate. We were towing an antique vehicle on a trailer and the hotel was quite a ways around Aiken SC on narrow roads. Coming at night in the rain with downed trees on roadsides from the hurricane last month was a nail biter. I think hotel.com shifted my search from the Country Inn closer to the Interstate without me noticing. I will have to pay better attention next time.

Our room had a funky smell, toilet leaked, the beds were nice and breakfast was mediocre.

Although this is not a big fancy chain hotel, it has always been a pleasant place to stay. The front desk agents are always pleasant and the rooms are always clean. They offer a reasonable price on a suite if you'd like a little more room. I'll definitely continue to stay there in the future.

We stayed here for our one night away from home to come to a baby shower. Front desk was friendly. The bed and pillows were so comfy! Loved the water pressure from the shower. Loved we could make the room super cold since I forgot to bring my fan with me that I usually take when we go to a hotel. Breakfast was good to. The only two complaints I have was the water on the tub still rain a little after turning it off, and the carpet had like two spots on it that could of been cleaned better.

Room was what we expected. Not bad at all. Breakfast was good. Pretty quiet area. Still in town but far enough out that traffic wasn't a problem. Later check out time was definitely a plus.

The Staff was great. There was a cockroach in my room. I know in the south that is a common thing but I could not sleep after I saw it.

This property was immaculate and well-staffed. I would stay again. I am here for work, and compared to other hotels in the area that have raised rates, I was pleased the price was comparable.

I did not get a chance to stay because the university canceled the event and I did not have to travel due to hurricane damage. I am also disappointed that Hotels.com would not change my reservation to another day. This was bad customer service.

The lower rating was due to very fixable items that need addressed (234) . Shower curtain rod bracket was coming OUT of the wall causing the curtain to droop so much it leaked alot of water on floor; LR remote didn't work; microwave was burned up inside to the point you could smell it; telephone was filthy! These are all things that should be on the daily check list. The pool needed raked but water seemed clean. The internet was down (which the front desk failed to mention) 2.5 out of our 3 days but those things happen. I will be in the area again and will try again but call ahead and address these things. The area was convenient and quiet. The potential is there for this property.

Tabatha was a awesome and and very nice host.. i had a small issue with one of the rooms and she fixed it without any delay. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Staff during breakfast was very intentive. Beds was comfortable and hotel was quite. I felt safe for my entire stay i definitely would return no major complaints.. great for travelers solo or with a family with a outdoor pool big rooms and an awesome breakfast that's included in the stay.
