    The front desk lady was very attentive and kind. They had clean rooms. I had a hot tub in room, coffee pot, hair dryer, microwave, refrigerator, and ice bucket. Very accommodating. Staff on point. Best breakfast i have had at a hotel. With a little dining area in front lobby. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

    I asked at the front desk for one, she looked and came back and said there were none. I ended up going into my car and using my camping blanket. The towels were thin and scratchy, something I would use to wash my car. I don't expect luxury when I stay at a hotel, but this was way subpar.

    DO NOT STAY THERE. BED UGS EVERYWHERE. THEY MIVED US TO ANOTHER ROOM, IT HAD BED BUGS, THEY MOVED US TO ANOTHER ROOM, HAD EVEN MORE B D BUGS. THEY EAID MANAGER WOULD CALL US FOR REFUND.     It was located close to the event that we were attending. We did book a double/double bed room, because it was all that was available at the time, and once we arrived the staff changed it to a king room and we added an extra night, in which we did not stay. The room smelled like a boys locker room. The bed was so hard that we left a day early. The property manager needs to get with the front desk to make sure that they are aware of all of the changes that are made. Were disturbed while trying to sleep in 3 times, and then told to go to the desk.

    Staff was courteous, the jacuzzi didn’t work due to electrical issues. I declined to move rooms, because I could work with what I had. Room was clean, no bugs noticed. Would stay again.

    Breakfast was ok 1)The cracks and past in the bedroom and bathroom ceiling, looks like the room was under demolition, 2). A cracked bathroom sink with a tiny whole in it therefore we had no bathroom sink 3) there was a spider web in the corner over the microwave with a dead spider 4). The bathroom vent had spider webs and dust 5) I called the front desk immediately after entering the room with complaints and was never offered another room l was told that the manager would be in on Monday and this was Saturday after checking in, l have allergies and Saturday morning a.m. l breathing issues from these conditions of this room, this was a total nightmare, we began packing, l went to the front dest explaining all of the problems and asked for the management's information, l was directed a business card that was at the station, l mentioned that l have paid for another night that l can't use because l refused to stay in the room #149 any longer and left, On Monday l put in a call to the manager Adriana Rivero, to be told that she was out of the office, l left a message asking for a return call including my name and number, l haven't received any call, with no response as of yet.

    The vending machie was only a dollar for a canned soda. They had a $50 incidental fee i was unaware of until i checked in, they say ill get it back 3 to 5 business days after checkout so we'll see. There was paint peeling off the ceilings, one of the lights in the bathroom didnt work, all of the rooms including the non smoking rooms used to all be smoking rooms "until a few months ago" according to the lady at the front desk so we tried 2 different rooms and both smelled like stale cigarettes AND to top it off they had roaches. Not worth over $100 and they claimed they couldnt refund me so i had to stay. 0 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

    This hotel at least from the room we attempted to stay in has false pictures on booking. The health department needs to get involved. MOLD in the showers, it stunk, something look like poop on the floor. We were in there for 5 minutes. I was ready to run up out of there. Everything.

    We were there for a 1 night stay, we were in Aiken for Nationals dance competition. Our room was comfortable and well worth the price. It could have been a tad cleaner, and maybe some upgrades (coffee pot) and a refrigerant refresh on the fridge (wasn't very cold) however, with that being said, we would definitely stay here again! Just that there was no coffee pot, the fridge wasn't really cold, and it needed a little cleanup

    I was disappointed to find that the Clarion Inn and Suites was nothing more than a motel ran by Choice. The free parking was the best part about my stay!! My room was switched because a stain resembling blood was on the pillowcase. The towels were a very dingy white and not matching. I asked that my trash be picked up and for fresh towels before leaving in the morning. When I returned in the evening this had not been done. There was nothing in the tub to prevent slipping and falling, very hazardous!! The draperies did not close. I was given a paper clip to close them. And besides all this, there was a roach, in my sink!! I was able to get rid of it by when I threw a cup of water on it and ran hot water in the sink to wash it down the drain. I was very disappointed. I kept looking at the Fairfield across the way wishing I had known it was in the same area.

    Water was coming up through the floor after we used water. AND the smell of a cleaning product / masking agent was so over powering , we had to vent the room for over an hour. I'm allergic to those products too and informed the staff at that time. She said all the rooms were the same. Fortunately, I just developed a long lasting headache. Then nasal congestion that did not clear up until leaving the next day. We asked for more towels to blot the floor and prevent slipping and were told we could only get 1 more set by the manager. In addition, the TV stopped working. No apology from manager on staff for either issue. NO, we will not stay there again.

    I rented this hotel for a week last year and vowed that I would never go back. After listening to the advice from several others. Idecided to give it one more shot. I am very glad that I did. Everything from the rooms getting a new "facelift". To the pleasant greetings from the staff. All the way to the parking accommodations and quiet atmosphere.

    Do not bother! Property is very old and unkept, not clean or taken care of. Also, we prepaid for 3 nights and after one night we wanted to check out and requested a refund. Expedia said it would be up to the property to issue a refund and of course they refused!! Will never stay a a Clarion property in Aiken again!!

    We went for hot tub therapy for my son. We didn't realize that rhe hot tub on site meant in particular rooms. There was a small hibachi in the gazebo where lights didnt engage till fully dark, so there wasn't much light to barbeque by in the evening. Breakfast buffet had limited selection, but was good.

    This hotel is basically you get what you pay for. The first room I was assigned smelled like wet dog and the most disgusting smell ever so then I was moved to another room. It smelled slightly better but wasn't wonderful. The bathroom light had a short in it and flickered so I had to shower by my phone light. The electrical sockets were loose so anything I plugged in pulled right out. The only positive is the bed was comfortable and the front desk staff were nice.

    the price point was OK If the bathroom was clean and updated a real toilet seat would have been nice. none of the towels were clean even the ones we requested, the tub was poor, and the shower head was discussing there was animal hair everywhere. the bed frames were broken and more animal hair. the front door meets the frame so we did not know if critters would come in. the microwave needed to be replaced it was old and discussting.

    Pool was covered up, and not able to use. Bed spring was broken on one side and very uncomfortable. There was no spa tub in our king bedroom as described when room was booked. Workout room was full of trash and debris and unable to use at all. Breakfast was awful. No milk. No juice. There was a waffle maker, but no batter. Staff was very friendly, room was clean, good hot water.

    The Clarion/Aiken a major facelift. I stayed here a couple of years ago, and even though I knew it's wasn't a high-end chain, it was clean and "fine". Everything about the property this time left the impression it's just scraping by. Time for an update and I wish them well.

    This hotel desperately needs to be updated. The wallpaper, paint, carpet, etc. are visibly worn. The sheets were clean, and shower water was hot. This is a hotel with outside access rooms which is a little concerning. You can see the outside through the seal in the door and tenants outside can be easily heard. Will not stay here again.

    There was a huge flying bug in our room. The staff said it was common for the area. I asked for a different room but they didn’t grant our request.They did try to help kill the bug, but I was so uncomfortable afterwards that I didn’t stay the night and checked out a few hours later.

    We had a king room. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. The shower was in bad condition. There was mold where caulk used to be and the shower head sprayed everywhere because of build up. The toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall. I understand the property is old and priced on the lower side, but cleanliness should be a priority.

    I had an employee (housekeeper) take my beer out of my room. Debris come back up from the drain, I cleaned that out and took a photo of what came out as the water wouldn’t go down either due to the debris in the drain. The sheets were dirty in the room I ended up staying in, the first room I was put in was filthy so I was moved. Carpet was filthy!! Housekeeper stole my beer. So much wrong with this!!

    This is my favorite hotel to go too in Aiken, SC I stay here every time I come home which is once a week. The rooms are always clean and Mrs. Linda is always nice and helpful.

    Roaches in room, and was approached by 3 guys asking for $ or ride to their P.O. Its too bad because the hotel is near a nice plaza and area in Aiken.

    The staff was friendly and thats the only good thing about our stay. The rooms and facilities are NOT reflected in the pictures advertised. The room smelled terrible like it had been closed up or hot for a long while. It smelled musty. The dress was very clear broken. The cleanliness was just enough to not make me run away but not good. There was a large travel ball tournament in town for the weekend so options to find another place were not really available. The room was not so bad we couldn't sleep in it for a night but FAR from what it is advertised as and for $100 a night it definitely should have been cleaner. The pool is much smaller than it looks also but it was fairly clean. Breakfast was advertised at 6am and they had a sign posted on the lobby door for 6am but we were told breakfast would not be until 7. The early breakfast at the hotel was one of the reasons we booked and then that wasnt available. have tried to add photos but the app isn't attching them.

    The carpet in my room was overly damp. The smoke detector was beeping with a low battery alarm. Cobwebs in the corners and the spread on the bed was also damp. Dog barking late into the night and early in the morning in the room right above me.

    Sink basin and shower stall walls were cracked. Wallpaper is coming off the bathroom walls. Sheets, comforter, and mattress were not comfortable. Overall, the room needs a big update.

    But when I went to check into my room, a single female, I was very uncomfortable, walking to my room as there were some folks lingering in the parking lot that seemed a bit sketchy. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. I was relocated on the other side of the building on the second floor. Felt much more secure. It’s sad to see Aiken kind of falling in stature with more and more or less desirable folks hanging around

    Long time expedia member folks. Avoid this place. Booked two rooms and had to be moved to different rooms on both. The staff were excellent, but the rooms are not. Roaches in room and mold in shower. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke in bathrooms, maybe because of shared ventilation system between rooms. needs a remodel. this place is not on my list rebook.

    They keep screwing up my finances and double billing me.. So far I've spent over $300 in overdraft fees. Because I keep taking money out and putting it back in. Not the way I would run my business. And I will never stay here again because of the non stop inconvenience of their nonsense. The staff is wonderful but somebody keeps messing up stuff that cost me money.

    Bed and TV were OK, except that they use DIRECT TV which is difficult to find channels. I hate DIRECT TV. Would not stay here again unless there was no other option. Breakfast was good, no problems. Took me a while to adjust the hot/cold shower. A millimeter between scalding hot water and ice cold water. Finally got it after trying for several minutes.

    The service is good and there is a hot free breakfast everyday, so is ideal for busy workers getting on with their day. My main problem is the Wifi is terrible and on the last 2 visits, the fitness room is closed up for no apparent reason. Fix these 2 things and you'll improve it tremendously

    From checking in to coming into a very clean room my stay was amazing and restful. The morning breakfast had a tremendous selection and was delicious. I will most definitely stay here again, and I will have to tell my family friends about how pleasant and friendly the staff was.

    I did request to change rooms twice but each time was for a different problem. The front desk person I dealt with was argumentative and actually angry. I said that my reservation could be canceled if it was a problem and she told me that was not possible. I ended in a room where the tv was inoperable for an hour while I waited on maintenance. “She’s from NY, that’s how she is”. Not hospitable.
